What is Rotor? Description of Rotor

Rotor is a full-featured antenna rotor control app for macOS. It can control up to 9 rotors. It is able to track stations and satellites automatically with both azimuth and elevation and currently supports SPID, Yaesu (GS-232A/B), DCU-1, EasyComm, Green Heron and Prosistel rotor protocols. In connection with the Ham Radio Logger RumLogNG or WSJT-X Rotor can control your antenna direction fully automatically.
Rotor predicts satellites passes for the next seven days for your location and calculates sked times for a given satellite to a dx location. It shows positions, footprints and ground tracks on a 2D or 3D map.

Rotor Pros

Works really wellI've been using Rotor for about 9 months now and it works really well. I've barely had to touch the switches on my rotator controller. I use Rotor for my 2m, 70cm and 23cm beams. I can swing the antennas by clicking on the azimuth display or by entering a callsign, locator or beam heading of a station. Even better, if I can see on GridTracker that a station can hear me I can click on it in GridTracker and the beam turns to that station. I work SSB satellites without any elevation control and Rotor is great for this as well. My rotator is a Yaesu 450C with a USB interface from ERC fitted and this works perfectly with Rotor..Interstella58Version: 1.5

Works great with GH RT21I have use this with my GH RT21 controller..point and watch it do its job nice display my only problem was getting world great cricle map display to align would be good to be able to choose between various azimuth display overlays K3SF.K3sfVersion: 1.1.2

Rotor Cons

No Rotor ControlI have a custom AZ/EL Rotator that adheres strictly to the GS-232A protocol. Works great with MacDoppler Pro and many other GS-232 enabled controllers. Port connects fine, but no polling to read rotator position and commands are either not recieved or incorrectly formatted for GS-232A..Oznog32Version: 1.2.2
