✓ Game changerI absolutely love this app. I own hundreds of books and sometimes in order to make room for new books I have to get rid of other books. I’ve seen BST groups on Facebook but I never knew how much I should charge for shipping, and on the occasions where I wanted to purchase, I didn’t feel comfortable just sending money to a stranger and hoping that they’d sent me what I paid for. This app takes care of both of those issues for me. It’s super easy to list and sell books as well as purchase. I’d love it if eventually we could sell other book related items like the things that you get in book subscription boxes that you might not want to keep..Version: 2.3.4
✓ My newest obsession!I came across this app via Instagram ad and I’m so glad I did. It’s made book buying so affordable and accessible for me - I love it! It’s also fun selling books. I understand why the low prices and small user base can seem “scammish” to new users, but honestly I’ve never had a bad experience. A lot of users, myself included, simply just want to make room for new books on their shelves while also gifting another person the joy of a new read. With each of my purchases the sellers have been great communicators and fast shippers, not to mention my books have always arrived in fantastic condition. ✗ It’s mehIf your intention of buying used books is to save money, it’s not that great of an app. Yeah $3 books look great, but when shipping is factored in, it pretty much goes back up to the regular selling price in many cases. I know Thriftbooks sells old library books in many cases, but the books are cheap and the shipping is lower or even free. Also, the amount of people I see trying to resell the books they got for $20 for $200-$300+ on this app is insane. What is wrong with you people. There are some users who are genuinely just trying to give their old books new homes. But a lot of people are just trying to use PangoBooks to make a profit. It just leave a bad taste in your mouth..Version: 2.4.40
✗ Great app but needs stricter rulesThe app itself is great you have a half priced books at your fingertips. However I have a complaint when it comes to the seller rules. Once you buy the book the sellers have three days to ship it to you. But, as far as I know of there’s no repercussions if they don’t do so. If the book isn’t sent out you have to request to cancel and wait for the seller to reply to your cancellation. If your an avid reader like me it’s hard to wait. I recommend messaging the sellers first before buying from them. If they don’t respond in a timely fashion they likely won’t send your book out in a timely fashion either. Besides dodgy sellers the app is great and I recommend it!.Version: 2.4.35
