✓ New update Stinks!I’ve had this app for many years now. I loved it because it was a stand alone KJV with audio. I also was able to purchase the Strong’s Concordance. These were the only 2 products I was interested in. The ability to share image and verse together was a feature I used daily for over 3 years, sharing on social media. The simplicity of this app was what I loved and desired in a Bible Study App until the new update forced an update changing everything. There is now so much extra that my experience is overwhelming. Sure, I’ve learned how to use only the version I wanted. But the search feature in overloaded with topics that just clutter the page. Scrolling after a word by is searched is awful because the page skips multiple passages due to the way it’s designed. The simple app that I once loved is now so extra to navigate. There is also ads on the page that wasn’t there before, mind you I purchased the Strongs add on many years ago. I had recommended the app to several people in my church’s Bible study group who now feel the same way I do. We’d love to have been made to pushed update and kept the old faithful stand alone version. I inquired helped and the developer did send videos but nothing takes the extras away. ✓ Terrible, Horrible, updateThis was the best Bible app out there. But Tecarta have just ‘forced’ their ‘Life Bible’ upon the KJV Bible. The ‘update’ is classic bloatware that defeats the objective of a Bible app. It’s simply the worst possible update, to a point where it’s actually ‘sabotage’ of a functioning app. A company totally out of touch with its customers. For the love of God, please STOP - with this ‘new’ terrible update that is beyond horrendous. Just keep the v8 app available for Christians who want to read the Bible on a phone. ✓ Worse revamped appI bought a lot of Bible versions with the older app. Then came the revamped app. I tried, and did not use, because it did not do search and navigation smoothly; it also was not lite and agile as the original. ✓ Using the word of God as a Marketing platformSo I bought this app about five years ago. At which time there were no ads. After a while that changed to having ads relating to Christian related products. However, in the past two tears that has change to using google ads which have nothing to do with the word of God. And some of these are pretty inappropriate. Now They are using the word of God as a marketing platform, for things that have nothing to do with the word of God or the polar opposite to the word for God. ✓ RUINED WITH UPDATEWe don’t need tutorial lessons on how to use the app. We don’t care that all of our features that we had before are still there. We see that you keep responding to all of us that do not like this app, as if, we just need training to learn to love this app. We don’t. We just do not want this new version at all. ✓ $13 NRSV Edition missing the entire apocrypha.I paid $13AUD for the NRSV Bible add on which states in its description that it contains all of the books (the apocrypha) including Maccabees. However none of the content is in there. All it contains is the NRSV translation, with no additional material. This was a complete waste of money and is another case of false advertising. Also, this app is getting so slow when trying to open it to the point where it’s freezing. I just downloaded another app for FREE that had the entire apocrypha in the NRSV translation. ✓ Update should be revokedThis used to be a 10 star Bible. I could easily create quick notes while watching sermons, go to different text and back arrow back to the previous verse in my phone. On my iPad I enjoyed the split screen with turning pages for reading. I notice in the description of the update it says “pages turn like reading a book”, but with all the horrendous amount of unwanted bloatware I’m not finding it. I can’t even easily take notes because if i miss the exact spot something else comes up. What they’ve done to an absolutely perfect app i’ve been using since 2019 is unconscionable. ✓ RIP dear truthI made about a decades worth of notes, which were probably the most precious thing that I had in this world. I used to love this app until one day I opened it and all of them were gone. I called “Support” and all they told me was I didn’t sync my data and that there was no way they could do anything for me. The conversation was about 3 to 5 minutes of me saying “of course since this is the most precious thing to me, I am always very focused on syncing my data on a regular basis isn’t there a backup for my data!?!” “No sorry nothing we can do for you” When I lost it all, it really felt like a family member died and I’ve mourned for the precious things that I’ve gathered over the years from every day until today. ✓ New version is frustrating and not very ergonomicIn the old version you would hit a verse and the copy and all the options would pop up right next to your thumb, this version seems more optimized for desktop or tablet maybe? It is sort of easier to switch between notes and stuff, but the buttons are so much smaller that I accidentally hit a different view than I want or I get the “multiview” pop up reminder on accident all the time. It’s really hard to work with and I might switch to something else. They have like 4 versions of the app and as best I can tell they’re all the same, I don’t see why they wouldn’t just leave up the “classic” version and just push compatibility updates only..NalkrosVersion: 10.1.037

✓ Time to find a new KJV Bible appWith the newest update they have taken God’s word and monetized it. When I use this application ADs are now shown. After using this app for years it’s finally time to find a new one. I’ve never cared for Bible studies or other extra curricular programs on here, I just use it to read daily verses and study the word of God. Now I can’t even study the Bible without having ADs shoved down my throat. The worst part is I can pay a small fee to remove ADs for a year. I’d be happy to pay to remove ADs permanently but I’m not allowing them to milk me for money. ✓ Noxious UpdateI have been using this app for years—greatly enjoying and being ministered to by the daily verse. Now, my guts wrench with disgust each time I open the app.🤢 Since a major update to the user interface, not only did they eliminate my ability to screenshot and share the beautiful quotes with other saints with some garish pop up, but if I want to go read the context of the verse, it forces me into an ad. ✓ New update ruined this app.This app was easy to use before the update. Now it is difficult and clunky. What I could do before with ONE click/touch/swipe now takes three or four. Bookmarks page now stays on the screen, taking up half the app space. Before, it went away when bookmark chosen. Since I use ipad notes on the the other half of the screen, the Bible text is now 1/4 screen—not much space. Search is much more difficult. It searches for all the words typed as if they are a phrase rather than in no particular order. If I want to stop it from searching for all words as if they are in a phrase, it requires an extra click—EACH TIME I DO A SEARCH. There are many similar ways they made this app less functional. ✓ Format changed.I use to enjoy reading the scriptures from my phone with the previous format. I also used my phone as well as my Bible on Sundays during worship service. When my pastor made reference to other scriptures, I used my phone to get right to that scripture to read for myself. As it appears now, that’s going to be a delayed issue since I just can’t go right to a scripture. It depends I may just delete this app altogether. I’m using my deceased mother’s Bible and it’s cover has begun to get frayed. I’ll probably get a Bible with two versions that’s used mostly at my church. ✓ Don’t like the new updateBefore the new update I’d have given this app 5 stars, but with the new layout I just can’t anymore. have tried many different apps and ended up settling on this one due to how it looked and worked, it was simple and didn’t throw pop ups at you. Since the update stuff is in a different spot, the verse finder is fiddly and annoying now when before it just worked. And it occasionally throws ads at you which while there aren’t many it’s painful. One problem I am having is the ad that pops up following reading the daily Bible verse. It won’t go off and I have to end up closing out the app and opening it back up to read The Bible. ✓ Not what it used to be.I’ve used Tecarta for a very long time and have always recommended it to others but this most recent update (at least for iOS) does not work properly, whenever I look up a word(s) it just buffers and buffers and buffers whereas before it pulled up multiple uses throughout the Bible fairly quickly and was perfect for learning and studying but now I find myself considering looking elsewhere for an app as good as Tecarta USED to be. ✓ The app was perfect about a few years ago before they sold outI am purposely not updating my cell phone so I can keep using an older version of this app. “I’m writing this on my newer ipad.” Let’s be honest, you only need the King James version. You don’t need the other versions other than to see how messed up they are “heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away“ is a promise from the Lord Jesus Christ to preserve his word, so why are the other versions missing tons of verses? Next the Bible commentaries are absolutely ridiculous. I don’t care what some unsaved person thought of the Bible.
