✓ Really usefulApp is really useful overall but every time the stats section is selected the app crashes and closes down. That being said it’s incredibly useful that you can select your page number when you’re finished reading and alter the overall number of pages for the book. It may be useful to show the title for books that have no image uploaded..Version: 2.8.50
✓ Amazing appIf you love reading but never have the guts to actually start a book this app is for you. When I downloaded it after a months time I had finished 2 BOOKS! When you open the app for the first time it will ask you to use the payed option of the free option and I chose the free option but it wasn’t even bad. It had many things to do on the app and felt more like a payed option. If you have not got this yet i totally recommend it 😁😁.Version: 2.8.35

✓ Can’t log back inI was trialling the app in the last few days and thought it was great! Loved being able to take notes, and pictures of favourite quotes period, loved being able to track time spent, reading, and books read this year. But I unintentionally logged out of the app and could not log back in! Couldn’t create a new profile, deleted and reloaded the app with no luck. Please fix!!!.Version: 2.8.47

✓ Room for ImprovementI really enjoy using this app, and it does what it promises, makes me read soooo much more. That being said there is a lot of room for improvement. This is small but the "reader roadmap" goal bar refuses to disappear even when I have completed the final step of designing and sharing a quote upwards of 10x..the bar will not go away. As someone with OCD this irritates me a lot, and for an app you pay for, there shouldn't be a glitch like that. A BIG area of improvement is the stats section!!!! If I'm paying to see stats, I better be able to see stats other than my week to week stats...WITH ZERO HISTORY. As I reader, I want to be able to see how many pages I've read this month, this year, this quarter. Actually truly track what I'm doing. Week to week serves me no benefit if I can't remember my page speed or pages read from the previous day. (Yes, everyday stats are different because it's not M-S stats..it's Tues-Tues, Wed-Wed..you get the picture). I should also be able to get full stats on books that I am reading. If I read a book, I should see how many hours TOTAL i spent reading, and my average mood for the book, pages read, sped of reading etc, instead it merely tells me my stats for reading the book for the week i completed it in. These improvements alone is enough to keep me from renewing premium as I'm not actually getting any true data that I can't get on my own by timing & tracking myself without hassle. **Updating review due to developer response & improvements.Version: 2.8.47

✓ Love it!I actually decided to download this app because I was reading how the developers responded to the reviews on here. I appreciate their kindness, understanding and passion. I wanted to support them solely for that reason. After downloading the app though, I was surprised anyone has given this less than a 4 star. There’s so much you can do with this app without a subscription. I think it’s unfortunate that someone would think they should be given more for free. Their hard work should be compensated and if they want to be able to provide a better experience I would think that would require additional funds as well. The cost is very reasonable and I plan to support them as soon as I’m able to. Such an underrated app! Great job to all those involved!.Version: 2.8.1

✓ Great Reading Coach!The developers really thought about the design. The encouragement from the timer to list and notes are really cool features that integrate nicely together. The beta chat ai is a great start and can’t wait to see where they take this! Long term improvements may be chatting bot with your notes or export notes good reads integration would be cool too. ✓ Super Useful!Super useful as it’s easy to set realistic goals and put into perspective of how often you need to read to achieve them. I love the fact that you can add books you want to read as well as the fact that there are so many books on there! ✓ Fantastic app!This app is such a great motivator! I love it! I’m someone who loves order and the fact that I can list the books that I’ve read and want to read is amazing! I would like to suggest just two things. First having a section that suggests novel would be great. And secondly being able to change the total numbers of pages in a novel would be really helpful. ✓ Love this app!I’m a total bookworm but tracking my reading and my progress on books can get annoying. Personally this app is very helpful. I love that I could also write my thoughts on what I read in that moment. Although I do wish I could pause the timer so I don’t have to restart every time I have to use the bathroom or get a snack. ✓ Loving the AI chat featureAbsolutely love this app, have been using it since January and it is such a motivator to read. Being able to see how long it’s gonna take me to finish a book in hours means I’m able to plan time throughout the week to read. Also AMAZED at how helpful the AI chat feature is ?? BASMO please here me out! If I had one suggestion, it would be great to see this feature implemented so that you can access it during a reading session rather than having to end it… I use it to ask questions while reading so it’s a bit annoying having to cancel a session for thirty seconds. ✓ GlitchI’m really excited to use this app. But when I was signing in and answering the questions, it wouldn’t let me continue on one of the questions. It was the question on how I feel about reading with the emojis. I selected my response and there was no button to continue or anything. I tried deleting and reinstalling but it still didn’t work. I also tried reporting the problem on the website but it wouldn’t let me. ✓ Not Just to Track Reading! Homeschooler goodness!I have been using Basmo for over a year and a half for personal reader tracking, and the stats are fun to review. Note taking while reading more intense literature is super helpful. But with the new ability the “chat” with your book using AI, I discovered another great use: Homeschooling book report assistance. The chat suggests some very well thought out questions that could easily be used for kids book report and comprehension questions, so while parents have skimmed the book, they can have brief and accurate chats with a wide range of books to find deeper meanings and little details that might have been missed. I am pretty excited to make use of this feature in the future..Version: 2.8.57
✓ Perfect free tracker <33I love this app and have been using it for a month or so :) i haven’t got premium and don’t need to as this app is fine without it :D I only have two complaints: - when it comes to guessing how long it will take you to complete a book it’s not very accurate ( I finished half a book in 20 mins but it told me it would take me 2hours to finish the other half? ) - recommendations are a bit confusing Apart from those two this is a really good app and I’d def recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want to put in effort when it comes to tracking reading ( it’s also rlly aesthetic lol ).Version: 2.8.56

✓ Love the app wish there was a little moreI love this app and it’s helped me to track where I can see how long I’m taking to read a book or how much I should read to finish a book on a certain date. I do wish there was a way I can use my Apple Watch to start the timer and put how many pages I’ve read. I really like using this app especially with the ai that I sometimes use when reading philosophy books and I’m confused what I just read. ✓ I see potentialI have only had the app a while, it has great concepts but a couple things which are making it hard to use. I can’t add my progress already on books unless I go through the start reading function which is quite awkward and messed up my reading time. Also I read on an e-reader so I have to do it by percentage rather than by page as most of my books aren’t like for like. I want to track my progress but it becomes really complicated. ✓ Chatbot hallucinatingThe chatbot is still pretty rough. On two books, it discussed characters and themes not in the book. It worked on others. Kind of hit or miss. I really like the thoughts/ideas feature which allows you, whilst reading, to right down little notes or annotations of parts in the book. You can also scan a quote on your page and have it on your phone in this section! I love the categories of reading you can create to put all your books in and I love seeing my statistics on how I read! Also I recently had some trouble with app as I changed phones and lost my data and I contacted Basmo to help and they were fantastically efficient and absolutely lovely!
