✓ Syncing IssuesI really love the UI of this app, but it has real syncing issues. The ability to crank up the font size and the ‘dark’ mode is wonderful, but I’ve had entire pages disappear because of problems with iCloud sync. I’ll navigate away from the app, come back and see the dreaded ‘closed because iCloud was syncing’ message and hold my breath. Wondering if this is the time that everything I just wrote was lost. It doesn’t happen all the time, and I would totally give this app a five star rating if not for this huge issue. From what I can see from other reviews I’m not the only person who has had this issue. I’d love to see the option of Dropbox syncing added, as I’ve never had issues with any of my other writing apps that use Dropbox. I only gave this one star in the hope that I’ll get some type of developer response as to when Dropbox syncing might be added. As I said, I LOVE This app and truly want it to work correctly..Version: 1.6.1

✓ Voiceover user.I just downloaded the app, and I was hoping to find some settings, to customize the app. I am a voice over user who is blind. I downloaded the app hoping to use it to be able to compose documents, and be able to edit them on the go. I don’t see in the app this far how I can even start with a blank document and input using voice dictation any text Please consider making adjustments to this app so they a Voice over user, can create documents or articles from scratch and, be able to edit on the go. ✓ DisappointingI have to say I’m very disappointed with this app, I absolutely love the reader but I find this app very clunky and most of the time it doesn’t play back when you want it to. It won’t let you import word docx or pages doc which is strange seeing as it is a iPad app. I would much rather edit right in the app but you can only use plain text. I’ve tried working in split screen mode on the iPad with pages open on one side and it playing on the other so I can edit and listen but than all the font runs right down the middle like it’s been squeezed. The play button fails to work more times than not so you have to close the app and reopen constantly. There needs to be more than a plain text mode, I so want to love this app but I can’t. This app would be perfect if you could import your word docx and play it and edit. I will give this app a 5/5 review if it was able to do that. 2/5 is generous until then..Version: 1.7.3
✓ Suggestions for Improvement- Combine Reader & Writer into single app. - Add streamlined, no-frills in-app web browser which allows usage of voices from Reader ( see Writing Kit). - Add different font and background options (again, see Writing Kit). - Improve document format controls (spacing, alignment, etc.). The above improvements (app combing and web browser with voices especially) would make this app bad-a**. As it stands, it's "okay," but has potential..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Lack of multilingual featuresI've bought the app with the idea that the app fully supported other languages, like Spanish, for example. However, neither the related words or the encyclopedia work for that language, so the highlights of the app itself don't work in that language..Version: 1.7.2

✓ Lack of user interface optimizationWhen in between a note and trying to start a new note, it still takes 4 taps to start a new note. When in the slide over view, the user interface is very bad when trying to look words on the right side of the app. Those words should appear on the bottom portion of the window. ✓ The ProblemI was eager to try this app, since it's a great tool in concept. I was writing something very important to me, and did it. It was perfect. Naturally, I closed the app. When I returned to the app, there was just one sentence. One sentence out of like... hundreds of sentences. Not an exaggeration. So, I thought, perhaps I did something wrong. To my disgrace, it happened again. I wonder if the developers can fix this simple bug that makes it impossible to use this app..Version: 1.6.1
✓ Name Change! Why?I see your version update jumped from 1.7 to 2.0 just for changing a name. For real? Anyways, I don’t understand why you’d abandon a very popular name like “voice dream writer.” VDWrite sound so ordinary and very boring. At least your keeping the iconic logo. But I sincerely hope you reverse the decision to change the name..Version: 2.0.0
✓ Practically unusable, jumps to the end of documents without warningI feel really bad giving a bad review of writer because I'm so in love with reader and how it's helped me. But this product is practically unusable for me. A little background, I bought a really high and Bluetooth keyboard for my iPad practiced on it for a couple days then loaded up writer with the intent of trying to put 2000 words on paper. But every time I try to Touch the screen to move back to a Word and edit, the software would jump to the end of the document and I would lose my position. At first I thought it was me, maybe I was tapping the wrong spot but the more I played the more frustrated I became to the point where I am convinced the software is unusable. So I soldiered on and then it started jumping to random words in my document, short of throwing my iPad across the room, I simply on installed, and went back to using my mac..Version: 1.3.2

✓ Stunning update failureI have really appreciated having this app. I have used it a lot for years now. Problem is, with the newest update it deleted all of my saved documents, and crashes when I try to use the functions to create a new document or search for an old one. I am rather stunned, because in all of the years of using this app, I have never thought that updating it would cause a wipe of the memory. I am disappointed, and not sure I trust to keep using the app in the future for fear of the same thing happening again. I hope there is a fix for this, and that the team finds one soon..Version: 1.7.6
