The Australian Oxford Dictionary is edited by Australia's most influential lexicographer, Dr. Bruce Moore. As in all his Oxford dictionaries, Dr. Moore is attuned to new currents in Australian language and usage. He includes a full range of neologisms, especially the protean language of younger Australians and of computing and electronic communication. This is not just a dictionary for scholars and pedants. It reveals our changing language in up-to-date and entertaining ways, and it will be an essential reference for the new millennium.

AOD (InApp) Pros

Bad FaithI purchased this app several years ago. It stopped working and dropped out after the IOS8 upgrade. I contacted their support (not easy to find) who said they would refund me if I could give proof of purchase. However, ‘discontinued’ apps drop off the Apple purchases list. I could not get a refund. If they did not know this, they should have. They should also have offered an upgrade, not just let a $30 app die like that without explanation. Bad faith AOD. I notice also that there is another version for $31+ so why they pretend this app is free when you have to pay the same amount for content I really do not understand. Again, bad faith AOD. The dictionary itself is splendid. It is the service and the lack of easy to find support and the dishonesty that I dislike..MulberryWriterVersion: 6.2

English language knowledge at your finger tipsI love this app. I have it installed on both iPad and iPhone and with the in app purchase have an entire dictionary at my finger tips. I personally like the layout, I find it simple and easy to use. Well done to the team behind this..Hadley.danVersion: 8.8
