✓ Great AppI like this app, as often I find it far easier to jot a note, rather than place it on “Notes” or placing it within an app which I find difficult or somewhat ‘fiddly’ and this complicated to use. It is also great to use when I am feeling stressful or agitated! It did not get the full five stars, since there were many other “bits and bobs” which needed paying for. I refuse to do that, but I would think that quite a number of users would expect these ‘add on apps’ to come free with this! Yes they are beautiful and that is important because it's a pleasant and inviting environment to work with, but really it's what they leave out that is even more important. No gimmicks, no useless tools, each of their app cater to different needs letting you enjoy the medium, create and share. It's the kind of app you don't only use for yourself but actually give your device for others to use it too. Naturally, collaboratively with hardly anything to explain. ✓ A CARTOONIST'S DELIGHT!The "feel", response and drawing/writing action on the "dipped ink" pen option, especially, is wonderful - great for slick cartoons! One can even do "splats" onto the page. (I often send my doodles to friends via Touchnote postcards, another great app.) Although there are NO ads on the free version, I paid £1.99 for the upgrade and, amongst other extras, I can now add text to my creations. I use this on an iPhone 6s Plus, and it's easy and fun for notes, little drawings, simple diagrams; anything I need to convey via illustration. a better text interface (similar to the text journal in paper by 53) would improve this app. most of all I want layers here and would pay for that feature... sketches offers them but is way clunkier and less fun to use than this..Version: 3.7

But I have a quick question, why don’t you add a label on the top of the sheet of paper and say something like...(draw like never before) or...(self portrait) that will make this app a bit more satisfying and fun. Brushes and pens are all 3D Touch responsive, fully customizable, and very realistic. I quickly fell in love with this app and opted to upgrade for an unlimited palette and additional tools, but also just to show my appreciation to the app developer. The basic version on its own is stunning. The upgrade is worth it if you want to set up an extensive palette so that you never have to "mix" colours. Eye dropper tool and photo import features are indispensable. I haven't had any crashes, and I have been using the app for a few weeks. ✓ Love it!So I’ve been looking for a nice app for quick drawings and doodles without all the fanfare, but enough decent drawing tools. This is the one I finally fell in love with as I really enjoy the Tayasui Sketches app already. I really want to give it 4.5 stars but thats not an option. My one major complaint is the lack of two-finger-tap undo, which is available in the other Tayasui drawing apps. Im a little undo-happy and I’d appreciate that a lot. A smaller complaint is the way the color chooser doesnt display the full spectrum at the bottom, rather a segment that is scrolled left and right. This is a bit counterintuitive as it causes me to subconsciously swipe in the wrong direction because Im used to apps with a full spectrum and a slider. Anyway, love this app! ✓ Good app, but one little issueThis is great but my only problem is when your picking a color, a little dot is automatically on the paper then you have to select the eraser, and then when you switch back to the pen and pick a color the little dot shows on the paper with color you picked, then you have to erase again. ✓ Useful with caveatsGood app, wanted something to hook up to the TV as a whiteboard. Ink is smooth and I like the automatic saving. The annoying thing for me is having to click the tool to bring up the tool selection palette. I write quite big and have to click to select the lasso tool from the palette and use two fingers to make my writing smaller. I then have to repeat the process to add more writing which can be cumbersome when writing lists. There is room along the bottom of the screen under the colour selector to have the palette already open so I could select the tool I want..Version: 4.4

The user interface is very easy to master and with the "Pro Tools" add-on there is a great set of features here. I also like the way it auto-saves previous work and always presents a new, clean screen on start-up. I have knocked one star off just because I think there is some room for future development. It would be nice if you could edit previous efforts rather than just have them saved to the Camera Roll. OK, you can re-import the photo but you cannot change it at all other than just draw on top of it. It would also be nice to have the option of a larger canvas - I do like those infinite canvas apps that you can zoom in and out of. But, for a v1 app this is very good..Version: 1.01

✓ Great with active stylusI recently picked up one of those inexpensive active stylus pens that works on all touch screens, and I spent a long time trying to find an app that was decently accurate and didn't make my writing look super shaky. This one works great for that, and the interface is very fun and friendly. It's been great for making little doodles or jotting notes or simple diagrams. Definitely give this app a try..Version: 6.1
✓ Immediate note writerI love this very simple note taking application. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of others. But it does let you easily start a new note very quickly and easily. It also doesn't keep many notes - ideal for simple note taking. If I decide to keep the note I can opt to save it to Notes or iCloud. This is so useful it has made it into my iPad app dock! ✓ PerfectThis app is perfect for what it is: an elegant, simple drawing app for getting ideas down quickly. But unlike many other apps for the same purpose, the beautiful colours, brushed, and ink made me want to keep drawing & create more than just quick visual notes. :-) A really great, well-designed app. Nice too that the free version still includes enough to really use it & give it a try. ✓ Very good startInterface is nice and simple. Multiple export and cloud service options with pro mode. There seems to be working palm rejection, which is fantastic. However, it really is for the roughest of sketches - the resolution seems far too low for anything important at this time, you only have to zoom in about 20% before you start to see pixels. ✓ Why is the app different on my new ipad?Fewer tools available in the new download on my new ipad. Also, long press on a tool does not allow me to change the size/width of the stroke on any tool. ✓ Often crashes with cut tool- but still goodThis is my favourite app for notes- writing appears much smoother than most. Only issue is it often crashes when using the cut tool; this is frustrating as you can lose hours of work! I sent two emails however no response.
