✓ Note the SimilaritiesWhen all your five star reviews are because of negative experiences turned good, that’s a huge red flag. Spend the time and resources developing a user-centric experience. No ability to see or log of what’s been sent to other frames? Having to email to make account modifications? Yikes. This is only after six minutes in the app and our UX lead has been laughing non-stop for four of them. Come on, guys. You’re better than this. This a potential game changer for the elderly. ✓ Can’t upload photosEver since a few updates ago I cannot add any more photos to my album. I can select photos from my photo albums but then there is no option to add them to the album I have synced with two frames. Frames/app currently un-usable.Version: 3.37.0
✓ Can’t get passed selecting occasionA lot of my family have this frame and love it. I am giving it as a gift to my in-laws however when I try to set it up, I select the occasion and hit next but nothing happens…seems like something is broken with the iOS app.Version: 3.45.0
✓ App won’t even let me get past step 1 of registration!Just got this frame for my birthday. I was pretty excited to get started and show it off to my friends/family. However, the app won’t even let me register, create a userID/password. Deleted & redownloaded app several times but still can’t get past the initial step 1. I got pretty frustrated & will probably end up using the gift receipt to buy myself something else. For Nixplay to try and compete in the era of Alexa show, google home, etc, the company really needs to step it up. I mean, why would someone want to pay for just a digital photo frame when you can upload photos/videos and do so much more on Alexa show & others for the same price range if not just a little bit more. Yes, I was initially excited to receive a digital frame since I’ve never had one before. But that excitement has pretty much died down now. Ya’ll gotta fix your app!.Version: 3.20.0
✓ Still work to doI like the fact that the app allows integration with Prime Photos as well as iPhone camera roll. I’m not keen on the fact you can only upload 10 photos at a time. I found this out after spending half an hour selecting the photos I wanted just for the upload to fail. Also if the app finds a problem with 1 file it won’t upload anything. Some software to sort out duplicate pictures would be handy also software to pan and display the whole photo in the timeframe selected would be helpful rather than having to extend the time in app or in the frame. I’m sure this app will go from strength to strength..Version: 2.6.9
✓ Love the frame, app has problemsMy main issue is that when i set the sleep timer the setting for motion detection overrides it. which is a nightmare at night when the dog moves around on the bed and activates the motion detection and turns the frame on when it should be asleep. so i have to remember to power the frame off before bed using the remote or the dog will turn it on and wake me up with the light. the app also has some usability issues when it comes to adding photos from other sources (google photos), you’d expect it to be on the photo upload to frame screen. i had to do a google search to figure out that i had to go all the way back to the main screen and then to my photos. confusing loops in screens and what they can do. i’m also going to have to google how to add someone else to the frame for photo uploads because it’s not very easy to figure out in the app, and i only know it’s an option because my parents have one and both upload to it with two different accounts. “maybe you should read the help booklet in the box” yeah, maybe i should. but an app controlled device like this frame should have a more intuitive design that at least has an onboarding process that doesn’t require you to read a book..Version: 2.6.9

✓ Quality is poorThe frames are great and the idea of the app is good but the implementation of features is pretty haphazard (eg. You can put captions on photos, but then you can’t edit them again - better hope you never make mistakes!) and it’s full of the sort of bugs that suggest they just don’t test it properly. Eg. In the latest release when I write a caption the keyboard pops up over the top of the caption, so I can’t see what I’m writing. So frustrating!.Version: 3.7.0

✓ Really quite rubbishBuy frame and obliged to use the app. And the app is slow, cumbersome and ill thought through. Takes centuries to update photos and woe betide if you don’t use regularly as takes best part of an hour to update your current photos. Just a slightly shonky implementation and not much to recommend it. Frames are ok but the whole thing needs to be slicker and quicker..Version: 3.7.2
✓ Terrible Scrolling for AlbumsI got my parents this frame for Mother and Father’s Day this year. The set up was easy, but they will never put photos on the frame themselves, so I have been making albums and sending them. The functionality of being able to scroll through my photos to upload to albums is horrendous. The app freezes constantly or refuses to scroll. If I got back more than a few weeks of photos, it’s almost like the app is trying to download every single thumbnail version of the photo even before I click on it (which is terrifying). I have only had the patience to go back a few months (it took me about 8 minutes to scroll back about 300 photos), which is utterly frustrating. The horrible experience with the photo upload makes the app and the good parts of the frame feel not worth it..Version: 3.9.2
✓ Poor appI was most disappointed after purchasing this frame, to find that its use is limited to a few Apple devices. iPhone 6, an iPad mini, and that’s it. The company has no intention of upgrading their software to comply with later Apple software and thereby make the frame useable to millions of Apple users. ✓ App doesn’t workApp doesn’t work on my phone at all. Select a picture and the app closes. I have re-installed several times. Nothing works. ✓ App stalls out uploading photosEvery time I go to upload multiple photos to a friends picture frame the upload will work for 2 or so photos and the rest just stay in queued status. If you spend the time to select and caption 10+ photos and they never make it onto the frame due to a bug in the app it results in an extremely frustrating experience..Version: 3.47.0
✓ Not user friendly.First, I love this product, and so do my in-laws, and parents. The reason we purchased was to share pics of their grandchild. However, the app’s interface is overly complicated, it is not intuitive. Our first issue was that I wanted to control the photos being uploaded to the frame. However once we paired my mothers phone with the frame, she was then in control of what was uploaded. I was no longer in control of the frame. It would be nice if 2 (or more) phones could be paired to the same frame. My mom can’t figure it out, and she is a retired computer hardware engineer, and forget about my in-laws, they are lost. Once a phone is paired, it is not intuitive as to what an album vs a playlist is, and how you can have your frame play different albums. Creating albums is clunky. I would suggest the developers think of the types of end users and simplify, simplify, simplify..Version: 3.0.5

✓ Very glitchyIs a shame the frame was bought for us by our children because I'd have binned it by now. It should be an easy process uploading photos but it keeps on freezing and it’s very annoying. Developers say they are working on so hopefully they will solve. frame doesn’t handle face reconition to fit to frame very well so have to have it on full photo all of the time which is ok when photo matches orientation of frame, but not if it doesn’t. not sure if this in an app problems though..Version: 3.39.0
✓ Doesn’t work with latest version of iOSI’ve used this app for a few years with success. However, the latest version of iOS is not compatible. ✓ Nixplay forced me to upgrade……and now the app doesn’t work. Apple should outlaw developers who disable existing apps and force users to download an update. That’s what Nixplay has done, and now the new version won’t let me connect to frame. Unacceptable..Version: 3.53.4
