Spark Mail + AI: Email Inbox for Positive User Reviews

Suddenly bugginPlease fix the bugs in the new update! Have never had an issue with this app until now. I can open the app but can not interact with my emails at all as it crashes! I dont want to change to any other app for my emails as this is the best i have found so far To add to this review. The latest update seems to have fixed the bugs which were crashing it! YAY 🎆 thank you!!.Version: 2.9.19

Best email appBest email app, but new widgets are not updating, would be good to be able to see the new emails on the widget without having to open the app, widget only seems to update once you open the app... so I can see there are new messages on the app icon badge but widget on Home Screen says no messages, it only shows what the message is once I open the app to check the new messages, but then it's pointless to have the widget....Version: 2.9.2

Forces you to have “sent with Spark” signature unless you payLook, this is a good email app, and v3 has some nice improvements, but forcing me to append “Sent with Spark” to every single email unless I spend $13/month is just obnoxious. Your upgrade marketing promised all existing features would remain - this is a blatant regression. I was not required to use a branded signature in v2 and now I must. Disappointing..Version: 3.0

Seriously goodI think I’ve tried every single email client that’s come out in recent years - big ones, small ones, ones with heaps of integrations, really lightweight ones, ones with a bit built in to sort your mail, ones that look pretty, ones that are super lightweight. Absolutely none of them come close to Spark. Awesome work, Readdle..Version: 2.0.2

Review of spark appI have finally found an email app that suits all my needs, well done Spark.Version: 1.10

The best email appThis is the one. This is the best email app for managing multiple accounts across devices. I have tried many over the last few years and this is the best app I have found so far. It syncs data well across desktop and mobile app. Notifications are instant for me. I see some reviews talk about slow notifications but that has not been the case for me. I think they have improved something as for me it’s the only app where notifications come through right away across devices. The smart inbox features are great and work well with the unified inbox. I have 10+ email accounts linked to the app and it helps me stay organised. Too many good features to mention. This app is very well thought out and the UI is nice as well. Try it… you won’t look back!.Version: 3.3.5

This app has changed the way I deal with email.I used to always feel the need to get my inbox down to having zero unread emails, going through each one (however unimportant) and deciding whether or not to sort it into a folder, keep it in my inbox, or delete it, and going through my emails became a big way for me to procrastinate and waste time. I now use Spark across all my devices, and I love that there isn’t that little red bubble displaying how many unread emails I have in the corner of the app icon – my “email anxiety” has pretty much disappeared :) I love how easy it is to scan through multiple emails at a time, and the search function is great (accurate and super fast). The only (very small) thing I wish were different is that I would like to be able to more easily permanently change if a certain type of email from a company or organization is specifically a Newsletter or a Notification, and that the system could learn from my preferences and improve how it organizes my incoming emails. But overall, fantastic and beautifully designed app..Version: 2.0.8

It just Works!!I just love Spark because it just works the way an email client should. Most options are just a click away and so many to choose from. Well done Spark team..Version: 2.8.3

Great app, but conversations are the worst!I love the Spark app. So many powerful and useful features. The best one is smart notifications, Spark only notifies you about important emails, somehow it know which ones are non urgent, if by any chance one slips through, you can teach the app for next time! I have 3 stars because Spark groups all email threads into conversations. This must be good for people who like that but I don’t. I find it confusing and messy. A lot of the time when I tap a new email in the conversation, I am presented with one of the old messages and I have to search through the thread to find the latest, this has led to many mistaken replies. For some reason, if I reply to only one person in a thread, the reply comes back with everyone’s name in the title from the original group, this sends me into panics that I may have sent the email to everyone. I really think Spark should give the option to turn of ‘group email threads into conversations..Version: 2.9.23

Wonderful UI UpdateGuys - you have ABSOLUTELY nailed this update. Haters gonna hate - and I have read all the negative comments form those who are aghast that their interface has changed. But Readdle Designers - you have been bold and have made a truly modern interface here and I only hope you know that some people will kick back at the ‘new’. That’s inevitable. For me, this has now become the most polished, most forward-thinking, intuitive, and downright lovely email client in the App Store. Spark is not resting on its laurels. It’s pushing the boundaries - always. And that’s why we should all support this App. At the end of the day, it absolutely BLOWD away every other email app in the App Store - from features and functionality to UI and interaction. Give it 3 months and we will ALL decide this new design is far superior. Bravo, Readdle Team !.Version: 2.5.1

80k emails sortedI feel pretty wild about Spark + AI (iOS) and Spark 3 max. Hope I have that right as I’m new to Spark generally. I had loads of emails that I had signed up to (easy to do isn’t it) and I was missing important messages. Using the new Smart 2.0 interface on iOS and similar on Mac, has dealt with these newsletters and notifications. In just one day I knew where I was with everything. I like how earlier emails are then presented gradually to the inbox view over each day so I can decided what to do with those. It is like I am never overwhelmed. Hands down this is a breath of fresh air. I also have really enjoying using the AI function to summarise long emails. And it is great for composing emails too. Overall this is a huge timesaver and has spared loads of headaches. Looking forward to the Services being added to the Mac interface over time from the previous Spark 2 platform..Version: 3.5.1

Have to wait too long for emails to loadReaddle says that Apple Mail for iOS have access to certain API's that third party developers don't have access too and that's why Apple mail can load emails instantly and Spark cannot. But then I don't don't understand how I can see an entire email in a Spark notification with 3D touch but then I have to wait for that same email to load once I open the app. Also, the design isn't that great. Not bad, but I wish it was more like the Mac version. It's much prettier. But hey it's free right?.Version: 1.11.2

Not what it used to beI’ve had nothing but issues since the 3.0 update. There’s graphical glitches everywhere, marking all as read causes strange refreshes of the whole view instead of just marking the items as read. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app but it’s not fixed anything. All this plus the addition of the premium subscription model is making me look elsewhere..Version: 3.0.2

Great email appI have been using Spark for about a year and have found it very good at handling a large number of email accounts easily. I currently have 12 email addresses set up and it manages them all well. I have been impressed with the fairly regular improvements over the last year, adding lots of new features. I like the easy customisation of the layout and that you can set up easy swipe options to quickly deal with emails. Overall I have been very pleased and will definitely continue to use..Version: 1.10

I Love This AppI’ve pretty much tried all of the email apps for iOS and while I use google business in chrome with a lot of plugins on my desktop, this is my new go to mobile email productivity booster. I was a long time user of Newton but when they “shut” it down I switched to Spark. It has enough features that I can duplicate much of my workflow from Gmail on Chrome. There is a subscription component but that is basically for teams and collaboration not for the email component. The basic free subscription to those features is enough for me but if I can get more of my team using this, I wouldn’t have a problem upgrading to the paid tier. At first I thought, “why would I want to take communication out of the email channel” but it actually works. I can pin the email, collaborate on the question/task without the noise of email. Think of it at a basic level like a Slack channel built into the email. I was over moving to a mobile email app and having the product discontinued or acquired (yes, I’m talking about you Mailbox). Readdle isn’t a one trick pony and has a broad app ecosystem. Needless to say, I highly recommend this app..Version: 2.3.2

Great app, best yet in my experienceI'm a serial email app tryer, only occasionally do I find one I really like. On the iPad, this is it! Performs flawlessly in my experience, snooze and other features really work. It's so good I actually prefer to do email on the iPad. My one wish? Hurry up with the Mac app, and make it as good. I would willingly pay for both. Update 3rd June 2017: the latest version seems to crash at random, but otherwise continues to be good. Airmail is improving though . . . Update 28th November 2017: On my iPad Pro this really is good. I do like email, but it has some strange quirks while Spark seems to go from strength to strength. Better than Mail, really like it..Version: 1.12.4

Nasty bug unresolved after more than 12 months.Much as I would like to give this app 5 stars, I can’t because it had a nasty bug that results in emails from some sources arriving without content. Sadly one of the main organisations I communicate with is one of these. I reported the issue and sent tech data over a year ago and was advised it was a known problem that would be fixed, but sadly that hadn’t happened. The emails come through perfectly in outlook, mail and airmail. Subsequently I have needed to move reluctantly to Airmail which has similar features to Spark but appears bug free..Version: 2.11.11

Best mail app out thereI recently switch from Paid AirMail, and to be honest Spark is way better, faster and no bags!!! Great Job.Version: 2.3.11

Amazing email app - great for EXCHANGEFirst of all, this email app is free and does pretty much everything all of the others do that you need to pay for (E.g. Airmail). The app is light and responsive which is its selling feature to me. Speedy at downloading and sending is key, and this app delivers (which is where Airmail let me down). I use this to check my work email (exchange) and iCloud mail. It does both with ease. The only thing I would change is the ability to turn off threads, but I am getting used to it. I am concerned however that by deleting what you think is the email you just sent and it is linked (through threading) to another email it seems to delete the one I wanted to keep too. Finally a feature I would add is push scheduling (I'm not sure if this is possible on iOS though). So I'd just receive my work emails during the day Monday to Friday and mute whilst on holiday. Overall the best email app I've tried (and tried a lot!), with Airmail 2nd and Outlook 3rd..Version: 1.10

Great! One improvement.Love the app! Use it everyday and it helps heaps. Only one small complaint/ area of improvement...... Having badges for the amount of unread emails in a folder of emails that are automatically directed there, (kind of like the way the Gmail app does it). This would be super helpful as I will often look at my list of folders to see which folders have emails and hence which ones I need to read/ which ones I need to check up on later..Version: 2.9.4

A good email clientTime to time it’s slow in terms of loading emails. Also there are several annoying bugs, such layout of emails can miss margins (content will be hidden outside the borders of a phone) and when I open a notification from the lock screen the client can show the empty body of an email..Version: 2.5.1

Please bring to windows!Over the past 6 months or so, I have tried multiple email clients trying to find anything as good as Spark. Nothing even comes close. Thank you for making such a great product. Please can you bring it to windows though!? My work computer has to be windows and the email clients are killing me! Love your work. I don’t review apps(EVER!), but you deserve it..Version: 2.8.1

Clean cacheHi. Could you please advise how to clean cache in this app?.Version: 2.11.9

Best email client, period.Wow where has Spark been all my life! Honestly, best mail client I’ve ever used and I’ve used a lot. I’m so impressed. Top 3 things. First, I legit only get notified when actual people email me nothing else (first app which has done this feature successfully). Second, I love how it splits up the inbox into different sections to separates the garbage from the actual emails I want to see! Like holiday photos from my family! Lastly, it’s just such a clean interface. It just works. And that’s amazing! So clean, fresh and works with dark mode! Only suggestion it would be nice to see a clearer spot for the reply button cause it took me like 10 minutes to find it 😂 but that could be my own silliness. But it’s great, best email client out there! All apps from Readdle are fantastic, worth the money for the brilliant quality you get! There is not another team of developers I could recommend more than these amazing people..Version: 2.5.1

SadlySadly I’ve reverted to Mail which allows me to NOT use threads which sometimes confuse and even hide emails in Spark. Time this option was included!.Version: 2.1.6.

Used to be free…Great app until they’ve decided to no longer make it free… back to gmail app I go. Edit: after the developer’s response I decided to look more into Spark. Seems like the core functions are all there. I will give it a shot for a while and see how it goes. It’s actually better than gmail, even a simple option to use white background while everything else is in dark mode on my phone. Even apple mail doesn’t allow that..Version: 3.0.8

User Friendly.I recommend this app to anyone..Version: 2.10.12

Great app. Clocks a bit though...I really like Spark. In particular, the smart Inbox feature is amazing. You can review your mail and then pin anything that is important to go back to later. This creates a good buffer system for items requiring additional action while letting you clean out your inbox quickly and effectively. Additionally, it identifies newsletters and displays those separately so you can mark them as read 5 at a time. My only gripe is that it pops up a message on my phone about a new email and then when I go into the app to actually read the message it clocks for sometimes a minute or more before displaying. A suggestion for further improvement would be to add custom or additional selections to “Pin”. For example, it would be great if I could categorize messages as needing a phone call, email, or research. These could be grouped into separate sections, just like pinned items and would prove an easy way to, for example, know who to call first when time permits..Version: 1.10

Super Awesome FabulousI usually don’t review but Spark has made my life very easy and lot of flexibility then using Apple mail. Thank you so much. Highly recommended..Version: 2.8.1

VERY FAST 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Still learning some options of the app so far but it is super, super fast on my iPad then both Gmail and Apple mail all using the same wifi connection. It has already downloaded the emails while the other two are still trying to do it. Hopefully it does not remove all my emails never to get them back without any warning like one of the others did. Yes I like it and recommend it and I have a few of this company’s apps and they are all winners and keepers..Version: 3.3.5

Love love love but….Outstanding work from the Spark team but can I make a little suggestion I would love to see a quick delete option. Where you can tick each email like in Apple mail & have an options button with delete all or other handy options for filing into user specific folders quickly. I find myself doing everything in spark except I jump to Apple mail just for the ease of deleting mail quickly. Other than that high five 🙌🏻 love it!.Version: 2.11.18

Calmed my neurodiverse and PTSD brainI have previously found managing my emails to be incredibly stressful and it could take me an hour just to wade through and then longer to reply so basically all morning….and I don’t work because of my health, so it’s not like I’m having to deal with colleagues or clients emails. Spark has taken away that stress. It really helps sort the wheat from the chaff so that I am then directed to the emails I need or want to respond first and can then look at the rest later if I want to. The AI feature for responding to emails has also been very useful. My ADHD makes me very “wordy”, and this helps me keep my responses to the point and saves me a lot of time into the bargain. I have previously been reluctant to pay for an email platform, because it’s just for personal use. Yet Spark has made dealing with my emails so much more simpler and therefor less stressful that in my opinion it is definitely worth the money. For those on a strict budget there is a pay monthly plan which although more expensive than the annual plan perhaps makes it more “affordable”..Version: 3.5.2

Great mail clientI like this mail client, especially the smart inbox. One improvement I would really appreciate is the use of color to mark messages from different mail accounts..Version: 2.0.16

Fabulous! This is by far the best mail app I've ever used, I wouldn't be without it now! It's nice to be able to block off the unimportant emails (newsletters/notifications) and be able to clearly see the important ones. The snooze functions and new 'set aside' function are great, whilst I've become addicted to the 'schedule send time' so that my emails hit people's inbox's just as they're sitting down at their computer. These features are there in other email apps, but none of them are quite as easy to use or make organising your workflow quite as enjoyable. Minor suggestion: be able to customise some groups of emails in addition to newsletters/notifications, for example if I were organising a party, I might want emails with the subject 'party' to go in to their own section on the homescreen (I know I can do this via smart folders but it's not quite as good)..Version: 3.0

The absolute best app. This is the real deal people! The new update is just all I needed. I finally have my work emails available in a platform VASTLY superior to Outlook. The new widgets look brilliant as well, even better than apple’s ones. You guys did a stellar job :) I’m just really hoping you will come up with Spark for windows and make my email life complete..Version: 2.9.4

Amazing Mail ClientThis is by far the best mail client I ever used. Very organized and neat. Thanks for the excellent work 👍.Version: 2.7.2

Excellent email app!Hey to the wonderful team working on Spark! You’ve done a magnificent job. Seriously. The sync feature is genius and it works smoothly with my iPad. Everything to reminders for certain emails that haven’t been replied to to undoing that email you accidentally sent... awesome. I do have one slightly issue that I’ve looked past because of how awesome and fluid this app is: In rare circumstances there seems to be a sync issue where emails will remain in the inbox as unread on my iPad, but they’re read on my iPhone. Of course I refresh the inbox and whatnot, but in the end it defeats me and I have to ‘read it’. Usually it’s just an email or two, but when it’s several because I haven’t looked at my iPad for a while, it’s just agonising to ‘read’ the emails already read on my iPhone! Otherwise, like I said, this app is incredible. Even with this teething issue that will one day be fixed (I hope!), I love it! Thanks again, appreciate your hard work and keep it up!.Version: 2.9.4

I love it!I'm amazed to see the number of negative reviews the past few weeks. Clearly people are having issues, but my experience is 180° opposite. For me, the new Spark is fantastic. There may have been a crash or two, I'm not sure, but otherwise zero trouble. Spark on iPhone now mirrors the new Spark Desktop app on Mac which has transformed my email experience — and I've tried almost all the alternative apps. The new Spark UI is definitely different and takes a moment to get used to, but it's so clean and minimal. Most powerful for me is the 'Gateway' feature. Unsubscribing to emails rarely seems to work, but Spark's 'Gateway' feature gets rid of unwanted email with a simple click and keeps it away. My inbox no longer floods with junk. And you can change your mind later if you decide you want something after all. I've found Readdle very responsive and open to suggestions. The new Spark still needs to restore some missing features from the previous version, but this is a really solid app & getting better. I love it!.Version: 3.0.6

SparkThis is a brilliant app and I would give 5 stars if it would show the icon of "already replied" on the email list view. All the other email apps that I use have it, so I can't understand why Spark hasn't included this feature on their updates yet. I never know if our office assistant has already replied to our emails or not without having to open the email or go into sent items... There was a new update yesterday and still no icon for email already replied and no update for Dark Mode... This 2 features it's all that's missing in this app to be the best of the best out there and I would definitely give this app 5 stars if we get them. In the meantime, I'm using it to read and write all my emails but have to keep switching to iOS mail app or Outlook app to check if any email has already been replied... Hopefully next update comes quick....Version: 2.3.15

Very good, sensible and reliableThis is a very useful app, and is my primary email manager, since almost everything can be done easily on the go. It’s reliable (even when my email provider isn’t!) and easy and efficient to use. It’s certainly one that I recommend to others. One thing would be really helpful: blacklist/whitelist within the app. It’s rare that something which is a problem actually gets through the spam filters, but the option to blacklist the offending sender should be there in the app. A Block function exists in almost every communication-related app, so am not sure why it’s missing here. There should be no need to switch to a desktop version of a paid app to do something that should be obvious, especially given the target market of professional users..Version: 2.5.4

A Great App that Works Really Well! Why is Spark now displaying a grey background? Whenever I refresh the app, it goes back to normal, but when I open it again a while later, a grey background is displayed. Please can this problem be sorted..Version: 3.5.2

If I had to pick one app to keep, this is itIf I could run Spark on all my devices and machines I’d be the happiest emailer anywhere. Everything works. Quickly, beautifully and easily. And because it integrates so well, I often don’t use my other scheduling apps either..Version: 2.0.7

Incredible with IOS14I felt compelled to write a review as it would seem only Spark is focused on delivering a superb email experience! Having been forced to use outlook for so long now as no other app seemed to compare, Spark has just soared miles ahead of everyone else! There recent update includes much needed support for 365 so I can finally sync my three personal and two 365 business accounts but the best has best even apple to IOS14!! The widgets are superb! I love my new email and calendar one right there on the home screen, no more opening and app and searching for emails or calendar. Well done Spark happy to return and bin outlook!.Version: 2.9.1

Great email app ... Could be the best personal assistant appSupport: Please can you add functionality so that inbox subfolders may be created and managed using the app rather than only via the web platform. Please can you add functionality in the next update such that different email accounts can be assigned different sounds in respect of their new message alerts. --------- I have tested this app out by using it in parallel with iOS mail and Gmail apps. I have now deleted the other two apps and Spark has replaced them as my sole email app. I am really very pleased with it. It is a really smart app with slick functionality. For example swiping between different email signatures is a nice touch. Clearly the calendar function is not the focus of this app's expertise but I wasn't expecting it to be. I have deactivated the calendar. My go to is 24me app which is in the same league as Spark but focused on calendar, tasks and notes functionalities. In my opinion also the best at what it does on the market. Spark is the best email app on the market at the moment for sure. If it merged with 24me/exceeded 24me in functionality then it would be by far the best (and I would wager only comprehensive) personal assistant app out there - and that I would pay money for. Well done developers this is a good app. I hope you will take my suggestion under consideration for the future. I really think it has potential to be a great all in personal assistant app..Version: 2.0.8

Wow where did this come from!Amazing, feels interesting and intuitive right away. Cleared my pending emails quickly and efficiently, makes emails fun almost! With Gmails Inbox app going away, there is really no competition to me. Even Outlook, while getting better, is not a patch on Sparks features or more importantly customisation..Version: 2.3.2

Slow to open and crashes while archivingI manage three email accounts with moderately high email traffic. Spark will regularly give me a new notification but opening the app takes several seconds to fetch, update, and display the email list. Opening a notification directly will almost always display an blank email view and closing the view after 10 or 20 seconds will take me back to my last app forcing me to open Spark again and wait for the emails to be fetched again. Attempting to archive an email is a coin flip between whether it will succeed or crash the app. I can wait a few seconds after opening an email before archiving to improve the success rate but this is a slow process when I have 20 emails to read and file away. I like the managing my emails with Spark, but this experience could be dramatically improved with better performance and fewer interruptions to my workflow..Version: 2.3.12

Best email app + + +Readdle has added even more features into this beautiful delight to use. As well as handling many types of email accounts, it gives access to secondary iCloud accounts without hassle. Feature-rich, customisable, intuitive. Choice of browsers and great sharing. Clear privacy principles. Quality in keeping with all Readdle apps. Desktop app equally wonderful. I would like to be able to turn off conversation view..Version: 2.0.5

So many great features. Better than gmail app for gmailThere’s a lot of positives. Snooze is awesome I can’t imagine email without it but there’s one thing that’s been getting to me. The app is about 65MB but it uses close to 1000MB all up on my phone? Why? I have a 16GB iPhone and I’m really annoyed. Wish there was a clear cache button or some setting to choose from speed up search or use less space. I did not get why it needs to use up so much friggen space! Still a 5 star app even with this issue. Used mailbox before this and I doubted this app could become better but it has..Version: 1.12.8

Brilliant email clientLove this company - Readdle - love their products, especiallyu Spark email. Also love and admire their country - Ukraine..Version: 3.3.5

Still the best email app- overall, great UI/UX design - Great focused inbox simplifies life so much - Pinned emails - a real life saver - Great search - really good indeed - Great email composition - Simpler selection and deletion or archive features than most Terrific account management and settings control - Teams features that are powerful but which don’t get in the way for solo users - Slightly average calendar which could be improved a lot but doesn’t hurt the experience - Older unread emails shouldn’t appear in the unread section. Should be able to set a ‘not older than’ filter..Version: 2.11.16

My Selected Mail AppI have tried many email apps as an alternative to a rather bland, but stable, Apple Mail. Purchased many; they looked so good. But every one developed one or more operational issues where I had to abandon them. I needed an iOS app which had a Mac app. When Spark came around, it just clicked. Features were great, functionality good, and was mostly, but not always, stable. This forced me to consider and then actually abandon Spark. Each time, I gravitated back to Apple Mail where the same blandness frustrated me. Communicated with Readdle and went back to Spark with numerous updates. Finally settled on Spark and it has mostly been wonderful to work with. An occasional quirk makes me wonder but still I stay. It is free but that isn’t the criteria which makes them my go-to Mail App.....I would gladly pay $20 or so for it. I do have other Readdle apps and find them all to be outstanding. Hope this helps. It isn’t perfect; nothing is. But its functionality has won me over with their increased stability and presence of a MAC app..Version: 2.0.2

Loved it from day one of inceptionThe day I was contacted and introduced to Spark I became completely enthralled with it. I made several folders and became organized fairly quick. In fact, I ditched Gmail, Apple Mail to go with Spark only. The one problem that has occurred, Spark became better with a much needed upgrade to block unwanted spam mails. The problem is, the cost. I am operating on a tight, almost no budget. Extra income is coming from various sources in which I need to keep junk out of emails to see immediately the important ones that come in. I had truly wished, since I was first contacted to try Spark by the company, that I would be able to take advantage of these extras without cost. And then promote to others of how great it works. Other than that I would have given 5 Stars. I do understand the need for companies to make money, I do, but I finally must try to find something else similar to Outlook to use. In conclusion you have made a great email service..Version: 3.2.3

RevolutionaryI love playing with apps. I love finding new ways to do things. I’ve never come across an app that revolutionises anything as much as Spark does for email. Stop reading my review and download this app. Delete your stock mail app and Slack because this app does both. Oh, and their customer support is amazing too..Version: 2.6.1

The best mail app by far! But.....Okay this is in fact one of the best email apps out there! I love the grouping of the emails by category and how it allows you to delete those emails with one swipe. Especially comes in handy when I get the newsletters with all these deals and sales from retailers and just want to get rid of them quickly. The UI is great, the ability to write up an email and have it sent at a predetermined time is fantastic, but best of all, the Snooze feature is awesome. Yeah I know that many other email apps do it but Spark does it better.... My ONLY COMPLAINT isn’t really a complaint. It’s literally the OCD in me. I hope I don’t sound picky but... when I read all my emails and exit the app, the badge number still shows I have unread mail. I go back into the app, see no emails, back out a second time and THEN the badge is gone. This app is a 9.8/10 for me. And I promise it’d be a 10/10 if that gets fixed :) still one of the best email apps... if not THE best.Version: 2.3.2

With Spark I conquer my emailsI love this app. Before, I was drowning in promos, newsletters, notifications and couldn’t see the important emails. This left me feeling worried I was going to be bitten by something I missed. But there were so many emails it was a big job just to check my emails each day. I would unsubscribe but I still had tons. Spark changed that. I can now flick a switch and see the important emails from people I know. I can check and be up to date with the important and urgent things and read my other stuff at my leisure. I now respond quickly to things. I can quickly clear my inbox and delete emails I don’t have time to read or are not interested in. Notifications are deleted in groups. Yay! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it crashed on my iPad and I have had to delete it. :-( It still works on my phone. Thankfully. I would be very upset to lose it totally. Bottom line: life changing app! Thanks Spark..Version: 2.9.23

Lovely design, good feature set... almost perfectI’ve tried a lot of mail apps too. I tried this a while ago, didn’t like smart inbox, moved to airmail and then Edison mail. After some bugs from Email I tried this again, and updates have moved it on. It’s easy to toggle between regular and smart inbox, deleting is easy (something many email clients bury in favour of archiving), it looks clean and easy to read. I like to file emails in folders for when search doesn’t work (and it doesn’t when you want to find that email from your mum - or maybe your sister - who mentioned something you can’t remember the name of in the middle of a bunch of other stuff...). My favourite feature of Spark is the filing auto-suggestions, which are spot on 85% of the time (basically when you’ve filed something from that sender before). However, my biggest missing feature - and why it only gets 4 stars - is the ability to easily create a new folder. I don’t think you _can_ do it from the phone app, which is a big drawback for me..Version: 1.12.4

Wow!This is the best mobile email tool I have ever used. I was looking for one that has better search ability than the Microsoft Outlook app I was using for some mail accounts on my iPhone. This has that and so much more. I wish I had tried it out a long time ago. Highly recommend. Thanks for the great app!.Version: 2.11.15

Clean & straightforwardAfter trying various bells and whistles email tools I was attracted to SPARK. I have been using it for quite a while now and feel more comfortable with it every day. The way new emails are presented then filed automatically under email address and to be able to respond with minimal input, appeals to me. Many contacts deserve to have confirmation that an email has been received, but with other email tools time available means putting off a reply sometimes meaning the reply gets forgotten. With SPARK two taps can mean instant reply which can be followed up later. I recommend giving it a try. After playing with options you will soon slip into SPARK`S comfort zone..Version: 2.0.8

Paid huh?Well I’ve been enjoying spark for years and loved it’s versatility and price tag. Along comes Spark Desktop and now the mobile app has Smart 2.0 and wants 60 bucks a year. I was tempted as I love the app, but I’ve made numerous donations to Ukraine and once to the suggestion of their support staff whom I asked how I could donate - it feels wrong to introduce new features that are basic features in other mail apps like “mute” in google, which I have to pay money for now? Spark had more features than any mail client back in the day by a LONG shot, and even though I feel like it’s more of a money grab than an R&D enhancement, today I succumbed to the yearly fee. I’m not one to really care for some of the newer features and layout options they are presenting - and feel I should speak with my wallet by not paying the yearly fee, but I do want to support them and hope by leaving a 4 star review that they will read that the interface is pretty outside my liking and to rethink things for a 3.0 release. It’s my daily driving mail app - even if it’s just on classic mode most often..Version: 3.2.9

Pleasing to the eye and easy to useWorks well. Does what it says..Version: 1.12.4

Rarer than hen’s teethThat’s my reviews. Something has to be really special for me to review it. Spark is that special app. In many years of using many many apps on the iOS platform this is the most mind blowing app I’ve ever seen. I keep wondering what’s happened to all my emails - what used to take a long time to process is now just a few clicks. I reckon I’m saving at least two hours a day now I’m using Spark. Not only that but it’s hugely intuitive, integrated with file systems and more powerful than anything else I’ve seen. Today I wanted to email two PDF invoices. I’d never done this with Spark before however in about ten seconds I had worked out how to do it and sent the email. It was that obvious and that simple. What could be better? Give me Spark for Mac and for Windows 10 (on a Surface Pro) so I can use it wherever I am. Spark is what iOS Mail always should have been. Great work guys..Version: 2.0.4

Great appI love spark mail It is so easy to keep my mailbox organised! Goodbye overloaded mailbox! Thanks a 5 star plus app!.Version: 1.12.6

Has changed my outlook on emailTHANK YOU!!!!! I’ve been using spark for a few weeks now and I’m in love. I knew what I wanted from an email client but I thought it didn’t exist. I wished I would’ve been using spark YEARS ago. So many emails were getting lost because of my lack of motivation for email and now I’m back in business. I’ve always wanted to be a zero inbox kind of person but the task was so overwhelming. Spark has made it easy and I’m much more focused. I love the snooze feature because before I sometimes needed time to think about a response but I inevitably the email got lost. I’m a business owner so I should respond to emails in a timely way so this has really helped me retain more clients and keep up with email tasks. This really helps me focus when I get interrupted with an email or just need a little more time to think about my response but don’t want to forget about responding (which is what use to happen!) I also love how I can schedule my emails to look more professional sending them more at “business hours”. Email use to be this scary and terrible thing that I had to do, now it really is fun and enjoyable..Version: 2.3.8

Superior Email ExperienceI rarely leave reviews, but Spark simply blew away my expectations. Email is no longer something that happens to me but rather a process that I fully control. I’ve tried nearly every major email app (including Outlook add-ons), but Spark was a clear winner. As a project manager, I was struggling to keep my email organized, particularly in regard to following up when my clients did not respond. Spark provides the best platform for this tracking. As a bonus, I have a better mobile email experience than Outlook. The design feels so thoughtfully created, almost making the email experience fun. The calendar functionality compared to Outlook is very lacking (no availability view, limited Zoom integration, no week view on mobile), but that’s not a big deal as the email experience is so great. I found that the best setup for me is Spark for email and Fantastical for calendar/reminders, allowing me to fully replace Outlook and work much more efficiently..Version: 3.2.9

Make email great again!! 😂Ok so I was very skeptical of another email app. I have way too many emails coming in and in the matter of a week I’m over run with over 500 emails I haven’t cleared. This is truly a game changer. The way it handles emails from real people or emails from applications or emails from newsletters, is...BRILLIANT!! I’m once again able to turn on email notifications but yet get notified on only the emails that matter. If I don’t like the default categorization of an email, I can change it or perhaps just make sure I get notifications from that particular email sender. The “snooze” button is amazing and now that I’ve started working with the team function, this has opened up a new world for my business and co-workers. Thanks for making such a great app. All the complaints about sync issues and other features not working properly are old reviews. Look at how amazing it it now and I bet those bad reviews would be much higher now if they tried the app again..Version: 2.9.4

Losing its magicI have been a Spark user for a while and it’s been reliable and valuable product. I don’t mind that they switched to a subscription. It’s just not realistic to expect developers to charge one fee and give free upgrades ever after. However, Spark v3 has been a significant irritation. Email displays are corrupted requiring an app restart and the latest v3.0.5 update is quite unstable and keeps crashing. I hope they fix things soon, otherwise I might kiss my subs money goodbye and go elsewhere. Update I suppose I should be impressed that the developer bothered to respond, but I’d have been impressed if he had read my review carefully and realised that I have taken out a subscription and was not complaining that something had been taken away. I am complaining because they have made the product less reliable. Spark is flakey. It often freezes on my iPad and Smart 2.0 is annoying. I am mostly use Smart 1 or Classic, but they managed to break in those interfaces as well..Version: 3.2.3

Fantastic Customer Support!Readdle’s Spark email app is fantastic in its own, but what makes me able to recommend this app to anyone, is the fact that they have a world class customer service organization. I should know, I was trained in regards to how one should operate. Rest assured that if you log an issue or have a question, that your item will have a ticket generated within minutes, and a person assigned within a reasonable time. I’ve generated a few myself, and they always reach out via email via a ticketed tracking response. And they also follow up with you to determine satisfaction, once the ticket has been resolved one way or another. There are very few software organizations that perform in this manner and it’s for this reason that I can recommend Spark. In my view, it doesn’t matter how good your software is, if the support standards for interfacing with customers is lacking. Readdle’s customer support is world class from this customer’s perspective..Version: 3.7.3

Best App for searching emailsAdvantages - - Very Very best app for searching old emails with any keywords( tried a lot of other this is best in world) - even outlook mail doesn’t do this level of search - dark theme is best Disadvantages - After IOS 14 update phone based reminder missing ( that’s the other feature I like) - still missing calendar support for outlook mails - very slow downloading new emails - sometimes mails do not send while using exchange config in this app..Version: 2.9.9

Best email client ever!I wish I could have this app long time ago. This email client is very easy to use and access all the different types of email in one place. It’s very intuitive and easy to customise layout. Thank you for providing this beautiful app..Version: 1.12.4

No support for a bad program updateI love spark “when it works”. When it doesn’t work like this latest update there is no where on their developer website to find out what is the problem. I come here and find out several other people are having similar buggy problems. Why is that? The only other way to get answers is through email which takes over a week to get a response and even then it provides no real support. Because I rely on email to keep my correspondence professional I can not use a program that is unreliable when it isn’t working. It creates problems that are problematic to those i communicate with. This is the second time in recent memory that a major update has failed miserably for Spark. Please fix and in the future please think about your users so we can get answers other better than complaining about them here. I may be forced to go back to using Mail or *gasp* outlook..Version: 2.9.5

Great all rounder email client for demanding needsI've been using Spark for quite a few months now. I've found this to be quite easy to use and dependable - it displays the conversation threads beautifully so that it's easy to get the complete story quickly just scrolling up and down when one has only few moments to spare. The app can bring your multiple accounts in one place and can use a smart email box feature to filter out the important conversations for your convenience. Personally I have preferred to use the more conventional mailbox by mailbox view though but that was more of a personal preference. I used the pin function too so that I keep an eye on the important conversations. I specially liked one feature that was quite useful for me - it's the delayed delivery of your emails. I have used this extensively and it works like a charm. For my particular requirement, I don't want to send my recipients emails over the weekend however I generally clean up my inbox over the weekend (weekly review those of you are familiar with GTD). This feature is a lifesaver for me. Great job guys! Keep up the great work..Version: 1.12.1

Did not expect to keep using this...I've always preferred to use the stock app if possible, but with a very recent bug with Apple Mail in iOS 14 that resulted in my FROM aliases to be chosen seemingly at random, I had no choice but to try something else. Other mail apps don't do from-aliases well (including Outlook). Spark has really impressed me by keeping the experience very similar to Apple Mail, while providing some very convenient but subtle improvements. iOS 14.1 reportedly acknowledges the alias bug, but now I really find myself liking Spark! Some really convenient features include syncing all your accounts and changes between devices, showing tiny coloured markers next to mails from other accounts (I would normally never use the "all mail" view), saving a PDF of your mail, etc. I don't care about the team-oriented features, and this is still an improvement over Apple Mail!.Version: 2.9.9

Spectacular spark!I really like that merging email accounts is easy to do and all of your email shows up in one spot & you can tell what account it's from!.Version: 1.9.1

Nothing Like The Other Mail AppsI’ve far too many mail accounts in my life, all needing daily attention. I’ve been fed up with Mail on both iOS & OS X for a while but it works so I always default to it after trying out other apps. I’ve got Outlook because I have to support it but I find it a cumbersome, awkward beast. So, in idle moments I go looking for something better. The world certainly isn’t short of indistinct email clients and I reckon I’ve seen most of them in my time so I wasn’t expecting much from Spark. I’m not not one for writing reviews. I’ll usually just rate an app and move on but Spark has made such a great difference to my days that I need to share. It’s far from being indistinct. Setting up accounts is a breeze. The Smart Inbox & Notifications filter out the noise and let you get on with the important stuff. It looks cool, like a modern app should. The Quick Replies are handy and easy to personalise. Easy connecting to Dropbox & other services. So easy to use it’s now on my desktop and iPad. I don’t use anything else for my own accounts. Two gripes give it four rather than the five stars: iCloud settings sync seemed to be loosing accounts I’d setup on my desktop. Frustrating while I worked out what was happening. Had to set them up on my phone before they appeared on all devices. Sometimes invoking Touch ID is a little slow. Otherwise, Spark is a fantastic tool and has got me happily dealing with my digital mail mountain..Version: 1.12.1

Fantastic easy to use app!I've been trying to find an alternate to "mail" and "outlook" for so long, finally i have a something that's easy to use with a beautiful interface. The only hard part I had was syncing on all of my devices, the first time i tried to log in it continued to "load" without actually logging me in, I managed to find a work around for it and even with that small issue in setup it didn't deter me from this app. I love it! If anyone is looking for an app that is, easy to use, ability to integrate all your accounts and even schedule reminder emails... you won't regret this one!.Version: 1.8.4

Great Way to Manage EmailYour decision to penalize an entire nation based on information that could possibly be incorrect due to our terrible news reporting system in the US, it’s detestable and shameful on your part. You are a company that delivers a service not opinions. Your opinions on political issues are not warranted and should not be displayed in this area. This was a bad move by you. I respect your feelings regarding family and friends stuck over in Ukraine and their safety. I reread my review and although asked to change my review, I stand behind my words yet I have taken some words out and raised the star rating. I have always liked this app as a great email app for years that I have been using it. Plus, just last week you contacted me regarding an issue I had months ago. You emailed me to let me know that the recent Spark update had also fixed that problem! I was so happy that I was remembered in this issue. Now that’s a good customer service company. I was only going to raise you to 3 stars but this recent development added another causing you to get the more comfortable 4 star rating!! Congratulations! You earned it!.Version: 2.11.16

Really goodSpark makes taking care of the clutter really easy. My inboxes have never been more empty! I love this app..Version: 2.1.4

AMAZING App has revolutionised our email and our businessThis app has completely revolutionised our business the use of templates has meant we can deal with 80% of our emails with just two clicks. This application not only speeds up how you send emails but also filters out most of the stuff that slows you down from Spam to newsletters. This is without a doubt the best email application I have ever come across. Only run a small two man business but I have to tell you I don’t think we could do it anymore without this app it is just brilliant started using it as a test and within a week and ditch all other email programs and I’ve tried pretty much all of them. Highly recommended !!!! Amazing.Version: 2.10.5

Great app - updated reviewVery impressed so far. Nice customisations, shows different email accounts separately, easy swipe options for deleting and moving, and it puts the most likely folder at the top of the list when you move an email to a folder. Very neat. I just wish I could turn off threads - Outlook is the only one I have tried that does this. An update after a few months... I love Spark. I don't need a really complex email client and have tried the most popular ones, but Spark's integrated inbox, easy moving to folders, pins and a few other bits and pieces mean that I will be looking no further. Another update... I had a problem with the links between Spark, OneNote and OneDrive, which I reported. I have had several replies from Readdle, requests for more info and tests, progress updates and finally a beta to test. They have solved the problem. Outstanding support from them! I could not have asked for more. And it’s still a great email app..Version: 2.5.6

Great app butThis is a great app but PLEASE enable unthreading. It should be up to the user to decide if they want to use it - and I don't, but can't disable it. Irritating. Otherwise great mail app..Version: 2.6.1

It is very functional and organizeThe application make me do my searches easy including using the filters to see the most interest, yes.., but when participating on live auction everything happens to fast on the last seconds that the process just make me be disorient and also something goes wrong with the time that I was out for near 5 minutes. The watch list is good, but not manage it. Removing items that are group by any of the tags suggested just make the watching list to return to the original stage reloading, what’s probably necessary, but uncomfortable. Finally, what makes me feel real bad of its is the reloading when you return back to it after changing for another iPhone apps or from lock screen. It just reload on its default home screen, which may be correct, but I lost what was looking before. Yes return to watched items may resolve the problem, but always. I am sorry, to put all of this here, it should goes to customer support or another place, but not sure where. Don’t get me wrong, I use it a lot..Version: 2.3.2

Good App, sending still has issue.Sending email with tencent exmail still not working..Version: 2.0.3

Easily the best email app. This is by far the best email app for iPhone and macOS. It has great exchange support which is mandatory for me to be using. Love it!.Version: 2.5.6

Best Email AppSimply Amazing... Great UI, Free to use and formats emails perfectly.Version: 2.5.6

One of the best email clients everThis app has made managing large volumes of email easy. Combined with a good rules engine, like Gmail, it sorts stuff easily. Other reviews complain about stuff, because this works a bit different. Read the how to and FAQ if you get stuck and you'll be amazed at how quickly it corals your inbox. Power tip, edit the default settings to meet your needs, snooze and reminders don't have to be the defaults, and the ability to focus on one email account or see all is a breeze too when you need to focus. As to development, suggestions and updates are taken on board and flow through with regular updates. Well done Readdle, an excellent product!.Version: 2.5.0

ParfaitLe pari est tenu : j’aime à nouveau consulter mes mails..Version: 2.5.1

BrilliantI was looking for an email client that was supported on Apple Watch and was able to print emails. The only one I found that could do this was the apple stock mail. As I am using gmail this wasn't to clever on my Apple Watch, so, I kept looking then I found Swift. It was free, supported both Apple Watch and printed; and guess what even calendar was supported and being I use google Callander and sync iCal this was great because even , online storage was supported. Definitely the best iOS email client you can get. Also there's even a macOS one to. Keep the good work up Swift. All for free. One thing I think should be added and that’s only one minus against a lot of plus’s and that’s the addition of an attachment reminder to emails , so, you don’t forget to add an attachment. (We’ve all done that at least once) :-).Version: 1.11.1

Stand with UkraineThat’s awesome to see you guys choose to change the icon to voice your support. Thank you!.Version: 2.11.13

Love this app, but there is one thing.I have been using the Spark app for a couple years now and really love it. The best feature for me is the ability to snooze emails until a given date. The reason I can’t give it a 5 is that there is one thing I wish they would fix. That is the inability to view emails full screen while in landscape view. The email list takes up a third of the screen. I want the email list out of the way like portrait view. Other than that, 5 stars..Version: 1.12.4

Mostly ExcellentI'm writing this because it was requested by Spark. I have tried most of the apps out there that work across iOS and Mac OS platforms and Spark is the one I always seem to come back to. I use multiple email addresses with multiple folders in each and Spark is clear and easy to use for the most part even for the non techie (me!). It is feature rich and I especially use the Pinned Message and Snooze features, they are really handy for me. There is one annoyance which I wish they would sort out and that is that you can't create a folder in Spark (not in iOS at least, not sure about Mac OS) which means that you have to use a different client such as Airmail or Mac Mail to do this. The folders then appear in Spark but it would be so much better if you could just do this seemingly simple thing without going to a different app. Overall it is probably the best out there in my opinion as it is not as cluttered as Airmail and not cost preventative like Newton which is great but ridiculously priced. Just need the folder issue sorting out.....!.Version: 2.0.2

Very good app overall. A few bugsHave been using this app since soon after the initial release. Overall it outperforms any other email client I have used for iOS, and is enjoyable to use. The layout and user interface work well, and updates have progressively improved the app (one recent example was the way emptying the deleted mail went from being a process with a prolonged continually refreshing icon (until complete), to an immediate process with background action from the server. The standout unique feature from my perspective is the predictive filing system, which automatically shows the most likely folders to choose from when moving items from the inbox to a folder. There is a bug with calendar events which extend beyond midnight - such as shift work - not displaying correctly (sometimes appear as two separate items in the wrong position on the calendar despite showing the correct time, or just displayed as all day events instead of correctly displaying as a time period). Still - having a combined calendar is useful..Version: 1.12.5

Simply the bestThis is it, your ultimate inbox. I have multiple accounts because I have dedicated use for each of them. Before Spark a synchronised inbox between the accounts never quite worked - I always had to sift through for a missing email in the spam box, find that I have to login multiple times for an account less compatible with bigger platforms like outlook or gmail, and between devices the apps were never up-to-date and found myself deleting and reading the same emails again and again. The interface is great, nothing to add, nothing to take out. The experience is pure joy..Version: 2.8.2

I've tried the rest, and this...... is actually the best email client. I have it now as part of Setapp thankfully, because I think I'd go broke to keep Spark's simple and effective mail filtering. When you've been on the internet for decades, your emails get passed around on ever spammer's spamlist. But equally, when there is signal in the noise I want to never miss it. Spark enables this with the minimum amount of effort and input from me, and I feel constantly on top of my email. You need to at least TRY and see if it's right for you. Because when I say I've tried the rest, I mean it. Canary, Airmail, macOS Mail, eM Client, Thunderbird, Microsoft Outlook Express (haha ok now I'm kidding, sort of, but I was on that for years). Do as this millennial boomer tells you and let Spark make launching your email client feel less like a masochistic cry for help. :).Version: 3.4.2

I won’t even lie it’s better than GmailSo I started using Spark for work as they required me to use it for emails. I eventually ended up leaving that job and I still use spark! It wasn’t Until I got a computer(I only use spark on my phone) and realized that emailing in general just felt so off without spark 🤣. Easy to use, very nice looking, highly accessible and clutter free. I think the main point is how it categorizes everything in a unique way. There is also a “erase page” feature so you can erase every email on a page instead of having to manually click one at a time. It just feels scores more smoother and responsive compared to other emailing services including gmail! I 100% recommend Spark ESPECIALLY if you are in college. God does this app make schooling a lot easier. I also see some reviews about spam being an issue and not being handled properly by the app and from my experience I haven’t had an issue with that but it seems many have so I’m sure it is an issue. I also haven’t had an issue with being logged out randomly or not getting emails. I’ve used it for 2 and a half years so I can’t really say anything on those points and it’s hard to say if it’s actually a spark issue or something wrong with a persons device. I personally have had 0 issues with the app..Version: 2.9.24

Almost Perfect - Dark Mode Has A Long Way To GoI love this, it helped me clear out thousands of irrelevant emails that have been haunting me for months. I love the search features and smart folders that let me combine folders from different emails together which was the main thing I wanted from an email client. But the dark mode is the worst of any of the half dozen or so email clients I’ve been experimenting with as part of a New Years resolution to get myself together when it comes to email. I didn’t realize how important dark mode was to me until I saw the results of how much battery it saves and now I think it might be a deal breaker for this app. I see most emails coming through as awkward bright white blocks against a dark background (not just newsletters, pretty much every single email I get which is just some plain text and a signature) and even when that doesn’t happen, black text almost never turns white against the dark background. It’s making dark mode difficult/awkward and the black mode practically unusable. I hope this gets better..Version: 2.5.1

Real smart mail appI’ve never wanted to install any other 3rd party mail app. But, I have a trust to readdle apps which didn’t failed. Spark is an owsome mail app, smart enough to recognise date info to add on calendar automatically. (Seemless workflow with calendars 5) I like the new mail alarm sound. Simple but most effective user interface. No longer need to travel between gmail-outlook-mail for any specific feature on their own mail. I’m happy to give 5 stars..Version: 2.1.6.

Fantastic developerI use their document app as the best file manager, pdf editor as the name says and now this spark as probably on par with my pc’s outlook .....Nevertheless it is a iOS app but it still much more elegant and capable than some crappy mail reader.....these developers sure know how to make an app....i am big fan of their document app more than anything....it has everything like video player, music player, pdf editing, browser, addons, icloud, gmail , one drive integration. I would love to have spark included in the document app as well....spark is good as a standalone app but i also want it in documents app ss well....Document is like what itunes used to be in Macbook....all in one....However, itunes was cluttered and sluggish but this app is so butter smooth.Version: 2.6.1

Potential for the futureThis is impressive however, it's not quite there yet. I have been using Spark for a couple of weeks now and I really like it but for work, it’s not quite good enough. • I have to reactivate Apple Mail to view some attachments and that totally negates the whole point of having Spark. Sometimes it will open a word or PDF document and sometimes it won’t. I know Apple Mail will always open them. • Navigation could be slightly better, particularly where deleting emails is concerned. • I have been unable to work out how to creat new folders or sub-folders in the mobile app version and again, I have had to run back to the Apple app to do that. • Loading old email in subfolders for the first time is very slow in both Spark and Apple Mail but it’s excruciatingly slow in Spark. • I don't use it on a PC so I have no idea how good the PC application is. • I have found the predictive folder, or ‘Move’ application to be a little more intuitive than that on the Apple Mail app but it is a tad slower. • Spark looks good and I have enjoyed using it. Unfortunately its not quite there yet and I do not need to have to keep flicking between email applications. Sparks does some things better that Apple Mail but Apple mail does everything I need and Spark does not; not yet. I’m sure it will get there and I’m pretty sure it will be awesome when it does..Version: 2.0.6

Exchange calendar but Where has this app been all this time?I am speechless. Before I started using this app on my Mac and iPhone I used the Outlook app. It was okay and it kind of got the job done. This app meets every flaw/bug the Outlook email app had except for one thing! I would really appreciate if you would make the app compatible with the Exchange Calendar on Mac and on the iPhone app but mostly on the Mac. I really enjoyed having all of that in one place on the on the Outlook app. It was seamless and very fluid. As an Exchange Calendar is the only Calendar I use I still use the Apple stock calendar app which to me isn’t all that great. If you could put your own great Readdle twist on your calendar in the spark app it would really help me and I’m sure some other people too!! There is one more suggestion, you should implement a voting system for what features you customers really want/need in the app but still keep the email services. I think it would lighten up your load on email reading and get the job done. Just a thought..Version: 2.0.11

Is good should be betterSince the recent redesign of which there have been many many many there is now no longer a way to hold emails for multiple delete. All that comes up is the options to action individual email. Delete is a prime function for an email app as is bull edits or actions. Yes the other features are good but not being able to edit an incoming email list with multiple deletes. This is basic. Maybe add a button to the slide to pin? Or a bottom toolbar with an edit or select multiple option. Other than this let’s talk about the calendar access... so far in tour redesigns it’s been in the header, in the footer, as a floating radio button to the left, in the hamburger menu. Someone needs to tell your designers to stop. Seriously UI people understand this constant moving of a basic feature is maddening. Why should I have to relearn the app every time you up date? That’s counter intuitive and not user friendly. So functionally a good app at the moment ruined by the tyranny of UI / UX devs who can’t understand basic consistency of UX.Version: 2.5.0

My favourite email appSwitched to it a year and half ago and reviewed it very positively after 6 months using it. One year later I keep finding it the best email app on iOS ahead of Mail, Gmail and Mailbox. I manage 5 different email addresses and it is easy to keep control on all my emails particularly the most important ones, thanks to the way the intelligent inbox helps organise them. I like the additional features like the possibility to save attachements to Google Drive or Dropbox, or saving emails for later action. Highly recommend a trial for those with multiple email accounts and using Google Drive..Version: 1.9.1

Good, just not greatSpark has been a goto for me for a long time. There are heaps of features that make it a fantastic app, one of the best. There is unfortunately one feature that will occasionally cause me to uninstall it and use something else, and that is when the badge shows you that you have unread email but when you open the app and there is nothing there. This is because you then have to refresh / download the new mail, something g other apps don't force you to do. It's only a small thing, but it frustrates me every time. If Spark would download unread emails so they are ready when I go into the app, then display the badge, I'd be giving it a 5 star rating..Version: 1.11.2

Still the best but getting frustratedI’ve tried a whole lot of email apps and this turned out the best (even in version 1). I should have realised that Readdle would make the best - it is pretty close to perfect. It does snoozes well, moving to folders well and syncs between iOS devices. But I’d hoped that more than 2 years are making a very reasonable request they would have made an attempt to allow photos to be sent inline instead of as an attachment. This still isn’t there and I return to Airmail for this one thing. I’m sure it can’t be hard to do inline pictures as even Apple mail does it. I’m still using it but it’s getting frustrating..Version: 2.0

Slava UkrainiGreat app. Slava Ukraini!.Version: 2.11.13

Almost there, butThe feature suits most of my needs; the interface is smooth and elegant. Spark has been a happier fit than Newton, which it replaced in my workflow and even than Mailbox, which Newton’s earlier incarnation replaced. I appreciate the coordination with Gmail labels, too, though that could be more robust. The two shortcomings that most affect me were both noted to the developers long ago. First, there is no starring system, only pinning. Pinning isn’t practical for more than a few items at a time else the folder becomes burdened with clutter. Starring makes it easier to find archived information when needed, without having to sift through dozens of emails containing similar subject matter. But the major nuisance is the storage bloat. It periodically creeps up to nearly a gigabyte in size, and the only way to clear the cache is to delete and reinstall the app. That in turn means signing back in to an assortment of other apps that are linked to Spark. Since I’m a digital artist, my iPad is chronically short on space as it is. A way to clear the cache from within the app would be most welcome..Version: 2.0.14

BEST mail app, I LOVE it!As many have stated, I was also a mailbox user and I was very disappointed at the Dropbox decision to drop the best mail app created. I was pleasantly surprised to see this app, but the biggest flaw I have noticed so far is that it cannot open a password protected excel doc. I like the swipes, the signatures, the snooze, the price, the look and feel, most things, but as others have mentioned there are some flaws that need to be addressed. Over the native app it has the snooze which is crucial to me. Please keep making improvements, I've looked though some of the future development and it looks like it is going to be very good, but don't forget about basic email functionality. EDIT: After using spark for awhile now I do like it but it has some really annoying features. For instance, when I download the images of a Google news alert, spark only renders the visible screen and you cannot scroll around to see the rest of the message. I see this with many html messages. This should work as a going in argument when releasing an email app in today's world. EDIT 2: They have fixed the html annoyances, the html rendering is flawless and smooth, it now rotates to landscape & portrait. I LOVE this app. Probably the best mail reader out there, it has surpassed mailbox by far!.Version: 3.2.3

I like this... mostlySince my beloved gmail app turned sour, I’ve tried so many email apps for my phone. This one has some handy features, I like being able to view all of my new mail across multiple email addresses, it’s still sorted in handy categories. Customizable swipes, sharing features, it’s all great! The layout is simple and straightforward. My main complaint: if you’re a super multitasker like I am, every second counts, so the lag when I open this app, is annoying. If my mail is pushed, why do I have to wait for my inbox to update? If I don’t remember to wait for the app to load the newest messages.... that means the message I thought I was clicking is not the newest anymore and has been shuffled out of view and now I have clicked an irrelevant newer message and have to go back to my inbox to scroll to find what I’m looking for. It’s that frustrating feeling like I’m not clicking fast enough. Is it a deal breaker, no. But it’s annoying when you have limited time during the day to check email and now have to remember to mark the accidental email as unread so you remember to deal with it later. Not efficient for me... but I’m sure my issue is probably irrelevant to most..Version: 2.3.10

UPDATED: Amazing Again!I’ve updated my previous poor review (below) as the exchange integration is now working excellently. This is a solid 5 star email application. Consider the alternatives on the App Store. There is not anything similar at equivalent (one-off) pricing, in terms of: ease of use, workflow organisation/flow, clever shortcuts/replies/sorting, menus options/ third party integration, automation etc etc. I had to temporarily leave Spark (whilst exchange interaction wasn’t working following Microsoft’s changes) to Newton mail. This is also excellent, with many similar features..but it’s >£40 per year! I don’t know what the current cost of Spark is but it cost be £5 ONCE. Great App. Great developers. Great morals and customer care. Thanks for a superb app and for not going the way of everyone else with a subscription model. When every app does that, customers get drowned in subscriptions and it’s unsustainable. Thanks! Ps- I hope your friends and family are safe. All the best..Version: 2.11.16

Great, But…No matter how many times I mark an email “Junk” or “Spam” it always comes back into my inbox. Really annoying..Version: 2.11

Too many emails, newsletters & spamSpark mail has helped me so much in 2023. I started the year with more than 150,000 emails! Spark mail has changed that, newsletters are sorted under one heading, important emails in another and new contacts can be accepted or blocked! And now ai can summarise emails for you in a variety of detail. Unfortunately I won’t be able to renew my subscription in the new year due to money constraints. Thanks readdle x.Version: 3.7.3

Hands down the best email app!I’ve sampled and used many different mail clients in the past, from Airmail, Postbox, Newton, Gmail, Inbox etc.. None have really made managing email more simpler than Spark and they all had their quirks. I was previously an Airmail fantatic, but because Spark is free and offer decent and frequent updates, I decided to move three years ago and never regretted. The unified mailbox is great and the swipe actions, snooze options an quick replies are impressive. Working within a team, we can easy comment on emails without filling up our inboxes. The latest update (Nov 2019) has just made it faster and improved the UI.. love it! Thanks developers, whatever you’re doing, you’re doing it well..Version: 2.5.0

Awesome !Spark Mail is amazing. Cannot fault it at all, totally love it !.Version: 2.3.2

Edit: they fixed the paywall issue!!!!Edit: they fixed the paywall issue and the latest update allows for existing users to remove the “sent with spark” tagline without needing to pay for the subscription!! I’m so so glad I can keep using Spark, I used the Mail app for a few days and was so unhappy with it’s functionality… so glad I checked these reviews to see that the dev was making an update! a million thanks!!! and I’d be happy to support Spark’s amazing work in some way if we could just set our own price… I just can’t afford $8/mo! —original review— I’ve been using spark for forever. I hate the apple mail app, but now am forced to go back to it because of spark’s monthly subscription scheme. I can’t stand the little “sent with spark” tagline at the end of every email. it was a great app, and I would’ve gladly paid for it as a one time fee to support their work, but not yet another monthly, and definitely not at that high of a price for a monthly…sorry and sad to have to leave it..Version: 3.0.2

Great appI have tried a lot of email apps but nothing comes close to spark! Amazing app.Version: 2.5.6

This App is Chat-GPT level usefulMy various email accounts grew into the realm of unmanageability a long time ago. Before I got this application my inbox was nearly 60k unread and never a productive means of communication for me. Not only has this app allowed me to clear my inbox every single day, but it has allowed me to truly focus on the important stuff and completely deprioritize the fluff that was holding me back. I am truly grateful for this fantastic app you all have developed and cannot express how happy I am to use it on a daily basis. I got the guts to entirely delete the gmail app from my phone last week and never thought that would be possible before. Great work guys! Ps. Only thing I would LOVE to see happen would be the ability to remove my personal accounts from the client I have logged in to my work desktop. But to use the premium features and not have to pay for second subscription, I have to hide them from the unified inbox. Which is not a good idea but I prefer productivity over risk of my personal emails being read by tech support..Version: 3.2.9

Exactly what I neededI was very disappointed when Inbox left this world but luckily I found Spark. It’s a very powerful application and I am starting to love it (only used it for a week so far). It has so many customisation and I absolutely love it. Just one issue re push notification - when I get email notification and hard press it to delete/reply it - it actually try to load the full email which cause delay especially when I just like to delete the email. Some people will like this extended view of the email but some won’t. Perhaps a customisation should be offered in the setting so we can either have simple push notification (with sender, subject etc) or extended push notification with other details. Overall though, wonderful app - now will be installing on iPad and Mac :).Version: 2.3.2

5 star email app but missing a great featureA great email app with tons of features but I am missing snooze notifications feature. Outlook app has this but missing it here. Can developer's consider this request?.Version: 2.11.10

5 Star App AgainSpark has been my go-to iPad app for years. I prefer to sort through email with Spark on my iPad than through any other method (various apps across all my Apple devices). The way it automatically sorts them, not only by my multiple email accounts, but also by type (ie, people, notifications, newsletters, pins, seen, etc) makes it easy for me to get done what needs to be done. At one point I dropped it down to 4 stars because of an annoying bug where there were blank spots in my email list on the left and I had no idea if emails were being deleted or moved to “seen” or what happened to them. This makes it hard to fly through spam control and save important emails for later. I sent support an email, they quickly replied with instructions on how to help them track down the bug (screenshots, how to do log report, etc). They replied and said the devs were able to isolate the problem and it would be fixed. Today I received an email from them that the bug was in fact fixed and to test it. After a vigorous testing session it indeed was fixed and I replied to them letting them know all was well. I’d give 5+ stars if possible because not only is the app great but their support is also great. Keep up the good work Readdle!.Version: 2.11.16

Keeps getting better and betterI've been using Spark since v1 and it just keeps getting better and better. Best in class search, and the latest "Smart 2.0" way of organising the inbox makes it easier to deal with an insane amount of email across several accounts. I know this review is for the iOS version, but the v3 Desktop app is next level amazing, which makes the cross-device experience really nice whether I'm on my iPhone, iPad or laptop. As a free user for years, I've now decided to start paying for a subscription to support the developers. Looking forward to future updates!.Version: 3.2.9

Awesome mail app!A great mail app that I really enjoy. Being able to snooze emails and use the snooze feature as a reminder for to-do list is really helpful. Also having the smart inbox to filter the “noise” of newsletter and advertising from my email accounts is helpful aswell. Anyone reading this far into my review should definitely download and use spark. And for business use the features look great but I don’t use that. Enjoy! :).Version: 2.7.2

FantasticIt just works, and does multiple accounts. It syncs across my Mac and iPhone.Version: 1.12.6

The bestI seldom write a review, and when I do, it's a short one. Integrations with Todoist are superb. Interface is clean. Cards sort the wheat from the chaff. Swipes are intuitive (and customisable). Awesome..Version: 1.12.9

A recent problem has arisenI’ve been using Spark for a long time. I try others but keep coming back to it. Recently a problem has arisen. I consume 90% of my email on my iPad and when I open a link from an email, the browser opens and I typically swipe back to Spark immediately to move to the next email before eventually heading back to the browser to review all the web links I’ve opened. Of late, when I return to Spark it is frozen, unresponsive to any interaction. Occasionally after 5 seconds it will start working again, more often than not it will restart on its own. It doesn’t happen all the time but most of the time and it’s getting annoying enough for me to consider other options. Beyond that it is a fantastic email client..Version: 3.5.2

New Update Performance IssueGuys, first off, I’m a die hard fan for all Readdle. Spark I’ve used since release across all devices; about 15 family wide. Myself I run about 50 email inboxes for projects and friends under test or management. This release I’ve noticed has a performance hit fairly substantially. Have you noticed? It’s on startup, taking up to 3 mins to populate the inboxes. This is just recent. My WiFi is 30-40Mbps so it’s not the culprit..Version: 2.10.0

Still needs a little more work but is great. This email client is brilliant. The amount you can customise is really useful. I do have a few issues. Firstly, there’s no way to configure that after deleting an email, it shows the “next” email. However the next email is just the one below, more accurately, the older email and not the next new email. I always have to swipe to the newer email after deleting one and it is just not intuitive to see which direction you’re reading mails from, either new to old or old to new. This is something that Apple’s Mail app already does. The second issue I have noticed is that as an Apple Watch user, the email content is never shown. It always says to view in the iPhone email client. Apple’s Mail app for Apple Watch displays the whole message. These are the only two issues I have found that really stop me from using it as my default Mail client. However saying that, Spark is a brilliant Email Client, if you don’t mind the above two issues I am facing. You won’t be disappointed..Version: 2.8.1

5 star for iPhone and iPadI was having terrible trouble with the native email app for iPhone and iPad a few years ago. I couldn’t get it to do things that I’d had no problems with previously. I also noticed that doing other things, like deleting an email, we’re getting unnecessarily complicated with too many taps needed. So I looked for an alternative. I’ve been using Spark for years now and it’s been much better. I can delete with 1 swipe, and I’ve never had any trouble setting up or performing other tasks. I also like the fact that it colour codes multiple email addresses so there’s a visual reminder for each address. I would recommend!.Version: 3.3.1

Very capable email clientI’ve been searching for a good iOS email client for a while and tried a few. I still haven’t found what I feel is the ‘perfect’ one but Spark comes pretty close. It has an easy interface to use, it displays even complicated HTML messages without trouble, and sorting & searching is a breeze. My favourite feature is how easy it is to set up and use aliases - it mystifies me why other email clients make this complicated! My only complaint is the inability to edit SMTP settings of an existing connection; for example, to change servers or update a password. The only way to do this is to remove and re-add a connection (unless I’m missing something...). That’s what stops me from giving it 5 stars..Version: 2.7.2
