Make it cheaper!Iv been learning a language for a few years and this would be one of the best but this app only lets you complete the first lesson and daily challenges before asking to pay I won’t be paying $50 for an app, please make it so if you don’t want to buy the full game make it so we can buy the next lot of lessons with our points we earn so then we actually get to play the app and don’t delete it and look for a new one that is free coz there are a few. Besides that it’s a great way to learn and is easy app.Version: 7.1.16

Creative and funGood colours, activities and levels to learn the basics. The voice over is easy to understand and microphone allows you to know Not sure if I want to buy more levels but may do so I can have a few more phrases other than the basics. You are pronouncing correctly..Version: 7.1.13

Smart and easy to navigateUser interface design Very functional Perfect use of AI Smart way of choosing content It is just theimproved version you wished Doulingo developed.Version: 10.17.0

ImprovedAs a longtime language enthusiast and tester for language learning apps and resources I can say this app keep improving so I am giving credit where it is due. If a developer maintains and improves then their customers/users will notice. I am really enjoying the handfree mode. The repetition really helps and the fact they’re actually useful sentences does too..Version: 9.38.0

Amazing Customer Support!I’ve been using Mondly to dust off my rusty Finnish, using a premium subscription. After several months, I was locked out of all premium features, so I contacted support. They worked with me for eight days, trying one thing after another. They finally had developers manually sync my account, and they renewed my subscription for another year on top of that. They didn’t give up until the problem was fixed and encouraged me to keep them updated each step of the way. I was blown away! What I like about the app itself: The variety of ways used to teach and reinforce new vocabulary & skills, like grammar, is very effective. The simple point system and stars are just enough of gamification to keep me going; I've found myself using the app for an hour or more. (It’s so easy to just one more lesson because they’re so short!) And it’s awesome to find an app with Finnish, a rarity. There are a few vocabulary quibbles and such that I’d change (usually due to translation/meanings not quite but lining up with English), but they’re minor. At each step in every lesson, you can send a report, and I’ve seen some issues totally resolved after reporting a language issue. I definitely recommend it!.Version: 6.4.1

Quite happy so far but lacking grammar supportIt’s early but I’m making progress with Afrikaans. Its best feature in my view is the use of recordings of native speakers rather than computerized voice synthesis (compare Duolingo, which by the way does not include Afrikaans) — or maybe it just has really good computers. I like the fact that much of the syntax and even vocabulary is taught implicitly rather than explicitly, but I am fortunate to have had high school German to guide me. Some ability to reference a formal description of the grammar would be extremely useful I think - some kind of context-sensitive link (a huge task for the developers I acknowledge). A second choice would be to enable attached comments from other learners/speakers, as does Duolingo. Those are sometimes inaccurate but usually self-corrected by the community and the discussion is useful. Still, on balance, I believe I will be a better speaker using Mondly than Duolingo — I can look up the grammar but Duolingo will never make me a natural sounding speaker..Version: 8.0.1

This is an addictive way to learnI am only a beginner at Japanese but this has proven to be so easy it is addictive. You need a good dictionary as well but this introduces new words along with repetition of learned material. I would like to have the same dictionary that Mondly use as some of the translations are difficult to comprehend but if all you want is a good basis fir understanding spoken Japanese , this is a great tool..Version: 7.1.3

Easy to followHaving used other programs I find this one easy to use and quick to progress. I had a hiccup with my screen freezing and not allowing me to swipe up for an answer but after reporting within a minute it was ok. My only problem is I forget to go in every day but that’s not the apps fault! It may not suit everyone but being more than a beginner the speed of it is a confidence booster and I hope by the time I reach the things I’m not yet aware of I will be able to enjoy it as much..Version: 9.2.1

Such an amazing app, definitely recommend! This app is so easy to use. It uses repetition through the lessons and activities where you repeat the audio that the bot says, so you can really understand the content easily. Forget Duolingo, Duolingo is hard to use and unmotivating. Definitely recommend Mondly to the people out there who want to learn a new language..Version: 9.6.2

Conversational and HelpfulI have been using Mondly for just a little bit of time but it seems to be helpful in that it teaches phrases and real conversation, not just vocabulary. Great app..Version: 10.8.0

Très bienLudique.Version: 10.11.0

Awesome appThe only thing I want is for the developers to add the option to choose if you are a man or woman and then have the app teach you to say Pohm (for men or chan (for women) it teaches everyone to say chan which is not correct for men. Other then that it is an incredible app..Version: 9.29.0

Great except for the small lettersIt’s a great app, the only downside is when you are required to spell a word, and the word is long, the letters get unbearably small that they’re not even readable. Hence the four stars..Version: 10.6.0

Revised opinionWell I paid for the premium app, but had real issues when it didn't work. It took a while for their support team to get back to me. However, when they finally did, the outcome was brilliant! Everything works as it should! I am learning Chinese. The app goes rather quickly but it is brilliant as a way of consolidating what I've learnt. So many topics to choose from! You get characters as well! Listening practice, speed gradually increases, as well as speaking practice. Awesome. Jeanie.Version: 7.2

Tôi thích MondlyMondly is a great way to start learning a new language. It’s reasonably priced and the app is glitch free, interesting and keeps you motivated through some clever gamification. As far as language apps go, it’s hard to imagine anything better. Nothing beats one-on-one sessions with a tutor. I’ve started learning Vietnamese, and whilst the app got me interested and taught me some basics, I didn’t really start to progress until I started with a tutor. Firstly, you get immediate feedback and support and details about the nuances of the language. Secondly, I find intensives with a tutor help me remember much better. No matter how much I studied with Mondly, much of what I learnt didn’t really stick. Of course the cost difference is huge, so investing in Mondly is a great and cost effective way to get started with your language journey..Version: 7.3.14

Helped so much! But one thing...Before I downloaded Mondly I thought it would be I’m possible to learn German but when I downloaded Mondly (which has over 33 languages you can learn) I was a pro! I really recommend it! But there is one slight problem, there’s premium and it has such a limit of what you can do. When you don’t have premium you can do daily lessons, weekly quiz, monthly challenge, Hello and chat bot. Apart from that it is great, I love and you will too!🤩🥳🤓🙂🇩🇪.Version: 9.0.1

Très bonneTrès bonne application j’ai apprit très vite et simplement.Version: 10.8.0

Been waiting for this.Been waiting for duolingo to put Croatian in the app for years to no avail. Stumbled across this app and it’s just as good just not as pretty but uses the same techniques for teaching. Finding it really useful and excited to finally learn my language..Version: 9.29.0

ExcellentI find this to be an excellent app. I love the ability to have conversation thread, record your replies and listen back to the whole conversation. It’s good to hear your pronunciation. Lots of different topic areas, ability to spell, speak, listen. Worth the money. The addition of a grammar section is excellent. Update: Just got to the vocabulary for Ugly (laid), quite disgusted that you use a picture of a woman who you consider to be ‘ugly’ as the image associated with this adjective. The image depicts a woman who could be sight impaired (you know, a disability!) Quite alarming in 21st C you think this acceptable? If you bother to read any of your feedback, please consider changing this image. As a parent with a child with a facial difference, I find this repugnant..Version: 9.0.2

C’est muy bièn.Appli intêressante permettant l'apprentissage de l’español..Version: 10.12.1

Awesome app.I only know very very little Croatian but this is helping immensely. I think the repetition is great to get in in your head. Grammar and endings are still a struggle but I am not really concentrating on that at the moment…just trying to get the feel for words. I think that I can understand conversationsa little better already and new phrases and words are starting to stick. Very happy and easy to follow..Version: 10.13.0

Great Learning App for Many LanguagesI decided to learn Bulgarian in order to speak to my partners family. I didn’t know any Bulgarian and they didn’t speak any English, so I wanted to learn Bulgarian to make it easier when I visit them for the first time later this year. It’s a great heart and I can also learn French, as I will also be meeting my friends Canadian friends parents this year too. It has been quite difficult to learn both languages simultaneously, but it gets easier to retain what you have learnt if you put in time every day to learn the languages. I have had some problems with my health and it has affected me, neurologically, especially in terms of memory and concentration. So, I need to spend at least an hour per day for each language. I started last year and stopped for a while due to health problems, but I am determined to take time each day to study. I don’t think I’ll ever be fluent, but I will be happy just being able to have conversations with my boyfriends family and my friends parents. I actually first went to Rosetta Stone to learn Bulgarian, but they don’t offer that language, unbelievably. So, I found this app and it is even better AND less expensive. Win-win. Thanks Mondly!.Version: 7.1.16

Absolutely brilliant! This app is amazing. I have been looking for Lithuanian language lessons online for a while. Mondly is fun, very easy to use and interactive with so many lessons and real life examples. Plenty of opportunity to practice and repeat the lessons. I am loving this app and highly recommend it..Version: 8.0.6

MondlyLearning a new language, you think it's hard. I have great news for you. Mondly makes it so easy, you have probably been putting off learning a new language because of this. Mondly allows you to learn at your own pace, when you want, anywhere and anytime plus it's fun on your smartphone, tablet and computer. Let's face it learning about a new language of your choice, broadens your outlook and all at a reasonable price per month. So what are you waiting for, download the app and get started?. John Kennedy..Version: 8.0.3

Issues resolved after reinstalling appEdit: Updated to 5 stars. Uninstalled and reinstalled app after major update and it is now working again. Thanks to the developer for responding. Easy to use and intuitive. Occasionally some minor inconsistencies within lessons..Version: 10.7.0

Great!I am a high school student, as well as the language ambassador for my school, and with that role I try to learn lots of languages. I tried soo many different apps to learn Finnish as I have a lot of Finnish family but none of them taught that language. Mondly was the first I found who taught it and they did it in a very fun and interesting way. I really like the AR feature adit allowed to to physically visualise words to help remember. Overall this app is doing better for me than any others and I would defiantly recommend for anyone who is really interested in languages..Version: 7.3.1

This could be the perfect learning, but...This would be perfect, except there are quite a few translational errors. Some are just silly oversights on Mondly’s part. Unlike Duolingo you can easily provide feedback if something’s wrong (which is great), but there’s no follow up about what you’ve submitted. Will things ever get fixed? Who knows. You just get left with a less than perfect score. Still, there’s lots to learn and it’s quite relaxing working through things..Version: 7.1.16

Love love loveI have been searching for an arabic app for years and finally I’ve found one that costs $14 and actually challenges me. I am an intermediate arabic student and being able to select the level before starting was very useful to me. It has all the elements you’d want from a teaching app; listening, speaking, matching, quizzes, daily lessons, spelling, plus a conversation bot that you can talk to. This app is the best one I’ve tried and I’ll be learning some other languages on it too soon enough. Thank you so much!.Version: 7.3.14

Brilliant App 👍I’ve been using this app on subscription for about a month now, I’m learning Greek and have found the daily lessons a really good incentive to study every day so you can test your knowledge at the end of the week, (You can’t take the test if you miss a day) Good strategy and I like it! I also like how with each phrase when you click on it, it gives you different ways to say it in different situations, Like ‘I go, I went, I will go’, this helps you spend more time on a particular phrase and it sticks in your memory a little better even if you don’t remember them all some will go it ;) All in all it’s a brilliantly thought out app and I will be continuing to use it! 10/10 from me 💪 😊.Version: 9.0.3

Excellent App!This is a great app. It has plenty of useful phrases and vocabulary. It is also very challenging to make perfect scores which I enjoy. The only disappointment is the nouns are not taught with the definite article, Die, Der, Das. Whoever believed that the definite article was not essential in this App did you and your users a disservice. In German, learning the definite article with each noun is critical to being able to write and speak correctly. I am an intermediate learner, fortunately I know what indefinite article corresponds to the definite article. However, repetition of seeing the correct definite article with its noun cannot be overstated! I can name a number of apps and programs that also did not have the definite article with the noun and I deleted them or did not use them for that reason. The best thing about the app is the ability to create conversations for speaking practice. That is the most useful. Needless to say, adding the definite article would make this the most comprehensive language app on the market. Btw, the AR app is superb. It is just too easy and without the definite article. Can a user change the level from Beginner to Intermediate or intermediate to advanced after the initial setup has been done? Thank you and look forward to your updates since I did purchase a one year premium!.Version: 9.0.1

Learning UkrainianSo I’m am visiting my dad’s girlfriend and her daughter in Ukraine -we hope to start a family!😁 We come to here during holidays and the catch is my entire family except me was born in Ukraine including my dad - I was born in England - so I wanted to catch up and now I am with this app! My батько/тато (father/dad)bought me recently the premium - if you are struggling to get the premium on the app, after the payment goes through and I guess a little bit of mail then go onto the icon with you on the home page and tap restore! Love this app, should definitely get it if your determined to learn a language! 👌.Version: 7.3.1

Japanese is making senseI’m actually considering buying the full version of this - the free lessons are great, with audio available for every word. You can choose whether you see the words in Japanese or the English version of the pronunciation (although it would be better if the Japanese words were spelt fully in Hiragana, especially for beginners). At the end of every lesson, you’re given a summary of what you’ve learned, including little tips for using Japanese words, which has been so helpful. I always refer back to these when writing notes. Overall great app, would highly recommend for beginners 😊.Version: 7.1.3

Overall really goodReally good wish it had more stuff to do without paying but overall really great.Version: 9.32.0

Elegant and simple, but lacks configuration optionsI like this app a lot. Clean and simple. But it would be nice to be able to: 1. Use in landscape on iPad. It forces portrait mode. 2. Disable leader boards. I’ve no interest in where I am relative to anyone else, and would prefer not to appear myself. (Duolingo allows you to do this). 3. Permantly disable microphone input. It pops up occasionally, often in the same session, and it’s necessary to tap ‘skip for now’. Not a big deal but a distraction all the same. (DL has this option)..Version: 10.0.2

Nice! XDThis is a neat app. After doing the free trial, I decided it was worth the investment to subscribe. There’s tones of lessons so I appreciate that. What I wish was included was lessons for learning non-Roman alphabet script/characters. It’s not a huge learning block for me personally because I can either figure it out by switching the script at the top right hand corner where the flags are, or just look up the alphabet online, but I think it would be a very helpful lesson to add. I also wish that there was some kind of discernment for what’s formal language and what’s casual for those languages that are applicable. I think that would also be helpful for beginner learners. What I do love most about it is that it offers a decent selection of languages, you can choose your level of proficiency (between beginner, intermediate, and advanced), and it offers speech practice. That’s always a great feature to have. Overall, it’s a good language learning app. 👍.Version: 7.4.9

Update!Took a while and a few Mails but now the App seems to work again. Hope it will continue to do so! Thank you Mondly- Team for solving the issue!.Version: 9.4.2

Great choice of subjectsI’ve tried a few free language apps to try and learn Italian but this one is the best so far. I did pay for a years membership after having a week free trial to see if I liked it. Good combination of answering questions by typing and then going into the next part of the lesson to speak and test your pronunciation..Version: 10.14.0

5 Stars5 Star.Version: 10.16.2

Good range but room for improvementI’ve been using this app for a few months. I think the subscription price is fair, there’s a wide range of content covering many topics and you learn to read, write and speak (to an extent). My main suggestion for improvement would be in the way it presents the multiple choice options. At present it is too easy to guess the answer without understanding or learning. For example, to translate a question you will be presented with four possible solutions, but only one ends in a “?”. Or you’re given a random word you haven’t learnt yet as one option that can be immediately discounted. My other observation is that the difficulty gradient is inconsistent. For example, multiple choice with pictures to translate a single word followed by having to write a full sentence in your main native language with no help. It can be frustrating when the difficulty jumps. Overall, it’s a good app that I’ve been using consistently and had some (slow) improvement, but could be better in the way content is presented..Version: 9.29.0

Absolutely worth the moneyI studied languages and speak a few, and this app is my favorite tool for learning Croatian. You can do small bite-sized lessons or more, and it gets you WAY more practice and vocabulary than other programs/apps (and I’ve bought a lot of them). You can slow speaker speed, and have a list to easily review vocab without re-doing the lessons. While I’m not far enough along to speak to how grammar is explained I REALLY like how you can highlight new words, and instantly see the infinitive and present conjugations, plus past and future. I take notes of these to review as I learn. If ONLY I had this app when I was stuck learning French in school! Also I had an issue with the app when I got a new phone. I reported this error from the app and got an email the NEXT DAY with a solution from a friendly and helpful person. Totally fixed!.Version: 9.0.2

Love this app!...except for the chatbot sectionsI love this app when it comes to learning. The hands free style where I can practice speaking is amazing and I’ve been able to put into practice the kanji, katakana and hiragana I’ve been learning on my own (I recommend this program in addition to a book or another program to practice sentence structure). I love everything about it...except the chat bot sections. The responses I give don’t work with the bot (despite them offering me the sentence) and if I try to do another sentence (which sometimes is an option) it’ll count it all as one sentence. I don’t know how to “speak” a period into a sentence. It’s frustrating. Even more frustrating however are the repetition sections. I repeat the dialogue exactly as they ask me (it even is recorded the same) but they mark me as wrong for using hiragana instead of kanji for some words. How do you “speak” in hiragana vs kanji? The program never says it. They just repeat the same section over and over again and drive me insane. I love this app...except that part. Please adjust the chat bot sections to either teach how to use the dialect they’re asking you to use (slowing down doesn’t help when it’s the same sounds you’re using and you’re still getting it wrong), or make it a bit more lenient with foreign speakers trying to speak a language they are unfamiliar with. Beyond that I love the program and recommend it to everyone...except the chat bot sections..Version: 9.0.6

Very good appEvery word is spoken, even for a lesser-known language like Latvian. There are pictures for each word, which helps with visual learners. A daily lesson is available each day, however that’s about all you can do with the free version. The paid version is a bit more expensive than other apps like Memrise and Ling, but it does provide A LOT. The pronunciation on each word is really beneficial to learning the language. With premium, there is a lot of content and you can do ALL previous daily lessons, even from years ago or simply if you miss a day. The website and app are glitch-free and clean, they are synced well (unlike Ling which doesn’t recognize if you did a lesson on the other platform and vice versa). Overall, Mondly is a good choice at least for lesser-known languages..Version: 10.0.0

Mondly is the bestIt is a great learning app, especially if you have premium. Then, you can learn much more. If you don’t have premium the app is kinda pointless. Then you can only learn certain things. Other than than, DOWNLOAD NOW!!! 😎😎😎.Version: 9.2.1

A lot of languagesFinally an app that has Afrikaans!!.Version: 10.15.0

Has the language I need, but could be improvedI’m learning Urdu so I can follow conversations happening at my in-laws. Overall the app is good for this purpose and I am definitely starting to piece things together. I like how you can switch between scripts. However, the lack of explanations around the phrases being presented would definitely cause confusion to someone completely unfamiliar. For example, for family members, Urdu has a dependency for mum’s and dad’s side of the family, marriage, and sibling order. Eg the word for uncle could be Tia Abu, Chacha, Phuppa, Mamu, or Khalu depending on the exact relation, but only Chacha is given as an explanation. TL;DR good practice for someone already familiar with the language, but I would imagine it would be hard for a complete beginner..Version: 9.0.0

Great language appEnjoy using this app to learn languages.Version: 10.8.0

Paid version is goodFree version still gives you good daily stuff though.Version: 10.15.0

I’m so pleased!I started with the limited (free) Persian app just to see the method, and see if I could learn this way (I’m rather dense when it comes to remembering phrases). I was enjoying it but there was no sound for part of the lessons. I wrote to Mondly and Georgiana explained exactly what was going on and how the full Mondly app was working correctly but the single language app hadn’t caught up, and that I could try the free Persian lessons in the main Mondly. Which I did and everything worked perfectly. I have now signed up for the full year, based partly on the excellent customer service— I know if I have any more problems I will get an immediate response. My only difficulty is that I don’t understand how some nouns can be a completely different word when used in a sentence and an explanation would be nice but it wouldn’t help me speak Persian any better..Version: 7.5.2

Awesome AppMy son Ari has Autism so I will write on his behalf. He loves learning languages and wants to learn all 33 included in the app. The application makes learning languages look so easy. So I would recommended it everyone.Version: 8.0.1

Awesome appMondly is really easy to use and has short lessons which is great..Version: 9.6.2

Great app but…I got a great deal on the “unlimited access.” I can now learn any of the languages I want at the same time and switch back and forth…but then you have to buy a “premium account” to get to do more than 2 lessons. That requires a yearly subscription, which I was trying to avoid in the first place. After getting the Premium access, it says that Mondly Kids is free INSTEAD of $9.99/mo. When it takes you to download the app, you get 7 days for free AND THEN IT CHARGES YOU $9.99/mo. I like that you can access all of the daily, weekly and monthly quizzes but I wish you could look at and review old ones that you might not have gotten 3 stars on. I would like to look at my totals of previous weeks and not just the current weeks stats. I would like to be able to message other users. Could the normal lessons be worth more than 13 pts as they take twice as long as the daily lessons? I wish the points mattered more. I also don’t understand the graphics with the brain and the different color dots that light up..Version: 9.36.0

Trop d'importance à des mots presque inutiles. Timbre, lettre…Il manque des mots comme chargeur. Le mot taxi revient trop souvent. C’est presque universel et facilement compréhensible partout. Il faudrait avoir la possibilité de raccourcir encore plus les commentaires du système..Version: 10.12.1

It does workIt’s a very well put together app and is currently a core part of my daily study routine. It’s been a very long time since I’ve used Rosetta Stone, but if asked to compare, I’d say Mondly is better. There are really no cons or problems to the app itself that I’ve come across. The only major issue I’m having is that voice recognition sometimes has some serious trouble, but I very much suspect that has to do with the phone’s voice recognition software and not Mondly. One thing will praise them for is having Latin. Most language learning software companies ignore the language and I’ve come across several people looking to learn Latin in the past few weeks. I’ve been able recommend Mondly for that. Had this been a thing when I was in high school, I absolutely would have used it for my Latin class..Version: 7.5.4

Best i’ve tried so farHave tried a couple of language learning apps for a long stint in germany for work, this app has particularly helped with conversation skills from the start (others seem to teach irrelevant basics to begin with) plus the conversation feature really helps, only thing that i might suggest is having a feature that helps you differentiate when to use certain pronunciations where one word may have 2 different ways of saying it (this feature may be on it but im yet to find it) however i will be sticking with this app and may take my learning more seriously this time around.Version: 7.5.13

Amazing and free for 9 lessons 🤯If you are looking for a app to learn a new language that is free for a hike longer than others and amazing than Mondly is here. I tried learning French and I have only been learning 3 days and I know so much already🙂 I defiantly recommend this to everyone beginner or advanced ☺️.Version: 9.15.1

MerciTu commences à maîtriser l’anglaisThank you.Version: 10.8.0

So goodI have been using duolingo for years and i havent really learnt much, and ive always struggled with my pronunciation. Within a week my pronunciation of my Polish is so good, and i feel so much more confident speaking Polish to others!! 100% recommend.Version: 9.40.0

Just what I needed!Currently I have just began the French and Greek courses - Mondly has already taught me new vocab, using repetition to get the new words stuck in my head! I love that I’m free to do as many lessons as I want and there haven’t been any interruptive advertisements. I’m hoping that I will be able to get far without having to be stopped by silly premium only options..Version: 9.0.5

Great app! This app is very user friendly and extremely easy to use. It’s definitely my favourite language learning app as it covers a broad range of topics, there’s no limit as to how many times it lets you practice different stages, you can move along as you please (e.g I would rather learn about talking about films than business, so I can skip the business part and go straight to entertainment). It’s definitely the most accurate app in terms of the language itself and also gives you the options to look at the past, present and future tense of a word, which I haven’t seen on any other app. I would strongly recommend this app above all overs, and I’ve downloaded a lot of language apps. If you want to learn the language and cover a broad range of topics this is the app for you. Hopefully they keep adding more content, 5/5..Version: 8.0.1

Very easy to useFaster way to learn because I can retake lessons and I am memorizing the words so quickly as well.Version: 7.3.14

Greek connectedI was at first sceptical about learning through an App simply because I personally prefer a human presence type of learning. With the confinement of the coronavirus, I searched for articles about learning through an App and recommendation: Mondly was ranked 3 rd on that article, because the 1st app was free, the 2nd was $2 cheaper however I chose Mondly because the summary of the structure and lesson planning was exactly what I was looking for. Mondly is suitable for me, in my journey of improving my Greek I am much more confident, relaxed and I enjoy it more. And with the help of my husband and our 6 years old daughter, we are having spontaneous daily Greek conversations to help me practice. We are a trilingual household ( French, English, Greek) I am married to a Greek and we just moved from London to Athens. I am hoping to surprise all my Greek friends post confinement. Thanks to Mondly I am getting even closer to my Greek connections and it makes virtual language learning so much enjoyable. Stay Home, stay safe, #coronavirus #confinement #mondly #learning Sidonie Sandrine.Version: 7.4.9

Outstanding AppI am finding Mondly an excellent App and easy to use, Thanks for a great App, Mondly..Version: 8.0.6

Possible the best language appOn the App Store. I’ve been trying to learn German with other well known apps on/off for a few years but this app really made me feel interested in learning the language. I feel encouraged to learn something new everyday and using the hand free/chatbot really helps with practising and moving things along. Would highly recommend it and I don’t usually leave reviews for many things but it’s great when you find something that works..Version: 9.14.0

Highly recommended and good priceThe app is helping me enormously both with speaking and reading French. Go at your own pace so one or two sessions today and binge tomorrow if you like. A very broad range of scenarios covered with a huge range of vocabulary. You may think ‘I don’t need to know about the zoo, sharks, nightclubs or hotels,’ but it does help with understanding grammar, conjugation of everyday verbs and also pronunciation. It does have the odd glitch. You’ll be asked to repeat a phrase such as ‘... à sept heures.’ When you do the app records it as ‘... à 7h’ and promptly marks you down. It clearly understands what you’ve said but records it incorrectly. A small detail though. Also there’s no guidance as to how to start using the app so at the beginning I was unsure if I was doing the course properly..Version: 8.0.1

GoodLearning languages by app is definitely the future. It’s more natural and interactive without the need to be academically minded. Would be nice if the app could take you places by increasing the difficulty as you progress, as opposed to leading more words and phrases at the same level..Version: 9.39.0

Great App, keeps you motivatedDaily lesson, pushes you to do a short lesson each day. Good mix between flash cards. Can change between Thai writing and phonetic spelling, so you can recognize Thai words and pronounce right. It has rewards, which make you feel you’ve achieved something. Option to unlock more lessons by subscribing, but free version still has Dailey lessons..Version: 7.3.14

It's good, for the kind of app it isI actually think this is a pretty good language-learning app, especially for someone who's just starting out in a language or needs a refresher. You learn all the vocabulary in the context of a sentence, and you're required to type the answers and to say the answers at some moments, so you're not just listening and spacing out at the same time. The daily lesson usually only takes me about two minutes to do, so if you find yourself "slacking" while using other apps, this one might be more doable for you. The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating is because I feel if I were to give that to a language app, I'd want it to be something I considered fun, or looked forward to doing. I think this is a good app, but I don't feel those ways toward it. But that doesn't mean it's bad..Version: 9.13.1

Much better than the language-specific appsThe addition of speech recognition is huge and it seems there have been corrections made when developing this generic Mondly app. I am quite happy so far that I downloaded this newer version and I think the improved experience will likely keep me motivated to continue. For instance, previous language-specific versions (German, Persian) would give me a verbal or text prompt in English that did not match the displayed text, or was not what the app was expecting me to type in. This meant that in order to get the answer right I had to remember which phrases the app had mixed up. In German it was often Du/Sie (informal/formal “you”), in Persian it would be a different phrase/verb altogether. I have yet to run into such a situation with this newer generic app..Version: 9.23.0

Great language learningExcellent value, highly recommended.Version: 10.8.0

Super fun and effective! !! Better then DUOLINGOUsing this to learn Norwegian because I’m a huge fan of SKAM and have always wanted to travel to Oslo. Very fun app and makes learning less intimidating. On my first day with this app 20 minutes in I’m already breezing through the phrases. As someone with ADHD, the memory card aspect is really helpful and makes it a fun always game like learning experience. I also like the nice little dings it makes when you get a the right answer. I like the little interactive futuristic brain chart at the end of each section that shows you what words and phrases you’ve learned. Very well done. Adverts aren’t a problem either and I like that you all don’t have a time limit on how and when to learn. I think this is better than Duolingo for sure..Version: 7.5.13

AwesomeI love this app. I’ve only been doing it for a few days but it’s addictive and I look forward to finding little bits of free time to learn Finnish on Mondly. It’s so well designed and has surpassed my expectations. I love the voice recognition and the conversation exercises. I’m doing it just for fun and to keep my mind active and it’s ticking both of those boxes. The Finnish is going in to my mind and I’m understanding so much so quickly. I’ve looked into a lot of apps and this one is by far the best. I have found no negatives at all. Well done to the designers!.Version: 7.5.2

Great language appSuper fun and great for learning languages fast. Would 100% recommend this app..Version: 7.5.4

GreatI find this better and more cost effective than Rosetta Stone, which as a paying subscriber to both I find the latter to be too slow and old fashioned whereas Mondly is more advanced. The app allows you to learn up to 33+ languages and includes AR and Chatbot support and I tend to get through lessons quicker and more efficiently. I also have Mondly VR for my Oculus Go which influenced my purchase of this app! If you’re learning a language at any level, go for it and pair it up with an app like HelloTalk to practise your skills with natives. Estou aprendendo português por quatro meses, este aplicativo é muito bom!.Version: 7.2

Lots of bells could do with more whistlesHi just wanted to say I absolutely love using Mondly and where other apps I’ve picked up and put down I always use Mondly for a few different languages. It’s really fun to do the daily lessons and I love going through the grammar sometimes , but could you please make it easier to review things covered in given category? I love to learn but always need to review I would just be really happy if I could fire up Mondly a bit late at night and quickly review what I had done in a recent lesson or something. Even a quick review option . Or test me - make quick tests or pre lesson reviews an option and I will gladly pick it and you can drill some of this stuff into my brain thanks a lot oh also you know sometimes I like the native voices but with the french course I only heard this for like a few words like tea and stuff , but the rest is all machine work. Too bad like the Turkish would be nice to have some native speakers But yes keep up the good work lots of good product to refine just needs a bit of polish I think you can stretch it out.Version: 9.2.1

AwesomeGreat app for languages learning..Version: 10.18.0

No Way to Cancel (updated)I liked Mondly and used it for a year membership. The problem was when I decided I didn’t want to renew. There is no method of shutting off the auto-renewal or cancelling membership. In the “settings” screen, then down to the “About” screen. Click on “Subscription info”. It says “auto-renewal may be turned off at any time by going to your settings in the iTunes Store after purchase”. Wrong. Mondly does NOT show up in my list of apps at the iTunes Store to cancel. I see “Lose It!”, Netflix, Apple Music, but no “Mondly”. This is showing on my bank statement as 2COCOM and nothing to do with Apple. I googled 2COCOM and it is a separate billing company. And they will not refund or cancel the auto-renewal. It also is not on my iPad settings / subscription list. THERE is NO way to CANCEL. Suggestions anyone? UPDATE: After putting up this review, I was contacted by Mondly and they did offer my money back - which I accepted. They said I was sent an email a week before the auto renewal - I didn’t see it but it could have went in my junk folder and was missed. They also offered an extra 6 months at no charge if I renewed..Version: 8.0.6

Fantastic learning tool if used correctlyLearning Spanish. Great app but shouldn’t have removed the conversation part of each topic as they helped with diction and it was funny to hear a conversation between you and yourself. Good for learning some key words and phrases but best used along side other learning materials and not alone as getting to grips with verb conjugation is easier if you read and practice since there are thousands of verbs and some rules that aren’t easy to grasp using Mondly’s method. However if you are starting a language from scratch it’s a great way to introduce you and get talking! The other things will come with experience and probably help from native speakers if you show a real passion to learn. Would be 5* if it introduced a refresher algorithm to refresh words and phrases as they start to be forgotten that you must type without help..Version: 7.2

Esthétique, bien ficelé, plaisant d’utilisationJ’apprécierais cependant comme nouvelles fonctionnalités un ajustement de difficulté pour les utilisateurs plus avancés, une option pour diminuer le nombre de revues dans le chat. Sommes toutes par contre, je la recommande..Version: 10.16.2

Fun and engagingApart from the microphone not always picking up what I’m saying (could also be that I’m not pronouncing it correctly too) I’ve picked up far more Czech on this app than I feel I could have using some others I’ve tried. Fun and engaging, well done..Version: 7.1.17

Very good……I gave this a 5 star rating because umm it’s grate but….ya I think it’s a great app for 8 and up because i have had a lot of experience and not one dollar will be payed……any ways it’s really a nice app. So I consider this is the best app for a grown up or chilled to learn a lot of diffrent apps injoy😀😀😀😀💞💞💞.Version: 9.7.2

Really great appReally great app for learning to speak Hindi. Let’s you learn a decent amount (more than 5 minutes) per day..Version: 7.5.2

Mondly appGreat little help! Very helpful..Version: 10.6.0

Excellent for speechIve used most of the apps, getting to grips with Italian. All have pluses and minuses and none seem to cover everything. What Mondly does is excellent voice to speech and makes it the best speaking app I’ve found. It’s absolutely not a comprehensive language learning tool. But for what it does, it does well. To get the most out of it, turn it to advanced (even if you’re beginner level - the lessons are the same) and do everything by voice. Downside - this would be 5 if the lessons were structured around learning rather than phrases. And this could be *the* market leader if they put some creativity into the structure of lessons.Version: 9.0.3

Like to see moreIm giving this 4.5 stars. I truly enjoy the app, its just and very refreshing to see that their added new things to it every so often. New languages, new ways to learn. I’ve been using this app on and off for quite some time mostly do to work and everything especially given the time that we’re in. However, the one thing that I would say that is making me give this app a 4.5 out of 5 stars is them taking so long to add new features to the app. Though, I completely understand with software engineering and things like that. Yes, those things take time. I understand. However, there are things that I would like to see be added that I think would change the app around a lot more. That and with the VR side of the app as well too. There really hasn’t been anything added to the VR app. Aside from thoes little flaws. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to brush up on the languages they already know and want to learn any new languages. Some of the grammar could still be working on, but nonetheless. I think this is a good game..Version: 9.0.2

Sehr gut App!Ich finde dieses App sehr nutzlich und auch einfach zu benutzen. Gut gemacht !.Version: 10.8.0

There are so many subscription offersAt the start the app was so great!!!!! But as soon as I got past the first chat box lesson the app didn’t let me go to the second lesson even though I finished the first one and now I can only have daily lessons because I don’t like paying for Subscriptions to learn a language..Version: 10.1.0

BEST LANGUAGE LEARNING APPHaving tried most of the others like Duolingo, Memrise, Babel, etc. Mondly is the best, most engaging, easy to use learning app. The way it progresses through categories, the way the lessons are formatted and saved, the ease of keeping track, plus the grammar applications within each question, all make it the quickest and most effective way to learn. I love it..Version: 7.4.9

Helpful appThis app has helped me quite a bit with the language I’m learning… But you have to pay premium if you want to get anywhere, or do anything else apart from the introduction stage :).Version: 9.30.0

One of the best teaching apps on the marketI am a private voice specialist and very often we work in foreign languages. This is absolutely one apps of the best that I’ve ever seen for education and recreation. I wanted to take the time to explain why I feel this way, for one thing I work with students who were on the autistic spectrum with great gift for music and left brain activity. This is fantastic particularly the virtual reality feature to be able to get my students attention and get them retaining the information. I also like that there are so many free features. The app is affordable at $10 a month, and I personally to keep myself polished on my language skills love the text conversation option. Whoever created this understands how the brain works and that education is very personalized. I think this opens a lot of doors to folks that maybe would get frustrated with the apps that only teach one way. I can only see this product improving as time goes on. And have high hopes for the future. Very best, Jen Vanella.Version: 7.1.16

I love this app but last update has ruined itI’ve been loving learning a language using Mondly app and have been making great progress. Unfortunately the most recent update has made the app unusable on my phone- I don’t have the option of typing or voice to text on one of question formats so I can’t answer it complete the lesson. I’ve reported the problem but it hasn’t yet been resolved.Version: 10.5.1

Love this appSo much that I came to say it again. The hands free lessons are great. An excellent app for learning languages. I like it more than Babbel..Version: 10.0.2

Excellent appThe app teaches everything a-z. Vocabulary, phrases, pronunciation and the best thing about it is you can repeat the lessons and the things you’ve learned come up in the lessons as well. Usage of vocabulary in sentences is amazing. Only recommendation for people would be to keep notes and write down the meaning of words to learn faster..Version: 9.37.1

My personal opinionThis app is fairly good, a little pricey month to month, but if you’re like me and you really care about investing into language learning then you wait until you see the “lifetime deal” and make that purchase off of impulse. Anyways, the lifetime deals are always worth it, trust me. I personally enjoy this apps way of teaching, it’s fun and it’s not bad at helping me remember stuff. I believe that the review for each sections in regards to vocab should be flash cards instead of swiping up or down to the correct one. Maybe there is that option and I just haven’t seen it, but I like flashcards way more for reviews. Anyways I used to use this app for Japanese andIt wasn’t bad but then I switched over to another platform that is far superior for Japanese than any other app. However, this app is really good for Spanish, I’ve been using it for Spanish and over certainly enjoyed it so far. I realistically want to give it four stars, but not because it’s bad, it’s just different than what I’m used to, but it is one of the best for practicing your speaking, at least compared to something like duo lingo. This app deserves 5/5 for the speaking portions..Version: 9.0.6

OUTSTANDING APP W/ AN OUTSTANDING TEAMI was having trouble with my Mondly subscription, but Ioana from Mondly has been very nice and she helped me out in every step of the way, always promptly responding to my questions. It is rare to find companies nowadays that offer the excellent customer service that Mondly has; it values the importance of human connection. In another aspect, the Mondly app is just as amazing as its customer service, and I couldn’t emphasize on it more! I study my Spanish and Japanese with this app and I love how it’s a language app that doesn’t just spoon-feed you and actually makes you think! I love that it offers different levels of difficulties, from beginner to advance, w/c will determine the amount of clues you’ll be getting for the lessons. Anyway, thank you Mondly team for creating such an amazing app! Thank you Ioana for the excellent customer experience! I wish you all the best and I shall continue to support you. ❤️.Version: 9.18.0

Indonesian for beginners. This course seems to suit me better than most I have tried. The words and phrases are actually useful. I like that there is a vocab list and verbal confirmation as well as repetition. Visual linking with pictures also helps. So much fun!!I am addicted to this app. I tried it out for free, but got a subscription and have not once felt like I’m not getting my money’s worth. They are continually improving the app by adding more features and lessons. I have made Mondly a part of my daily language learning. I’ve found myself adding more languages and learning them more consistently. The daily lessons are prefect for me to be consistent with even a few minutes daily. And it’s so much fun!! Update: re-upped my subscription. Every once in a while there will be an odd mistake, but being told you answered wrong, then shown the correct answer is the word you picked. A few times there has been a completely different sentence or variation of a word being spoken than is given as the answer, but it’s very easy to report these issues and I’ve noticed that the ones I’ve reported have all been corrected regardless of which language. Still very fun app and I really think it’s helping me with my pronunciation..Version: 9.30.0

Wonderful app for learning languages.Love this app, so efficient for helping you learn a language, you get a daily lesson every day, so, although there is in app purchases, you don’t have to get them, as you have your daily lesson. You also get a starter pack when you join, to help you learn the basics of your language. There is also a really cool chatbot, which you can use to talk to in the language you are learning, to help you practice. Only thing is, I would like a few less in app purchases, as they pop up a lot, and once you have done the starter pack and daily lesson, there isn’t really much else for you to do on the app. But, having said that, I really like it! 😍☀️.Version: 7.3.1

Started learning because a friend of mine spoke Bulgarian...We thought it would be fun if both of us could speak it. Also to prank her family when I can understand what they’re saying in their native tongue. I’m four days into learning, and she’s already giddy with the progress I’ve made! Learning Bulgarian, which doesn’t seem to be the hardest so far. Learning is fun- it normally wouldn’t seem like it, but the colors, and other aspects of this app make it feel like a game. From each ‘level’ of a chapter, to the way the chapters are laid out on the screen makes it feel like you’re progressing your way through a game. I love this app- it’s honestly better than Duolingo. Thanks to the creators! Footnote: I may be biased because I’m currently being allowed to learn Bulgarian via this app rather than take my second year of Spanish- so, big win right there..Version: 9.0.0

Just out of the box…I’m giving Mondly a second chance and starting from the beginning in their Thai lesson series. It’s generally good (I’m an advanced beginner level) with the caveat that it’s developed for English speakers who, for some reason, require a way to say “good morning/afternoon” even though exactly nobody says that in Thailand. I know they’re just filling up the learning engine, but c’mon… A big plus for me is that the Romanization of Thai script is an option and I can avoid being distracted by a character set my brain is more familiar with. This lets you learn to read and listen from the very beginning. Props, too, for the lesson structure. They’re fun and short without being too gamified. Update: The app can’t work with a language like Thai where there are gender forms of personal pronouns like Thai. They’re hard coded into the examples so you can’t just say: Use the male form. This is an issue because 90% of the examples use the female form which doesn’t apply in my case. Also, there are a number of examples that use word-for-word translation of English. “We would like a pot of tea.” For example, that would never be used in spoken Thai. The app will also start using words in the examples that haven’t yet been defined. The lesson I just finished defined “grandfather” one way but then immediately started using a different way to say it. Like dropping from informal to very formal..Version: 9.37.1

THANK GOODNESS FOR THIS APPI was so happy to find this app, i recently wanted to start learning korean because first bts is korean and second it seems like a really fun language. I want to go and live in korea in the future with a friend of mine and before then i want to be fluent, i do use duolingo and it helped me learn some of the korean alphabet (hangul) but this app opens up more vocab, u can learn how to speak in a conversation or u can learn simple words like mother ,father, sister or brother. their technique is really helpful, u can learn but writing it or by speaking it they have lots of options, i’m doing the 7 day free trial right now and i might end up buying it after this week. i advise anyone trying to learn any language to use this app.Version: 9.3.2

One of the bestI’m not kidding when I say this because i am very picky about some things… this is one of the best language learning apps i have used ever. i’m learning japanese on it and i can memorise so much just from these simple lessons. i just wish you can unlock all without going premium, but so far, i can have a really conversation in japanese and actually know what i’m saying!!.Version: 9.15.1

Excellent appVery nice app. The AI part makes it worth the money! I am happy to use it. Very user friendly and interactive..Version: 10.15.0

In my opinion, the best choiceI looked at most of the language-learning apps available and I’ve settled on Mondly. It just seems like the one that will really embed the language in my head in bite-sized chunks. I’m starting out with Hindi, having returned fairly recently from a trip to India and feeling unworthy only being able to say ‘Hello’ and ‘Thank you.’ One thing I would like to see as an addition, especially for languages like Hindi, Greek and Arabic is the ability to learn how to write the characters of the alphabet. The Devanagari script is beautiful and essential if you want to find your way around an Indian railway station. Might it be possible to add this, especially for those, like me, who have forked out for a year’s subscription?.Version: 7.5.2

BeneNice and continuous work..Version: 9.14.0

Great resources, some technical issuesThe range of content available is fantastic, especially since many other apps don’t even offer Hungarian. However, there are some problems with the voice recognition functionality, for example numbers are registered as digits instead of words and are noted as incorrect. I would appreciate the option to report such issues in speaking exercises, as is possible with other types of exercises in the app. In any case, I would still highly recommend this app to language learners!.Version: 7.5.4

CoolCool app.Version: 9.34.0

Week 5 Of Mondly App Use.I have found the Mondly app very useful and I have learned a great deal of Spanish words and phrases(300+). However I did find that a specific phrase ; ¿Ves aquella montaña? Translated (Mondly). Do you see that mountain? Although when I checked out the Spanish word for "that" it's pronounced Esa. So I entered in Google Translate English version of "Do You see that mountain?" Google translate returned ¿ves esa montaña? So I'm not sure if ¿Ves aquella montaña? Is the correct way of asking in Spanish "Do you see that mountain? Also the app has crashed consistently all day today. Whenever I click on statistics inside the app it freezes and the app cannot be closed..Version: 10.7.0

Amazing! But...The limitations without paying for the app are significant and it makes me sad. I’m only a high school student and don’t have access to a lot of money. Please work on allowing us to do more, I wouldn’t mine if there were ads and what not if more content was available for free..Version: 7.1.3

Better Than DuolingoEven using just the free tier, learning languages with Mondly is much better than with that infamous owl app. Mondly teaches you practical vocabulary applicable to everyday social situations. It goes beyond mere translation of contrived sentences by giving you the opportunity to listen to and participate in short, meaningful conversational dialogues using your own voice. I am studying Finnish with Mondly but have studied some of the language with books and other apps. I find the learning experience with Mondly very satisfying and look forward to each lesson. Due to the very complex nature of Finnish grammar, the app doesn’t so far seem to cover any topics related to important aspects such as vowel harmony, consonant gradation, grammatical cases, etc. My previous work in the language has helped me to recognize certain case endings of words in the various exercises in each language. Perhaps these topics will be addressed in later sections of the course. If not, no worries since I will continue studying Finnish grammar in the books I already own. No textbook can provide the interactive experience that an app like Mondly provides, however. So for that alone it’s worth the investment. Minä tykkään tästä ihanasta sovellusta! Paljon kiitos!.Version: 10.13.0

Great AppReally enjoying this app! It makes learning languages fun😀.Version: 7.0

Great learning toolI also use another popular learning app, and am using Mondly in conjunction. Mondly is different from the other app. I appreciate the options to select my topic of learning (grammar today? Or travel? Or clothing?) and type of learning that suits me at the moment. I really enjoy the hands-free “chat” which corresponds with each lesson and requires both listening and verbal skills, as well as forces me to think of the correct response instead of choosing from a selection. I also appreciate that those types of exercises are optional and not required to progress because I am more familiar with some topics and don’t always need or want the extra verbal lessons. Highly recommend! Great tool especially in conjunction with other language learning options, as the way the lessons are broken up allow you to work on areas of your personal weakness instead following a one-size-fits-all order of lessons.Version: 7.5.4

FantasticI was looking for an app to learn danish as it was my dream to learn it, my primary school teaches Italian only and my high school doesn’t teach danish either. My mom told me that she put me in French for high school which sounded pretty good. I found French and I’ve learnt so much. I rate this app ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It is totally worth it..Version: 7.3.19

Favorite Language AppThis is genuinely my favorite language learning app, i love the number of languages available so much. i bought a premium subscription a few years ago and have access to all the languages offered, and i am so so glad i made that purchase. i started using mondly for its korean course, and now i use it for korean, polish, mandarin, french, and german. the hands-free lesson mode is also very useful and enjoyable, albeit a bit frustrating when the bot just Does Not interpret what you say. some of the phrases they teach should be broken down a bit more for pronunciation and comprehension's sake, in my opinion, at least in the "core vocabulary" section. all the new sounds in a new language can be overwhelming to try and pick out and spit back out to the bot when she only says it to you once, so i think offering the "one word at a time" option earlier on with phrases would be very, very cool. i also love the daily lessons so much, the vocab is always useful. solid 9/10, will always recommend.Version: 9.0.6

Please correct spelling for VietnameseGrew up with Vietnamese parents who didn’t teach me to read or write in the language but I speak fairly fluently. So I prefer to write responses to the app instead of speaking them to improve in the areas I need. I can spell the letter combinations of most words without a hitch but the Vietnamese tones can be tricky to decipher. My complaint is that the app will give my response as correct even though I’ve used the incorrect intonation mark. Maybe you could possibly fix it so that the correct answer shows up in addition to my “correct” response. This way, I can spot my mistakes. The reason I know that my “correct” responses are not correct is when I’ve typed in the last letter, I still have to tap the “check” button. When I’ve spelled it absolutely correctly, the answer will ding without me doing anything. Otherwise, Mondly is helping me rediscover my native language. App is so much better than when I first paid for it many many years ago and stopped using it shortly thereafter. They’ve greatly improved the listening and speaking functions. It’s so much more immersive and interactive than before. I know that Mondly is making my life better moving forward. I know I can finally visit Vietnam one day without being ashamed that I can’t read or write in my birth language. Shout out to Ioana at Mondly for helping me out with restoring my purchase..Version: 9.0.5

American learning FrenchA fairly clear structure with good visuals and clear pronunciations. My goal is to read books in French, and this app seems more geared to travelers or business people visiting a French speaking country. I also feel it is more geared toward British English than to American English even though I specified American when I signed up. They use words like biscuit for cookie, holiday for vacation, etc. which gets a little confusing in some of the modules. Is a “cooker” a stove? Most Americans would never use the word cooker. And Americans spell color without the letter u. I have been using this app for three years and three months, and although they have added modules, i feel there is not enough explanation of verb tenses or conjugations. Some of the translations are too loose. It would be easier if they better explained them; for example an American would say “I need ___” whereas in French they say “I have need of ___”. That much I learned in high school, but it was not explained in the app. Small things like that can be very helpful. Colloquialisms (or what I take to be colloquial) are not explained at all. For example, the word cour translates as court, but the app uses it interchangeably with garden, (jardin) which is confusing. Users need to intuit a bit..Version: 10.6.0

Enjoying this more than Duolingo :)I became bored with Duolingo’s Turkish learning method after participating every day for a year. It felt dry and repetitive. Decided to switch to Mondly and I am so glad. It’s fun, colourful, engaging. I feel it evolving as new lessons and topics are added frequently. Thank you! Teşekkür!.Version: 10.18.0

Excellent AppReally easy to use, and does a lot or repetition through the lessons. Well done!.Version: 7.2

Mondly makes learning a language funThere is a new lesson each day to encourage you to practice regularly. There is a great range of languages to choose from. You can set your level to beginner, intermediate or experienced. You can see the top scores from your country and the world providing great motivation to practice each day..Version: 7.1.3

Good for beginnersGreat app for language learning beginners! My only peeve is that you can’t really choose what level you start at - although most language apps are like this. I selected that my current language level is intermediate, but the app doesn’t seem to start you off any further along. You can just move onto other vocabulary though. If you can already speak the language very well, it’s probably not for you, but if you’re just beginning, it’s pretty faultless. I had a problem with my subscription appearing in the app, but customer service were quick and friendly to help, and the problem was resolved overnight..Version: 7.5.4

Amazing! This is the best language learning app I’ve found so far, by far. The hands-free feature is insanely good, I find it quite expensive, though it’s worth the price, and it’s still worth having the free version for the daily activities.Version: 9.31.1

Great appEnjoyable way to learn..Version: 9.22.0

Limitations but great practice! This app and Mondly in general is an amazing system for an absolute beginner, someone that knows some basics and wants to review, or even someone like me that at one point, knew far more of several languages. I unfortunately don’t get to use much other than English in my daily activities. And I am or otherwise too busy to remember to practice or organize practice play dates with others that know the languages as well. This is a great way to keep fresh on some practical words. I enjoy the chat features to role play. The AR is fun to use as well! I happen to also have the VR Mondly app for my oculus, which is also neat! If you are serious about this and enjoy it, instead of paying the premium fee, I recommend searching for the lifetime membership. Sometimes they have it for $100 or less and you have unlimited access to premium for the rest of forever. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to dabble in a new language, or those that want to have some basic practice, as to not get rusty..Version: 9.37.2

Best language app I’ve tried! Keeps you accountable!Best language learning app I have tried and will be continuing! The Daily lessons keep me accountable. I have tried many other apps and this is the first that I find genuinely helpful and motivates me to continue. So many different aspects to the app that make it worlds above the others. My only concern is the beginning phase of learning a language and the grammar. I had lessons previously so I could manage however if you have nil experience the initial levels may be confusing without initial grammar lessons. Overall this app is well worth it!.Version: 8.0.3

MondlyThis is the best ..Version: 10.16.2

Great app for speaking! Well done! This is better than other language learning apps for actually speaking and practicing useful phrases! As with all apps, you’ll need other supplemental learning tools. There are still the occasional little things that aren’t perfect, but very minor. The mic hears completely different words sometimes, but it often gives you time to correct. It makes you really listen and speak, and that is the best! The hands free option is terrific! In English we say bookstore not bookshop. So that type of thing is really minor. Seems like it is US English usually so that is good, and I’d rather have weird English than weird Italian, so that’s fine. It is fun and educational. The competition piece could be better. It would be good to compare yourself to others with similar points, not to see scores that are way greater than your own..Version: 9.6.2

Assez bien, français d’EuropeFaut s’adapter au français d’Europe, donc des fois ça donne des erreurs si on emploie le français du Canada..Version: 10.17.0

Great for Rusty SpeakersI used to be able to speak, read and write mandarin as a second language, but after I finished school my education stopped. This app has been a great opportunity for me to relearn these skills, including speaking. The only feedback I have is that I think the app could appear a little clearer with the recommended order that you do the lessons in, and that there isn’t a writing function - although I imagine that would be very hard to integrate. Otherwise I love the reminders and use this every night, and all my vocabulary is gradually coming back to me!.Version: 7.5.2

Mondly is greatGreat learning tool for acquiring languages.Version: 10.16.1

First class AppExcellent app! Would highly recommend. Mondly teaches relevant everyday phrases. It’s combination of translation and spoken word assists learning. Building short sentences that gradually get more complex develops learning at an appropriate pace. I am learning Hungarian which is very different to English and I really struggled with sentence structure and grammar. I previously tried Duolingo which was full of nonsense sentences one would be unlikely to use in reality. It also got very complex very quickly with no explanation of grammatical rules. Mondly shows verb conjugations which is brilliant. Best language app I’ve tried for a beginner. Also offers a broad range of languages whereas other apps tend to focus on French German and Italian. Fab app. Love it..Version: 8.0.1

CroatianFirst app I found that’s decent for Croatian.Version: 10.16.2

MondlyExcellent app.Version: 7.4.9

Very easy to use and understandI love how simple it is to use and already feel my reading and writing skills have improved faster than any other way I have tried to learn a language previously..Version: 9.23.0

Good.I am enjoying this app. Don’t fool yourself. Learn ing Chinese is not easy. You need to be committed and this app helps..Version: 10.14.0

Mondly is AMAZING 😉I give mondly five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️because it is an AMAZING app were you learn different languages and if you want to download it do it but there is one thing you have to pay for it if you want all of the levels unlocked but they give a free day trial 😁so you can try it out this app is free and also I have had it for a bit and I am learning polish and at the start I knew nothing but when I started using it it helped me a lot so now I can speak it a little bit but I am still practicing and any way plssss download mondly NOW BECAUSE IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY GOOD 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️🥺NOW pls download it ok 👌 sorry 😐 if there are spelling mistakes 🤪🤩😎🥰😂😹😹😸.Version: 7.5.2

One of the only apps offering BengaliMy parents are native Bengali speakers. I grew up listening to Bengali but not learning how to properly speak it. One of my goals was to improve my ability to speak Bengali. There are only 2 language learning apps offering Bengali- Mondly and Ling. I started with Ling, and despite very eye catching animations, the words I was learning didn’t sound correct based on my family’s pronunciation and vocabulary. I then tried Mondly, which has vocabulary I am more familiar with. I also like the chatbot function to help practice having conversations. I know this app still has a long way to go, but as a product manager myself, I believe this app will continue to improve so I am investing in this now. So far, pretty great!.Version: 9.39.0

Better than Duolingo but needs to explain the basicsI downloaded the app as ‘free’ Duolingo suddenly started giving 5 hearts (lives / mistakes) per day / lesson and pushing you to take up the ‘unlimited’ option... which of course cost a monthly fee. While Duolingo constantly advertises itself as being free, it certainly isn’t enough to allow you to effectively learn a language unless you are prepared to pay. So in order to be able to have enough option to learn enough I knew I had to bite the bullet and pay. Out of principle Duolingo was out. After some research and because I wanted to learn Romanian (not one of the popular languages available on Babble etc) my due diligence led me to Mondly, which scored highly on review sites. I’m about a week into it and I like the format. The vocalisation is certainly significantly superior to Duolingo. There is a good breath of subjects but I would prefer some options to master the basics I.e. “I do, she does, they do” etc. And some more options to explain things such as definite articles. Rather than effectively leave you to learn through trial and error. To my mind it is a little bit ‘run before you can walk’ and would also have preferred an option to have my level assessed rather than have to pick the beginner/intermediate/advanced for myself. Explanations over gender, construction and form would make this a 5 star app..Version: 7.5.2

Overall great - just a few tweaks neededI’ve been eager to learn Spanish formally so when I saw a deal on HuffPost for a lifetime subscription to Mondly for about $40, I grabbed it. Overall I’ve been very pleased with the app. I like the range of lessons available (daily, grammar, lots of different categories). I like the competitive piece of it too, and the bonuses for doing at least one lesson each day. My only quibbles are that it’s unreasonably picky about correct answers and there isn’t quite as much conversation as I’d like. An example of the pickiness is that it asks to translate “Que clase de habitacion desearia?”; I translated it as “what type of room would you like?” And it dinged me because the correct answer was “what room type would you like?” It would be great if there were alternate correct responses. In terms of conversation, it would be good if there were more opportunities for speaking practice in each lesson. I’d like it if there were times when there was a sentence in English and I had to come up with the correct Spanish phrase without a prompt, rather than just saying what I’m reading..Version: 7.3.7

Easy and fun.Lessons are quite short, which makes it easy to review and not overwhelming..Version: 10.8.0

MondlyIt is so helpful definitely recommend if you want to learn a new language sadly have to pay for others buy quality languages are free give it a try it’s safe and professional.Version: 9.2.1

I Like Learning With This AppI’m am really enjoying learning with this app. The variety of input and output in your target languages with this app are fun and gets you speaking in your new language instantly. It takes a while to get use to getting the pronunciations correct, but the AI in this app recognises this a taylor lesson to this as well. You never feel overwhelmed, intimidated or demotivated from the frustration of making mistakes. The app will assist this in an encouraging way. I would recommend this app to any one wishing to learn anyone of the many languages available on this app..Version: 9.0.5

10/10 :)Love this app! So easy to use and better than the website :).Version: 9.6.2

Love it!This a pretty cool language app. Have tried all of the others, but keep coming back to this one. I have a visual impairment, and have found all the other apps I have tried to be very hard to see. This one is easy to see and read, and has plenty of awesome features to keep you motivated..Version: 7.4.9

Change subscriptionThis app on top of Drops are two of my favourite language learning apps however the major let down for this app where Drops does better is that this doesn’t include a “pay once and get access to everything” option which made it accessible for someone like me who gets irregular work shifts that doesn’t allow me to pay a subscription fee. However this app does include relevant topics that Drops does not which is why it frustrates me that Mondly still doesn’t have an option to pay once and have lifetime access to all lessons. Sure if I were working full time I could quite easily pay a regular subscription fee but as someone who unfortunately doesn’t have this luxury I’d love if the developers could consider this as an option for us language learners..Version: 7.5.4

Like itLike the app.Version: 10.7.0

Good for FinnishReally good app for Finnish - there aren't many out there. Well laid out and the voices are easy to hear and understand. the free version doesn't offer as much as duolingo free. The reason for four stars rather than 5 is the lack of varied repetition of content on the subscription version. This is what I find most useful when learning, to really drill home new vocab. With Mondly you can only repeat the same lesson on a subject so it feels less helpful than duo for retaining new words and concepts. Also there is a lack of grammar/explanatory chat for each section to underpin the learning. But still, overall worth it for an annual subscription..Version: 9.13.1

Enjoying the appSo far so good..Version: 7.0.6

MondlyI am enjoying this app. It is easy to use and I am learning lots..Version: 9.37.2

Reading and speakingI’m a visual learner, so learning Thai was always going to be a challenge given the script is different. This app really helps by combining the written ( transliterated, romanized) words with the native speaker and visual cues. I also like that it’s self paced, ie click to continue, not just fixed silence space in an audio tape, and easy to replay when needed. Better than a book, better than audio only, has the best of both..Version: 7.5.2

I love this app!Mondly is an awesome app. It teaches pretty much everything you need to know about a language and how to communicate with others. It features written and spoken lessons, and also conversations. It is definitely worth subscribing and isn't really expensive, at all!.Version: 10.1.0

Good stuff guys!Great app has helped tremendously, very simple to use, you can learn at whatever pace you want!.Version: 7.3.13

Easiest & fastest way to learn a language!I’ve tried many ways over the years to learn Hebrew but they were limited in capacity, as there wasn’t anyone to practice with. With Mondly, you can practice conversations and accent easily as well as hearing the native sounds of a language. Thank you Mondly, I’ve finally found a way to fluency. 5+⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 9.30.0

IntuitivoMuito intuitivo , acredito que tirando as abas de pagamento para a pessoa aprender a dinâmica do aplicativo seria muito mais fácil da pessoa adquirir, depois que aprendesse a dinâmica do aplicativo..Version: 10.8.0

Very good for starting a new language6 weeks learning as a Japanese beginner (Romaji): Easy to use and well thought out, Mondly had me understanding spoken and written words and phrases very quickly. Perhaps unsurprisingly as their courses cover so many languages, Mondly doesn’t reflect the culture of Japan particularly well (only Western food encountered so far) and there are occasionally questions which are impossible to answer correctly (fill in the missing word – there isn’t one :-) There are some really useful articles on the Mondly website – for example one on Japanese numbers and another on the Japanese alphabet and I would recommend studying these as an additional resource. Highly recommended. *Edit after 9 month’s use : There is always feedback from reports of bugs or errors in content. After a few months I was able to understand and participate in conversations online and IRL with Japanese speakers. I looked elsewhere for understanding of Japanese grammar..Version: 9.30.0

Much deeper study than DuolingoWhen I initially started with Mondly, I was a bit put off by the interface design - probably because I am so used to Duolingo. Since Duolingo doesn’t have Catalan for English speakers, I had no other choice. However, after a couple of weeks with Mondly, I am pleasantly surprised at how quickly I am progressing, and how easy it is to review core concepts. Both Mondly and Duolingo follow a game-based approach, with the option to compete on leaderboards and follow friends. However, here are a few clear differences I have seen, and where I think Mondly has the advantage: - Mondly makes the grammar clear, and makes the conjugations of verbs very quick to look up. - The ‘brain map’ concept with all the associated words and phrases are brilliant for quick review. - Multiple learning paths are available, and you can pick to do more than the daily lesson at any point, and it is very clear what you have already done and what not. I will be interested to see my progress in about 4-6 months, once I’ve mastered some of the basics..Version: 10.0.2

This stuff work!!Yooooo this app is crazy good and updated! Now with a hands free option that feels like a real teacher/tutor. The modules are easy going and quick to understand. I love being able to go back and repeat a single subject until it clicks!! This is for anyone really wanting to learn a language and is willing to put in some tune each day. Daily, weekly, and monthly quizzes optional but I also recommend doing those. Once you get into it you can check your “statistics” where it shows how much time you’ve invested overall, how many words youve reviewed, how many phrases you’ve reviewed, your level (based on the points you get from each activity), and a graph with the amount of points (I. E. Activities done) each day so you can see your progress. The community part makes it interesting to see how other people around the world or USA are doing! Super cool app overall.Version: 7.4.2

Best app for Persian learning in my experienceMondly is *by far* the best app I've used for learning Persian. There doesn't seem much of a market for English speakers to learn Persian so I'm glad that Mondly has taken this on, and understand that there are costs required to create all the lessons, so I feel the fee charged is reasonable. Having said that, I observe the following: (a) It relentlessly reminded me to give it a rating. I can't comfortably give it 5 stars after such nagging. (b) It doesn't teach spoken Persian, i.e. the informal sort that everyone uses. Perhaps that's a bit harsh, as some of the examples every now and then are informal/spoken. I can see why they do it, as I guess they want people to know the written way before they can start embarking on the spoken shortcuts that are part of conversational Persian. (c) A recent update has reduced the font sizes, making it much harder to read on a smartphone screen. (d) I have concerns about my account being charged at renewal, as I don't generally opt for auto-renew. I think I've managed to sort this in my phone's settings. Let's see!.Version: 10.7.0

Very accessibleReally good. Very accessible. Many of the tasks make it quite easy to guess, though, without really learning, thanks to pictures etc, so it’s a good idea to slow down and think about what the words are all doing, perhaps having a phrase book open alongside the app to consolidate knowledge. The app lets you click on words to see verb conjugations etc to support this learning, which is helpful. It’s good that you can get a one-month subscription to this, too, as a little crash-course before a trip..Version: 10.6.0

Excelent app for language learningI tried brushing up some of the languages I used to study in the past - French, German, Italian and Greek. I am still at beginners levels and I haven’t tried intermediate and advanced yet, but I find this app amazingly convenient and easy to use. Learning with thus app is pleasure. The issue I had before when I was trying self-study approach was that I was never sure about the correct pronunciation. With this app you can hear the right pronunciation of each word or phrase with different voices. You can check your own pronunciation as well. Another good feature is hyperlink to the verbs. You can see the full conjugation of the verb in present, future and past. In most of the manuals the grammar rules are spread across the entire text book and you cannot see all this information in one place..Version: 7.1.3

AmazingI m brishing my Spanish and mondly is a great and interactive app. Super cool!.Version: 10.17.0

Easy to use appThe Mondly app is not the first language program I have used but it is better than the others. I find it easy to use and enjoy doing the lessons etc... Although I am obviously a long way off star pupil judging buy the accumulated points of others using this app..Version: 9.4.0

MondlyI like it, it is fun to learn a new language 😊🤙.Version: 7.3.14

Mondly language tuitionVery enjoyable. I’m starting to become comfortable with the pronunciation of the words and am starting to recognise key phrases. And I’m only doing this for about 10 mins a day.Version: 7.0.6

Good app for adult learners, studying LatinStudying Latin now after purchasing the app. Was using the beginning version for Latin. I don’t see the differences between beginning, intermediate, advanced Latin lessons except more typing/spelling for Latin which is not too fun.. Also, the point system is off. The daily lessons seem to get maximum points. I purchased the app which appeared to open up all the vocabulary lessons covering specialized topics such as travel, food, family. First, they appear to be the same things I learn in the daily lesson and second the point system is motivating to me but the vocabulary lessons have fewer points for more work. Do I have to get asked for a rating every other day though I purchased the app. Can you keep track that people have already rated the app? I started at a five rating with this app, am at a three now and think it will continue to decline. The more I use the app, I learn that it is soo repetitive. I think I completely get that “animal” in English and Latin is the same word and am always getting quizzed on it...I wish that the intermediate/advanced versions progressed into different tenses/grammar. Thx for a good app, it’s a reasonable price I think..Version: 9.0.2

SpanishVery easy to learn and fun.Version: 9.30.0

Amazing so far!!I was using Babbel-which was good at the beginning…but unfortunately the content wasn’t the right angle for me to learn when it got harder… I found it to wordy; especially as I’m a visual leaner! I have only been using Mondly for a week and I already love it! I think I love the hands free option the most, as you get to repeat sentences which then enables you to remember them. Each lesson Is only short so I find it easier for you to learn new phrases too. Let’s hope this continues as I would really like to learn Italian as it is part of my culture..Version: 9.34.0

I love itI’ve tried a lot of apps to learn new languages but they all weren't working if only i had found this app sooner. I would really recommend this app it extremely helpful but the only thing wrong with it is that it gives me a lot of notifications and i have tried turning them off but then i forget to go on the app and i try to go on it at least once a day but apart from that tiny issue i think it is great and would recommend it to any trying to learn a new language.Version: 7.5.13

Great app to learn with, highly recommend!Love it!.Version: 10.7.0

Excellent appI unlocked a previous version and now there's a new one but my stats have transferred just wondering if I should delete the old one? I upgraded but not on monthly subscription yet, will do when I get to intermediate level..Version: 6.0.8

Great app - some additional features would be goodMondly is a great app, and it’s both more comprehensive and more in-depth (in vocabulary terms, at least) than other competitors out there. If there’s a point I would consider for improvement: a better mechanism to revise all vocabulary would be good, say a randomised set of 20 learned words or a random learned topic for a revision session. As it is: though I do like the ‘brain view’ groupings of vocabulary, this could be complemented with more. Anyway, it’s a great learning experience - and one which is at its best when used to complement other learning options, as part of a broader approach..Version: 6.2

👌Great app to learn danish !.Version: 9.13.1

Learning Turkish with MondlyI have been using Mondly premium for about 6 months and found it so interesting that I have my ipad near me so that any spare time is spent on learning more Turkish. At the age of 64 I thought it would be difficult for me to learn a foreign language but thanks to Mondly both my wife and are addicted to it. The support from Mondly is second to none. I have never experienced such an excellent support from a software vendor. I highly recommend this interesting learning tool. My grateful thanks to Mondly’s team..Version: 6.4.1

Well madeI really enjoy learning with this app! It’s helps with connecting with my friends who speak Afrikaans, we all love joking about how bad I am aha. The only issue I have with this is the constant “Subscribe to learn faster!” After each lesson I have. Maybe just the every once in a while would be much better..Version: 9.0.3

A great language learning appI love Mondly. It offers a wide range of languages to study. One may start at the Beginning, Intermediate or Advanced level. Lessons incorporate written (native or romanized) script, photos and auditory input. Practice is given in both native language to new language translation and new language to native language translation. Each lesson ends with a review. Larger weekly reviews are also given. Periodic pronunciation checks are sprinkled through the week’s lessons. The materials encourage the use of pragmatic contextual knowledge as well. It is possible to work back and forth between a standardized set of lessons and new daily lessons at each level. In studying a few different languages I have found that I was able to progress gradually and encouragingly. A pleasure to use..Version: 9.0.2

I love this appEasy to learn my first phrases.Version: 7.1.12

For beginners learning isn’t easyIt never is easy to learn a new language from scratch with no experience. I’m currently learning it because the company I’m working for is owned by a Korean company. Learning just to communicate with everyone would be cool I think. I also would like to visit sough Korea I think that would be an interesting trip. I’m only day two and I can say I’m impressed with what they have and the lesson and the way they teach. You feel like your almost just thrown in there at first but if you don’t get it they’ll walk you through it step by step in the hands free section. I would 100% recommend this to anyone I just started so I might find some negatives but not yet. There have been issues with mic picking up different things I’m saying but that’s bound to happen that can’t be perfect..Version: 9.36.0

GreatStarted using Mondly a couple months back when I found out one of the languages available was Croatian! I used to be fluent in Croatian as a child but since I haven’t spoken it for nearly 8 years now, lots of it has been forgotten and left behind, and I’ve wished to revise or re learn it for ages. However, I could never find the right app or books that had the Croatian language. Although a bit expensive for an annual and lifetime membership, I have recently joined college so enjoyed a 50% discount off the lifetime purchase which was now £44 instead of £88. I immediately purchased it as it includes 41 languages, and I’ve wished to learn the basics of other languages too. Overall, the app is very simple and easy to use, and I like the star system, and the way you can revisit which words you have learnt so far. I’ve managed to memorise quite a lot of Croatian thus far and am also progressing with Korean as a third language, I can now read and write confidently, and make my own simpler sentences. This continues to encourage me to persevere, and perhaps one day try a fourth language for fun, such as French, or German. Never hurts to know more! Other things I would like to see included could possibly include, more chat bot conversations, more speaking and listening, and perhaps videos with local speakers. Thank you. Hvala. 감사합니다..Version: 8.0.1

MondlyYou do have to pay for it monthly, but it is amazing.Version: 10.8.0

Great software, however...The software of this app is perfect, I have yet to find one flaw. My only critiques are that I don’t feel that this app is teaching me phrases to use realistically. I don’t feel that it adequately challenges nor teaches/explains grammar on a level where you can begin to put two in two together. When you make a mistake it docs you a star, and for you to receive 100% on the lesson you have to retake the entire lesson which makes the process frustrating and discouraging. I downloaded the trial version of Rosetta Stone and I was surprised and inspired by the contrast of their differences. Immediately Rosetta Stone enabled me to thoroughly understand why and what I was saying. It was not as easy but I felt that I learned more from a three day trial version of Rosetta Stone versus weeks worth of studying on Mondly. If Mondly Adopted more features similar to Rosetta Stone and I would be entirely satisfied..Version: 7.3.13

Pompi Forster PrattPlease cancel my subscription’ I can no longer pay for this! Enjoyed but need to cancel Thanks.Version: 8.0.1

Good for one user but not for moreThis app has been great it getting started to learn Chinese. It walks you through slowly and has a great feature where you speak back the words to check your pronunciation. The problem is the billing and multiple user features are terrible. First I got charged for both a single month and a year package when I went from monthly to yearly. The next is I added additional users so my family could learn as well but we can’t figure out how they signin. You get pop ups stating for the other user to try it but there is no way to switch users or to have them sign in on their own device! Lastly I try to access my account via the app and you can enter your email address and there is a header for password but no way to enter it!.Version: 10.6.0

Forget DuolingoI wasted a year on Duolingo and finished the entire Russian course and yet couldn’t string two sentences together. Back in Mondly for a week and learning new words and more sensible sentences and correct pronunciation. This is an awesome app. ********* Duolingo is like doing the exam before doing the course. Mondly is more like a course that tests you along the way. Much better pronunciation of words too. Not as pretty as Busuu but this is the most effective app I have used to date. Better than Busuu. *********** The more I use this on other languages the more I love it too. Very clever progression of words and relevant sentences along with examples in different grammatical constricts. It is wonderful that you can go back and do previous lessons even years earlier. This allows for intensive word review. Then you can go into dialogues and practice your speaking and listening skills. Plan to resubscribe every year for life. ************** Still loving it. Added more languages now..Version: 8.0.6
