✓ Great App But Widget Not WorkingGreat RSS but the widget doesn’t update in the background refresh. I was using Feedly because it has free mode and the widget works but Lire has no ads which would be awesome if the widget would pull updates. ✓ Get this app if you use RSS feeds!!!I never leave reviews. This app is single handily the greatest RSS app in the App Store. Yes it’s $15, but what’s that! Easily worth it! The developers here have something great. Given access to feeds in what feels like a native IOS way, but taking advantage of the more feed syncs like Feedly etc. If you use other RSS apps, get this now. Seriously. Right now..Version: 4.0.16
✓ Wow!I am so glad I found this. It is definitely worth the $10. First, to the devs: thanks for not being a subscription. And thanks for respecting privacy. The review: you can adjust this in seemingly EVERY way. You can have specific feeds open directly in the in-app browser, or in reader mode. So, depending on the behavior of the feed, it will remember what to do. Do you hate it when the app header scrolls away like I do? You can change that. Easily adjust font sizes. Can organize the feeds - not just one l long list. The customization that you can do goes on and on. AND - they respect your privacy..Version: 5.0.16

✓ Modernised powerhouseThis is the absolute best rss reader on iPadOS for power users w/ 1. Refreshed and modernised interface supporting all new OS features like multi-window, widgets. 2. Automatic full-text fetching. 3. Support most sync services. 3. Tons of customisation and accessibility support. It may not have the smooth animations of Reeder, nor the subscription cost of Fiery Feeds. But this is the one ticking most boxes. ✓ Reeder users on Apple Vision Pro: come here!I’ve been using Reeder on all of my Apple devices, so it’s been a real bummer to not be able to read all of the news on my self-hosted FreshRSS host after I got my shiny new Apple Vision Pro. I gave it a few weeks and there’s still no Reeder option here, so I did a search for “freshrss” to see if any apps claimed support. This is *not* a native app, but unlike Reeder, it *is* compatible as an iPad app. Going for 4 stars now because most of what I need out of a reader is here. ✓ Best RSS reader for sophisticated technologistsI self-host a FreshRSS instance on a cloud VM that I connect to over Wireguard, so believe me when I say I am really picky. The lire app is perfect for me. No odious subscription, fine grained control over lots of settings, and really good integration with Google Reader API services. I don't want a lot of frills, I just want the content - that's why I am reading RSS feeds in the first place! And lire gives it to me. Thanks for the great app!.Version: 5.1.5

✓ Excellent!!!I live in a rural area with weak cell service. When the power goes out we’re totally offline. Automatic Full-text caching is the feature that sold me on this app. Everything works well and is quick and smooth. Nice UI and intuitive controls. I also appreciate the Standalone option, lack of data collection, and no need for a subscription! Finally, having never used an RSS reader before, the developer was super quick to respond to my silly questions and explain things in a clear, concise, and courteous manner. ✓ Total Game ChangerI have been searching for years for an app that will pull all my social media feeds into one place and allow me to organise them into categories of importance to me. ✓ Great readerI’ve tried several RSS readers over the years and most of the popular ones included. They’ve all mostly either been missing features, subscriptions based or had performance problems fetching feeds. Lire gets it right and for a reasonable one-time price. The app is visually appealing and it’s functionality is superb. It syncs well with its MAC counterpart as well..Version: 5.1.8
✓ Can we get even better support for FreshRSS and Walabag?Love the app, and would tell anyone it is a great option for folks that want to self-host using Wallabag and FreshRSS. Maybe one thing I would change is to default to sync / caching only on Wi-Fi or not at all. My data plan thanks you next month. Can we get lire app to support labels properly on FreshRSS? If I add a label to FreshRSS, it shows up as a folder in lire. But,that folder doesn't contain anything. It doesn't display any of the items with the label. Showing saved user queries would be nice too, but one request at a time, I suppose. Okay, I lied. I would also like to request that a single swipe option to save an article directly to Wallabag.
