✓ Great app if you are a Desi95% of profiles are for Desi folks, it would be great if they like to mix with others but they don’t, so if you are from another minority group, this app will not make dating any easier, just same luck (or less) like anywhere else. The app requires a photo to activate profile (as they should) but this means girls who are only confident in their looks have profile here which makes me think the males are probably 80% of the 300k profiles I hope the developers would add the following options to save time and frustration for your paying customers: 1. A profile field for the willing to relocate or not. I think this more useful than time frame to marriage 2. Add option to list desired family origin for partner, because let’s face it there is race bias in Muslim community and it will save a lot of time and frustration for your users also please crack hard on those who don’t have face pics once they have been verified and also crack down on those who use your app to gain new IG and snap followers. ✓ Match disappearedI was matched with someone that it was finally going well with then their profile completely disappeared. Not showing up in my unmatched tab either and wouldn’t make sense for them to block me with the way it was going. Another profile I was matched with but was about to unmatch disappeared the exact same way. All in the same way weekend. No way two separate people decided to block me back to back within a weekend when no one else has even they unmatched me or vice versa. This is highly upsetting because I have no idea what he sees on his end and now a flaw in your app could be responsible for the end of something before it could start, completely defeating your own purpose. Half of the people you like don’t even exist or have deactivated their accounts but it’s still up - it happen to me when I Re downloaded the app thinking I create a new page, but my old profile from a year ago was still up getting matches . Double accounts, the profile prompt questions should be updated. And they’re should be a guide to profile etiquette, clear pictures, encouraging to give more than one word response. I overall hate dating apps because it’s so hard to get matches that lead to face to face meetup, but that’s not Salaams fault, it’s women don’t put their 100%, they must think guys here are not serious and looking for hookup. If I just wanted a hookup I would just use Tinder. I wish they came up with ways to make women more proactive and engaging here. For example, if women get so many matches, only reveal them profiles that are proactive and premium only and only 5 profiles per day limit. If they get 50 matches per day that’s overwhelming to them and they act passive and eventually give up. Salams should keep PROMPTING them if it can unmatch those profiles since she is not talking to them.
