The interface is very easy to figure out, and there are many configuration options. The only thing keeping it from being five stars is that the speed selection only goes in tenths, e.g., 1.2, 1.3, 1.4. ✓ Great app!I tried this app as it's free, I'm now going to upgrade to the paid version. It took a little while for me to figure out, but the support from the designer was very helpful, and very quick. There are several ways to download books onto your device. As I have a psychological allergy to turning on a pc if I can avoid it, I tried the cloud method and was impressed to see that it recognised my storage device (where I keep all my media) as a cloud option, meaning I could handle the whole download from the sofa using just my phone. As this proved quite lengthy for books broken down into more numerous files, I got off the sofa, switched on the pc and used the wifi/web dav method, which I found way faster. I haven't yet needed to bother with zipping folders, or even launching iTunes. But, if the other methods are anything to go by, that should be quick too. The app bookmarks well, even in a multiple book scenario. The only bug I found was when editing books to form them into series: the keyboard for typing the edit obscures the save button for saving the edit. Hitting "return" on the keypad gets rid of the keypad, and then you can reach the save button to keep your edit. Overall, very pleased! I'd recommend.Version: 1.65

✓ What the doctor orderedFits the bill perfectly to play audiobooks ripped from other media: premium version allows bookmarking, reading rate change (the best I've ever seen from .5x through 3x and every variation in between) and sleep timer. Plays files in multiple formats, including mp3s and m4b (audiobook version of m4a). Easy to load books through iTunes file sharing. I haven't tried the wireless method. Well worth the money for the premium version (which you can just purchase outright, but I got it free first, liked it, and almost immediately did the IAP for the pro features). Transferring files is quick and painless with or without using iTunes. Controls are well laid out and sized large enough for use while driving. My favourite feature is the variable speed. I can ramp a book up to 3x to get through books quicker if I choose!! I have had occasion to email the developer to ask a couple questions that later seemed obvious. I digitized them all to use on mobile devices before iPhones even existed, but obviously now I’d rather not carry a separate device around with me. MP3 Audiobook Player to the rescue! ✓ Fixed my wifi problem!Fine app, but don’t expect any help from Oleg. He doesn’t care. My iphone suddenly wouldn’t connect to my pc for transferring audiobooks. The fix is to turn off “Private Wi-fi Address” under the ‘i’ next to your wifi network in Settings/Wifi. This feature was added to an IOS upgrade recently and blocks this app from communicating. I’d like to point out that I recently upgraded to the iPhone 15 pro max and have been having issues with the app ever since. When I stop a book or use the sleep timer, it marks my placement far later than where I actually stopped, about 30 min -1 hour. It’s a little frustrating because I have to go back and search for where I truly stopped listening. Not sure if this is an issue with the current version or the new model phone. Uploading is simple and works perfectly. Syncing is fast. Playback is fast. One of the major issues I had with it was recently solved in a newer update. When importing books it doesn’t carry over the file names so I never know which file is which. The audio Bible I have is in German, so I get some language practice, too. The app. keeps the files in their proper order, which iTunes did not. I had already used 3rd party software to do that for a previous iPhone, and these files came over to this phone when I got a new phone. This app. clips the chapter number just a little when starting a new chapter, but only when using the Bluetooth speaker, so that may be a problem wit the speaker software. ✓ Great app with a couple of arbitrary flawsI have recently vowed to stop supporting Audible and have been totally blown away with the quality of this app. It has plenty of small quality of life features that make sorting and playing my audiobooks a lot easier. The app’s ability to automatically compile and keep track of my (often sporadic) files streamlines the upload process beautifully. I have so far only found two issues. The Home Screen widgets do not update with along with the book being played and do not transition from the detail image and text. This obviously does not affect the operation of the app itself, but would be helpful if fixed. Secondly, I have had a lot of difficultly with accessing the Wi-Fi upload feature. Getting large files onto your phone can be annoying, with cloud transfer often taking an age to occur. I was able to successfully use the app’s (incredibly useful) Wi-Fi upload only once. After that, each attempt to access your server has been met with error messages, or connection lasting only a few seconds before being booted again. Diagnostics claim that the issue is on the opposite end and not my side. I am therefore having to rely on the slow paced cloud transfer to move my books across..Version: 1.154

✓ Decent appI check out lots of audiobooks from the library , and they have long waiting lists for newer books, plus limits to time allowed to keep them. This app is helpful, as I can do a couple simple steps to transfer the files into this app, then return the book to the library , giving others the chance to listen to it, while giving me time to complete it. I have yet to purchase the upgrade , but after I try this a bit longer, as long as it works well, I probably will, as the free app has a limit to 10 hour audiobooks. The shake to extend the sleep timer is very convenient and a feature I miss when I switch back to the Audible app for my library there. Also, the equalizer has been a really nice addition along with the audio preset built in. I can keep my books out on my iCloud Drive and download them when I’m ready to listen.
