✓ Bad updateThis local weather app has always been my favorite-- up until the last week or two. Something has been changed. The app now runs very slowly and I end up getting stuck having to watch an ad to see the radar. It makes me sad; if this isn't updated soon, I suspect I will be forced to move on and find another weather app. Please WTVA -- fix this! I am willing to pay!.Version: 4.4.1301
✓ App crashesI know this is a top-notch app, but there has to be a bug in it somewhere. I have it on both iPhone and iPad, and every time I open it, it crashes and reverts to the home screen..Version: 4.4.800
✓ Good that it’s localIt’s a bit of a cluttered looking app, mostly because of coloring and text. Sometimes have to navigate a bit to get to the live stream link. Mostly, I wish the voice notification could be turned off and just use an alert tone or at least customizable for specific alerts like tornado warning and not lightening detection 20 miles from my location..Version: 5.7.303

✓ AnnoyingThey tell you the same thing like eight times and yes it is helpful kinda but it tells you what you already know. It tells you when it’s rainy already that rain has been detected in your area obviously.Version: 4.6.2105
✓ Love alerts! Love they're Matt's voice butIt messes me up everyday that you can't rewind the video you're watching. You'd think I would learn, but I think I spend so much more time watching YouTube or tv or ANYTHING where you can adjust the slider at the bottom. Usually I've have to sit through commercials and a minute and half of weather idc about. My mind has wandered by the time they say why I actually needed to hear & I miss it. And a.out fail I reach up and try to slightly rewind, and without fail it starts over. Ppl consume so much video online from tik tok to tv to everything in between and a play all the way through or start at the beginning technology just isn't acceptable. (Love Matt and John. ✓ Glitchy, unreliable, no app support.Update 8/14/20 Functionality is sporadic. Recent update did nothing to improve performance. We have been using this app ever since it first became available some years ago & it has never been exceptional but it was adequate for getting local weather. Usually, the radar was the highlight. Ever since they started forcing us to watch ads before getting access to our weather, the quality & performance of this app has nosedived. Two days ago, the app failed to open displaying the message “Content not available in your area”. Excuse me!?! What changed? My phone is updated. I’ve kept up with app updates. What’s the problem? Don’t know & cant find out because there is no app support. I’ve deleted & reinstalled with no improvement. Maybe the 1 star review will get someone’s attention. I’m giving up on this loser & going back to The Weather channel..Version: 5.0.802

✓ Pop up video ads when you swap screensThis used to be my go to weather app. It was the only one I had on my phone. I liked that it was local but would follow you anywhere when you travelled. The radar was great and the weather warning and lightning strike screens would overlay the precipitation without having to switch back and forth like some other apps. The banner ads they had scattered through the screens were unobtrusive enough and sometimes even had things I was interested in. Now when you switch screens such as from hourly to 10 day or to radar, a video ad pops up filling the entire screen and with audio. This is very intrusive and can be disturbing if you are in a setting where you don’t want audio blaring. Plus half the banner ads are now ads for Trump. So this app is now in the trash. I would rather pay a subscription fee, which I now do for AccuWeather..Version: 5.7.101
✓ Ads are priorityI unfortunately updated this app recently. I hate this app now. I'm only giving it 1 star because no stars is not an option. Ads are rampant. My phone freezes when scrolling any page, and after about 30 seconds an ad pops up. Then when I try to close the ad my phone freezes again as I repeatedly try to tap the little x. Eventually I just close it. Guess it's time to search for a new weather app..Version: 4.4.1301

✓ Good Team, Bad AppI use this app often. I love Matt and the WTVA weather team because they are good at their jobs. The app developers, however, are awful.
