I use this for my German along with Duolingo which is another great app. If you have downloaded any of uTalks separate apps in the past open them once this is installed and you should get a free upgrade in this new app. Sadly it only works on the more common languages, so no upgrade for Esperanto. ✓ Superb!I'm using the app to learn Icelandic and have to say it is totally amazing! The categories are all totally relevant and easily broken down into important phrases. The "practice" sections of each category allows you to see the original word, the Icelandic translation, as well as a picture representation. Also, it includes voice clips of both the male and female pronunciation of each word, an option to make them say the word slower, and a function that uses your device's microphone to record yourself saying the word. As well as this, each category has 4 games (easy, speaking, hard and memory) and ends with a recall section to really test your learning. I'm finishing it so easy to dip in and out of, and to sit with in longer sessions too. Even friends and family say I'm learning fast! In short, this app is great!.Version: 1.4

✓ Amazing app, highly recommend!I downloaded this app in order to learn Icelandic a language known for how difficult it is. Thanks to this app I can now speak and understand enough Icelandic to converse with Icelandic individuals, and I am getting better every day. The games make it fun and enjoyable, giving you a gentle build up in difficulty that feels comfortable and gets the words flowing easily from memory. The practice section is great as well and of course the end of each group of games comes with a recall section that had me surprising myself. It also allows me to play my music in the background only taking the volume down slightly to speak the words which I loved! This app just got better and better as I used it and it was worth every penny for the topic upgrades! I sincerely hope there will be more topic upgrades, animals in particular would be a great one to have. All round, couldn't recommend it more! Perfect app!.Version: 1.4
✓ Great but needs romanceHey it looks like your Afrikaans course is great, nice vocabulary (got the premium) love the learning style. One thing your app is sorely lacking is a romance category, a must-have for anyone single or taken. I only took off one star because you guys did a nice job with the voice actors. ✓ I love itMy husband is Laotian and his whole family speaks Lao. There is no Rosetta Stone for Lao and my husband is not a “teacher” so I decided I wanted to learn so I could communicate with the family and hopefully pass along some culture to our children. I started with the free version and checked the pronunciation and translation with him (native speaker) and when they were spot on and very proper, I upgraded to the full version and I LOVE it. There are so many words, very useful selection with matching images. I haven’t played the games yet with the full version but so far I am beyond impressed. I can’t wait to incorporate a few minutes of Lao practice a day and surprise my in-laws at the next gathering!.Version: 2.6.13

Great games for memorisation, covers good range of vocabulary, (social phrases, alphabet, numbers, holidays, business, food & drink, to name only a few!) and is fun. Would suit a wide range of learning styles, as it has visual, audio, and interactive activities. For listening, the Audio component spoken by both male and female and can be slowed down in the practise section. Also records your spoken words so you can compare how you actually sound, rather than how you think you sound. Worth every dollar if you're investing time in learning a new language!! I’m only 13 and dont get pocket money so I won’t be able to pay unless I save up for a long time or I can try to get my dad to pay. ✓ Great so farI just downloaded this app today to learn a bit of Macedonian and Georgian... really beautiful app design and I think I will be able to learn well from this app. That being said, and I really do hope the developers see this because this is an important part of learning any language, I think, I would find it very helpful to include a literal word-for-word translation along with the phrase. For example learning Mongolian, you get all these seemingly random words and letters and I would just like to understand what purpose each part of the phrase serves, rather than just memorizing specific phrases. I will continue to use this app of course! I only wish it didn’t cost money because I can’t really afford it but I understand it has to make money somehow. I'm learning Maltese and while I've previously used free platforms like Duolingo (which is great), I've really struggled to find anything of the same quality, since Maltese is not supported. ✓ Love this app but a little bit expensiveThis app is great as I am learning Maltese and this is the only app that teaches it. This app also has a wide range of other languages that not many other apps offer. ✓ Nice idea and designGreat for learning the basics of a language. I'm doing French and Polish and finding it really good for words and phrases. Games are fun and easy to pick up with no instructions, and the language does seem to be sinking in! It doesn't teach you rigid grammar or anything, think "holiday level" phrases rather than A level. Looks really slick and has things popping up with facts about the countries when you get to certain points levels - although I don't really know what they're for its a nice break from the games..Version: 2.4.0

The fact that so many languages are offered makes this an absolute gold mine especially for someone wanting to learn more African languages like myself. Keep up the good work and expand on the offerings and make things more robust. My one critique, is that the Easy Game of Tigrinya that I played went well but I didn’t have an English translation of what the words were. So aside from very obvious things like numbers or a glass of water I didn’t know what I was saying exactly. If all of the languages had an English (or whatever the learners language is) translation of what is being said it would really make this a top choice Language app overall. I do however love that words are written out phonetically in English. Of course, I only did the free trial game so there’s no telling what the paid versions have. ✓ Highlighted phrase is off by a lineThis is a great app to Learn Lao, but when you click on a phrase or word that you would like to learn, the program highlights the word above the phrase being said/shown. This is very confusing for my daughter. Hopefully they will fix this soon..Version: 2.7

✓ This app is awesome.I have always had an interest in all sorts of languages but hardly ever got round to learning them all. This app will change that, finally, even if it's only the first few words that are free, I'll get an idea of the language; and it's an intelligent but fun way to pass time when you're waiting somewhere (doctor's, when you're early for your friend..).
