✓ Why me?All of my friends use Yubo. I really wanted to too so I downloaded it and immediately after I made an account it said I needed to download this app to even use yubo. I thought this app was just gonna make me press a button, but it makes me give waaaay to much information just to verify an account for another app. Another thing I don’t understand is that NONE of my friends had to go through this when they download Yubo. All they did was create an account and were able to use Yubo, they never had to download a different app that takes personal information just to verify an account for another app..Version: 3.20.1

✓ Card scanner is badThe situation you’ve got for scanning/taking a pic of a driver’s license is terrible. It always comes back as saying there was too much glare. Well no duh, you force the picture to be taken automatically and always with flash. Your scanner never picks up the back of my card, so I have to go through 4 steps every time to rescan. Let the user have the option of taking a manual picture from the start and it will save everyone some headache. The app is a waste of time with being able to verify an ID. ✓ Will not accept Post Office Pass CardsI downloaded the app to access my child trust fund as i needed it urgently and the only form of ID i have is the post office pass card but no matter what i do it will not accept it, it just shows a message saying they couldn't approve it When i emailed them for help they eventually got down to the problem and said the ID does not have a document number… the ID is fine there is no number missing, nothing faulty about it, applied for it through the ACTUAL post office website so it is authentic Now i dont know what to do.Version: 3.44.0

✓ Don’t get it.I’ve had this app for about a month. I’ve made friends through it which is good, but the amount of times It’s tried pressuring me into purchasing stupid power ups and stuff is disgraceful. before, i could swipe on an unlimited amount of people then suddenly it came up with a notice once i swiped on a certain amount of people saying how i had to wait for 15 minutes until i could swipe again. of course though, if i wanted to i could spend $8 or so on a thing that grants me unlimited swipes — or i could share the app on my snapchat and once 5 people open it, i’d be able to swipe again. simple marketing. i get it, but the reason for this bad review is because of what happened to me literally fifteen minutes ago. i got locked out of my account for “security reasons” even though all my profile showed was my face in numerous pictures - all in different settings mind you, plus my instagram was linked so It’s not like i was pretending to be someone else. it wanted me to download another app called yodi or something (basically an online ID app). i was cool with it until i noticed it wanted photo evidence of my ID. if i did something wrong I’d understand, but i literally didn’t do anything. I’m on the app for friendship and friendships only - nothing more. all my photos were PG and my bio was literally this: just want someone to vibe with 💥 friends only 💥 you tell me If that’s bad because I’ve seen far worse on this app. like many, I’m not comfortable with having my ID linked to an app where it can be stored and used universally. none of that sits right with me. i’ve known people who have had the app for years and never got the notification; who have done far worse things than I EVER did, but they’re still completely untouched. i genuinely liked this app. i was gonna write a good review on it tomorrow actually because it allowed me to meet so many people — but I’m utterly disappointed now. deactivated my account and deleted the app as soon as i saw that it was asking for my ID. so to reiterate: please don’t get this app. It’s a total waste of time, the people on there can be nice (but 99% of them aren’t and only want nudes) and nobody deserves to feel pressured into showing themselves just to keep an account..Version: 3.12.0

✓ Suspicious and dangerous app to downloadYubo wanted me to download a second app to confirm my identification. This seems very sketchy to me. Why don’t they include an identification system in their app? Tinder and bumble both have an identification system in them that doesn’t require you to download a second app the request all your personal information of you as well as your legal documentation. I understand that the developers are trying to make sure no one is lying about their age or whatever but it seems very suspicious when they want me to download a second app that request almost all of my personal information. I do not feel comfortable giving out all my information online as well as pictures just so you guys can get hacked and then all my information gets stolen. ✓ AwfulSo I’ve been trying to verify my identity for an online service. I’d never heard of YOTI so I tried the Post Office Easy ID app instead. That was awful. It just crashed out to a white screen every time I tried to share my details with the provider. So I deleted it and installed YOTI instead. IT IS THE SAME APPLICATION just with different branding. ✓ Seriously stupid and unnecessaryI just downloaded Yubo yesterday and I saw in my profile settings that you had to verify with this app to get the yellow check mark thingie. So I downloaded this app and got passed the 5-digit password no problem. But then when I tried to fill out my info, it said I needed a physical ID card. I only have a permit so I used that. Two problems: 1, my card is made vertically but the scanner is horizontal. 2, I tried two times to get my card reviewed and both times they said that it wasn’t approved. What the heck is up with that?? Both pictures came out perfectly! It could be because my card is printed vertically but you can still clearly see the text. Why can’t I just enter my stuff manually?!? Having to take a picture of my card is SERIOUSLY STUPID AND UNNECESSARY. And, having to be verified on Yubo is also SERIOUSLY STUPID AND UNNECESSARY. But I think if we were able to enter our info manually, all of us would have a much better time, and you would have much better ratings and reviews. Facts. ✓ Useless SupportI simply cannot give anything more than 0 because that is the level of support I have received, but apple won’t accept less than 1. I am locked out of my account because the recovery file is not working and i cannot create an account as my emails are all already in use (they were attached to a single account). I emailed support who, after numerous back and forth emails, said they had a “video call” slot at 12:45 which I accepted. All I got back at 12:47, was an email asking for a screenshot of the “already in use error. The screenshot will provide no additional information to what I have already provided. While they faff deciding whether to actually help, I am stuck locked out of the HUB and unable to do my job because their off-shore support team is nothing but useless. ✓ Terrible AppI wish I could give a lower rating this app was terrible for the following reasons. While the first few steps were simple enough what with my birthday and picture I was not at all pleased when I was asked to show my identification to an app. Another reason I was highly displeased with this app is because the only reason I downloaded it in the first place was because I had to further prove I wasn’t a bot even more which to me makes absolutely no sense because I hand already had multiple conversations via phone or video chat plus the only reason I had to do this was because I said the same thing multiple times even though I was far from the only one doing it. ✓ App Crashes on LaunchApp crashes on launch - can’t open app. Concerned that if I delete app will need to reverify all my documents as iCloud backup won’t work, as I have had this problem in the past. Update: Developer suggests that I create a new account if I can’t find my recovery key. But I do have my recovery key - the problem is that the recovery key won’t work with the app which has been updated and no longer recognises the recovery key. I shouldn’t have to create a new account from scratch, which is time consuming as I have had to do this once already when the app wouldn’t work. ✓ Quite simply unusableThe app quite literally does not open when attempting to register for an account no matter what you do. And then once you delete the app before properly creating an account (and before saving to the cloud) it saves your mobile number anyways therefore preventing you from being to create a new account (as you can’t recover the previously started one) so you’re essentially screwed. ✓ Hilariously Bad AppThought I’d download this having seen an advert for it on my local cinema. Figured it would be a quick and easy job just to make my life easier at Tesco if I pick up a bottle on the fly and didn’t think to bring my drivers license (being 26 it’s easy to forget and every few months you’re caught out by think 25). Deleted the app and restarted my phone, re-downloaded the app and tried to recover my account. I get to the mobile verification and it says account in use and I chose ‘recover account’ then it asks me to use my recovery file that I never got notified to upload to iCloud so it’s simply non-existent. Now I have to email for support but I never provided my email and the only thing that connects me to my account is my number so I can just see this process that is claimed to be a ‘five minute process’ taking a very long time and I almost don’t want to recover my account as I didn’t even get to finish creating an account before I encountered this ‘app breaking bug’. ✓ Yoti Verification!!!I’ve been using yubo for the last 2 years and have no problems with my account. It recently told me that I needed to verify my account. At the time I had no idea what to do, so I wasn’t active on the app for a good month or two. I recently decided to give the verification a try and it worked after a few days..Used the app for a good few weeks. My phone broke, when I got my new one and downloaded yubo again, it told me I had to do the whole verification process again. This is very frustrating and needs to be fixed.
