✓ Pretty goodThis app lets you write, edit, and run java programs. However, it's a bit clunky, especially when it comes to editing. In order to delete large sections of text, you have to repeatedly tap delete. There's no way to select a bunch of text and delete it. At the very least it would be good to be able to use the standard tap and hold action for the delete button. This is the only app I've encountered that doesn't do that. Also, scrolling is really awkward and slow. It does have some weird limitations like the fact that you have to pay for compilations, you need Internet to run a program, and standard input has to be entered before the program is run. For an example of a really good programming app, check out Python 2.7 for iOS by Jonathan Hosmer..Version: 3.3

When I compile or run a program it works occasionally but most of the time I get a timeout error and it says try again later. I have a strong Wi-Fi signal so I am not sure what the problem is. ✓ HorribleFirst of all, back when I purchased the app it wasn't clearly stated on the purchase screen that the purchase price only enables you to use it 100 times. After that you must pay for additional compilations. Secondly, those 100 hundred compilations apply to all apps you've bought from them. So if you bought say this one and C++, you really only have 50 compilations for each app. I'm not buying anything else from these thieves..Version: 3.0

✓ Only Text?Original Posting April 2013: Purchased app. Programmed with java.io.* class. Works fine. Next attempted a simple Hello world with javax.swing.* Well it compiles but gives a "The program raises a runtime error" error when executed. Seems any graphics at all are out of the question. Sure would like to know prior to purchasing what java classes are supported... April 15, 2017: To respond to the developer, there is no input for hello the hello world swing output. As I indicated above it would have been nice to know that the app only will work with non-graphic programs otherwise you get: Exception in thread "main" java.awt.HeadlessException: No X11 DISPLAY variable was set, but this program performed an operation which requires it. at java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment.checkHeadless(GraphicsEnvironment.java:204).Version: 9.4

When I decided to try it out I wrote a, usually quick to make program, however, it took me a considerable amount of time to complete about 15 lines of code. But what can you expect, it's an iPad app. So when I did finally complete it I hit the "Run" button only to find I needed to PAY MONEY to run the script. What the hell? Very disappointed by that. ✓ I paid for this app couple years agoI paid for this app when it was originally a paid app. Now it's a free app and you have to pay $2.99 to get unlimited compilations. I think since I ready paid that price when the app originally cost money, that I should get that privilege. Instead, the developer made a new separate app with unlimited compilations that cost money. That just rubs me the wrong way. I emailed dev and he basically said tough luck. I would not support this dev. The app is very simplistic anyway..Version: 6.2
