It’s like they’re hoping they’ll get a percentage of people start a subscription, then forget to cancel for a while. If you wanted to respectful and fair about it, then let people have a two week trial (tell ‘em up front that they get two weeks free!), and then after two weeks, stop work allowing creation of new work unless they do subscribe. ✓ Subscription basedI’ve reached a pointwhenever something is subscription based, I write it off. At the point a number of things become subscription based, it simply becomes unaffordable. As a tattoo artist I get enough vendors over charging me, I don’t need another. If it was cheaper like 1.99 a month sure. Not the price point it’s at currently. Procreate is a one time charge and does pretty much all this with brush stamps and assisted drawing features. Just get that..Version: 1.28

✓ Pricing is preposterousThis app seems pretty cool, and I do recognize they provide monthly patterns to add some value to the subscription, but the pricing is just outrageous. It’s also frustrating that the pricing is somewhat hard to see on the App Store page, so you may not realize the cost until you download the app. I like to doodle on my iPad in apps like Procreate and Mandala Maker, so I found Geometrica while looking for an app that provided better symmetry than Procreate, but with more artistic tools than an app like Mandala Maker, which lacks proper Pencil support. I do this in occasional bursts, sometimes not for months at a time. The subscription model isn’t reasonable for casual enjoyers like me. I’d have hesitations paying $5/month, let alone an obscene $17/month. I promptly uninstalled and shortly after, I found Amaziograph, which works incredibly for my use case, and costs 99 cents for a permanent license. I respect the fact that developing software is a lot of work, and if this lets you provide for your family then more power to you, but I want you to know that you’re missing out on a lot of potential customers with the extremely expensive subscription only model. I would’ve happily tried out a free basic version and paid to unlock more patterns and brushes. I would’ve also been happy to buy a permanent license, and I could see myself paying $30 for it, maybe more if I was really in love with the app. Instead there’s no way I will ever use this app again, because you’re competing with 99 cent permanent license apps that also offer great, unique feature sets..Version: 1.36

✓ Probably cool but very expensiveThey don’t tell you until you download the app that a yearly subscription is required and I don’t want to try the free trial for fear of forgetting to cancel the subscription and getting automatically charged $119. ✓ No Free Lunch HereThough the app can be downloaded for free, you must subscribe to even be able to test the app. Two week free trial, then you will be playing 26ish dollars a month, or yearly plan of over a hundred. At yearly, it breaks down to about 16 per month. Considering Procreate can now to symmetry, with a one-off 15 dollar-ish payment, I don’t see how an app like this can survive. ✓ Terrible price and bad quality linesThis app has a very small number of uses, however that is okay since symmetry is all I wanted, but the price point for such a use is way too high. Since I am an artist who uses a lot of mandalas I was still willing to pay for a yearly subscription since procreate doesn’t give me the option for extra margins when creating mandalas - HOWEVER when I went to trial the app, I was shocked by the quality of the lines. They are not great, at all. I cannot use them in any of my professional work since they are extremely pixelated and fuzzy. If you are going to charge professional prices, you need to offer professional quality. I’ll stick with procreate thanks. It’s one-off purchase price is still less than a month of this..Version: 1.29
