✓ An honest opinion that your staff is not going to like.I am VERY concerned for the safety of the MINOR CHILDREN posting nude or almost completely nude content on your app without ANY intervention from moderators. naturally this is or was marketed to children, but a lot of adults have found there way here. i will not disclose information of this girl publicly, but she posted a video in which she was at least topless, however it was censored. another minor child (also, for ages, they are roughly 11 or so for both. that already violates your guidelines.) was seen posting uncensored pictures of her private parts for a brief frame. and scrolling through the comments and seeing (mostly) older men and women encourage their behavior, ask to message them, or complimenting how “sexy” these LITERAL children are makes me feel disgusted, sick to my stomach. i had expectations, naturally. not high ones. but somehow this still managed to not even meet them. please do something about your moderators, they are not doing their job to the best of their ability. work it out. as for other concerns, these children can easily be groomed, used, and abused online via this app due to the, quite frankly, overly lax disciplinary actions taken to protect them. i don’t want to make them seem completely incapable of protecting themselves, but often they can be pressured into sharing personal information such as their address. pros: none, in my opinion cons: everything you just read.Version: 35.0
✓ HonestlyI don’t get all of the positive reviews, I had the app for 30 minutes, maybe an hour and I was completely disappointed. I honestly do not understand the hype. The app reminds me strongly of TikTok, Snapchat, and Byte all clashed together into one app and it’s just a mess. The navigation was difficult and it didn’t feel like it was its own app, which I think is why it was so unenjoyable. There is a certain fluidity that TikTok has captured and that I think Triller was an attempt to recreate but it doesn’t work, and it doesn’t feel the same, more like a poorly made spin-off. Anything you clicked was kind of weird- like, you would click on something and it would have a weird transitioning effect and the only content was ‘verified’ accounts, which was also very disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely understand the app is trying to gain traction by endorsements from popular creators but at the very least they could throw in a single video of someone who doesn’t have a following. I will say that perhaps I’m judging it to harshly, but I feel as though the app just doesn’t feel like its own and I am reminded of TikTok. I get that’s the whole point, but it’s kind of like Vine a certain group of people got to enjoy it and then it was gone. Byte didn’t work out because they were trying to replace something that just simply couldn’t, or more so shouldn’t, be replaced. I think that’s the case here too..Version: 13.2.1
✓ Bad appHave had this app downloaded for a while and have not had a good experience at all. There is frequently inappropriate content on my home page. The UI of the app is clunky and runs slowly. The UI is so bad that it makes it near impossible to have a positive experience on. It’s also a clear rip off of popular app TikTok irrespective of how many times the developers respond to bad reviews advertising their terrible “AI music editor”. Please do not take my word for this bad review, I encourage all readers to download the app and try it for yourself. ✓ To be honestI find this app very similar to tiktok in many ways, some have said it’s a nock off version of it and I see why, look at the page of what tiktok would call fyp or following, it looks almost the exact same and tiktok/ musically has been around a little longer. Many people have said they want the old version back before it was a mini tiktok or before it became mainstream. I don’t mean to be harsh but I am including what others have said as well. Another problem that comes in with this is they only show popular creators in a way the small creators wouldn’t even have a good chance of being seen on this. All of this being said I have nothing against triller and hope it continues to do well but I wish that it would change back to what everyone wants and not be so similar to tiktok. I am a tiktok user myself and don’t think I will put more time onto this app but for the people that like it I hope you can get what you want and have the app that you liked back. ✓ DisappointingAs many other reviews have mentioned yes this is literally just a knock off tik tok. I found that tik tok has gotten toxic so I thought to maybe try this replica. What’s frustrating about it is none of the videos recommended are funny, many in foreign languages. It also seems like majority of videos posted are people just trying to post their mediocre music. It doesn’t seem like many people use the app either as 90% of the videos on my feed have 0-100 likes on them. Even the verified users get less than 500 views, it’s disappointing. The first videos I see should be the apps top videos and the funniest ones, I don’t get how anyone could stay on this app for longer than 5 minutes. Even when I refresh the feed I get a few new videos but a lot are repeats of the same videos. The layout is an exact replica of tik tok, yet it is way worse. Extremely lazily made app. Anyone working on this should just put their energy into creating something original, this is never going to be as successful as tik tok and it’s just poorly run. ✓ Only download if you hate having a good time.I’ve been using this App Store since the first iPhone came out in 2007 and this is the first time I’ve wished that there was a 0.5 star rating option. ✓ 1 star this time aroundI downloaded the app as people keep talking about tiktok but I don’t use it abs didn’t want to follow the masses. I found it so hard to use and there is so many different things across the screen so I already miss half the videos then if I like it that covers up the video with a heart. Looking further into it I found out that the triller CEO once got someone fired after making up false allegations that he sexually harassed female employees, sounds amazingly like Harvey Weinstein. ✓ UnusableThe worst media app I’ve ever used. The ui is disgusting, it’s all overlaid onto the video but also pure white so it often gets lost and unseeable. Sensible apps but the interaction buttons below the vid, or will darken the background behind them but this app doesn’t even have that level of basics down. The home page is all either awful music or boxing promos, like ??? Why boxing?? That’s such an odd genre choice right up front. The search functionality is horrible and never showed me anything I wanted. It’s also split into 3 categories, name, hashtag, and OG sound (??), instead of more competent apps that don’t make me dig through tabs just to do a simple search. It feels like you guys don’t even care if this app is pleasant to use or not. I didn’t even want to bother with actually creating something because of how awful using the app was, but the huge quantity of reviews talking about frequent crashes and draft deletion makes me happy I didn’t waste my time with what seems to be the worst part of the app. Didn’t even mention each tiktok thing takes up your whole screen so you can’t even browse for a good one, just swipe through one at a time until you hate yourself a little less. However it keeps saying error or unrecognisable error. When I arrived there was no Kevin Hart like promised, no fun, no entertainment and certainly no flawless video quality with people even complaining that their screen was flipped. When I looked up the creator of this app, to stare down into the eyes of you have a tortured soul created this pale imitation of tick-tock; I nearly jumped out of my skin I thought I saw a beedy eyes and snarled lip of Harvey Weinstein, but no it was the creator Ryan Kavanagh. Who, incidentally, is accused by his former business partner in the very reputable source of variety magazine, of running a Ponzi scheme and his previous business into the ground. ✓ Rip-Off TikTok desperately trying to get users with false advertisingFirstly this app is clearly based off tiktok, they’ve made no effort to add any creative differences to it in that sense. Second of all, the advert I saw for the app said that Kevin Hart (the famous actor and comedian) was a creator on it; as a fan of Kevin’s this was what drew me to download the app, but upon opening the app and searching for Mr Hart, he is nowhere to be seen. ✓ ReviewApp has many glitches , quality of videos looks blurry (even with great wifi) usually takes a while to adjust and even then the videos still look unclear for the first half while playing ( that’s your uploads and videos of others) . it would be nice if the apps community tab was like tiktok it’s useful to see everyone’s videos , not just vertified influencers in the front of all pages it makes it like ig In a way and not as inviting to the entire community . ✓ Constant problems, poorly coded and no userbase.There are some things I poke about the app, the editing software is fun and easy to use. The problem is there are so many glitches that most of the tools don’t actually work the majority of the time... I think that Triller started with a good idea but coded hastily or hired inexperienced app designers. Also the other biggest problem is the app is basically a ghost town, there’s no to interact with, no content to watch and because of that nothing to do after 5-10 minutes. No “replay” value. Triller, you need to actually listen to people’s reviews and attempt to fix don’t of these glitches. Later that same day, I was SHOCKED to learn that the owner, Ryan Kavanaugh, who if I may say has a striking resemblance to convinced predator Harvey Weinstein, was accused by his ex partner for running a Ponzi scheme as reported in Variety! If this wasn’t bad enough, I believe he has acquired two DUI’s as well. I see he is currently involved in a lawsuit with a podcaster Ethan Klein of whom I do not know but I am sure will win, resulting in bankruptcy. This morning, a little square appeared on my most recent video that read “famous” and I was sooo hype!!! ✓ Read on....No way. Do not buy this app. Drains all your battery and isn’t worth it. First I start off with like nearly 100% battery but after 10 mins, I get an alert saying 20% battery. This also stops the video I’m in the middle of filming. When I click on the add sign and make a music video, I like to make a video right there and not just add a previous video I’ve already taken but it’s so glitchy and half the time it’s frozen. ✓ Hate the changesSo I haven’t been on triller in a awhile. Before I just used to to create fun and care-free music videos to let loose while being stressed in college. Deciding that I wanted to get back to doing some of the things that made me happy and relaxed I re-downloaded the app. To my surprise they changed the way they format your videos after recording. Before I would shuffle my videos and it randomly organized the videos with differ time lengths. It made it look like a real music video and matched up with the music. Now when you shuffle your videos, they are all the same time length. It just makes your video look choppy and unorganized. I know before they didn’t have an option to change the length of individual videos when you went to edit but with all these new changes they could have at least added that. I was looking firward to creating agin but now I have to try to find a new app that can give me what I want. Hopefully they can bring back an option on rather to randomize with either the same or different time length or give the option to change the length of each video to match to the sound used. When I went back into it, all the takes were missing even though it still said I had 900+MB worth of takes in the draft. Then next time I went on the app, the whole draft was missing. ✓ Don't download this app.My friends and I were curious how the app compared to TikTok. So, I decided to download it on my phone. As soon as I opened the app it was SUPER laggy and thought it was my internet. I unplugged my router (I tend to have a lot of problems with my internet) and reset it, that did not work. The videos kept freezing and the quality of the videos looked like they were filmed on a toaster. I continued to try to go through the app and it was just promos of C-list celebrities' music. I tried to find original content from ordinary people who use Triller and couldn't find anything of the sort. It's just a sad app for celebs, who are only on there because they are getting paid. ✓ I’m confusedI asked an apple shop employee to help with installing this app as I was having trouble setting it up myself, the controls appeared reversed. I was asked to wait by a member of staff whilst they fetched an “expert”. The lack of face mask and uniform confused me as this new staff member snatched my phone from my hands before running around the store He waved my phone around, repeating “got your app” over and over. The other staff members didn’t react, when I asked them what was happening they told me that Kevin Hart is no longer using the Triller app but that shouldn’t stop me from trying it out. I looked around at the other customers to find that they were all using the Triller app, controls reversed, and trying to angle their phones in a way that was easier to use, to no avail. The blonde haired boy dancing with my phone was still thrilled with his trophy, gesturing to hand it back to me before jumping off to a different corner of the store. I asked how long he was going to keep this up and he told me that it was “every day bro”. I left the store shortly after as I knew my phone was useless anyway. Once I had downloaded the triller app everything was back to front and impossible to operate. ✓ Awful User Interface.There’s many reasons why Tiktok is more popular and mainstream. No. 1: The owner of their business was not accused of running a ponzi scheme by his ex-partner. PLEASE fix and implement your private message feature. I’ve messaged people and it wouldn’t load me in. Then with a recent update I see that you can’t message anyone at all for some reason. The next feature is to fully save videos to your camera roll. Other apps let you and so should triller. If there’s a funny video I want to send to my friend I want to easily do it by saving the full video to my camera roll. The third feature is a request system. I came after seeing coverage on the Phillip Defranco show and wanting to give the app a fair try. 10 minutes into my experience and I’m finding this to be too much like tik tok, but without the curation abilities. I will swipe through 10 dancing videos trying to find some comedy, and what do I get? 10 more dancing videos. And when I finally do find something I like and give it a like, do I get more? No. I’m forced to filter through more dancing videos. Maybe it’s just the user difference, but I feel like there are funny users on here that maybe can’t get attention because of the app settings. However, after using the app for a few days i became to understand why it’s not liked. it’s promoted that we can interact with popular influencers but most of the “popular influencers” have posted only a video or two, and it becomes apparent that they are not actively using this app. It may be because I compare it slightly to tik tok, but I was let down by the way the app in general functioned. Now you have to scroll for days hoping to find what you’re looking for, & It’s annoying. The videos are shorter, they use to be 30 seconds, now they’re 16. The filters often disappear during playback. ✓ TikTok without a personalityThe app isn't for me. The videos were super generic and uninteresting. Tried to watch for awhile for the app to work out my interests/likes but honestly didn't enjoy a single video. Videos also took awhile to load despite having a fast internet connection. ✓ Annoying problem that pretty much everyone hasI am a person who uses pretty much all social media platforms. As a result, I had to use this one too. However, there is one problem preventing me from using it. Every time I try to upload a video, I am unable to make it public, and it is stuck on private. ✓ Worse Version of Tik TokAs a fan of the TikTok, I downloaded this with the hope of a similar app experience. Unfortunately this app feels clunky to use and does not have the seamless flow that TikTok does. Additionally, the content on this app seems fairly limited. The main content I have been exposed to on my for you page seems to be only verified users, which is vastly different than TikTok, which shows you a wide variety of users on your for you page who could have many millions of followers or as few as 0 followers. When I tried to create a video on the Triller app myself, I had a difficult time with the inversion of the front facing camera; this feature made it a challenge to record a decent video. ✓ I think there’s a bug...I have never written a review on an app before, but I think it’s kind of necessary in this case... I like the app’s features, I’ve made some really cool videos on it. HOWEVER, I had a very similar problem to the other guy that wrote a review. Ever since I downloaded Triller, my phone would just randomly start playing a bunch of music clips back-to-back when nothing was open or on my phone and I wasn’t touching it. I tried everything to get that music to stop and Siri couldn’t even get it to stop! Every time it happened I had to shut off my phone completely and turn it back on. ✓ Far too many bugsI hate that there are times that I gotta close and refresh the app to upload a video. Literally all today, I spent all day making a separate clip(s) to finally finish the project and guess what happened. EVERY SINGLE TIME I went and tried to upload it stopped at 99% and DID NOT upload and it did it multiple times as well. Absolutely annoying. And then I had to delete the app expecting my project I spent all day working on to be there and guess what. PROJECT GONE, why is the project gone.. it should be saved on my phone or in a folder. Both of my projects I had were gone. Bro please fix the bugs in the app, it’s so annoying to deal with the app it makes me not even wanna make trillers anymore. ✓ 1 star app with a 1 star ownerI was excited to use this app as an alternative to tiktok but all the influencers they claim use the app either are boring or only post ads to promote their music videos. The app is also glitchy and takes forever to load. After looking into the company I found out that the co-founder RYAN KAVANAUGH has been accused of many terrible things in court. He is a billionaire bully who misuses his power and money to intimidate and harass anyone who crosses him instead of actually paying his nanny. ✓ Incredibly disappointed. 😡I was so excited to download triller after hearing the incredible line up of people, my personal favourite being Kevin Hart (the Rock’s small friend) and i was deeply upset when i found out that he was not on this app as promised. To say i was upset would be a understatement, i was so upset that i went to see who ran such a dreadful company and was shocked to see that the owner looked just like that fella Harvey Weinstein!!! ✓ Made my son cryMy 9 year old son is the biggest Kevin Hart fan, he has won regional fan competitions so he really doesn’t play around when it comes to his Kevin Hart content. When we heard that Kevin Hart featured on Triller, he instantly asked to get the app. Since he is only 9 he doesn’t have his own phone, so we created an account for me that he could enjoy his Kevin content on. We were sorely disappointed to learn Kevin not only doesn’t have any content on Triller, but he has deleted his account entirely. Sad. I wonder how Triller CEO Ryan Kavanaugh sleeps at night knowing he reduced 9 year old boy to tears? Deleted my account and the app faster than Save The Kids’ value dipped..Version: 33.0

✓ Boring, slow (Un-Biased Review)As soon as you download the app, you see tons of celebrities and music videos, nothing funny or interesting if I am honest. For context, I am an 19 year old. I understand paying celebrities to endorse your app is a great way to get exposure, but the average teenager does not want to see 35 year old celebrities endorsing their products/music videos. After a while of scrolling I realized that the only way to find relevant content to me is to search a hashtag for something I am interested in. The search feature is incredibly slow and laggy and the video previews sometimes don’t load at all. The app overall feels like a boring compilation of celebrities and brand advertisements & is pretty slow. I have an iPhone 13 pro max and I feel as though the app isn’t up to par- technically speaking. If you want teenagers on your app to compete with other short clips apps, consider reevaluating the content shown to us when we first download the app. First impressions are crucial.
