Tree Id identify UK trees for Positive User Reviews

Tree IDIf you’re not an expert on trees, then this app is for you. We recently moved and we are now able to identify the trees both in our garden and the surrounding area. It’s an eye opener to how many varieties there actually are, and the app allows you to see what is right in front of you. Marvellous!.Version: 8.8

Lovely appThis does just what it says it will, and is as nicely organized and illustrated as you’d hope. They’ve got other apps too - I went nuts and bought the lot, and have not regretted it. Good stuff!.Version: 8.8

Great app one thing missingThis is a very good app, one thing that would make it better would be if you could use the camera to identify the leaves, flowers and bark. Other than that one thing it would be five stars..Version: 8.05

Great in your pocket identifierAlways wanted to be able to identify accurately the beautiful trees that I come across. This hits the nail on the head. Easy train use, gives you percentage hit rate based on the questions you answer. The. You can look at pictures to compare. You can even mark the trees you have found on the map. Definitely a must have. Works on iPad well but great to have on the iPhone so that you always have it..Version: 8.8

MagnificentThis is a magnificent app, whether you are a complete novice and need to loom up every tree and shrub you see or are more knowledgable but want to identify the more arcane or rare species. The ID system us the best I have come across and works as well on phone or tablet. Keep it going!.Version: 8.8

Tree IDI love this ap - we've recently moved to the wilds of Norfolk from the wilds of Essex (yup! A superhuman effort to travel so far!). Seriously though, since arriving here I've found myself being more interest in the trees surrounding us. Equally, having the Bird ID App (from the same studio I believe), I find myself taking a greater interest in the birds in the area.... Having these two apps I seemed to want to know what that tree or bird I've discovered on my travels - can't get this sort of encouragement (in such a passive way) from many other Apps. No, I'm not going start wearing tweed nor a deer-stalker upon my head 😄😄😎.Version: 8.05

Tree appJust excellent really. So important to know this stuff and tree I'd helps. I guess a little more on ecology would be good. I mean that some invasion keeps the eco system fresh. It's a fine balance between invasion damage and long term benefit. But excellent app nonetheless..Version: 8.05

So handy! This is just like having a digital guide book to trees in your pocket. Just like their other apps, this is just the right level of information to carry in your pocket..Version: 8.8

If you really want to enjoy the countryside...You can't truly appreciate the diversity of the rural landscape without having some understanding of the trees that populate it -- and what better way to gain that understanding than with the delightful pictures and potted summaries to be found in this application? You can even enjoy the scenery from the comfort of an armchair. What's not to like?.Version: 8.8

Really usefulHave had this for years now and it's so much better than carrying a book or taking a leaf home..Version: 8.05

A top rated app!A very useful and comprehensive app., with regular updates. I don't believe there can be anything better! Well done to the people behind it, as there has been a lot of time and work spent in putting this together..Version: 8.05

Very handy guideAnything that helps with identity is great. You can take always pictures with any device and then check at home on the tree app if you haven’t got it with you. I love it. Yes more trees and parkland trees would be better, but... Maybe a second app with more trees at a higher price?....Version: 8.8

Tree IDA brilliant app I use it regularly have the app on my iPhone so I always have access to it when I am out and about very happy to give it 5 stars.Version: 8.05

Wonderful appA fantastic app! My knowledge of trees has truly sawed since purchasing this. This app is rooted in good science and often branches out into aspects like furniture, firewood etc. Everything is covered, it leaves nothing out. Have to go now, my dog has just barked..Version: 8.05

Now we know!We have always had a problem identifying trees whilst out walking but now we can confidently say what they are. Thank you.Version: 8.05

Great appGot this a few years ago & use it more and more to the extent I bought the collection. Great for foraging or landscaping and gardening. My only irk is the quiz & pictures. Although I play it daily I think it could be improved if there were multiple pictures of the item in question. Like I said tho, I still play it daily!.Version: 8.05

Good learning toolGot this years ago. Not super simple to ID a tree, but easy to narrow down to a few candidates. We live near woodland and it’s good to be able to ID trees you pass every day..Version: 8.8

BrilliantI live in Devon and I needed an app to recognise all the different trees that grow in our old Victorian garden. This app is definately the answer and it also tells you which are best for the fire when they unfortunately have to sometimes be taken down..Version: 8.05

A very useful appDefinitely adds value to walks in the country and in parks. It's very quick and straightforward to use. Love it. However, I often go to Kew Gardens and it doesn't always work well there as not all the trees are native. It would be great to have an app that took account of non-native species as well..Version: 8.05

Handy AppGreat for those difficult to identify trees. Makes it really easy, with loads of information.Version: 9.0

Easy to navigate great to identifyJust downloaded this to my iPhone and so still finding my way around but finding it very intuitive. Would like to have a help guide included though..Version: 8.05

A first class appI use this app a lot when I'm out and about. If you're interested in trees and would like to know more about them, this app is for you..Version: 8.05

Excellent appVery impressed with both the layout and functionality of this tree app. Makes identification in the field a lot easier.Version: 8.05

Very useful appI really like this app, although I knew many native trees it‘s brilliant to confirm their identities and also discover some species I would not have been able to identify. I like that it shows bark, leaves etc as well as tree shape..Version: 8.8

BrilliantFantastic app, really handy, very easy to use and packed with useful features and information. Best of all though, doesn’t need an internet connection..Version: 8.8

What a great app!I have rarely come across such an informative app. on any topic. I have never found tree particularly easy to identify but this app. gives so many pointers, together with several different images of each of the species from different angles, distances etc. that recognition is so much better. Thanks Isoperla..Version: 8.05

Easy to useHave always wanted a tree identifier and this is simple to use and identifies all known British trees, gives their family and genus and a summary of where they likely to be found..Version: 9.0

Makes walking much more interestingThis is a great app to have on my iPhone and iPad as I frequently use the app to identify the trees and bushes that I see when out walking. This makes every walk so much more interesting..Version: 8.8

I love Tree Id, I have used it for years. This is one of my most used apps. I have used it for ages. I’d love more trees, and more British types. I know there are less and less, now. It is so helpful..Version: 9.0

Very GoodVery useful for a beginner especially. Good photos and information. Makes trying to learn & identify trees easier and lighter to carry a phone than a book when in long walks!.Version: 8.8

Good appThis is a quality app and has taught me a great deal about the trees I see everyday whilst out and about. It obviously focusses on trees native to the British Isles which is fine but you will soon find that many trees planted around parks and towns are immigrants, imported for interest from far flung shores! If the app was expanded to include a few of the more common of these trees, (i know it couldn't have every tree ever!) then it would merit the full five stars!.Version: 8.05

Excellent AppMakes walking in the country interesting and a pleasure .... able to definitively settle arguments about which tree is which ... great fun and you end up feeling connected to your surroundings.Version: 8.05

Brilliant AppThis app is used while out walking the dog. The whole family use it and even my three year old boy can now identify most trees found in any woodland or forrest..Version: 8.05

Not just tree huggersThis app is helpful and informative with enough information given for tree identification. Good companion to the wild flower app. Should be even better with more trees added. Well Done!.Version: 8.8

Very happyI used to carry a small book with me while out and about but thanks to this App’ all on my Phone and there is enough information to satisfy my curiosity, a small price to pay for the Knowledge it contains..Version: 8.8

Out and About. This app is very handy to have on your smart phone when out walking. Was at Westonbirt Arboretum yesterday. Came in useful. Like the way it is organised and displayed..Version: 8.8

Great to have with you on a walk.Really good. I hope they continue to improve. Especially the identification is difficult to use. I'm surprised that Eucalyptus is not included. They are often seen around but perhaps the are a garden plant here..Version: 8.05

TerrificReally easy to use, and great for people unfamiliar with english trees. The identification option is very useful, and the information given, along with the photographs included, gives the user a good idea of the tree species and its basic biological features..Version: 4.8

Fantastic For PlanningI use this app religiously to plan what trees to put where on my smallholding. It’s been invaluable in getting the right size and type for the right location, adding biodiversity to the land. Great stuff!.Version: 8.8

InformativeGreat when out with the grandchildren to be able to answer the questions they ask. This app does just that, helping to keep their interest alive and encouraging them to appreciate the great outdoors..Version: 8.8

Fantastic AppGreat little app. Gives you all the information you could possibly want right at you fingertips, at home or in the field.Version: 8.05

Tree ApplicationI love it. Great information!!.Version: 4.15

Full marksHad this app for a few years and always found it interesting and useful. I now use it and it's sister winter ID app constantly in my work to help identify foraged wood..Version: 8.05

Great little app! This is a very useful app to carry around with you. The identifier is particularly useful when you come across a species you are not familiar with. Easy to use. Clear pictures covering everything such as general tree shape, leaves, bark, flowers and fruit..Version: 8.05

Inexpensive and interestingI was initially disappointed with this but it has grown on me. It expects you to do the work (perfectly fairly) and there are check lists to complete. What you get is clear and well thought through. It’s useful even thought there aren’t easy answers. You actually learn more through an app of this kind..Version: 9.0

Ajp_machenThis guide makes identification simple, with clear photos and excellent layout and descriptions. The additional information on each species provides understanding of its place in the ecosystem and in cultural history. Invaluable guide..Version: 8.05

Useful and informativeA handy guide to help identify the trees I come across, with the facility to record where and when I see them. The best one I’ve come across..Version: 9.0

Good interface makes this easy to usePleased to have this with me when out and about. Helps me learn about tree types..Version: 8.8
