Waay: Learn music theory for Positive User Reviews

Great addition to learning music theory!Music theory can be and is very complicated. Anything that adds fun while learning it is a plus. It’s all about the reinforcement of scales, intervals and notes. This app makes it fun, easy and my favorite go-to when I’m waiting in line. Perfect app for all music theory students! AAA+.Version: 2.4.1

Music theory - made simpleFor me, it is getting back to the basics that is important, as I find as I advance I keep asking simple questions like in a G major Scale why is the C chord called the 4th Chord. Then I know I got to go back to basics…...Version: 2.5.3

The memorization app I needed! As someone learning music theory on guitar, I was looking for a way to commit everything to memory: scales, accidentals, intervals, chords etc. This is the perfect way to work on those skills when not in front on your instrument. I almost went down the path of learning to make an app myself just to create an easy way to quiz myself. So glad I found Waay first..Version: 2.4.1

Very helpful…and fun!I went from knowing nothing about music theory to knowing lots in about a month I would highly recommend this app to anyone who is a beginner..Version: 2.5.3

So grateful I found this app! It’s been about 20 years since I last studied music theory, and recently found myself writing songs for the first time in about that long too. Really needed a refresher course and this app has been perfect! It breaks down everything really simply, which is not easy to do with something as complex as music theory, and the practice games are great for making sure you’re absorbing everything and improving your skills. If you need a music theory refresher I cannot recommend this app enough!.Version: 3.4.0

Simply fantasticAlthough I’ve never left an app review before, I feel compelled to voice my support for this program. This is by far the cleanest, simplest explanation of basic music theory that I’ve ever encountered. The tutorials, exercises, and overall course design are all excellent. After years of playing various instruments, I finally feel equipped with the fundamentals of theory—something I’d always avoided because it seemed too difficult to learn on my own. I’ve enjoyed this app so much that I could go on and on praising it, but in short: it’s certainly the most worthwhile app purchase I’ve ever made. Thank you!.Version: 2.5.0

The best way to learn reflex music theoryThis app creates a fun, easy, simple yet creative ways to engrave music theory in your memory, allowing you to think and work out the circle of fifths..Version: 2.2.1

Thank you so muchI want tell the creator of this app. Thank you so much. It’s been well worth the money and I use this app everyday.Version: 3.3.1

Best music theory learning app out there!I just want to say this app is completely amazing and incredible amount of work must have gone into this. I have been looking for an app just like this to complete my learning between music classes and this has everything I need and more. It’s easy to follow short lessons and exercises. I highly recommend! Mat.Version: 3.3.1

Engaging and informative!Excellent app to learn the basics and apply in songwriting straight away. Really short, sharp lessons with lots of little practise activities that keep you motivated, got a little bit addicted to it already!.Version: 3.2.1

What you are looking for!!!I’ve tried a few before- there is no other theory app out there like this. It’s terrific. Useful for mature kids and adults alike. Simple and well explained. Get it!!.Version: 2.3.1

Good intro to music theoryI’m quite new to music, I have downloaded this to help me with my flamenco guitar. It’s very useful for beginners, the pace is dynamic so it gets adapted to your time and skills Very recommend for those starting with music, music theory can be fun!.Version: 2.3.0

The bestOne of the best apps for Music Theory practice.Version: 2.4.1

Subtitles needed. Please add subtitles to videos. Added after Developer's response: to be more precise: I'm not referring to subtitles for hearing impaired or watching videos without sound, but for people who aren't proficient in spoken English. English subtitles would greatly assist all foreigners using this app..Version: 3.3.1

Clear, concise easy to understand basic theory lessonsVery well organized intro to basic music theory with guided skill building exercises. Very clearly presented with a logical flow that builds on what you’ve learned. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I was able to learn in just a few days. This app demystifies music basics for beginners and tracks your progress as your knowledge base increases. I highly recommend it..Version: 2.4.1

Best music theory app out there!I personally love the teaching method and how you start at one point which then develops into a progress journey instead of being shown 100’s of options and tasks Thanks for developing this app!.Version: 2.3.0

Very Helpful Tool, bought the $6 monthly membership, Love it!I always played percussion instruments… struggled with music theory and understanding it. This App was so in depth and the exercises really help your retain and understand the lessons. I had some confusion when it came to learning the fast scales and how to apply the “order of sharps/flats” but I am already a difficult learner so I may have just been confused. But use google to help get clarity in lessons if needed, and it’s definitely worth the $6 a month as it gets more advanced and detailed..Version: 3.3.1

Great way to explore 🎼theoryComprehensive instructions. Challenging questions. Changing and engaging lessons. Ways to keep track of your progress. What’s not to love???….Version: 2.5.4

Good AppBUT it is in desperate need of more “courses”. Right now it only covers chords and melodies. It would be great if we could also get practice in for inversions and modes. But with what was given I was able to memorize things like relative minors easily. My only other suggestion is to put an option for continuous practice on an area rather than stopping after 30 seconds intervals or whatever it is. Overall great app and it would be worth the money if it had more courses..Version: 2.4.1

Great learning toolI studied music theory in college and I’ve gained more from this app in a few days than a few semesters in class. There are just a few updates I would love to see to make the app more enjoyable to use. Examples are a erase button for the quizzes. It’s very frustrating attempting to correct mistakes. It would also be nice to have access to the segment rules once the timer runs out. When you need a refresher, you have to completely exit the quiz to review the short paragraph from the lesson. Other than that, I highly recommend this app to anyone wanting to learn music theory in an organized fashion..Version: 3.2.1

Best app for piano beginnersLoving it, this app has given me the most fun I've had while learning ever! Keep the courses coming..Version: 2.3.0

This old dog is learning some new tricksDespite playing guitars for many years I never did manage to grasp theory. Somehow though, this app, and the well thought way that it introduces and covers the subject matter, has changed that. The exercises are well designed and repeatable (not the same sequence of questions each time). Thoroughly recommended if you have found other sources too dry and boring..Version: 2.2.1

Wish i started this when i 1st bought itThis app is amazing, I bought it a year ago and forgot all about it, and found myself still struggling to actually make decent tracks, as i dint fully understand music theory! I decided to take a good look at Waay and i must say its a must for any newibe that wishes to learn beat making. This app has put me on the right track now to understand music theory, which has help me so much in my creation. A big thank you to the developers..Version: 2.4.1

Easy and funI’ve always felt like I had a mental block for learning theory. This app is just amazing. Feel like in a while this block will totally melt. Thanks for creating this.Version: 2.3.1

Very happyWhat a great purchase. In two days I feel I understand what a lot of the beginners music courses I am following have been dancing around for weeks. Such a great combination of theory, rules of thumb and application. Two things that might have helped me even further: an immediate pause when tapping (I’m never quick enough when the narrator suggests pausing the video) and full subtitles or transcripts for those moments when I was struggling to hear clearly. Overall though, extremely impressed..Version: 2.5.0

Great jobI really like the pacing and organization of this program. The scale information was very concise and exercises great for any level. I look forward to progressing!.Version: 2.3.0

Absolutely the best!I just finished the first lesson, and I’m SO happy. I’ve played (memorized) songs on the guitar for years, but never could understand guitar theory. I’ve had several people try to explain it, but it never made sense. It just seemed so overwhelming. It was a foreign language that I couldn’t seem to learn. But Alex explains everything so well, and in such a common sense way, that I finally get it! After YEARS of trying. Best app ever! Thanks Alex!.Version: 2.5.1

Great courseEasy to understand, easy to use..Version: 2.2.1

Immersive applicationAlthough I’ve taken voice lessons, violin, and guitar, Eventually taking music theory 1, theory 2, and harmony in college, I never knew how to apply those concepts and they eventually got lost. I kept playing guitar and singing in bands but was discouraged that I couldn’t get past my ceiling. This app is perfect because it does what it claims to. It doesn’t stop at just content but provides fun, fresh ways to apply that content, which is the path mastery. Understanding AND application. I’m actually excited to write songs again and this app is greatly simplifying and speeding that process along..Version: 2.5.4

Really friendly and easy to followSuper enjoying it so far.Version: 2.3.0

Really Useful and enjoyableI really like this app. The approach to learning is easy to understand and engaging. I wonder if you guys would make an ear training app that teaches melodic/harmonic minor and the like if you haven’t already..Version: 2.5.3

Great appI love well designed products so when a friend showed me this new music theory app I was caught by surprise. I never thought that i would get into music theory but i guess all it took was good design and just the right amount of gamification. well done !.Version: 2.5.0

Amazing appWorth every penny.Version: 2.3.1

Amazing app and worth every penny! It’s obvious a lot of time, love and energy has gone into this app. It’s very well thought out, easy to follow and keeps you coming back for more. The developer is super friendly and answers any questions you have. It’s clear he has a real passion for what he does and genuinely wants to help out. Awesome work all round 👍.Version: 2.3.1

Well designed little appExactly what I wanted - an easy to understand introduction to music theory that can make my guitar playing and specifically my understanding for songwriting better. Nice simple and clear visual interface. Be nice if app on iPad and iPhone synced..Version: 2.2.1

Clever way to understand base theoryThe developer - Alex - has obviously spent a lot of time thinking about how to present music theory. I have many books but never understood the circle of fifths like this. The instructional videos are friendly and encouraging. I can totally recommend this App. Well done!.Version: 2.3.0

What a find!I’m so glad I chose this app. I’ve tried so many times in the past to learn music theory and have never been successful UNTIL NOW. In just one week, I understand how to build major and minor scales quickly and identify their chords. I’m now working on chord progressions and can’t wait to start applying all of this knowledge to my guitar playing and maybe even my own songs (something I would never have dared to think about before!). The lessons are clear and concise and the exercises are very helpful. I highly recommend Waay for anyone who wants to finally understand music theory! Best money I’ve spent in a very long time..Version: 2.5.3

ExcellentEverything I needed as a mature student. All the foundation work that now makes sense. Being able to repeat any lesson which varies the questions each time ensures you are not just memorising the question base and forces you to apply the knowledge. This makes my real life lessons so much easier..Version: 2.3.1

Kinesthetic Learners this is for you! This app is very good at explaining things out. I recommend taking notes of your own. This app has been exponentially helpful..Version: 2.5.4

Well made app. Way too pricey. One of the best made apps I've ever used. Price is way too high for the basic information that's given. But I enjoyed checking out the free lesson..Version: 3.0.3

UsefulIt’s a well made beginner app to learn how to quickly recognize chords and keys. I paid for one month to check it out and I learned some useful tips and tricks. However, it is not worth the price or the monthly fee. $10 purchase is sufficient for this game and tutorial. There is a wealth of free information online so the app is really not necessary. You’d get more bang for the buck taking a music theory class at a community college..Version: 3.1.1

Makes so much sense! Finally! A practical approach to learning theory. Well done Waay!!.Version: 1.0.1

🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼This app is rad. I’ve been using it for about an hour and I’m trippin out at how fast I’m understanding theory. Way to break it down in an extremely easy to understand way. 👍🏼.Version: 2.3.0

I finally understand theoryThis App is an organized way to engage with theory instead of just trying to cram-style memorize things. The exercises helped me actually memorize instead of just staring at flash cards or trying to cram it all. Do yourself a favor and just try the month like me, at $7 it’s a steal to finally have the understanding I was always looking for..Version: 3.1.1

Exactly what I neededThis app is incredible. If you’re anything like me, you’ve been wanting to learn music theory for a while and have been putting it off. Recently, I’ve had the desire to dig deep and really learn music theory. I was searching for a course that was clear, concise, and guided. This app fits the bill 100%. The lessons are very well presented and the exercises are a fun way to test and hone your skills. The developer has done an amazing job by gamifying the process and making your progress feel tangible and substantial. Then there’s the cherry on top: this app is a one-time purchase and the developer doesn’t collect your data! Seriously, this kind of honest business practice is unheard of these days on the App Store. A big thank you to the developer, and his two beagles! SUPPORT THIS MAN!.Version: 2.5.3

Great app, could use iCloud sync for progressI use iPhone and an iPad so it’d be nice if my progress synced across all my devices. Otherwise I love the app..Version: 2.4.1

Good to learn theory but pricing should be clearerThis app does what it says on the tin: it’s a great waay to learn music theory, HOWEVER it was unclear that after the initial payment for the app I would have to pay more to continue. Although I do feel that for the price a bit more could have been added, I’m not complaining about the price. I was just a little annoyed to find out that there was a second payment to be made when I thought it would just be the first £5. It probably would have made more sense to charge it with the purchase of the app and allow access to everything.Version: 2.3.0

Amazing Learning ToolI’ve played guitar for many years and always struggled with music theory. Waay made it so I finally grasped the circle of fifths and was able to apply it, which has really vaulted my playing and understanding to another level..Version: 2.4.1

It helps! The app is very easy to use, the lessons flow well and are quite succinct. Definitely for beginners, or for musicians looking to brush up/refresh on their skills. The quizzes are fun, and actually do help. The only thing is there isn't a great deal of musical jargon used throughout and this might become tricky for beginners looking to learn some music theory to apply later. However it is all accurate. You may also need a pen and paper just to write out a few things like the circle of fifths or the order of flats/sharps. It takes a little while to memorize and writing it down at first may help. Perhaps a short test on the circle of fifths and the order might be worthwhile adding..Version: 2.2.1

Wow! Learning so MuchWaay has restored my faith in apps. It’s honestly so well put together and the content is top notch. One feature request I do have is the ability to sync across devices. I got quite far on my iPhone and wanted to carry on my iPad but I have to start again..Version: 2.5.0

Highly recommendThis app is fantastic. Clearly laid out and explained. Has the best explanation of the circle of fifths that I have come across. This app is a must for anyone; from beginners to advanced, that maybe need to brush up a bit. Thanks Waay.Version: 2.2.2

Great for beginnersAm a DJ and want to produce. This is a great tool to learn some basic theory. Brilliantly constructed, makes you want to learn and has taught me lots in very little time..Version: 2.3.1

The teacher that corrects you when you get it wrong...Waay is the reason interactive learning is so much more compelling and effective than old style books and even videos. It's like having a teacher there to check your progress. Although I had some knowledge of circle of fifths, I was failing most of the questions Waay was asking me for the first few days. I simply hadn't grasped concepts I thought I'd grasped from reading books over the years or from watching videos on YouTube. After a week using Waay I was consistently getting scale answers right and now finally begin to see how to construct scales in my mind using the methods Waay illustrates. Waay comprises voiced/text instruction and a progression learning system. Buy it!.Version: 1.0.0

Perfect for beginnersGreat app man, well done.Version: 2.4.1

Great app, expected more content for the price.Nice app, although I expected more for the price. I have to echo some of the other reviews: crashing into a second paywall so early was disappointing and unexpected... Personally I’d have preferred to pay a couple £’s more upfront..Version: 2.3.1

Its rlly good but its annoying how after we’ve paid we have to pay again for course 2Everything about the app is amazing: the video features, interactive features, development of stages but not everything is great. after paying for the app i was disappointed how i had to pay extra for course 2. If you were gonna make us pay again after paying for the app you might as well just add it to the overall price of the app so we dont have to worry about such things. i, as an aspiring songwriter, would like to start composing songs as soon as possible rather than wait for a paycheck so i can buy one course. Such business is inefficient..Version: 2.3.1

Great AppAs someone who has tried to learn music theory but gave up due to confusion this app really broke it down for me, especially with the scales. Really appreciate the care put into this. Already bought the chords lesson! Thanks!.Version: 2.3.0

Simple and FunMakes studying music theory way less of a chore. Breaks it down into simple steps that are easy to remember. I've actually studied theory before and knew most of the content from the early lessons but the presentation made it enjoyable to refresh these things..Version: 2.0.1

Seventh Chords Are NOT included in CHORDS In-App PurchaseIf you're an intermediate or advanced musician looking for an app to practice chords, scales, modes, etc. this app only covers the basics (CHORDS in-app purchase does not include Seventh Chords). Would be excellent if Seventh Chords and (practical) ascending melodic minor and harmonic minor scales were included. Hopefully, an additional course/update will be added in the near future. The app is a great start for beginners (covers basic intervals, triads, Major and natural minor scales.).Version: 2.3.0

It’s finally sinking inYour app has made it really sink in and the practice courses are a great memorization tool. The reminder to play our instrument and use what we’ve learned to write songs is extremely helpful as well. In school it felt very academic and you’ve brought the “play” back in playing and learning about music..Version: 3.2.1

Experienced musician, beginner theoristI’ve been piano for years. Picking up a bit of theory here as there as it was necessary but never really diving in. I recently decided I wanted to elevate my playing, and was recommended to check out Waay as a fun, easy way to learn theory. So far I’ve loved it. Simple, bite sized lessons I can do in my phone in my free time. Great app!!.Version: 3.0.3

Great for people new to music theory or those who just want to scratch up on basicsGreat app would really love to see this develop into more advanced music theory as there are no apps which cover this! But all round easy to use, interactive system. From all the apps I've tried so far this is the best out to date..Version: 2.2.1

Amazingly ClearHow does this app not have more attention?? This was the only app on the App Store I could find that was able to clearly go over understanding the basics of music theory (and not simply how to read sheet music). And especially handily, it has a nice focus on being able to put together your own music. Very intuitive to use and makes everything seem simple. Extra nice that it only asks for a smallish one time cost and doesn’t ask for ridiculous monthly sums. Always struggled to understand music theory, and now these concepts seem obvious. Can’t recommend enough..Version: 2.5.3

Awesome app. Definitely put some care and very thoughtfulStarted this app a couple weeks ago and I love it. Excellent exercises and they change every time you redo the exercise. I would highly recommend this app.Version: 2.5.1

ExcellentIf you want to learn theory the easy way then get this app. You will not be disappointed..Version: 2.0.1

Great app with excellent quiz’sNot only are the concepts explained clearly but they’re reinforced regularly with great quiz questions. Nice work..Version: 2.3.1

Incredible music learning toolI’ve been looking for something for so long to help me really get my head around music theory. This app/program is the best I’ve found yet. So thankful for this..Version: 3.3.1

Awesome For SongwritersWorth the 10 dollars all the way! This app is organized and designed for you to learn quickly. Perfect for my needs!.Version: 2.5.4

For me, this has been the one that stuck!I’ve been using the app consistently for two weeks, and my level of understanding for music theory is the highest it’s ever been by far. The lessons are great, but what’s especially good in my opinion is the practice feature. I’ve been spending just a bit of time each day to go back through exercises I’ve already done and try them again, and at this point certain aspects of music theory are starting to feel like second nature to me! I’d like to give a big thank you to the developer, and encourage anyone trying to learn music theory to try this app!.Version: 3.3.0

Wow!I don't usually write reviews, but this app blew me away. Well made, clear courses, and great exercises. I am hoping that Alex will add more courses in the future!.Version: 2.5.3

First time its clicked!I’ve tried to learn theory in the past and concepts do always stick but I’ve never had it come together really. So far, this is looking very promising!.Version: 2.4.1

Loving LearningIf you like to challenge yourself, you will find this kind of learning to be fun. Wish this could be applicable to more boring topics. Great app!.Version: 3.2.1

Amazing!I was a little tentative about spending £6 at first but trust me it’s worth it! Alex explains music theory from the ground up in a very clear and concise manner, assuming no prior knowledge from the user. If you’re an absolute beginner this app would be perfect to start getting into songwriting - I myself already had some prior knowledge but still found it super useful to tie everything together and consolidate my knowledge. Lessons are interspersed with exercises to make sure that the knowledge sticks. All in all, well worth the money!.Version: 2.5.0

Intuitive and straight to the pointI started music theory recently with a few beginner audio books. I also bought a hard copy to supplement my learning. While the one I am using is really good it is broad and intense. What I love about these app lessons is how much territory this covers in a clear and concise manner. Did I say how fast learning these lessons are? I was up to speed in a fraction of the time compared to the books I am studying. This teacher is very, very good and I hope the lessons are expanded. Well worth the $$$..Version: 2.4.1

Great for just beginnersI’m 20 years old I’ve never played an instrument or taken a music class I had no idea what anything meant when I started but this has made it really easy to start learning very happy (:.Version: 2.4.1

Follow this Waay to unlock music theoryUntil I found Waay I'd spent quite a bit of time trying fruitlessly trying to understand keys and chords in music theory. Waay is the first guide I've found that has allowed me to have that lightbulb moment where I finally start to get it. The courses are very well presented, and the exercises reenforce understanding. I highly recommend Waay to anyone wishing to understand music theory and how it enables creativity in songwriting..Version: 2.0.0

UnbelievableI’ve learned more in 3 days than in the last 20 years, no joke, in regards to music theory. It’s always seemed confusing and mysterious. But put it in a game with some thoughtful dialogue and - what do you know? Suddenly it makes sense since you are actually applying it to something. Now, I’m not saying I memorized everything - but with the formulas provided in understanding the circle of 5th’s (finally!) and 4th’s and the magic chord formulas…honestly it’s like the light was turned on in my brain..Version: 3.2.1

Great explanations..and excellent writing. Also, Alex has a really listenable and calming voice. Nice job!.Version: 2.3.1

Love this appThis app is engaging and really simplifies music theory without dumbing it down and still being approachable. I love how I can use it with any instrument, or without an instrument as well..Version: 3.3.1

The best way to learn theory if you’re a visual learnerI have tried many other ways to learn music theory on my own and have failed until now. The way this has been explained just clicks in my brain because I can actually see how music theory works with the animated videos. I’m excited to continue understanding my music with this app. Thank you for putting in a way that I can understand!.Version: 3.2.1

The key that finally opened the doorI struggled for YEARS with music theory, everyone kept raving about how simple it is, and I always felt confused and stubborn with anything regarding music theory. However I owe everything to this app for finally unlocking the door, it explained everything easily and effortlessly and now I’m able to learn even more theory after using this as my building block. If you still don’t understand or get frustrated do not give up! I even deleted this app from my phone for a year, came back and now I’m finally understanding of music theory. Thank you to the creators of this app!.Version: 2.3.1

The easiest music theory learning I’ve ever usedThis is fab. I am learning fast..Version: 3.4.0

Great App!This app is great for learning music theory in a fun way. It teaches you the theory in a a simple and easy to understand way too. This may not be fair but I want to give a four star to encourage the app developers to add a feature that I thing would complete the app; That is to have the notes on a virtual piano. Because why forgo the opportunity to both learn theory and solidify our knowledge of where all the notes lie on the piano? Great job developer guys and gals?.Version: 2.3.0

Amazing app by an amazing developer! While the pricing has gone up in the past few months for this app, I believe it is well worth it. Music theory for songwriting is simply not taught like this on any other app, making this invaluable. The creator of the app is just one guy, yet he considers ALL customer feedback. For those who can’t afford to purchase the full app, a subscription for a month or two should be enough to get you through all the lessons and get some practice in. If you’ve been wanting to write your own songs but didn’t have a strong music theory foundation before, this app makes everything simple and practical. I love it!.Version: 3.2.1

Sound basicsReally provides a solid basic grounding in music theory..Version: 2.0.1

ConsolidatesSo I’ve been playing for most my life but never really tackled theory and it’s held me back. This is helping me big time. It is also reinforcing and giving reasoning on the information I already knew. The tests really consolidating the lessons too. Very good.Version: 2.3.0

I never usually review apps……But this app singlehandedly reignited my love for making music. I can say that because of this app I can finally write a song in whatever key I want without hesitation..Version: 2.5.0

Gate Way To NotesIn 3 Days I learned about Notes and Scales. The quizzes drove me crazy like a relentless teacher that wanted to make sure I knew my notes and scales. I like the most how every quiz is different, even if you try to start the quiz over..Version: 2.3.1

Great but priceyTaught me very well great app but didn't realise had to purchase 2nd course separately, a bit pricey, should both come included..Version: 2.2.2

Musical Mastery Made Easy! Waay is the easiest, fastest possible way to learn music theoryDiscovering Waay has been an absolute game-changer in my musical journey! As someone who's sought to unravel the mysteries of music theory for years, I've finally found a home with this incredible app. The way it breaks down complex concepts into digestible, bite-sized pieces is revolutionary. Alex's crystal-clear videos coupled with practical application exercises have truly transformed my understanding. What sets Waay apart is its clever timer system, gently nudging when to revisit concepts for reinforced learning. For the first time, I feel grounded in music theory, and I can't recommend this app highly enough. It's a must-have for any songwriter or music enthusiast aiming to master the language of music..Version: 3.4.0

Superb app of a superb developerThe application’s content is great as the developer support is great, kind and outstanding. Thank you very much for the such a great resource to study music theory..Version: 3.0.0

AmazingI am a 25 year old Audio Production University Masters Student, and due to my dyslexia I never quite be able to fully understand music theory until now. The teacher method is impressive and all I us externally with this app is Flashcards to inprint the knowledge on my brand lol (maybe add as future update) and the learning curve shoots right up. I think you may want to expand your empire and branch off into other subjects too because if this app can each me something my university professors couldn't that's says a lot !!.Version: 2.0.1

Really effective, accessibleI’ve tried hundreds of times to learn this kind of thing from a book and it’s not stuck but I’ve been on Waay every day for about 2 months now, a little at a time, and made so much progress in things I’d never thought I’d grasp that it’s almost unbelievable. It’s translated directly into better playing and more fun on the instrument too. Great piece of work, opened doors for me!.Version: 2.4.1

Engaging and well thought out!I’ve Played various instruments over the years and have always struggled when trying to learn theory. This app has given me a way of taking in the theory I need but in a more engaging way that becomes a mini game instead of boring revision. Yesterday, sharps, flats and keys were something I could never quite get my head around. Now the mystery has been solved and I’m keen to see what is to come in the app and what doors this can open for me. The 5.99 for me was a better investment than countless books I have bought and relegated to the bookshelf. if you are like me and can play an instrument but have avoided music theory as it was boring or daunting, then I’d highly recommend you give this a go. I wish I had this App 10 years ago!.Version: 2.5.0

ClassSuper easy way to learn and the developer is very responsive to questions.Version: 2.5.4

Absolutely Essential for MusiciansI’ve been playing guitar and bass for years now, always just playing what sounded good. I knew music theory was the next step but it confused the heck out of me and I didn’t want to pay a bunch of money for a class. This app made learning theory so easy and simple, my playing has never been better and I feel so much more confident in my music-making ability. Totally worth the money and with what I know about the app now, I would be willing to pay even more for it..Version: 2.5.3
