✓ Way behind in technology.This ap is missing a ton of features that other aps have. I had to get this ap to use one of my etext books. This ap does not give you the option to highlight or take notes. You can't zoom out and see multiple pages at once. I usually like to see how many pages are in a chapter so I can split up the reading and in order to do that I have to flip through each page and count. This just isn't super user friendly especially for college textbooks..Version: 5.1.55

✓ Can’t organize documents/unresponsive customer servicePro: I use this reader exclusively for its text-to-speech. It has a few glitches, but works well enough & lets me listen to my books that haven’t been turned into audiobooks. Cons: the description says you can organize documents in the file manager, but after spending a lot of time experimenting with every option I could find, I still can’t make subfolders or move docs out of the inbox. Sure, the sorting feature works, but I like the convenience of having folders, and the app’s description touts its ability to make them and to search subfolders. I wondered if this was a premium feature, so I bought the pro version, but nothing in the UI changed (it’s really, really nice not dealing with the constant onslaught of ads, though — they’re incredibly intrusive) Even worse, tech support is completely non-responsive. I have emailed them repeatedly to ask how to make folders & move docs, but they haven’t responded. I’ll continue using this app for reading my books aloud, but I’ll be using Marvin for when I read ePubs, because I have a lot more control there over how I organize them and its UI is much better (note: to be fair, it doesn’t support as many doc formats as this one — it’s a specialized ePub reader)..Version: 5.1.55
✓ A ePub reader when I needed oneThe app is full of ads and people who got the paid version have to make additional payments to read pdf's with it. I'm thankful that it lets me read my books but I just wish it was add free from the get go.Version: 5.1.55
✓ Its gone downhillSometimes I wonder what I signed up for. Nearly $10 of in app purchases and I can’t even find the books I’ve added even with bookmark. It seems like everything has become an ‘in app purchase’. How disappointing to see what greed has done to such a good app..Version: 5.1.55
✓ Unusable interface.There are some very clever features in this application, but the big problem is that the user interface is seemingly impossible to get to, and there are no instructions. I loaded an ebook into it and never succeeded in unloading it. I eventually had to delete the application with the ebook in place. If they had kept instructions on their website on whatever gestures were required to get at the user interface I’d have won. Beware too their highly annoying adverts. I tried upgrading to the pro version to get away from the adverts but the upgrade process was broken.Version: 5.1.55

✓ Overall it's good butWhen you try to find meaning of a word with look up. It will go and search for you. Its only one time deal. Then its stuck and can not do anything. You need to reopen the app all over again. Better not to find a word with this. Totally useless. And if you even buy a pro version, it does not mean, it includes other thing like reading pdf file. you have to buy them one by one, if you want all. Other than this, its gonna give many features that you can play around. I bough with pro version and feel like its not worth that much. ✓ Last page of ePUB files not shownThe last page of every chapter is not shown. It cuts off midsentence. Turning to the next chapter then reduces the page count by one. I found a workaround, where you can change font sizes on the next to the last page, and get the missing page back. ✓ File Manager CrashesI spend hours downloading files and building my library, then soon as I click Documents in file manager- the app crashes soon as you click on it and the iPad goes back to the Home Screen icon and nothing! ✓ Not happy!I got this app to read a book I already had. Not only I was unable to add it to my library permanently, to open it I had to go through files and use open with command. It would not remember the page I was, te table of contents stopped loading after a week of use. The frequency of ads seem to have increased quite a bit over the said week as well. ✓ Keeps CrashingI would of given this a 5 start rating 12 months ago as I love the way you can change the setting, font size and shape, background colours and font colours as I’m visually impaired and find a white background has too much glare. Over the past 6 months the app has started to play up and stop working to the point that now I cannot use it at all. It just keeps crashing on both my iPhone and iPad. ✓ WAS A - Brill app! - Now not so sure!I bought TotalReader many years ago, but after putting 3Gb of books on it it is a little slow now. Epub is by the same developers, with the same controls so is easy to use once you get used to it. I can heartily recommend the app. The app has recently become completely jammed and unusable. I have contacted the developers with no response, so have to adjust my rating to 2 stars..Version: 5.1.55
