What is Rogue Cards? Description of Rogue Cards 1134 chars
Rogue Cards (Dungeon Cards) is a mix of puzzle, card game, and a classical roguelike. Each movement of your card creates a unique and challenging situation, a mini-puzzle which requires strategic thinking to solve.
In this card roguelike, you move your character card about a field of nine cards. You have to clash your card with neighboring cards to move it. Monster cards and trap cards will decrease your card's health, healing cards will... well, heal you, cards with gold will increase your game score and there are also many other cards with unique abilities and behaviors.
The game is built with a classical roguelike formula: it is a turn-based dungeon crawler in a fantasy setting with selectable characters, procedurally generated dungeons, pixel art graphics, and the permadeath.
Choose one of the ten heroes, descend into the magical dungeon and slay hordes of monsters in quest of epic loot!

Rogue Cards Pros
✓ Good fun idkI really like this game and would love to see more games like this I’m surprised a game so simple is this fun.Version: 1.0.227
✓ Rogue CardsI got this back in November when it went free for a day or two. I wasn't really a fan of card-based games previously (outside of Imbroglio, because.... well.... WOW!), even though I'm a huge strategy and roguelike fan, the whole card element has never really grabbed me - and I didn't expect much from this, especially with a generic name like Rogue Cards... HOWEVER:;: After about a week of installing and offloading this game trying to make more space on my dinky little 16GB phone, it started to click with me. By Christmas, I was playing this at least once a day. Now, at the beginning of March, it's still on my phone (one of 3 card-based games I have wound up REALLY clicking with - the other two being; Imbroglio [obviously] and Pirates Outlaws], and more than that:: I have at least 5 gaming 'sessions' (free time where I put more than 15 minutes into a game) with it a week. I have yet to unlock everything, but I do have about 60% of the perks, 3/4 of the characters and a little less than 1/2 of the stages unlocked. And with no IAPs in sight, it's great knowing that everyone else playing it has not been able to just buy their way to unlocking everything. It also doesn't taint the gameplay with thoughts like 'are they purposely coding the game to always beat me?' Or 'is this artificially difficult so that I'll want to toss a few dollars at it?' So.... do I recommend this game? GEWD YES!!! Even for people/gamers who have never been fans of card games? ABSOLUTELY. Should you wait for it to go on sale or even drop down to free to get it? If I knew how much I was going to enjoy this game before I, myself, got it for free, I wouldn't have. $1.99 is a GREAT price point for this when compared to other titles in the genre scattered across the AppStore. In fact, after Christmas I would up gifting this game to a couple of friends at work just because I wanted to toss what I could in the direction of the devs AND because I thought they would both enjoy it. One did, the other is more obsessed with console gaming, has never thought of his phone as a 'respectable gaming device' and has made fun of mobile gamers for the last decade.... so.... <shrug> (can't win 'em all). Anyway, I TOTALLY recommend picking it up if you're even the slightest bit interested in it. Lots of characters with different attributes/abilities - lots of perks to choose from (you can activate 3 out of the 11-12 or so that they have - after you unlock them), and both can be upgraded with the currency you earn/collect in each game, and, right now, 17 stages to choose from, each of them also having different enemies/attributes. Though, you'll have to unlock all of this, starting from stage 1 and with 1 character.... it IS a game that, in order to unlock everything and have a fairly massive selection of ways to play, you'll have to put a bit of time in to - but the gameplay is solid, fair, ENJOYABLE, randomized, and can very easily eat up a lot of that free time. If that doesn't sound good, or like something you're into, then I'd say no, go buy something else. =P.Version: 1.0.227

✗ No Saves?I really like this game, but it is really annoying that I can’t pause a run and be confident that I’ll be able to resume it at a later time. If it’s a short amount of time that I leave the app, it stays, but after a while if I relaunch the app, I am sent to the Home Screen with no way to resume. Is this just me that is having this issue?.Version: 1.0.227
✗ Pretty funThis game is pretty fun. The mechanics are simple but requires careful planning to execute well. It’s sort of like a grid based dungeon card game. It’s also very cute! Unfortunately the random nature of card appearances means you can often get stuck in positions that are literally impossible to escape. The counterbalance to this are abilities and upgrades which you can level up, including more health, periodic auto-heals/attacks, and more. But, then you have to grind to unlock the abilities, which isn’t too bad since the game is enjoyable to begin with, but would be nicer if the upgrades came a bit faster. Finally, my foremost complaint is that the game doesn’t save dungeon state if the app closes. So if you’re halfway through a dungeon with lots of gold and get distracted and have to leave the app, there’s a chance you’ll lose all your dungeon progress and gold from it. Quite frustrating considering it is a mobile app. Please fix this soon! Overall, quite a fun concept and I enjoy playing it, definitely worth the trivial $1 asking price. You spend more money on a candy bar than this game costs, please just buy it!.Version: 1.0.130
