Great app but…I love this app and it’s something I would love to buy the full version of, but please make it so you can buy the full version with a one-time payment! Please, if the creator/developer sees this, make it so you can purchase it with a one-off payment and I would be happy to buy it as it’s a great app to supplement your learning in BJJ!! Edit: Thank you for this! I have updated my review and given you a 5 star rating, I will now purchase the app!.Version: 1.1.1

The best BJJ learning toolWhite belt here, Starting BJJ is super overwhelming because there is so much content, I felt like I wasted the first 6 months because everything went in one ear and out the other. This app helped me take a better approach and start learning more systematically, then I invested in some Danaher instructionals which would also be in one ear and out the other without Max’s flow charts. Max’s app has a lifetime subscription which makes the price of it beyond a bargain, basically free, also his blogs are great and I think buying a danaher instructional is almost a waste without his flow charts..Version: 1.2

Great product!I really enjoyed having access to videos and flow charts. I always buy the products from the website but the application allows for quick references to techniques and speeds up the whole drilling planning process..Version: 1.2

Amazing ResourceI started doing Jiu Jitsu 15 years ago. I’ve been part of several schools and have been exposed to different teaching methodologies. Some methodologies work better than others in helping students retain knowledge; however, I think there is a universal challenge they all face, which is the lack of a Birds Eye point of view. Connecting the dots between Individual techniques or sequences comes only with time. The app does an incredible job helping you accelerate that process because you can see techniques from a Birds Eye point of view. Jiu-jitsu is similar to putting a puzzle together. In the real world, you see a picture, you are given the pieces, and then you put the puzzle together. However, in Jiu-jitsu, you are given one piece, maybe a few pieces at a time, but you are not shown the overall picture until years later, when the puzzle is almost done. The flow charts and videos are THE Picture!.Version: 1.2

What I’ve been looking forThis app is so satisfying. I’m a big fan of having an organized reference manual of BJJ techniques. This app breaks down techniques by each specific position, and each sub-category contains lots of flow charts, and corresponding short videos demonstrate the techniques. It’s all in one place and has a clean, easy layout. You’re obviously not getting the in depth technique break down that you would from a full instructional DVD, but I don’t think that’s what this app is about. This is about understanding the big picture and giving a sense of purpose to your game. If you have any weak areas, you can systematically review your options and clarify what your main objectives should from that position. This is a sick resource..Version: 1.1.2

BJJFlowChartsI have a question how much is the membership.Version: 1.1.2

Fantastic appThis is a great app that has helped me a lot in my BJJ journey. It is a great supplement to training and to review techniques when you’re not with training partners and can’t ask questions. I’ve had many lightbulb moments just from watching some of the clips. A great tool for anybody serious about BJJ..Version: 1.2

ThanksHappy that there’s free stuff.Version: 1.2

Max BJJ Flow ChartI highly recommend this app. Excellent breakdown of moves, with slow motion. Also moves are organized in categories, so it is easy to structure and streamline your own lessons. If you want to make quick progress on the mat, buy this app. Just like algebra, if you do your home work, you will do great on the test. If you learn from Max Flowchart during your time off the mat, you will be significantly better when you go and spar on the mat at school. I give this 5 stars. Top notch. JJ.Version: 1.2

Exceptional ValueIf you are serious about the art and science of BJJ, then this is a must-have. To the developers: I was unfair in my initial review of this app and, for that, I apologize. Please keep up the amazing work guys..Version: 1.1.2

Edit: looking further into it, it seems really coolI’m a dumb white belt who jumped the gun and read this app low because it was expensive. At least it seems expensive but when I consider it all you’re getting here it’s actually pretty cool. I just need to decide if I’m gonna buy it..Version: 1.2

Fantastic toolExcellent way to take the best material and dial it in with an easy to use, clean, straightforward app. Can’t recommend this highly enough..Version: 1.2

Awesome BJJ AppThis app is fantastic. It helps give you a clear pathway based on the position you are in. It’s a clear systematic approach to BJJ that I like..Version: 1.2

Very structured & amazing learning toolI feel that the structure and content of this app is perfect for my style of learning (learning in a systematic fashion). The content covers a broad range of guards/positions/submissions/escapes and the length of the videos are ideal (ie not too short and not too long). Because of this I actually view this app as much more usetul than the other standard instructionals from places such as BJJFanatics. The overviews are also really useful for recapping the key points for each section..Version: 1.2

Great app- worth the price tagThere are a lot of instructional options for BJJ out there but I would put this one in the upper ranks. It is super organized, contains multiple mediums (video instruction, written notes, and visuals aids), and the developer consistently updates it (every Friday). The videos are not talk laden and detail heavy which some might consider a con but I consider a pro. If you want super in depth and detailed explanations, buy a Danaher or other BJJ athlete instructional. The true utility of this app is to see how all the pieces fit together which it certainly accomplishes and continues to do so. People might balk at the price tag (I did) but it’s about the same as other high priced instructionals or a couple discounted ones and this is continually updated. Or you can do what I did- wait til a special occasion and treat yourself..Version: 1.2

Best BJJ Instructional App ever!If you want to improve in BJJ, get this app. The lifetime access is worth every penny..Version: 1.1.2

Improve your BJJ knowledge! This app is very helpful in improving my BJJ. Helps me look at what to do in each position. After rolling I like to look at the app and see what I could have done differently when I had my opponent or my opponent had me in a position. Also, just fun to look at techniques when having some down time. I highly recommend.Version: 1.2

Super Resource and Support.I love this app and the regular updates. The videos are just the right length and are structured appropriately. There are no unnecessary fillers, lengthy labored discussion points, or overly complicated techniques. I particularly like the on screen pointers which highlight the importance of what is being taught. This is the perfect app for your average or reasonably dedicated BJJ student whom attends classes and wants to focus on aspects of their game. It is very cost effective overall considering you could be purchasing lengthy dvds or downloads and far better than scrolling through YouTube to attempt to find what you need. I wanted to print out the flowcharts (because I’m old school) so I used the in app chat, and I was offered not only a perfect solution, but great advice from the Professor on how to approach the holes in my game and the challenges I’m facing. As a school teacher myself and older guy, I really appreciate how easy it is to learn from from this and the flowcharts will definitely elevate your game if like me you’re nerdy enough to use them. Highly recommended..Version: 1.1.2

Huge help for my BJJ gameThis app as well as the full flowcharts has added a new dimension to my thought process on jiu jitsu. I'm really thankful that I found it!.Version: 1.2

Worth every penny.Outstanding app. Really useful to help trouble shoot your jiu jitsu if you are getting stuck in certain areas. Short and easy videos to follow and regularly updated. I honestly believe this is worth twice the price..Version: 1.1.3

Get Better At BJJ - Awesome Tool!I have been a fan of BJJFlowCharts for a long time. Their flowcharts make it easy to get the most out of instructionals in the shortest time. I was really excited when they released this app. It is filled with great techniques broken down and strung together in an intuitive way that makes learning them as easy as possible. I have limited time to train, and this app is a great tool that helps me learn new techniques, fill in gaps in my game, and reinforce things I already know. I highly recommend it if you want to get better at Jiu Jitsu..Version: 1.2

Great BJJ help found hereThe content on this app is set up in a very accessible way. Navigating through is straightforward. The videos and the paired flowcharts make it so you can quickly understand how the movements are all connected together. I’m on the newer end to the BJJ world. This app has been very helpful to and aided in improving my jiu-jitsu knowledge, skills, and abilities. Also, they are always adding new moves to the app making the value of it ever increasing. Fully recommend it!.Version: 1.2

Incredible appWas hesitant because of price but this app is the single most helpful study tool I’ve ever come across in jiu jitsu. Cannot recommend enough, it’s the price of a month’s membership at the gym but it has potential to level you up years in your ability..Version: 1.2

Seems like a good app so farSo far app seems decent. I like the UI and the fact that the videos show from different angles. It's good for bjj practitioners especially lower belts to mid belts. Good for studying detailed micro moved within the techniques which I like. Price is hefty but as long as developer keeps adding new techniques in line with current evolving jiu jitsu techniques I believe it would be a very good investment.Version: 1.1.3

Great AppThe flowcharts have made a tremendous difference in my BJJ game. As a blue belt trying to get to purple belt my game has started to be more transitional from position to position. It has made a worl of difference and it hasn’t gone unnoticed..Version: 1.2

Great app!Such a solid tool for all levels of BJJ practitioners - I’m a brown belt and get very solid tips and tricks in an easy to digest format. Recommended for all!.Version: 1.2

Transitional GoldBeen a quality way to organize a game plan to implement. Has helped me start to transition and link moves together. Highly recommend..Version: 1.2

BJJ is complicated, this app keeps it’s organizedAs a visual learner, I like being able to see how all of the techniques connect together in a flow chart. Super helpful for keeping my flows organized. There are tons of YouTube instructionals for specific techniques. This app organizes them and shows you how they all fit together in a bigger picture..Version: 1.2

Awesome app!Flowcharts with videos to match! This is how my brain works! Really happy to find this app..Version: 1.1.1

Great appThis has to be one of the best apps for a beginner out there. I started my BJJ journey a little under a year ago and used this app to learn new ideas and grow my knowledge. Would recommend!.Version: 1.2

BJJ at its bestI have always found that mind maps are the best way to learn Jiu Jitsu. This is by far one of the best apps. More importantly, they continue to update this with more and more content every week. Just get it -your Jiu Jitsu will thank you later..Version: 1.1.1

Exceptional Study ToolThe flowcharts have helped me organize techniques and visualize them in a systematic way. The videos that correspond with the techniques are easy to follow. Virtually every subject is covered, and there are constantly updates for new material. Additionally, the BJJFlowCharts team is good about you reaching out to them for any questions regarding the app or techniques..Version: 1.2

Great resource, hope to see moreThis is a helpful app, especially when starting out in BJJ. You can easily see the flowchart of techniques with video to remind you how each technique is performed. I hope they add an export option to print up a PDF( I know there are other workarounds but a PDF would be helpful) to have on a wall when I drill the flowchart. Currently, I use a whiteboard and copy the flowchart to work through with a partner. It’s a great tool to drill in common positions and how to move to a submission or achieve a superior position from which to attack. It’s an expensive app but if you’re serious about BJJ then it’s an investment in your journey..Version: 1.2

Genius!Very well organized encyclopedia of BJJ techniques in a unique, easy to use app. Well worth the one time payment especially with new techniques getting added over time at no additional cost. I hope to see the other flowchart series get there own app or get added to this app and unlocked with purchase..Version: 1.2

Let’s you see how everything fits togetherMax’s app and flowcharts are an absolute game changer. Compressive and detailed quick videos demonstrating the moves. The magic is in the flowcharts - gives you a logical sequence to go through. This app should cost a lot more. It’s not just an encyclopedia of techniques. The flowcharts show how techniques fit together (especially with your opponents reactions) and gives the big picture. I think this is the biggest value. It tracks well with John Danaher and Gordon Ryan’s instructionals. The videos are high quality, annotated, succinct, and show the technique from multiple angles. There are also written summaries for quick reference. It’s an impressive comprehensive reference. Max updates the app every week. He is also very responsive - there is a direct chat in the app with him. Probably the best BJJ investment I have made. My only gripe is that I can’t download the app for when I don’t have cell service. Honestly, I’d prefer other people don’t know about this app - like a secrete weapon - it’s that good..Version: 1.2

Absolute game changerIf you feel like you’re just figuring it out as you go on the mats with no real strategy. This app right here is about to change your game and level you up like nothing else. The easy break downs of techniques is incredible. Purchase this app it will be with every penny..Version: 1.2

RoadmapThis app has helped my game tremendously. I’m a purple belt. Been training for a little over 5 years and I can say that this app has helped simplify jiu Jitsu for me. I’m having more success all around. Max has done a great job giving precedence the highest percentage techniques that work at any level. I use this app not only to give direction to my own training but also when I teach JJ to my Krav Maga students when we study ground fighting. Definitely worth it..Version: 1.1.2

Amazing resourceThis is the single best resource you can ever have for BJJ! Huge library of effective techniques, organized in the most logical possible way, and frequently updated. Highest possible recommendation!.Version: 1.1.1

Great Jiu Jitsu Flowchart APPI use this app in my daily training it’s helped me navigate techniques and now is a added daily tool..Version: 1.2

Amazing!Amazing app, very well organized. True gem, definitely see myself getting better. 7 day free trial I would try it for yourself..Version: 1.0.3
