✓ Don’t waste your timeThis is g translate where they run a certain list of words for each language and it’s not correct. The translations are bad also, it uses a cheap g translate speech, uses weird emojis that are outdated, no AI interface. I saw an ad, but wow this is bad. I wouldn’t even use it if I got a free lifetime subscription..Version: 4.10.3
✓ Useful app but OverpricedThis is a good handy app. However it has been let down by the subscription price. Currently it is £49 per year or £10 a month, or a one off payment of £55 for “Lifetime” (until the developers decides not to update the app or the company goes bust). Imagine paying £55 and the next day the app is no longer available in Apple Store. This is a handy app, but not innovative. One can simply replicate the same function using the free Note app on iPhone/iPad plus Google translate. Yes it is more clunky, but the translations is just as bad as google translate. So why pay £55 for a convenience of combining google translate plus Note app..Version: 3.16
✓ No way to sample.I really really hate apps that collect all this information from you and then take you straight to a pay for use feature. I personally will never use an app that doesn't allow me a free trial period. I may be wrong, but my assumption is that the app is useless, and that former free trial periods, haven't resulted in paid subscriptions..Version: 4.12
✓ Nice idea, great interfaceWonderful design, looks nice, card sets is a great feature and everything runs smooth, however when learning words with multiple translations, your answer will be marked as incorrect if you don’t use the exact translation the app is looking for. I’m learning Spanish so let’s take ‘to the’ as an example - could be translated to ‘al’ or ‘a la’ but when testing ‘a la’ as a response, it marked me as wrong which gets frustrating in a language with so many words/phrases like this. ‘Was’ is another example here where it could be ‘fue’, or ‘era’ depending on context. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but if not, this issue needs re-thinking. If it was fixed I would buy and mark 5* as I feel the price is very reasonable. Overall good work but I can see that one issue being very confusing for many people across the board..Version: 3.17.6
✓ Help to people who don’t know yet.Ok so I read a review she was lying saying this was the best game and that everyone rating one star is just looking for boring language games well guess what you never thought this was gonna happen because a lot of people don’t write how you have to pay just for more than one lesson only one ☝️ ok so don’t be coming at me and saying that it doesn’t do that for me. from a 6th grader.Version: 3.21
✓ No SwahiliI downloaded this app as it looked really useful. The blurb did not give the full list of languages and sadly the one I wanted to practise was not there. It would be useful to list all the languages in the blurb to save a wasted download. Swahili is one of the most widely spoken African language so I hope it will be added soon..Version: 4.3.1
✓ Very BadNot recommended at all, very bad pronunciation of the words in some of the languages. Nobody will understand what you are saying. You can compare pronunciation yourself of the same words in Google Translate and in this app.Version: 3.8.2
✓ Nice conceptNice concept but just wrong. Machine translations of words that are completely incorrect even at the very start. Horrible machine voice speaking the words and they don’t sound anything like a real speaker. You’ll never be able to understand spoken language using a machine voice. No logical order to the training. Just random words. No context. Gives you conjugated verbs without any context. Basically, if you use this you’ll learn next to nothing and anything you do learn is likely to be wrong. This app is not the solution to your learning needs. There are better apps for learning vocabulary. Please do yourself a favour and don’t waste your time on this one. Go find something better. Your time is precious. Don’t waste it..Version: 4.5.1
✓ Not worth paying forI’ve been using this app for a while to learn Turkish. The interface is clunky (words can’t be organized alphabetically, you can’t check if you’ve already entered a word, the translations are often somewhat off, etc.), but for a free app I didn’t mind the drawbacks or the poor aesthetics. Now that they are charging not only for new features, but have taken away some of the old ones (including the Word Builder game, which was helpful), it’s definitely not worth it. Check out CleverDeck instead - the flashcards you build yourself are free (and if you want to pay, the decks are created by language teachers so you don’t end up with the clunky machine translations) and the app is attractive and user-friendly. You can also import decks from Quizlet if you don’t want to build them all yourself. Remember is not up to par with the other free language-learning apps available and definitely not worth paying for..Version: 3.0
✓ Needs to have more choices and user friendly language learning toolsI want to learn to speak and understand languages used in the Philippines and America. Not seeing where you can choose these or if they are even listed. Needs to have easier way to pick and choose what languages are used in different locations in the world..Version: 3.10.5
✓ Incorrect or missing translationsJust downloaded the app today and chose learn German based on English. Out of 5 random words 2 had issues: 1) “Soll” was incorrectly translated as “designed to” where it’s “should” 2) “der weisse” was translated as “Weisse” which should be “the white” So given a 40% incorrect translation rate I gave up on the app :/ pitty as design is nice.Version: 3.12
✓ Needs improvementI am learning Swedish and frankly for the amount you pay I would expect it to accept multiple answers. For example, it asked for the Swedish word for “coat” and I answered “rock”. This was marked incorrect because it was specifically looking for “täcka”. This is one of many examples I also had “bath robe” marked incorrect as it wanted “bathrobe”. I was marked wrong for writing “colour” instead of “color”! It would also be good if it added the definite from of words and which genders the words are (for gendered languages like French and Swedish). Great concept but needs improvement..Version: 4.11.2
✓ I don’t recommendI don’t like this app because I was testing to make shore it works by doing a language I already know and it did not work. what I mean by that is it just said the work with an accent like for example, I used the Japanese translator and the words were the same just with an accent. If you want to know/get better at accents then this is the app for you, but if you are looking to learn a new language I don’t recommend it..Version: 3.12

✓ I wanted to like it but it didn’t work for meI wanted to like this. It has nice features and pleasant design. But you can only make words progress to the learned category by completing all the test modes, and the speech recognition completely failed for me and there was no way to bypass it. So I couldn’t use the app. You should be able to customize which test modes you want to use. Also, the free mode doesn’t allow words to progress to the learned category, and the paid options are much too expensive..Version: 3.18.1
✓ Not TrustworthySome of the translations for words were incorrect so I wouldn't feel comfortable using it to train myself because it seems illegitimate. Ex. La Pomme which is an Apple in French, translates to Potato... Which would be La Pomme de Terre. Also the word Apple itself, translates to Le Apple. Which is incorrect..Version: 3.20
✓ Wrong pronunciationVietnamese pronunciation is all wrong! It’s all computer generated voice. If you are going to put pronunciation in your app, at least have it correct. Why would I want my kids to pronounce incorrect words? Had to delete this app. < Chỉ > is not pronounced as C H. It literally said C H. As in, the letters C and H. The Ch is almost like the letter J in the American alphabet. So it would almost be a Ji sound, with a questioning inflection and emphasis on the i. < tôi > the t is not pronounced as “toy” but more a “th” as in thimble..Version: 3.16
✓ Didn’t save progress.I was excited about this app…but after completing the first set and having them moved to the next box I took a break. When I returned it hadn’t saved my set, and all the cards were back in the first box, with the inexplicable exception of two. I need to be able to take breaks between sets without losing progress. I can set paper cards down and come back in an hour so I am not relying on very short term memory. This product does not support that an expects you to complete the entire set through five entire boxes without taking break or you risk losing progress. Going back to paper cards..Version: 4.5.1

✓ Pronunciation is AWFULThe app uses text-to-speech for pronunciation, rather than native recordings. The problem is, the text-to-speech voice isn’t necessarily specialised to the language you are studying. For example, I set the language to Lithuanian and played the pronunciation examples to my Lithuanian fiancée - she couldn’t even understand what the computer-generated voice was trying to say! The pronunciation was COMPLETELY wrong, it sounded like an English speaker trying to read Lithuanian words without ever having even heard the language being spoken before. And the app creators want people to pay £10 A MONTH for this app?!.Version: 3.20
✓ Lots of issuesThis app has a lot of errors with translations, which is unfortunate. Hopefully they will fix those. It also doesn’t let me sign in on my iPad, it wants me to buy a subscription, which I have, but because it forces you to choose a plan to buy, I can’t tell it I’ve already got an account because it has no sign in button.. so I can only use it on my cellphone. You also can’t try before you buy, I thought it has a trial and it didn’t so I bought a subscription, might ask for refund. I like it, it just has a lot of issues :( I also have to restore my purchase every time I load the app. Sigh..Version: 4.11.2
✓ Wrong translationsJust a heads up I’m already an almost fluent Spanish speaker and added the app to learn some new words as well as practice more. A lot of the translations were incorrect so I would be careful for that..Version: 4.7.10
✓ UnhappyI use an iPad Pro 13 inch with a keyboard. I never use it in portrait mode. Which is why I do not use apps which only display in portrait mode. This app is useless to me, because it only displays in portrait mode. Like many of us, I downloaded the app and triggered the trial period without realizing it. I am out ten bucks for the first month. $10/month is too much for what this app does. Especially since it only displays in portrait mode. By the way, part of the blame for my ire goes to Apple. IOS should rotate all portrait only apps in landscape mode. After all, even squeezed into the vertical space of the screen on my iPad Pro, the app would still display larger than on the display of an iPhone. Also, although I have never designed an iOS app, I suspect that xCode provides insufficient warnings, if any, to developers that they should provide for the display of their app in landscape mode..Version: 3.13

✓ Interesting appI took the preview and looks interesting. Unfortunately, they want me to use either my gmail, apple or Facebook login I’d to login. This will not happen as I do not use other logins as it is a security risk. Until they allow you to create your account I can not create an account to try it..Version: 4.0

✓ Teaching me a different language!I am 100% sure I put that I want to learn Korean in the app. In fact I checked it multiple times. But it’s wasn’t teaching me it, it was showing a different language with a different way of writing and everything. Also the translation are nit quite right. I’m intermediate in korean so I checked the translator and most of the time it said something completely different. Luckily I was intermediate so I did just start learning and completely different language I didn’t even know the name of!.Version: 3.15
