✓ REALLY GOOD but...I think the game is extremely good I think it’s perfect it’s fun I can play it for hours but the one thing I really do NOT like is that with the special events you have to be a certain level to do it. You shouldn’t have to be forced to be level 7 on your boat for example you should be able to do it because lots of people who play the game are going to miss the opportunity to win some really valuable items but they can’t because of the levels. And I know you can upgrade but it is extremely expensive and your not always going to get a price offer to lower the price. Like it’s costing me upwards of 350 gems just upgrade something that’s 3 stars! In my mind that’s insane and people shouldn’t have to forced to buy gems just so they can do the event. They should do the level and if they can’t then so be it. Also so many people can do it anyways most people can do the special events activities without needing to upgrade their things. You don’t need like a level 7 boat to do a race. Most people will be able to easily do the activities at the lower levels and it’s more challenging to do it that way. I really hope Gameloft reads this because this is making me miss out and really great things and even though there is a chance you can win them with keys it’s still not guaranteed..Version: 1.8.0
✓ Good until...I fully recommend this game to anyone searching for an open world/ GTA kind of style mobile game. Best one of the store in my opinion. I have been playing for quite some time now, but about a month or two ago I had to delete to save some space on my phone. Recently, I re-downloaded it, and it saved all my data which I thought was excellent for I was pretty advanced by the time I had left. However, two days ago, I tried opening the app and it said: breaking in recruits 3/6 It has been stuck on that since and I cannot open the app in any way so I am a bit annoyed but I am sure there is a way to fix the problem. I hope this feedback can let me still play this amazing 3D world game..Version: 1.4.1
✓ Good but....This game is actually pretty good for a mobile game. I like the graphics the map is huge and the combat is fun. Overall good game. Except for one thing. The way you get gear is super dumb!!!!! Instead of no shops, you have to earn a jar thing that gives you a CHANCE to earn a mediocre item at most. Gameloft, please for the love of god actually put a shop like in the Vegas ganstar. It would make the game less of a grind and allowing people to buy the stuff they actually want. That would make a lot of people happy. I’ve actually became uninterested in playing because their was nothing new and exciting to have fun with. Don’t get completely rid of the spirit jars. ✓ Fix connectionIt is a very god game and lots of fun but for me at the moment I can’t agree because the game wont load because all that happens is on the loading screen it goes to 63/80 then it goes to 23/80 then it said try again later and it still won’t load and now it has been going on fore several years (you might think it is weird but I have enjoyed this game and don’t want to give up in it because it has so much potential but I have also used several vpn networks and not 1 has worked) have tried to contact game loft through Instagram for advice to sort is out but a few days later no answer so until it loads and I can play it will be a 3 star rating but if fixed then I will give 5 stars. ✓ Add these thingsI’M LOVING GANGSTAR NEW ORLEANS BUT THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT COULD BE ADDED TO THE GAME!!! - PUT PEOPLE IN THE BUILDINGS with them actually doing stuff - Make it to where we can do more stuff at our mansions - being able to text our homies individually, gift them or something( right now we just have homies for nothing) - US BEING ABLE TO PICK OUR SHOES TO GO WITH OUR OUTFIT INSTEAD OF THE PANTS PICKING OUR SHOES!!! - MORE CLOTHES - Battle pass or something -add a aim button for every gun - being able to customize our guns( scopes, extended mags, gun skins and more) -being able to customize our cars in our garage( color, tattoos, tire, spoilers, armor and more) - when we steal the car from people they fight back sometimes - being able to rob places like stores, banks, casinos and more( but when that comes out make it to where when we rob banks, stores, and other places we get stars and different star levels for the place we robbed)! ✓ GlitchesOk the game is fine has potential. But i think the game should have an offline option since im getting tired of fighting over an area with another player who then completely out rates me. Therefore, i would prefer an offline mode where other players cant take over ur area especially when u are trying to make progress thru the game without having to deal with other players. Ps everytime i charge my iphone SE to play the game the map likes to appear out of random and the vehicle controls hardly work. ✓ A solid GTA-cloneI love urban open world games and constantly revisit the virtual cities of the GTA and Watch_Dogs titles. Gangstar: New Orleans is not quite up to that level of quality, but considering that the app is FREE this is one beast of a bargain for any mobile device. Though the GTA series on the iOS are deeper, more solid games, they just weren’t meant to be played on a smartphone. I feel that Gangstar’s shorter mission design is better suited for the on-the-go format, just as the control scheme is a preferred fit for the touchscreen. To add to the lightning fast structure of the campaign, in this installment you can even begin missions by directly tapping an icon on the menu map instead of traveling to its location if you’re pressed for time. The city is also well-realized for a mobile game and causing havoc and exploring in the open world is always a blast. It is no doubt flawed, however. High on-screen action can dip its performance greatly with constant frame drops. The story is rather disjointed and juvenile in nature. I would’ve also liked a greater emphasis on radio stations. In spite of these imperfections, though, I feel the need to thank Gameloft for their ambition of trying to replicate this genre on the small screen..Version: 1.5.1

✓ SO addictiveThe second I downloaded this app and started playing the first mission I just couldn’t stop playing! Firstly the cop chases are so good because they are pretty much the same as the chases in gta 5 and 4 plus they are so realistic like in real life!! Secondly the story missions are really well made like bank robbery mission and the mission where you kill the duke. Thirdly the new orlands map is super fun to explore and discover! So in conclusion the game is really well made and if you can’t get the gta series just download this game its really fun to play and you will enjoy it..Version: 2.1.0

✓ The game Saints row 4 SHOULD have been!This game is AWESOME (as are MOST Gameloft games)! This company SHOULD be making games for the TV game systems, they are SO good at making these mobile games with MINIMAL memory/resources, I’d LOVE to see what they could do with a 100GB game on PS4! This looks, runs, plays exactly like a game like this SHOULD, even better really considering I’m on a medium grade device (iPad6 base model). The story, characters, & overall “feel” of this game remind Me of Saints Row 2 (the all time BEST sandbox story mode game to date). It may take a little more memory then those BAD wannabe GTA clones in the store, but it’s actually BETTER then playin the old Rockstar ones for the 100th time, & better then MOST of those PSP/game boy GTA games they have in the store (i.e. Liberty city stories/Chinatown wars, etc.). If You want a GREAT game get this, or the other free Gameloft game in Vegas... If You have the cash, even get the pay $ 1s Gameloft made, as those are even better! All, & all this is My favorite one though (I haven’t gotten the pay 1s yet, so I’ve only tried the 6 free GTA clones in the store, Big city online 2 is “okay”, but pales in comparison to this, & Vegas by Gameloft)!.Version: 1.6.1

✓ Awesome game, here are some easy ideas to make it betterGreat game, super addicting with a different experience every time. Here are a few ideas for future updates: 1: traffic control. Sometimes it’s fun to weave and dodge through cars, but with some of the faster cars I think that it would be nice with no traffic to just flat-out speed through the streets. It would be nice in the settings menu to have a toggle for traffic control like in other games. 2: another train. There is a tram in the French Quarter, but I think it would be nice to have like a freight train going around the map that maybe we can hitch a ride on. I personally love trains so if this happened I would be very excited. 3: more interactivity. Story mode is good, but after you complete the story missions they almost never appear again and it was fun interacting with the characters. When you walk up to a random person on the street they do say stuff, but even making those just slightly longer could make a difference. Maybe making story missions for the future that could be periodically unlocked by level would keep this interesting. Thanks for reading, and I hope that these can be added in the future! ✓ Amazing…..But 4 suggestions for an updateThe 1st you should do is put as a 6th star when you are being chased by the cops military tanks, missiles and aeroplanes and the 2nd thing is make a mode where you can play multiplayer and the 3rd thing is you need to add a button where you can take photos in the game in case you want to take a photo with out your character in it the 4th thing you should do is make the items in the shop to buy clothes for your character cheaper. and about the ads there’s sometimes one where it doesn’t take me back to the game after it’s done. The graphics and sound design are decent, and there is a good selection of vehicles and weapons to choose from. However, one area where the game could be improved is the car destruction mechanics. While there are some destructive elements in the game, it would be great to see more realistic and satisfying car destruction. Additionally, it would be preferable if the cars didn't disappear when you receive a star. This could enhance the immersion and provide more opportunities for gameplay strategies. ✓ Great improvementI absolutely love this update to the game. I is so much fairer than the update before because I couldn’t make much progress in the story because I had to have really good weapons and now I’m being overwhelmed with a number of things to to do It’s even better to take over turfs as the recommended level is done in stars which is actually a good system as you get a spirit jar after every mission. I also like the way you can’t pick the previous difficulty and it’s good that you got rid o the collections and stash things The only this I wish would stop happening is every once in a while the game would have to connect to the sever and one thing that you could improve is the AI in the game when I’m driving and more cars and building I could go into thanks.Version: 1.5.0

✓ Amazing game with space for improvementsGreat game, went well over my expectations. Improvement recommendations: Fix the glitches that occur now and then; Slow down the percentage rate decreases over the turfs (it is just impossible to keep up with only 20 energy every 1.5 hour); Create more achievement rewards to increase gameplay while waiting; expand limitations on can be done when walking about in the future. I also noticed more frequent ads after I became around level 15. I am fine with ads now and then for a awesome free game but it just becomes frustrating when there is an overload of ads popping up every time I exit playing (also not to mention the glitches caused). ✓ MusicI love this game it’s interesting, has great graphics and it runs well I’ve been playing for weeks and I love the way it has been set out as well however I’d love to have an option when I’m driving to change the radio to the kind of music I want to hear in ways I’d love to be able to have that option and it would be great if their were genre options as well. It’s VERY annoying) - robbing/stealing/buildings (Okay, everyone agrees we should rob stores for money. My only problem with this game is that you cant gain exp easily, you only gain exp for first time missions and story ones so it is impossible to go past level 20 even with ingame purchases. ✓ Could be 5 Stars.I love this game don't get me wrong. It's a solid environment GTA clone game. Its really good trust me. You can be pimping in your Katori in the projects or be racing in the rich neighborhoods. Its good but... it needs more to do in free roam. It would be cool if you could interact with stores. And in stead of unlocking the cars and weapons and money you could just get money for yourself because I personally don't like the turf idea. I like the free roam. You can save cars in your garage since it is kind of useless because you can only store the cars u own but if u find a rare car and u want to store it in your garage you can. 2. Rolls you can roll like in six guns a button that you can press to roll. 3. You can aim with guns like six guns and GTA for example and if you shoot someone in the head he instantly dies and anywhere else it takes a few shots. 4. Rare cars and weapons and spirit jars around the map, if you find one of these they become yours if you store a car in your garage or a gun in the armory and a spirit jar you open automatically. 5. ✓ HeistI enjoy playing this game very much. It almost replicates GTA and I love that. My only concern is that while on the street and roaming about, there seems to be a lack of things to do. Correct me if I am wrong, but I have been playing for a little while now and you can’t enter any buildings or do anything with them. Besides that, one thing that would be absolutely awesome is if you would add a Heist feature. If I had the ability to attempt heists, this would be no doubt my favorite game of all time. ✓ Things to change/addI’ve never written a review before but there’s a few things about the games that’s been bugging me. I don’t like how I can’t change the sensitivity of controls. I also wish I would be able to edit where the button are because on the iPhone XR a lot of the buttons on the edges get cut off. Also when you go to equip a new weapon in your loadout the view of the load out over laps the equip button so you have to press a small sliver of it to get it to work and it sometimes takes a few trys. I think Gameloft needs to add in a button that allows you to scope in with all the guns. I also think that Gameloft should add a speedometer to the cars and make make customizable controls for them. I would like to be able to rob civilians for like money and stuff too not just kill them. I really enjoy the game otherwise though. Ohh and I’d like it if you’d add in a forklift we could drive and like pick up cars and stuff just for fun..Version: 1.8.0

✓ Very good,Good realism, But one more thing.It kinda doesn’t make any sense as of why you can’t steal airplanes or helicopters, You can do this in Vegas but I the game has a huge map. And there are no planes to steal as in Vegas it’s a tiny map with planes to steal. Also since there are interiors of some buildings and stores also warehouses, Should you be able to rob them? I mean like it would be a good way to earn money in free roam instead of walking around killing a monster and getting like 3 stars in the process. You know how cars spawn like not far from you probably like how close you are to the road. Do that with helicopters because usually when I spawn a helicopter it’s like 200 meters away. So make it spawn like in front of you or you spawn in it. Secondly influence and control. I had got all the unlocked turfs and then they started to get influence back and the weird thing is i was at very low influence even though I had raided them. ✓ IPhone 10 support is bad!So first off, I love this game. It’s fun when I’m drunk to just mess around with the police and run over people. The thing that gets on my nerves though is that they haven’t updated this game in almost a year and I’m using an iPhone Xr. So basically if you have the 10 series, you might as well not play. When you go to your inventory to try to equip new weapons, you can’t because the weapon display is on top of the equip button so you can’t even change weapons. You’ll end up stuck with a maxed out shot gun(that actually does a lot of dog at max stars police) but ofc you can get even stronger gun and I can’t even use them. Another thing is, for some reason when I was getting my daily login rewards, it skipped over the 2-star gun but gave me all my other reward that Weren’t even worth it tbh. ✓ Great game, but I’m encountering a major bugI’ve had this game for a few months now, and I’ve had a great time with it. There are tons of guns, cars, and outfits to choose from. I really like the open world environment, and I love how huge the map is. I only have one issue. Sometimes when I open the game I get these weirdly formatted ads. I understand that the game needs ad revenue to help it survive, and the ad volume is no issue (very reasonable). The issue is that these ads don’t quite fit on my screen and there is no “x” button after the ad has played out. The result is that I can’t continue playing the game and need to close out the app. However, some of these ads occur upon start up and prevent me from playing entirely. ✓ Needs help...This is a good game. Very addictive and one of the only games on my phone. And even though it’s a game it’s so fake and tacky. Things you need to fix or edit are: when you are on the run from police they know right where you are so there really isn’t anything exciting like hiding. Also when you are on the run cars for some reason swerve in front of you for no reason at all. And when you are the run from police sometimes everyone and all the cars disappear and there’s legit no one. And when you hit someone with a car and get out to surrender the police automatically start shooting at you, like why? And I wish you could go into the houses and stores and make it be more interactive. The cop cars are always faster than your car, even if you’re riding in the exact car they are they will always catch up to you. The guns don’t do any damage to anything and you have to use like 100 bullets in order to kill 1 cop. I truly don’t understand why the cops automatically start shooting at you like chill out and the apps legit rigged for you to get caught, cars swerve in-front of you, cops legit appear out of thin air and when your getting away more cops show up and start shooting at you. I think a big problem people encounter is not understanding that, as a mobile game, it needs to be respected as its own class of games, due to the entirely unique control layout I think it’s unfair to simply make your review “it isn’t as good as GTA” because obviously it won’t compete with the name brand title that has been around for a decade longer. Honestly I think you should add in more things to do like heists, more story missions, and possibly multiplayer. I think multiplayer would be great thing for the game.
