✓ More Highlighters and markup toolsI love this Bible! I love how you can remove verse numbers and footnotes! However, I would like it if there were more highlighter colours than just yellow. I highlight in my other bible apps every prophecy and every fulfilled prophecy, both in different colours. However, I can’t do that in this app because I don’t have different colours to differentiate them. Please add new highlighter colours and other markup tools..H18vmeVersion: 2.0.4

✓ Audio & text/Unable to purchase in-appA couple things that would be nice: when the audio is “reading” it would be great if the page keeps up so I’m not manually scrolling along. And when pausing the audio, it starts over instead of picking up where it was paused at. Second thing: I was finally going to purchase but am unable to from within the app. After clicking to buy a message pops up saying you’re unable to purchase from in-app, I click “ok” and an error message follows saying it’s unable to complete the transaction, and I can only press “ok”. So I’m hoping I’m not charged multiple charges because I tried it a couple times thinking it was a fluke, also, I’m disappointed I can’t buy the extra features. ✓ Daily Bible ReadingsI find it very frustrating that in the Daily Bible Readings section that there is no direct link from the scripture verses to the actual scriptures. This is very counter intuitive and I’m surprised this was missed. It doesn’t make sense to go back and forth from the scripture references to the actual bible and then back again to the scripture reference and then repeat two to three more times. The scripture references should just link to the scripture with a forward button to the next scripture to read. Or You can just layout all the scriptures in order on one page so users can just read it all at once..BrettLutchmanVersion: 2.0.3

✓ Just okayI love John McArthur but I had much higher expectations and am disappointed in this app. Whenever clicking a passage to view notes then returning to reading the Bible, it always goes to either the beginning of the chapter or 5 verses behind the verse I clicked on. Also, when I click on a foot note it’s nearly impossible to see the letter that is associated with corresponding verses when in dark mode. So I don’t know if the verses are for foot note a, b, or c. Lastly, I thought there would be much more notes of verses and difficult to understand passages. Overall disappointed but still use it for the little bits of insight given from McArthur..WaytoooooooslowVersion: 2.0.8

✓ Glitchy for anyone else?I don’t know what happened but initially this app was AMAZING. Now it’s so glitchy for me :( When I’m in reading the notes for the chapter, I can’t use the arrow in the upper left to go back. None of the links work when I click them for cross referencing. It just highlights the text for me to copy/paste or something but it won’t take me to the different part of the Bible verses. and I have to scroll to the chapter ahead to read the notes for the previous chapter. Ie: if I want to read notes for Matthew 3, I have to basically be at the start of Matthew 4 and it’ll show me Matthew 3 notes. I have to exit out of the app and reopen it several times. I’m so disappointed. It’s really frustrating. Is it just my phone??.Oh, hello friend.Version: 2.0.8

✓ GlitchyI noticed that when I open the app and scroll down, it will randomly move back up to whatever verse it was on when I started the app. It makes me lose my place. It does this three times, and I just learned to let it get its glitches out of its system before I can actually use it. This takes like 30 seconds and then I can scroll normally. But it's very inconvenient. Also, I can't always highlight verses. I click highlight and it just doesn't. If these issues ever get fixed, I would say this is an awesome app. The way to look up study notes is great and easy to use..BubelucyVersion: 2.0.3

✓ A bit clunkyI have the MacArthur Study Bible, so I downloaded this app to be a companion to the Bible itself. It’s nice having all of this at my fingertips when my Bible isn’t handy. But the app is a bit clunky to use. The biggest frustration at the moment is the constant freezing and jumping to the book of Revelation. I thought this was just me, but I’m seeing others mention the same issue. I’ve also found that the app isn’t quite as responsive to touch as it should be. Some icons take several attempts to get them to work. This was the only place to identify issues. Neither the Grace to You website nor the app support page have a method for submitting feedback. I’m hoping one of the developers is watching the feedback and including bug fixes in the next version..GaSeminoleVersion: 2.0.8

✓ Some continual glitches that could be easily remediedAs much as I love the notes of the MacArthur Study Bible, and also much of the look of the layout, I have the same repeated continual problem as I saw at least some others have. Every time I use the app, at some point if I’m reading for long, the app freezes and won’t move; and then when it finally unfreezes, it jumps to the last chapter of Revelation. This generally causes me to switch to a different Bible app bc of the time delay involved, so I generally just defer to a different Bible app to begin with. Also while I’m on the subject, the other little annoyance is in the switching from one scripture location to another. It takes maybe two or three taps on the scripture address to get it to allow you to search another address. I know this can be fixed because the YouVersion app used to do the same thing and they finally fixed that with an update. It was a huge fix. And a little tiny thing is that having to select Old or New Testament is just another unnecessary step that requires an additional click. You can designate the move from Old to New without actually requiring us to select it. Also the Headings for new sections in the middle of books are not in bold and look like part of the text. One example is in the middle of verse 8 of 2 Samuel 19. There is a paragraph switch with a heading title that looks exactly like the rest of the text just stuck right in the middle of the verse..Jordybizzle1Version: 2.0.2

✓ Updates neededI, like many others, love the opportunity to use resources from John MacArthur. The commentary is invaluable for any serious student of the Bible. However, the app is not as sophisticated for the content that it intended to disseminate. There are several glitches still in the app for example: highlighting text isn’t immediately visible; minimizing commentary oftentimes doesn’t function; when the app hangs up on an action, it either goes to Revelation or Genesis; a verse doesn’t move/flow with the commentary, and finally, the app only has 2 Bible versions from which to choose. It is time for a major upgrade/update and I hope it comes soon…please..BoanergeseVersion: 2.0.8

✓ Good but many glitchesI got the app because I like John MacArthurs study notes and it’s great to have my physical Bible in app format. However, the app glitches a lot, taking me all the way to Revelation when I’m in the middle of reading. Highlighting different passages back to back usually resolves in deleting previously highlighted sections. The arrow on the commentary page sometimes doesn’t work, which results in me having to close out the app and starting over. I paid for the app to have full access to the notes and here I am, encountering issues each time I use it. Hence the 3 start rating. This is my second review. The app continues to glitch, moving all the way to the last page of the Bible every time I want to scroll or highlight a verse. It won't allow more then one highlight on a page, but erases the previous ones. The "arrow back button" on the top left on the commentary page, the one that should take you back to the Bible text, hardly ever works. Usually have to close the app and open it again in order to get back to the Bible text. The worst part about all this is, I actually paid for the app and now it's not working properly. Nothing has been fixed or improved, so for now I will delete the app. I hope others don't have the same issues, because GTY and John MacArthur are amongst my favorite Bible tools/scholars..Uiop3847Version: 2.0.8
