Yi Jing for Positive User Reviews

None better! If you are an I Ching/Yi Jing lover, this is the app to get. It is breathtaking in scope. It comes with a choice of several translations/interpretations and you can purchase more. Also, you can add brief or copious notes to your reading. I love this app and can not recommend it too highly!.Version: 4.1.1

Best I Ching appGreat app as it allows you to compare different translations at each reading..Version: 4.4.2

Ok, wow!I recently began to study the Yi Ching and came across this app. It is amazing! The price is a bit higher than standard apps but totally worth it! The design is great and very easy to understand especially for a newbie. In an age where there are some poorly designed apps out there, this one has some great attention to detail and accuracy. I hope you all consider doing a tarot card app next!.Version: 4.1.1

Great AppI've used the I-ching and book of changes for about 20 years. This is an innovative way of using the tool. People ask whether the I-ching can be effective online and in ways such as this app has to offer, and my personal feeling is that the I-ching answers genuine questions no matter in what medium, for all it's talk of ego why would it frown upon different styles to converse with it as being better or worse. As long as the asker is respectful and genuine this is as useful as using coins or yarrow sticks. Thanks for the app :).Version: 0

Wonderful beautifully rendered app. Perfect for iPadI would highly recommend this application to anybody who has an interest in the Oracle and has an iPad. The Yarrow sticks is a particularly good addition for the iPad, as are the enhancements to the user interface further improving the interaction. Access to multiple seamless translations available at the touch, help improve the richness of readings. Very good!.Version: 0

Yi JingExcellent app! The coin shaker is fun and the text very brief and terse..Version: 0

AmazingThis is as close to using the yarrow stalks as one can get without using the yarrow stalks!!!.Version: 4.4.2

Best iChing app hands down !!!Thanks for finally creating an app that makes the use of the iChing so accessible and comprehensive !! Finally, an implementation that takes advantage of a modern platform to improve the entire experience of this ancient methodology. The ability to access your choice of the main definitive translations, and the ability to record your results along with notes for later reference make this app a must have for beginners and for scholars..Version: 0

A very good app.Brilliant and enduring..Version: 4.4.2

A jewelFor fans of the i Ching this app is a jewel, simple and to the point. Easy to use and fun to read. I just one wish: That the Richard Wilhelm book would be available to consult. As in my humble opinion it is the I Ching bible..Version: 4.1.1

Useful & practicalGood for everyday life decisions, small questions and large. Surprisingly reliable and accurate outcomes; things seemed to line up. Indispensable if you’re a beginner and don’t have your books with you. Highly recommended!.Version: 4.4.2

Excellent and approachableVery nice application, succinct and I love it. If you are a beginner, you can learn I-Ching oracles with Book of Change references in your language (among many) day by day, even in a commuters train, which I think quite handy and easier than having 3 coins and a thick book. Journal is also very useful. If I could add something more advanced, I would ask additional tabs for 互卦(Mutual), 錯卦(Opposite), and 賓卦(Inverse) etc., for convenience..Version: 0

A reference library in your pocketThis app gives you access to a number of different ways of casting a hexagram - including transcribing one you’ve cast manually - as well as a “standard” translation of the I Ching. Then, if you wish, you can add one - or a number of- interpretive aid books, both long-established and “authoritative” like the Richard Wilhelm/Bollingen edition and new and innovative, including an I Ching workbook that’s very concise. After casting, I find it most useful to work my way through the standard interpretation and then work my way through one or two of the others, from more traditional to more modern, until I feel I’ve gotten a full grasp of what the I Ching has had to say to me that time. It’s as good as having a moderate-sized reference bookshelf, at a lower cost, and in your pocket..Version: 4.4.2

Outstanding. This app might be the single most useful way to begin learning and using the I Ching. The ability to compare interpretive sources is invaluable..Version: 4.4.2

Invaluable tool for personal insightLove this app. Have studied Taoism for many years and only now have I got the level of accessibility to the I Ching I have needed. If you're serious about improving your personal spiritual journey this app will provide you with the guide of guides, master of masters. Cast, interpret various quality translations, realise the meaning, cross relate to your own written notes. Brilliant..Version: 0

Best Yi Jing and TextsBeen using this app for years and it just gets better. With the R.L. Wing I Ching workbook built in, it is fantastic. Love this app. Best Yi Jing app period!.Version: 4.4.2

Perfect companion! This is a really good app for anybody who uses or would like to use the I Ching for guidance or as an aid to meditation. Not only can it provide a reading but also offers various versions of I Ching to help interpret the meanings. You can just read the books if you prefer to study each translation of the ancient text. Brian Arnold has provided a good modern interpretation that leaves room for you to meditate to find the deeper personal meaning of your reading. He also is very quick to respond to any requests (I asked if it was possible for my preferred translation to be added to the library). The beauty of the I Ching is the fact that it grows as you grow..Version: 0

Top notchVery comprehensive, elegant and thorough with choices that personalize the users experience. I am a diviner by profession and for me this is my go-to preferred way of divination when seeking clarity for myself or to refine a read for a client. It works well because of my experience in getting out the way and trusting when casting the Iching. A delightful and easy to use app. Well done..Version: 4.4

Totally essentialHas everything you could want for study, questions, guidance, notes, and question history..Version: 0

BeautifulA beautiful and fine way to use the book of changes. Thank you, I love it..Version: 0

Very good but...It's missing Richard Wilhelm's translation. Wilhelm did in my view the best translation and most touching commentary and it is a must. I hope the developer gets rights to add and sell that beautiful book through his app in UK (Wilhelm is available in US only). App's interface is just great and deserves 5 stars with the inclusion of Wilhelm..Version: 2.4.3

My SanityI’ve been consulting with the Iching for about 30 years. I forget how long I’ve been using this app to consult. . . But suffice it to say, this is the only app I use for consulting. I have all the various books available. And I use them all in various situations. Great app..Version: 4.4.2

In following the PotterI speak with the Sage at key moments of questioning in my life. The answers here are potent, always succinct & right on the issue at hand. With much gratitude, Bernadette.Version: 4.4.2

Well organized app. Excellent library. The new version based in the Lines is amazing.Includes all the classic translations. But most notably includes Nigel Richmond’s fundamental recasting of the meaning of the lines - which is my first go-to for readings. Amazingly accurate..Version: 4.4.2

Nice, App. And I’m a Book purist.Nice selection of I Ching translations. Good tracking method too..Version: 4.4.2

The best I Ching appDefinitely the best I Ching app (with the greatest respect to the others, obvs!) This one has a really good interface with clear and authentic ways to call upon the oracle... Including coins, and even yarrow stalks. Also an excellent library of translations and interpretations of the book. It all adds up to the most convincing and insightful modern way to read this 3000 year old masterpiece!.Version: 4.2

The best I Ching app by farMultiple translations and good journaling capabilities..Version: 4.4.2

GreatUsed it for many years now. Love it..Version: 4.4.2

The best app hands downTo have the complete Wilhelm translation is already amazing, the diary makes it sublime, the sync with Cloud takes it to another dimension! The library of translations is also fantastic and the choices of method are very satisfying. Brilliant all round..Version: 4.4.2

An excellent piece of kit.By far the best I Ching app for iPad and iPhone. Intelligent choice of translations jwshms including the ground breaking interpretation of Nigel Richmond..Version: 4.4.2

Totally worth it.This app is an excellent resource for cultivating a better understanding of the I Ching. Switching between translations is easy and the comprehensive array of casting methods includes the ability to manually enter results so ritual can be preserved..Version: 4.1.1

Great APP! Update on ReviewThe original review is below when I gave a three star. To correct the review please know that all purchases of additional books in app to add to your library are accessible for down load on multiple devices. You just buy it once. The app WILL be updated according to app representative in the weeks ahead to allow your journals to be synced across multiple devices so that iPhone and iPad have the same entries, notes etc. COMING SOON hopefully. The app deserves 5 stars. Just got this app and have used a few days. I am a new student of the I Ching and find this way of exploring the Oracle a very good experience. One thing though that must be added that apparently the app will not do and that is to sync the journals and books with multiple devices. I have two iPads and an iPhone. I want to have the ability to journal and note on one and sync with all my devices. I don't see where that is possible just yet. Also, book purchases for the library should be required ONLY once and then downloadable to all devices. This doesn't seem to be the case either since I expanded my library and synced on iTunes and none of the purchased books transferred or copied to my other devices. Thus, my less than perfect rating..Version: 2.4.3

Great resource.Thank you..Version: 4.0.3

Wonderful advice on any situationLiterally saved my relationship with my son..Version: 4.4.2

Ancient Wisdom! 🌟🌀💫One of my most favorite apps hands down. -Louisa McCune, Oklahoma City.Version: 4.4.2

AwesomeThis is seriously one of the best apps I have ever used. The amount of resources in such a usual email fashion is amazing! You won’t be disappointed..Version: 4.4.2

Intuitive implementationThis is a very good presentation of the IChing using a range of excellent translations which can be chosen quickly from the cast hexagram page along with other options. It has a journal in which to compose and store time and dated questions for future reference. It certainly has much in common, the ‘feel’ of, say, the Wilhelmina/Barns version. A classy user experience. This is why I think the recent addition of illustrations amongst the text is inappropriate as these are a distraction from the formulation of one’s own imagery. I’d preferred it without illustrations but thanks for the typo corrections. Is there any way to remove the pictures?.Version: 4.3

Brilliantly designed appI rarely take the time to write reviews, but I could not be more impressed with how thoughtfully designed and easy to use this app is. The texts available in the library are well-curated, the app makes it extremely easy to track and journal readings, and it is simple to switch back and forth between various interpretations in different books without losing your place. A wealth of information is available here in a very user friendly format. Highly recommended!.Version: 4.4.1

Beautifully designed app with extraordinary featuresA friend introduced me to the I Ching almost 45 years ago. To have access to my favorite translations as well as several others in an app is amazing. There is so much to like here. You have my profound thanks for this!.Version: 4.1.1

Best companion along with Wilhelm-Jung editionA good portal for entrance into study of the sage & Dao of self.Version: 4.4.2

Used dailyLovely app. Thank you..Version: 2.2.2

Beautiful and reverentAn elegantly designed vehicle for thousands of years of ancient wisdom. Thanks!.Version: 2.4.1

Excellent, easy to use and completeThis is really the I-Ching app to have people! Very easy to use, choose which text from a large number of complete translations. Perfect for old & new users thank you. Only ask to add 'The Buddhist I-Ching' as requested, with very quick response I might add! :).Version: 4.0

Best Yi appHas easy to intuit use, pleasant setup, and downloadable books from some of my favorite and best scholars so you can walk around with a divinatory library. Please get Carol Anthony's book too!.Version: 4.1.1

Great App, best Yi Jing by far!For the integrated ebooks alone this is well worth the price. The interface is elegant, effective. The ability to keep a journal, the ability to set probability to match Yarrow stalk reading, just a great app for I Ching nuts..Version: 0

Superb, Oustanding, Marvelous!Technically this is the best designed app I have ever used. It is easy to use, has a clean attractive layout, and manages to include access to multiple facets meaning with each hexagram. With all of my heart I wish I could get this app designer to fix all the other apps I have down loaded. The design is perfect! I can switch between translations, read indicated lines, see future hexagrams, find the internal trigram images, or view a matrix of related hexagrams with a single touch. A word about the translations. This version of the Yi Jing from flat earth studio has four good translations of the I Ching preloaded. The Wilhem-Baynes version which all other versions can only be compared to can be added for 4.99 or you can buy the other flat earth studio version of the app which only has the Wihelm?Baynes translation. If you have the money I recommend that you get this version and add the Wihelm translation to it. Sometimes the other versions add that extra bit of insight..Version: 4.4.2

Thank youAn amazing combination of treatments of the I Chin Archerg. Especially impressed by Carol Anthony’s..Version: 4.4.2

Superb.!!Superb App, Excellent Choice of Books available...!! Would highly recommend this... if in doubt, buy it, you will be pleased you did. First rate app support too..!! Thank You to Developer.!.Version: 3.0.4

Fantastic Resource! This app is now my go to resource for I Ching readings and the books that can be purchased to add to your library are the best I Ching references. Having multiple books enhances the interpretations of the Hexagrams..Version: 4.4.2

Best Pocket OracleThis app is so convenient, in that I can consult at my desk, the bathroom or wherever, without all the physical materials and time to get the direction I need. Until I can figure out how to converse with the ALL directly, this is the next best thing!.Version: 4.4.2

Yi JingI have lived this app for probably eight years and would have rated it five stars most of that time. Today, it opens and closes immediately. I tried turning off the iPhone and re-installing. No luck. No other way to contact. Later: Yes, I love this app again. It’s now working. Thank you..Version: 4.1.1

Very Useful OracleDesigned and operates really well. I specially appreciate they offer Carol Anthony’s book as one of their resources.. I’ve used this app for a number of years and it’s been a reliable and wise companion.....Version: 4.4.2

Great app - It’s wonderfulThe amount of work that must have gone into making such a great app - this is a wonderful way to explore the IChing in a different way..Version: 4.4.2

I Ching =the oracle of the cosmic way ,by Anthony/moogThis is the best of the best, a magic book. Been using it for many years..Version: 4.4.2

A great I Ching guide with multiple texts for oracles and academicsThis is a understated elegant App which, for the price, should appeal to any with an interest in Yi Jing / I Ching/ Book of Changes/ Zhou Yi, whether for divination; as a book of wisdom; or from an academic interest in what is a classic and hugely important Chinese text, with verifiable and substantial roots going back at least 3000 years to the bronze age. Understated elegance isn’t quick or easy to pull off, and the author, Brian Arnold is to be congratulated. The major innovation and utility of the App, whatever your interest, is the ability to switch and compare different texts on the the hexagrams and lines. Here, copyright intrudes on perfection. But Brian Arnold has done a good job, and shown care and insight, in selecting a number of texts, amongst those open for use, that reflect a range of approaches to the Yi Jing. There’s Carol Antony’s guide that follows closely the Confucian / Wilhelm / Jung / Barnes tradition, giving one framework of wisdom and morals for movers and shakers in society and business. Then there’s a more personal ‘humane‘ Tao/Dao version by Frank Kegan, in the spirit of of Gia-Fu Feng (search ‘Gia-Fu Feng, Jane English, Tao te Ching’ to see just how influential they have been in the west regarding Tao). Third, if you want to get back to something close to the original terse, highly allusionary, pre Confucian Chinese texts, free of centuries of interpretation, with English translation and commentary, this is provided by Gregory Richter. In addition, you have Brian Arnold’s own interpretation; an abridgment of the original German Wilhelm text; a German version of Antony’s book; and also a more mainstream Chinese interpretation. That’s pretty good value. Of course one might want full texts, such as Wilhelm. Some texts can be tracked down on the net, but many of the most fascinating come from an explosion of information arising from archaeology and other sources in the last couple of decades, and that means they are covered by copyright. In any case, incorporating full texts may well be overwhelming, and an iPhone is probably not the ideal tool for prolonged reading. Nevertheless the incorporation of an ability to import texts would be a welcome addition that would open up some options for the user. Also, hexagram texts are generally read from the bottom up, so a way of reversing the default order in the App would be useful. But these are minor niggles, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the author doesn’t come up with refinements. And be aware that some settings need to be set via the ‘Settings’ App. For divination, the creation of hexagrams can be done by ‘shaking the coins’ which for me is implemented in a neat and ‘untacky’ way. If you divine using yarrow stalks, you probably wouldn’t want to generate hexagrams on an iPhone, but it the application does allow you to use the coins to generate the different probabilities for broken and unbroken lines that come from using the stalks. Or you can enter the lines manually. While a tarot user might well feel uneasy at using computer generated spreads, according to C.J. Jung, when he asked the I Ching how it ‘felt’ about being introduced to a western audience, it was quite unfazed by innovations. Indeed some (going way back in China) have seen the I Ching as not involving occult spiritual (or ancestral) forces, but rather an impersonal cosmic order operating mechanistically - a combination of the fall of the coins being intrinsically of the same moment when the question was phrased and asked, coupled with the idea that small events now - the fall of the coins - are linked to big events in the future - the same thought behind the notion that the flutter of a butterfly’s wings now affects the path of a storm at some future time. For what it’s worth, following Jung, I asked the I Ching ‘What do you think of this App?’ and it came back with Hexagram 19 Approach, with no changing lines. From which I read, in the texts provided with the App, that “We attain the assistance of the sage … However we should be aware that times change” and also that “an enlightened person is inexhaustible in their willingness to teach and without limit in their support of others”. So you could say ‘it’ seems pretty happy … Of course you can also just browse through the hexagram texts! If you have casually stumbled across the I Ching then beware. You run the enjoyable risk of ‘falling down the rabbit hole’ into an extraordinary and diverse world where diviners, bishops and senior academics from west and east intermingle. This App is a great start. if you want more, my tip is do a web search, first for ‘biroco’, and then rutt, shaughnessy, or lynn..Version: 0

Excellent.Excellent app all round. Highly recommended! Thank you..Version: 4.0.3

The one app I can't live withoutI've had this app for 6 years now (!) and it's the one app that I can't live without. The translated reference sources are varied, insightful and clear, and provide variety of perspectives. The sources range from modern interpretation (with multi language support) to classical versions in Chinese (character and phonetic systems). The UI is clear and highly functional, and is well maintained by the developer with regular updates. This one app has gradually replaced every single book I had on the subject. Highly recommended..Version: 4.0.3

The Best tool for reading the I Ching.I have been using this application for the last 4+ years. When it first came out it was good and since has become absolutely amazing. I have yet to find a better application on any other platform. The ability to switch between the various published versions is helpful in gaining a greater overall understanding of the reading. I have been waiting to see a MacOS version release as I value this application that much. It has assisted in my study of the I Ching more than can be expressed as it is always in my pocket ready to reference. I respect the incredible amount of time and effort that the developers poured into producing this incredible tool. The fact that you were able to obtain permission to publish some of the more prominent works on the study of the I Ching can only be stated as utterly fantastic and greatly appreciated. I look forward to seeing what you accomplish with this application in the future. Keep up the amazing work! Paul.Version: 4.1.1

Best i-ching app!!THE i-ching app to get: it's fantastic. very easy and intuitive to use, with many features... and the ability to use different book interpretations. plus it looks great without any superfluous or distracting details. totally recommended..Version: 4.4.2

Very usefulHaving studied the yi jing since I was a child I can confirm this apps quality. Highly recommended. Could benefit with a few more English translations though..Version: 2.2.1

The Best App Ever! The ability for me to add other books to the app is very helpful. Brian Arnold, the developer, has also studied the Yi Jing (I Ching). I very much appreciate and trust the efficacy of the app, and the generosity of spirit it offers us by its superb tools and variety of readings..Version: 4.4.2

AmazingIt’s perfect. I love it so much..Version: 4.4.2

A great appIf you're into this sort of thing then this app does not disappoint. Good to know it remains under active development given that I still turn to it from time to time..Version: 3.1

Yi Jing - Modern VersionI have since 1969 regularly consulted the Richard Wilhelm translation called, I Ching, and learned much in terms of understanding a situation and the quality of one's attitude that is most appropriate to deal with it. I consider it the classic translation, the ultimate version. Never having learned enough and for ease of handling this ancient oracle, I tried this modern version and I find myself deeply touched by the different wording in which the struggle with one's ego is explicitly highlighted, something the RW translation never did so clearly. Yet the same spirit of solid wisdom is clearly represented. It shines a totally new light on my vision and judgement of what I experience and I would like to thank those who have realised this application whole heartedly. I never thought that I could find a better version than the RW but here it is for me. I am truly grateful..Version: 2.3.1

Enhances everything about studying and using the Yi JingThis app is simply wonderful. It enhances everything about using the I Ching has a tool for divination. It is priced right and allows you to purchase all of the most excellent translations--e.g. Balkin and Huang. Allows you to use multiple methods of generating a hexagram including manual input and automatically finds the primary and secondary hexagrams and produces a reading using whatever text you want. This makes interacting with and studying the I Ching a pleasure. No other app or indeed standalone text comes close to producing the same enriching experience. The UI is dated but the app continues to work almost flawlessly under iOS 7. The only problem I have encounters is that the text of the summaries sometimes becomes too large and is clipped, so that one has to navigate away from the summary and return to it to restore the normal sized text. Whenever I encounter an app that uses pre iOS 7 conventions I worry that they may become abandon ware. I sincerely hope that is not the case with this app. I would gladly pay more to see this app continue it's development. It is peerless..Version: 3.1.1

This is the best.I love this app. Anyone trying to decide which I Ching to get should put this at the top of their list - it's accessible and authoritative, with a great interface you can tailor to suit. Links to a helpful selection of texts let's you choose a voice and tone that suit you. Costs a few dollars more, but well worth it..Version: 3.0.4

Verry happy.I am using the app sins 2 years ago. I am very happy about it. It is very complex but easy to use. I highly recommend it. Lade Merida E Lada.Version: 4.4.2

Great app! This is the best I Ching app I've found so far, I get a lot better readings from this than any other app I've tried - it has real heart. With 4 different interpretations to draw from, you get a real depth to the reading. Suggestions for improvement would be a quicker way to get between books on a reading, and some more depth to the hexagram readings - two paragraphs just scratches the surface..Version: 0

I ChingI am an I Ching user for 40 years. At first I was skeptical of this app, but, what the hell, it's only $5?? What a surprise! It's really clever and very helpful. It includes 4 commentaries. But something was missing. I am very familiar with the Richard Wilhelm version and the R.L. Wing version. After a couple of days I discovered that these commentaries are available as apps within the app. (look under Store). They cost $5 & $7 respectively. Well worth it considering the book costs. So with these 2 commentaries I feel complete..Version: 2.3.1

RebecaAmbrosioIt is a fun oracle..Version: 4.4.2

Wonderful appI wrote a review for an earlier version of this app that said it had much potential, but not the major I Ching translations. That has now changed. This app is not only feature rich, but contains the best translation in the English Language (Wilhelm) It has the ability to change the way the lines are produced (coins/yarrow, etc), to look at the meaning of each line and to keep a searchable journal of previous entries. There are only two things I could imagine for improvement ... it would be nice to be able to make the reading text fullscreen, and it would be nice to password protect some entries. But these are minor quibbles when set against the features that are here. Five stars in this new form.Version: 3.0.1

Wonderful.I have only used this a handful of occasions but the divination have been spot on. Very happy to have this wisdom in my pocket..Version: 4.4.2

Best I Ching app I have foundThere are countless methods to do your reading, you can type notes and a title for important questions and your thoughts on any reading, tons of resources to get different angles on your reading, and best of all you can password your readings so other people will never know what you did readings on!.Version: 4.1.1

Versatile, effective, beautifulUnmentioned in the reviews I read before buying, is the fact that you have 7 different translations to choose from. Ranging from the original Chinese, to 2 German translations, including the original Wilhelm, in German, to several English translations, including the most excellent Baynes translation of the Wilhelm. You can also, in the settings control, change the probabilites from a coin model to a yarrow stick model, and flip the values of the coins. Journaling your oracles enables you to go to the Book settings, hit the icon at upper left and switch to alternate translations to read over your oracle with several different takes on the Chinese. This app is the perfect implementaiton of the iChing... the only improvemens I can suggest are the future addition of other translations to the impressive list already offered. Not the cheapest, but worth every cent..Version: 0

I love itIt’s great, and the music is perfect. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.Version: 4.2

ImpressiveI have owned and studied the Wilhelm translation of the Yi Jing for over 35 years. I’ve been waiting for an app that is worthy of the wisdom of this ancient resource, that provides all the angles and variations required to contemplate its many secrets - and this app definitely delivers. The interactivity and navigation of the features is pretty intuitive although if you’re new to the Yi Jing you won’t understand what many things mean. Congratulations to the developers who’ve created a Chinese Book of Changes app that is worthy of the ages! Post note: I did have some problems downloading and installing. The first time it didn’t install correctly and failed to open multiple times. I had to delete the app, power my phone off and on, then download-install again. The second time it worked well..Version: 4.1.1

Love it love it love itI’ve been doing the yi ching for 35 years. I was apprehensive at first using an app, still kind of am, not sure why. That’s sad four years ago and became legally blind, I can read but it’s arduous. On my phone I can highlight it and make my phone read it to me. Also I just love there are different books and translations. I have about five. At least two or Wednesday I have on my bookshelf. I also love I can do this anytime anywhere. I put myself into a meditative state give me a buzz just review minutes and I’ll do it on public transportation do it at a break at work anytime an issue comes up it is in my heart and thoughts, in my viscera I throw the i ching ...Version: 4.4.2

Past entries don't migrate into new phonesApart from that, a very well designed app..Version: 4.0.1

Great App, I Love itI’ve used this app for a few years now and was very pleased to have found it. I used a previous Mac based program developed at Princeton University which I really loved, beautiful artwork and soothing music, but as it required a version of the OS no longer available for years I was without a handy tool like this one. Others I tried just didn’t “feel” right, and by that I mean the algorithm that replicates the randomness of the coin or yarrow stalk toss to generate the hexagrams. The results just didn’t seem to match the question as I’d experienced when using the manual method. I didn’t feel the insight into the current situation as I had in the past. This app felt right from the first “toss”. I use both the iPad and iPhone versions, and just did a reading on the iPad. When I picked up my iPhone there it was. I’ve reloaded this app on several iPhones and iPads and my old readings thankfully are always there. I highly recommend this beautiful program. May you find wisdom and humility, and make the journey across the great water to find your center and the peace that brings from the storms of life...Version: 4.0.3

Translations good, need to explore upgradesI’ve used Wilhelm book for 30+ years. When I purchased upgrade, it was not immediately apparent how the books & commentaries were accessible in Library/Books, where you can select different translations. Excellent app, additional user notes would be appreciated- but explore app!.Version: 4.4.2

May be my favorite app everI continue to be stunned by the complexity, depth, and ease-of-use of this app! Tapping on the icons along the top brings up invaluable information that I have not found anywhere else. Michael Tingle's Mandala option for casting the coins is beautiful and a joy to use. I spent considerable trying to get Nigel Richmond two books on the I Ching which resulted in an almost illegible PDF version. Then I discovered that this app has them!! You can add to your library and then switch between the books to enhance understanding. The one improvement I would recommend is developing a “dark mode" option so I could read these books at night please please please….Version: 4.4.2

Real? There are a lot of whys to devine the world and life, and I have played with a lot of them (Ouija, tarot, etc.). However, nothing comes close to being something “real” as the Yi Jing. It’s nothing to play with, but if you’re looking for true insights, I personally think the Yi Jing is something to seriously consider. Careful what you ask, it might tell you the truth..Version: 4.4.2

Well designed . FunctionalDifferent ways to cast . Many interpretations ( comes with four) with a built in store to get more . It's good to look at all the interpretations to gain a better underlying meaning . I also like the journal of the previous castings ..Version: 2.4.3

Very nice app, good designThe best yi jing software I have ever used. easy to use, good journaling capability, many books (free or paid) and consultation methods to choose from. the bad: exporting via email is very weak. app sometimes crashes..Version: 2.4

Very usefulWould be incredible if James DeKorne’s work was added to the lines library..Version: 4.4.2

This Apps is excellent!I have questions need some guidance and this apps came through with the perfect answer at the moment..Version: 4.4.2

EssentialMy constant companion for years now - the updates have been super, and the reference books I most valued are available through the app. So appreciated..Version: 4.2

Superbly flexible Y Ching appI was particularly pleased when the Huang book was added to the library. And I like the pinyin book too. This app has an authority that most I Ching lacks..Version: 4.0.3

Very nice implementationI really like the new ways of casting that are also included! They seem to work just as well as the more traditional methods. Its great the way different resources and books can be chosen for the interpretations and new material can be added as desired. Having studied and used this means of self-development and divination for some years I bought this app without much in the way of expectation but it has proved to be as valuable as my texts..Version: 3.0.1

The Best YetI’ve had this app for many years but the latest update has significantly improved performance. The app now loads much faster and switching books has become a seamless process.... great improvement top job!.Version: 4.1.1

The best iching app I have used so far.I tried several of the “free” ones, and even purchased one of them. In my opinion this is the best of the lot. Very well done..Version: 4.4.2

The bestUsed for over 5 years. Tried almost all methods and apps and this rules. The library alone is worth the price..Version: 4.4.2

Really great YiJing app - the bestHi, have been using the Yi Jing for 44 years now and this honestly the best app out. It lets you keep a journal (even add your hexagrams manually), use a dice, yarrow sticks, coins, read through an extensive list of the hexagrams, it comes with several books you can use for interpretation. What more could you ask for. Maybe put your own interpretation input (the ultimate in deluxe). Thank you for making. Really appreciate ❤️.Version: 4.4.2

AwesomeI have come to really appreciate this app. I am not an app person and I try not to spend much time on my phone, so the idea of taking a sacred book and putting it into an app as well as divination was not easy for me to appreciate at first. After my son was born, when he napped on me for long periods of time, I found it very difficult to hold a book and turn the page etc without waking him. This was the initial impulse to try this app out. Now I have many versions of the I Ching at my disposal ( my favorite is RW version) as well as the ability to throw coins even though I can’t move the rest of my body! Thanks to this app I can study the I Ching while my son dreams away. Let’s not forget that the tai chi Master Da Liu was interested in computerizing the I Ching and was one of the first to develop it in its first form way back when. I think Master Da Liu would love this app.Version: 4.4.2

Excellent.A very well constructed app. I the only problem really is the price, I realise that there is a lot of work involved but the application plus any extra translations is very expensive. Also the full Wilhelm/Baynes translation is not availible for the UK market yet which is a little disapointing. I think if the app was cheaper it would reach a greater number of people. Other than that I applaud the work of the creator who obviously worked very hard in producing what is probably the best I Ching divination tool availble in the store..Version: 2.2.1

Been using this app for years nowI learned to read the traditional coin method in 1991. I really appreciate this app as a convenient way to do readings on the go and store them easily--in a way that can be accessed and shared from anywhere and won't get lost. My only suggestion is the add Master Huang's classic book back into the interpretations available to select in the app..Version: 4.1.1
