✓ Great game, very tough on battery lifeI love the original books in Sorcery series, but Inkle has done better and added terrific touches that bring the story to life! Great additions include: an addictive swindle stones game, and puzzle elements from the beacon towers. 3 star rating because of this bug! The game seriously kills my battery life. ✓ Love the game, but could be betterI have loved the sorcery games and it was so much fun to play a continuous story like this, but... Sorcery 3 is the worst out the the 4 games I don't feel it has much enforced plot I played through this whole map in about half an hour and then restarted it as I didn't understand why the serpents where important and there was no indication that I had to fight then it felt like they where trying to fill the gap between the sorcery 2 and 4 with something. ✓ NoIf you're looking for a game that is fun, engaging, interesting, compelling & endearing, you really need to look elsewhere. This lasted 5 minutes before being deleted. People say that App Store games are cheap but when you pay for something like this and it's so bad that you discard it within minutes, it's like paying £5000 for something like Minecraft..FghufddVersion: 1.0.2

✓ Ups the ante, but only justHaving played Sorcery 1 and 2, I had to get 3. However, two days later I am done with it and have no desire to play it again. While it was not as frustrating as Sorcery 2 with mandatory replays to finish, it has similar issues with some hard to find quest areas. Pros: -The changing environment with the beacons' light -Nice continuity with the first two -More interesting monsters to fight and a few new spells -Swindlestones is back! But another game or some variant rules or handicaps would have been nice. Cons: -Some non-choice decision trees -Too short (to be fair the main story is probably a little longer than Sorcery 2 without the backtracking) -Relatively empty landscape so a lot of your quest is spent traveling, eating and sleeping (and stupid mud trying to slurp up your boots). It's particularly evident when you're running around looking for the last serpent you missed somehow. - The ending is...less than epic. Sure it's not the final chapter, but there's no building to a climax here; just a to do list and a nebulous time limit. So in summary Sorcery 3 is a solid, albeit short, game book. It is a fitting continuation of the saga but if you had problems with previous installments this is more of the same..KaziamVersion: 1.0.2

✓ Empty & monotonousI'm baffled by all the praise this installment has received and have to conclude that it is out of loyalty to the franchise rather than a sincere assessment of the game itself. Sorcery 3 is definitely one of the more tedious and aggravating games on the App Store. Did the developers test their product by actually playing it through? There's no point to anything - no point to spending gold on food as it is lost one or two turns later; no point in obtaining helpful items as they are lost or stolen one to two turns later, no point in making choices as the game will steer you where it wants you regardless. There is very little action and interaction, and much of ones times is spent walking, walking, walking, swimming. I should reveal that I did not actually finish the game; I was wasn't able to. If you die at a place where the "rewind" feature is not an option, then you you have to start from the beginning. That means hours and days of progress utterly wasted. The story unfolds too slowly and the intermittent rewards are too underwhelming to make restarting worthwhile. If you are on there fence about whether or not to play this latest installment, save your money..LuftpuppenVersion: 1.0.3

✓ Severely Dropped the BallI loved Inkle's stuff, but this one crashes a lot when you make choices. Yet to fix most of the many big problems. I waited weeks for them to fix a glitch that stranded me without a boat to finish the game with, and when they did, I couldn't kill all the dragons without it vanishing and losing all my stuff. They screwed this game up and I've lost all interest in the brand if future installments are gonna get this treatment. ✓ CrashingThe game is amazing but the constant crashing and can suffer from many different problems from going into your inventory to just walking take away from it, and the animation of casting a spell shows the towers and their beams of light is a little odd and was not shown in the press demo. I started playing and imagine my frustration when the app booted me out as soon as I started fighting and enemy. Not once, but each time I went to make a move to fight. Sorcery! and Sorcery! 2 are phenomenal and I love the continuity between them. This game, however, is uninteresting, frustrating, and not at all compelling. Unlike the first two, this one features a lot of shoddy game design, such as secnarios where no matter what you choose the outcome is the same (and bad!) or the fact where you can only have one of two paths open, except one requires that the other is also open! The whole setting itself is also very lame, a near-barren wastleand for starts and several uneventful location points. ✓ Mixed feelingsTechnically this game is almost flawless, the implementation by Inkle is amazing, and it looks beautiful with solid sonics. However the game is very frustrating as you can suddenly die or lose important items for random reasons, meaning there’s no real skill in the gameplay.
