✓ Great app and excellent supportPurchased the app in the morning and discovered my area of the county wasn't listed. Since our county is very large and the weather is quite different than the coast I emailed support to see if our area could be listed. Within hours I received an email informing me our area had been added. Talk about great support!! The app is very intuitive and easy to customize. Definitely 5 stars!!!.Version: 2.2
✓ Great customer serviceI downloaded this app and was very happy with using it but I didn't like how I had to listen to the whole state for weather alerts. I live in a state that is several hundred miles wide so weather in the south of the state is not going to have any effect on us. I contacted the app through the website and asked them if there is anyway I can put alerts in by county. They emailed me back within a few minutes to let me know that they will put my counties in. Only a few hours later all my necessary counties were on and working great. This is a must have app..Version: 2.1
✓ Saving lives!!!!These alerts come through before all the "big dog" weather app alerts. Now understand, you have to have data or wifi to get alerts so if your electricity tends to go out and you need wifi, this may not be for you, but if you have a data plan on your iPad or an iPhone you will always get your alerts! This is my goto app for alerts because I can set my county and all my surrounding counties to alert me so I know what's coming. I can even change my alert settings to where I am on Vacation. Or where my parents live so I can call them and warn them. I do not use this app for general weather info at all, but the alerts are worth the price..Version: 5.1

✓ Exactly what I wantedWhen hunkering down for Irene, I lost the argument to sleep downstairs in my house, which was an understandable precaution considering the very real possibility of a tornado being spawned by the hurricane moving ashore. Ok. Well thankfully I found this app, enabling me to set alerts based on real-time, local NOAA weather updates/reports, with a sound so jarring that I could not possibly sleep thru it. Initially my New York county was not among those listed for alerts, but I was utterly astounded to have the app author add it seemingly instantly upon an email expressing my disappointment. ✓ Trouble fixed in a timely mannerAfter purchasing this app, I was disappointed and frustrated that the weather radio was not working in my area.....especially in the wake of the severe weather that we were experiencing here in Alabama. However, I must say that as soon as I reported a problem, the response was immediate....an explanation was given....and the problem was fixed. There was then a follow-up email written to make sure that the radio was still working. So, because of the outstanding customer service, I highly recommend this app..Version: 1.1

✓ Fantastic weather radioI've always used NOAA weather radios in the past. I've been looking for a good iPad app that not only provided the NOAA radio broadcast but also the NOAA alerts. This app does it perfectly! One suggestion would be to implement the ability to disable certain alerts like "flood watch", "flood warning", etc. Where I live we never flood so I'd like to disable this alert. The support for this app is excellent, the developers are very quick to respond to any questions..Version: 6.1
✓ Best weather app goingThis NOAA weather radio app is fantastic for a number of reasons with the most helpful ones being lightning strikes in the area, full NOAA radio coverage nationwide, and quick and easy to read radar views (with animations). I've already had numerous push alerts which not only cover my location currently but all my friend and relatives areas too country-wide. ✓ Great appI down loaded this app in place of buying a $40 or more dollar weather radio. It was up and running the last storm her in Texas it keep us updated on the bad weather thank you. If I could change anything on the app it would be to make the radar easier to view. It worked great but is not as easy to read as some other, but what they have with the weather radio works great even in bad weather. Make sure if you use this option that you have your broad band modem on some kind of battery back up so you do not loose Internet if the power goes off. Well worth the money.Version: 5.1
✓ Very worthwhile appThis is a very worthwhile app! I was able to figure out how to use it in a reasonably short time. It does everything it claims to do (although I haven't had any watches/warnings issued in my area yet). I recommend getting the in-app Hi-resolution radar and the text forecasts as well. The 4 day forecast screen could be improved graphically but provides the necessary forecast information. All of the rest of the screens are very good. The lightning strike screen is also a great feature. I'm pleased with my purchase and know I will use this app often!.Version: 6.1

✓ Weather Alerts WHEN you need them!I am a paramedic that spends 24 hours on an ambulance...not in a station, but IN THE BOX. After last weeks 13 tornadoes rolled through, and we were dodging them all morning, I excited it was time to be proactive. After an exhaustive search for a great weather radio/radar/alert app, I chose this one for several reasons. First, I wanted NOAA man talking to me, telling me what was going on. Secondly, I wanted to SEE the radar of the storms I was trying to avoid. THIRD, and foremost, I wanted an app that would wake me up with an alert if I was sleeping. Well, here it is. This app answered my prayers...it has all this and more. After entering the counties on the periphery, I get alerts as storm approach my county. It was a big hit on Easter when my whole family listened as the Thunderstorms rolled in from the SW. The brother-in-law stated: "well, sounds like we got just enough time to get home." That is what I was looking for in a weather app. I have others as well....mainly forecast apps...but this is my new Go-to app for IMMEDIATE weather info. I highly recommend this app for EVERYONE. The weather alert feature is worth it's weight in gold. GET IT...And if you see me leaving my ambulance to take cover, you BETTER. Follow suit..Version: 3.0
✓ Wonderful Customer ServiceI was looking for a weather radio app for my iPad (gen 3) and purchased this one. For some reason the sound was not working on it so I emailed support and *heard right back*! They fixed the problem; response time was so fast, this is unusual! Thank heavens because we had tornado warnings last night… Fantastic app and fantastic customer service. ✓ Great appThis weather app is the best one that I have used. There are many bells and whistles on this one that are very helpful, including the optional selections for alert tones. The text option is also very useful. This app does it all. I don't need to keep my other weather apps/radios. And, is well worth the in-app purchases. The staff are very responsive to questions and to adding weather stations in your hometown, if not already included. But you just have to send an email asking for your station to be added on. I noted that one review was complaining about not having his preferential location included...but said nothing about whether he asked for it to be included. NOW, how fair was that? I asked for my location of Grant County, WI to be added, and it was added to in less than a few hours after my request. In addition, the weather station supporting my location was also added. You just can not ask for a better APP or better service from the providers. I plan to download other apps by this company..Version: 5.1

✓ Great app needs ONE major tweakEdit: please, please, PLEASE add an alert notification badge to indicate which county is affected on the alert page. If you have several areas you’re monitoring, you get an alert icon on the iOS app icon (badge) , but NO indication which county or counties have the alerts from the list view inside the app if you want to read the whole alert. This can be a problem if you have a sizeable list. Otherwise, keep up the good work, folks. Thanks!.Version: 6.0

✓ Life and property saving with responsive supportI downloaded this app to supplement the traditional weather radio at home. When we have severe weather, it usually involves heavy snow, high winds and subzero temps. The county where I live was not on their list. One email, and, within three hours they had added the county! They not only added it, but apologized for taking so long. Mind you, THIS WAS ON A SATURDAY. Amazing responsiveness. Shortly after adding the county, the alert went off on the app. The weather radio did not. The alert, an extension of a high wind warning (100+ mph gusts) gave me enough time to lay in more wood and retrieve the outdoor furniture I had just moved back outside. I emailed them the minute that I noticed this and asked them if they could add my county. ✓ Wow what an app and what a developerOkay - I use this app to monitor the weather in our area. It has a push function so I get alerts on my ipad and iPhone. I can monitor as many locations as I want. For instance I monitor 3. One were my 85 year old mother lives, one were our cottage is and our county. I also like the weather data I get. Today the NOAA radio did not work so I emailed the developer and got a response in less then 30 minutes. I am impressed. This app is updated regularly with new features and bug fixes unlike some apps I have that rarely get new anything. I don't normally give 5 stars but this simple to use app has my vote..Version: 4.5
✓ An important appLiving in Florida during hurricane season can be a challenge. Some years leaving the weather radio on can drive you nuts. Every few hours, day and night, the radio is bound to squawk and rather than be comforting can be a real nuisance. However, turning the radio off completely could be dangerous. So I was glad I found this app. I can listen to the radio or listen through my earphones, or play it for all. I had trouble orienting myself in the beginning. To set it up, you are supposed to just identify your community, but it doesn’t work that way. NOAA has a number of stations located in our state, but each community does not have one. It would probably help if the developers would peg each community with the closest station. But they don’t, so I finally figured out to tune to the same stations as I tune my NOAA radio and the connection was perfect. I think this app can be one of my “most needed” apps as time goes on..Version: 10.2

✓ Nice idea but needs improvementPros: does alert you when severe weather watches and warnings have been issued Cons: alerts are given with a horrible unpleasant grating sound. Cons: alerts are given even when there are no alerts. Last night we were under a severe thunderstorm watch until 7:15 pm, and this app let us know. Fifteen minutes after the alert expired it gave the loud grating sound again, repeating the original message, apparently to let us know that the alert had expired. Three more times in the evening it did the same. The last time it gave its irritating alert sound was at 9:30 pm. It again gave is the warning that we were under a severe thunderstorm watch until 7:30 pm! Duh! This morning at 6:30 it gave its irritating sound again. When I checked to see what it was warning me about, the app gave me a message that there were no active watches in my area. That's when I deleted the app. In my area of the country its important to have some kind of weather alert system, but there are better products out there. I have a weather alert app for my iphone that was a little more expensive, but it works great. If you are considering a weather app, my advice is to keep looking..Version: 5.1

✓ The One WX Radio App You You Have to HaveI already own the iPhone version of the app and gave it five stars. I liked it so much in fact that I also purchased the iPad version. You don’t really need two different versions, one for iPad and one for iPhone. The iPhone version works fine on both. However, I wanted to be sure to try both out before I included them on my list of recommended weather apps when I teach the weather portion of our county’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course. The app offers many different feeds in addition to NOAA Weather Radio including NOAA’s coastal and marine broadcasts to name a couple. Detailed alerts and hi-res radar can be added for a small additional charge for each. You can customize your alerts and notifications to suit your needs as well as add multiple locations for those who need to keep an ear out for that vacation property or boat at another location. Please note, the radio feed is streamed directly from a receiver tuned to the local WX service frequency. You’re listening to an actual radio so you’ll hear occasional static and some feeds are better than others in terms of audio quality. I checked and didn’t find any that I felt were unusable. Also, you won’t hear anything those times if either the NWS transmitter or the audio feed are down for maintenance. All-in-all an excellent app that does what it claims to. ✓ Very Impressive and highly functionalWith my wife and I planning our retirement around RVing this app is a gem. It gives me real time weather data anywhere we point the RV, and the HD maps are beautiful and easy on the eyes. I like the features of alerts and push notifications as it lets us know in advance what area of the country to avoid if we choose. Excellent app NOAA, and I highly recommend it. 10 Stars!!!!!
