✓ DO NOT BUYI was recommended to use offtime by some dumb article about productivity apps. There are much superior apps that will “block” access, either through incentives such as Forest, or by blocking websites like Zero Willpower. Offtime is so minimalist it barely does anything. I just want to schedule a recurring offtime session that takes place at the same time every day (10 pm to 10 am, so I can’t use my phone at night). You can’t restrict access to apps, it’s just a glorified stopwatch with nagging messages when you pick up your phone ahead of time. Or if you get a work call it buzzes all the way through. Sometimes the nagging messages appear when you’re not touching the phone so it actually buzzes to attract your attention. I’ve wasted a lot of time trying to work out if the app can do what it promised, and I’ve written to the developers to complain and ask for a refund but they haven’t replied. Useless.
