✓ Well done!This is a sweet and simple interactive classic that is well loved by everyone in my house. My 9 year old granddaughter enjoys the story ( she had never heard of it before!) and loves the British accent of the narrator. Her 2 year old brother likes to touch the illustrations to make them come alive and worries a lot about poor Peter. Highly recommend!.Version: 1.4

✓ Amazing!!The nicest children's book yet by far! The narration is really really nicely done, the artwork is incredible. The sound effects will really appeal to youngsters. The entire 'feel' of this book is great. However...The app crashed randomly a lot at one point. A complete reboot of the ipad seemed to solve that though. It needs an update to fix that. Hopefully it will get fixed asap so as not to tarnish this app's reputation too much. It's very nicely done otherwise. Four stars. I'd give it five if it weren't for that issue..Version: 0

✓ Preschool Grandson Loves This!I have been amazed by how much my 3 1/2 year old grandson loves this app. He uses it every time we see each other. He loves being able to touch the illustrations and have berries and leaves pop up out of the pictures (he has fun "squashing" the berries, too), or have the characters make little sounds. He enjoys using the sliders to manipulate the illustrations, and he also likes to be able to tap individual words in the text and hear them spoken individually. Now when his parents sit down with the "real" book, he insists on doing the "reading" himself-complete with the British accent he hears in the app ("Peetah")! The voice-over, the animation, it's all so well done that it puts every other book on the iPad to shame. Don't worry whether your children understand straight away just get it for you. Day one my son made it through 4 pages I read it three times. Day two I caught him making the bunnies giggle. Day three I sat and listened to the music and enjoyed letting it read to me. Day 4 he showed it all through to his grandfather. There are some negative reviews about the space it needs. I am fearful that they may take away from other books in the series because of these comments and wanted to say that I really hope Jeremy Fisher comes out in the same quality. Peter Rabbit book is by far the BEST implementation I've seen so far for a children's tale. This could be used as a flagship demonstration of what the future holds for our children and interactive stories. I hope Loud Crow Interactive releases Benjamin Bunny, Nutkin, Two Bad Mice and Tiggy Winkle at a minimum. Beatrix Potter would be VERY proud of the effort put forth here. ✓ A beautiful renvention of literary classicThis little book has truely been loveingy adapted for the ipad, the interactive aspects are a real suprise and work very well. My eight year old son is loving the expeariace. For those of you who have children learning to read and need that little incentive to inspire them this is a great book for you. ✓ Wonderful appThanks so much for this wonderful app. I loved Alice for iPad, but this book takes it a step further. It keeps the original book in place, but with nice additions to it. From page 32 until page 40 the text trembles. Is this a bug? Will you be adding more features to this app? A little biography about Beatrix Potter would be nice in the opening screen. ✓ Fantastic! The future of books.The book's interactive features are tastefully done. A pleasant amount of sound effects are blended in (bird calls, a bank of noises for different characters. This doesn't look slapped together to grab a quick buck. The charming story has been faithfully recreated, down to the great artwork on a paper-like background. The story can be narrated by a woman with a British accent who reads the story well. The words are highlighted as she reads. A nice feature is that you can touch any word and have it read aloud. There are well-placed icons that allow you to have the page reread or choose any page, but they don't take you away from the feeling of reading a real book. ✓ Lovely!After having downloaded the lite version for my Peter Rabbit obsessed 2 year old son, I read the reviews for the full version and was a bit disappointed to hear that there were issues with it shutting down, etc. Still, we wanted more than the lite version, and figured, "it's only a few dollars, even if it doesn't work, we haven't really lost anything". I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were no issues at all. The App runs smoothly and we haven't had any issues with crashing at all. The images are lovely and PopOut! has done a great job of retaining the original charm of the Peter Rabbit books, with cute little interactive illustrations. Essentially, the App is a pop-up book that your child can enjoy, without worrying that they may break it with too much "love". ✓ Beautiful illustrations and narrationI love this application. The paper copy of this book is a staple in our house. This app does a wonderful job of rendering the illustrations in electronic form; they are bright and crisp. The navigation was easy for my three-year old to do. There aren't lots of fiddly games built in, but on each page the child can press the illustrations and see them move slightly with accompanying sound effects; for example Peter's bunny siblings giggle quietly on one page, or the cat meows. It was just enough to take advantage of the iPad format without detracting from the story. The narrator's voice (which can be turned on or off) and intonation was perfect - she sounds a lot like Carey Mulligan. I've downloaded several ebooks for my son, but so far this one is my favourite..Version: 0
