✓ Skip this app until the developer improves it!My family LOVES Rummikub! We own several physical versions of the game and play it at home, on trips and for our get togethers. Due to COVID19, we bought this version so we could play online together. In order to start a private game with your family or friends, you must first log into Facebook. After connecting to FB, you should be able to invite your friends from FB to play. Unfortunately, none of us can get past the swirling circle on the screen area that should show a list of your FB friends. Even after 20+ minutes, multiple attempts and trying both a phone and tablet, the app never populates the friend list so you can start a private game. What do a waste of $7 & the developers should be ashamed to not provide basic functionality for that price! More than ever we need games and apps that are reliable and fun to help us cool next with family and friends! We are big fans of the physical game, but crushed by the poor performance of the app version..Version: 4.2.74

✓ Some problems with updated version.Brighter cleaner look to the new version, but there are some problems... Particularly, if I am the first to play in a hand, and I have to pick a tile, the tile that I get IS ALWAYS A BLACK 1. ✓ Discouraging! Not worth the moneyI love to play, it’s so fun and the app is really easy to use so I decide to pay the $6.99 to get rid of the ads and support the developers. It’s discouraging to play. Not only did I lose all points I earned in the free version but was up to level 6 and lost a few games and was demoted to level 1. It’s really hard to level up. ✓ Clunky and disconnects : drop down interferenceI loved this game but this app interferes with making complicated moves at critical points by disconnecting. The tiles come too close to the edge which activates the drop down menu on IPhone 6 Plus. Please fix that. Also include afeature that allows moving groups/runs on to the board. I can only place 1 tile at a time. The experience could be far more elegant for the price. It is a simple game so more attention to user experience/visual/audio is warranted. A majority of players cheat and hoard, and you should allow us to block users we don’t want to interact with again. A majority of the time the game also comes up with a connection error that never seems to get fixed. ✓ Need to Fix Game PlayWas playing regular Rummikub and advancing levels and enjoying gameplay. Got tired of the ads and thought this would be similar. It is not. Issues: - algorithm throwing random dice is not random, way too many duplicates of same tiles - bots are moving tiles way too fast to compete against - it is just impossible to move that many tiles in 30 seconds - given poor tile randomization and bots this scoring methodology makes it nearly impossible to advance. - edge of screen commands need to be adjusted to avoid overlap with gameplay (an issue with the regular version also) Am going back to the ads. ✓ Connective issueIt’s not too bad. But at most you get 5 games. Then it can’t connect. So you can’t play. Very, very annoying that you can’t play when you want. You play when the game lets you. So 50% of the time you can’t play the game. The other issue is the computer playing against you when you think you are playing against a human. You know when this happens, the “player” lets the first two rounds go through without doing anything. Then they do one move. Then within one move after the computer (pretending to be human) finishes the game within seconds that a human couldn’t do. I’m sure they use these “computer: human” persons are there to fill a gap. When a player is actually AI, they need to not have them move tiles two or three times faster than a live person can. ✓ Good game, annoying design flaw.The tile stand in the game is placed at the bottom of the screen and requires you to move tiles from the bottom row of stand on to the board by swiping them up. This movement is also an iPhone system action and minimises the game… When you get back to the game it then requires you to reconnect losing a good 5-10 seconds overall. ✓ IMPOSSIBLE TO MOVE TILESIt is impossible to move tiles! Issues at the top and bottom and with playing board. The tiles are incredibly small and there is no easy way to move them so you are stuck trying to move tiny tiles one by one. If you slightly go to high the entire game pauses and you are stuck waiting for it to restart which takes several seconds and you are constantly being penalized on the clock. ✓ So disappointedI can’t understand why the old Rummikub app has been deleted. I used to play it constantly and it was my go to app when I was bored. This new app is terrible. You have to play online with other players, you can’t choose how many opponents, it’s lost the neatness and easy play of the blue screen, your tiles are all mixed up instead of sorted by color, there are in-app purchases instead of just letting you play the game. It is absolutely terrible. What’s the point of all the stupid new graphics? We just want to play the game, and even that doesn’t work properly. So so disappointed. ✓ You will end up playing against the computerI wanted to love this app but here are a list of issues: You should only be playing against people in the same level as you Playing with the computer on any level is beyond ridiculous. The computer hoards tiles then makes an abundance of moves no human could or would ever make. This makes playing frustrating. If using an iPhone you will unfortunate be pulling down on the tiles but also closing out the game causing there to be a delay which takes time of the clock count down. Constant connectivity issues The added chat comments are so not needed, like I need the computer or anyone else telling me to hurry up or play a tile. Very much takes the fun out of the game. ✓ Joker HoardingI love this game, but there needs to be an option to play without jokers. Opponents hold jokers till their very last move, which while being within the rules is so far against the spirit of the game. This is meant to be a game of skill and having a magic joker that you hoard guarantees a win by default, and this turns into a game of luck rather than skill. I recognize that there is no rule against this, but playing an opponent who hoards one or both jokers is so frustrating, as like I said it negates the spirit of the game. ✓ IPhone X problem is back!A few months ago, the app developers fixed the game for use on an iPhone X, but the problem is back!!! Every time it’s my turn, I accidentally swipe up on the iPhone X “home button” while trying to move my tiles because the tiles are right on top of the iPhone X “home button,”. ✓ The Algorithm StinksCan someone please explain to me why I wind up with double 13’s, or 4’s, or 9’s of the same color literally every game I play? I have played Rummikub my entire life, and while drawing doubles of the same color happens, it’s not nearly at the rate of this digital version. There’s also the matter of the ridiculous number of games where an opponent has over 25 tiles left, everyone else has 1-4, and the person with 25 magically comes back to win in two turns. Again, I have seen it happen in real life, but not at the rate it does here. ✓ DisappointingOpponents (which are obviously bots rather than human) throw down numerous tiles during their turn. BUT, the moves are canceled when the timer runs out. This happens over and over and over. This wastes time. Also, the moves seem to be based on the tiles on MY board—so it looks like I will be able to play several tiles on my turn. Then, when time runs out, the whole board reverts back to how it was. In real life, this would happen occasionally but it happens repeatedly, nearly every game in this app. Very frustrating. ✓ Use the free - PAID IS AWFULThe paid version pits you against AI too often. That could be fine, but the AI is either super good or very bad. When it’s super good, it will play a dozen tiles in a speed impossible for a human to match. When it’s bad, it will play tiles for 30 seconds only to have them pulled back so you waste your time. Either way, it’s not enjoyable. The free game ads get annoying - same candy crush nonsense over and over, and it has some AI, but you are more likely to play a human which is more enjoyable..Version: 4.2.74

✓ SLOW DOWN THE BOTS!!Rummikub is a great game, love playing with 4 other human players. But, when said players leave the game, which happens quite often, the bots take over and make far more moves than a human possibly could. The software needs to slow down the moves by the bots to a human level, due to players leaving the game to avoid losing points. It is very difficult to progress through levels. 1 out of 3 times I start out with 21-27 tiles. It’s hard to come back from that. ✓ Good game but algorithm needs updatingAs other reviews have mentioned, this game shuffles and repeats tiles way too often and it creates a very unfair playing field against robots, primarily considering you're playing against 3 robots and they can lay 10-15 tiles in 20 seconds, very unrealistic. When you play the boardgame version, you quickly realize how much tuning the algorithm needs here to replicate human-like gameplay. ✓ IPhone X UpdateThe new update makes the app look much better on iPhone X, but there are two major problems. First, the home bar gets in the way of your tiles and if you accidentally touch it you temporarily leave the game and have to reconnect. This can happen very easily while trying to access your tiles. Additionally, the notch gets in the way during the game which is quite annoying. I also liked that you could pick which game you wanted to join in the old update, rather than being assigned a game randomly. Though, I love that you can request people to play with..Version: 3.5.13
✓ Frustrated and DisappointedAfter the recent update on Nov. 21 I can no longer open the game on my IPad. It opens on my IPhone but that is too small a format for me to play on. I can't open the game at all on my IPad. It crashes immediately. I contacted support and have cleared my cache as instructed. I also tried opening through a new browser as instructed. I have rebooted my IPad as instructed and still can't open the game. So disappointed. It was my go to game for relaxation and fun. I noticed a number of people were having the same problem. ✓ Tiles are not RandomIt is clear that the algorithms in the app pick a level of difficulty, and whenever any game chooses a level of difficulty it means that tiles are not given out at random. In each game, playing against the computer, it is pretty clear by the 10th round which tiles are being “reserved“ by the algorithm until the end of the game. I find this very frustrating. Also, when playing against the app, near the end of the game sometimes the computer will make a superhuman sequence sequence of moves, sometimes putting down 15 tiles in a row, to win the game. This is not random either. I wish the app developers would just make a version where tiles are dispensed in truly random fashion, rather than manipulating the outcome of each game. Fix this and you get a 5 star rating!.Version: 4.4.6
✓ DisappointingA friend recommended this app and said to download the free non-ad version. After a few days I wanted to not see any advertisements so I downloaded the paid version. It cost me $10. Well, that was a mistake. After laying out the cords on the single player game, the computer generated layout would just disappear leaving me with its previous card layout. This occurs regularly and happens after many cards are shifted in a single move. Doesn’t get more annoying. I contacted the owners and they said it was a random thing and they gave me 10,000 points or whatever their system allows. Ive deleted the game and reinstalled it more than once. ✓ Argh!This game is a favorite and the app does the best job so far of recreating it. But this last update is your worst and yet and I’ll be deleting if it’s not put to right. The sounds are horrible, I turn the sound off now. That timer sounds like a freaking egg timer when it goes off, so annoying. The tile placement sounds gets under my skin.
