✓ Great concept, horrid execution.This is a great idea for an app however the ridiculously common bias agenda of leftists consumes any opportunity for this app to make a significant impact. Or at least one that’s truly educating/unbiased I. How it informs the user. When you use loaded phrasing to push an agenda and the only options you have are to support causes strictly being pushed by one side of the aisle you are doomed to fail. This app should change to a different operational platform, but they’ve already shown they’re inability to remain informatively neutral. Shame. ✓ Half of the argument? Then half of your 5 stars possible.I love the concept of this app...to get people motivated and to get them to call about current issues. This app will find your representatives and put their phone number a click away! It will even give you some talking points and things to say about various issues to tell the person you call. Except it only gives you talking points to support what ever issue it is. That’s the issue I have with this app. It only gives you reasons to support whatever issue you select. I haven’t been able to find anywhere in this app pertaining to reasons why your congressman/women shouldn’t vote for something. If I am against an issue in Congress then I usually already have my reasons, but with that being said it’s nice to read through something before you call. Sometimes, I’ll find another talking point to support my reason and I find myself choosing better wording due to reading it. ✓ Very heavily biased, but still usableClaims to help you contact your representatives. Only gives you the option to pursue support for leftist/progressive agendas. At first, I thought it was garbage, but then realized I could still use the app to contact my representatives and urge them to support/oppose things of my own choosing. ✓ Created for the left by the left, so I left.The concept and execution of this app is great, but it wasn’t designed to allow all voices to be heard. Instead, the app only shows leftist ideals. It utilizes the tactics outlined by Alinsky in “Rules for Radicals”, which tells organizers how to achieve a political revolution through lies, deceit, and social reform. To achieve their end goal, organizers must create an unbeatable voting block by brainwashing the masses into voting themselves out of a capitalistic society. This requires a coalition of people who support their often disingenuous causes; “useful idiots,” as referred to by Marx in the Communist Manifesto. ✓ Useful idea if your are a liberalThis app is only one sided like many have said. It doesn’t really help cover the issues fairly as it is very biased to a liberal view point. Fairness and tolerance is always pushed be the left, however they build apps like this one that is not fair and not tolerable to varying views points. But this is how they win votes. Only cover points that trigger those that can’t think for themselves. Feed them only issues that seem important to a liberal and not offer multiple perspectives. I would like to get numbers to call that are voters in key states where the constituency could make a difference. Like tax reform. ✓ Obviously BiasedIt is clear that this app is influenced by political liberals. However, it is well-designed and user -friendly. Political neutrality is more important to me these days, so I make the calls and just change my requests based on my own beliefs as opposed to blindly taking the App’s suggestions. For instance, I don’t support LGBTQ, so I called my Senators to let them know that I demand they vote against all such legislation that supports use of hormones or sex change surgery in minors who barely know right from wrong. Not balancedThe developers of this application are clearly promoting their own, woke, left wing agenda by failing to provide both sides of the argument so users can make informed decisions. Candidly, Apple pushing this application as part of it’s Juneteenth message is yet another example of self proclaimed woke, social justice warriors attacking the fundamental liberties that make America great. Using technology to undermine core values in an unbalanced and very biased manner is not ok. ✓ Great idea, terribly biasedI'm an AP US govt teacher and one of my students introduced me to this app. It's an outstanding idea but the topics are extremely slanted and not something I plan on using with students in the future AT ALL! I don't teach my students to think a specific way. I teach them HOW to think. ✓ Could be more effectiveAlthough the app is super helpful with centralizing information the offices have done things like not answering phones so you’ll need to leave a message and therefore the mailbox is full OR having a rep answer and say the rep already supports the H res. It would be helpful to know reps that have already stated to other callers that they support the res by “marking the results of the call” or knowing a mailbox is full in advance by “marking mailbox as full”. The app is a great idea but it should be issues any person can call their congressperson about, whether it be democrat or republican. Also, the app tagged all of the designers and developers and they’re all extremely far-left on their social media... if that doesn’t say something about their bias than I don’t know what does. ✓ DOES NOT WORK WITH VOICEOVER!5 Calls is an app that can be so beneficial to visually impaired persons, but only if they can use it! VoiceOver DOES NOT work with 5 Calls on my iPhone 12 Pro Max running iOS 14.6. I contacted the developer who was by far less than empathetic! His response was that it works on his phone! I wonder how blind he is! Even if the problem is not with the developer’s coding, he could help in determining if Apple updates might be the culprit. The same problem has popped up on several other apps and those developers are trying to determine what has caused the break and are seeking a fix. They have been and are showing empathy and mastery. I appreciate them mightily! I think 5 Calls is a worthy app if it works for you.
