✓ Upgrade pleaseI love this new city catechism too! I upgraded my ipad ios today and then I could not play the songs any more. I guess this app version doesnt work properly with the new ios. ✓ New City Catechism AppJust downloaded and started to use as our Church are studying it together. This app is great - little animations make the question-answer learning process less dull BUT the accompanying bible verses, commentary & prayers are really excellent. The ACTUAL CONTENT tho of what we re learning tho is REVELATIONARY of course - what an AWESOME God we have !!.Version: 2.0.8
✓ We love this app!We just found this app and have added it to our morning routine. My boys aged 9 & 11 love the songs. We sing along and even take different parts which they really enjoy - todays quote: “This is Fun!!” And I hear them singing the songs during the day. Even catch myself singing the songs during the day. What a wonderful way to learn the New City Catechism..Version: 2.0.4
✓ Love it, with one little annoyanceA solid catechism that meets a need and fulfills a role. The introduction does a good job explaining how that plays out. My only frustration—and it’s nitpicking—is that I can’t figure out how to get to the Home Screen without closing and restarting the app; I don’t believe it’s possible. Do I need to go to the Home Screen? Not really. Can I navigate to all relevant places without doing so? Yup. But my brain desperately wants to be able to hit a “Home” button and get back to the splash screen. 🤷🏻♂️😂.Version: 2.0.8
✓ Why Tim Keller...I read everything Tim Keller because he is absolutely true to the Bible and makes the Bible practical for every day life in a form that speaks to me me...short and sweet but also complete and with links that allow me to dig as deep as time or interest allow. ✓ Improvements for content description accuracy and missing content I missRegarding content accuracy: the app states scripture quotations are from ESV, however they do not match the ESV. Regarding previous content that is no longer available: 1. I really miss the suggestions for further reading, and footnotes of sources of commentary information. I purchased J. I. Packer's book as well as Macleod's "A Faith to Live By" and have found them very helpful for further study. 2. If possible, please reinstate the option for the user to select the version of his choice, and possibly add the NKJV...Version: 2.0.1

✓ Great App, but not working right!This is an amazing app, but since updating to iOS 8 it doesn't work properly. You can't see the menu at the bottom, so I'm just guessing where the buttons are. You can still use the app but it would great if it worked properly. Please someone fix it ASAP.Version: 1.0.1

✓ Great app to teach theology to kidsGreat tool to teach good basic theology to your kids. I use the app with my 4 and 2 year old and the 4 year old has memorized about the first 20 questions. I can see how his knowledge from the questions is already affecting the way he thinks about life. The songs are great too, they help a lot with the memorization of the Q and As and make it fun for the kids. Highly recommended..Version: 2.0.4

✓ Great as DevotionalThe way this catechism systemizes the core doctrines and beliefs of the Gospel and the way that it also protects against heresies by being absolutely grounded in scripture is absolutely astounding. Aesthetically, it’s rather lovely bc of the color coded sections and the little animations that accompany every question is pleasing to the eye. Practically, it’s easy to use and every time you open the app after refreshing/restarting it, it opens at the last question you left off at, which is rather awesome considering that if it didn’t, you’d have to scroll and try to remember where you last left off. Definitely a huge blessing to the modern day church and I hope it’ll be in use for quite some time.Version: 2.0.6

✓ Kid-friendly, but also for adultsJust finished 52 weeks of this app with my kids. They were very engaged and even my 5yo had little trouble learning most of the songs that accompanied the lessons. ✓ Great content - but audio stopped workingI love this catechism - it’s a great combination of classic theology with updated language. I teach it to my kids on the iPad app focusing on one question per week. My 6 year old son is doing well at memorising the responses in the child-friendly shortened form. However, a while back the audio stopped working for the videos and songs. There’s no problem with sound on any other apps and I’ve tried adjusting the iPad volume and ringer settings to no avail. I tried to contact someone about it, but there’s virtually no app support, so I’m writing it here in the hope that someone will notice and fix it. Other than that, its a great app and I still use it everyday. Thank you!.Version: 1.0.3

✓ LOVEThis is such a great app and curriculum. Our family has the book also and our small group at church goes through this one question a week. I wish you could play the song from the adult mode, though. (You currently have to switch between Child mode and Adult mode to access both the full answer and the kid song.) The songs are obviously for kids, but helpful for me as an adult too! It also would be SO COOL if I could play all the songs on loop for my kids. ✓ Excellent teaching toolThis catechism app is really well put together. ease of use and design are superb. i personally appreciate that it centers on the gospel with a "broadly reformed" approach, rather than getting into the finer points of tulip (some of which i do not agree with.) the prayers and articles that expand the main idea of each point make it a wonderful learning tool not only for beginners, but even for those in vocational ministry or seminary. the only addition i could wish for is that besides the "child" version and "adult" version (which, btw, the adult answer to each question is made to contain the exact words of the child's version with fuller explanation = brilliant!) is that they would've also made a version even somewhat simpler for pre-schoolers, as some of the answers even in the children's version would be difficult for smaller children. nevertheless, i think i'm gonna try to go through it with my 6 and 3 years olds and hope for the best. :).Version: 1.0.0

✓ Amazing app!Thank you for the amazing update! I love using this as a devotional with my children. While there is a bug for the iPad, the iPhone version works beautifully. The design is sleek and easy to navigate. Updated songs in children's mode that pertain more closely to the verse, which is nice. (However, I hope some of our favorites from the old version of this app are still in there) it's so nice seeing such quality apps like this and ref net being made for the glory of God! Please fix the iPad bug. Looks like graphics are over the top of the 'done' button on the intro splash pages so you can't continue..Version: 2.0

✓ Excecution of content needs workThis app is great for having all content accessable in one spot. However, it will only let me play each song only once. There is no way to start over unless I completely exit the app and get back in. If I pull up the full song list, there is no way to go back to the normal screen unless I shut down the app and get back in. It's a lot of unnecessary steps. Kids need repetition to learn, so being able to repeat without unnecessary steps would be nice..Version: 2.0.8
