✓ AwesomeI was using the pc version on my mac with crossover for a while now and today I downloaded the native mac version. The mac version has a clean looking interface not as cluterd as the pc version, the work spaces are almost identical if you have used the pc version or the iPhone/ipad version you will easily adapt to this one..Megas_khanVersion: 1.1

✗ PastorEsword on my Pc was fantastic, I have used it for years, when changing from a PC to a Mac, I bought esword for my Mac. It is almost like a new programme altogether, it is a dissapointment. It would be great if the programme would be the same as the PC version..Si05Version: 3.2

✗ Not as good as the PC version - yetSorry to disagree with the other reviews as I greatly admire e-Sword and have the highest regard for all that they have accomplished over the past few years, but I am indeed disappointed with the current lack of usability in this new Mac version. Shame, as we who have been won over to Apple would all rather use e-Sword on our Macs without the need for programs like “Crossover" to help compatibility (a clever but cumbersome extra). The first problem with e-Sword X that caused me frustration was not being able to easily move from one chapter to another as in the older version (I had to pull down the “bible” menu or press cmd + square brackets to move forward (Or I could use the Bible Navigator icon and go thru the drop down menu each time) but this is very cumbersome. Also, so many useful short-cut icons are missing in the new version so that functionaility is greatly reduced. It felt a very poor second to what I had become accustomed to. Then came the shock that I could not copy verses easily as in the old e-Sword! For example, I like to do homiletics using a spreadsheet - copying and pasting a section of Scripture from e-Sword that often includes more than one chapter at a time and then analyse the portion verse by verse. This is not possibe with the new “X” version. What a frustration - especially after it was so well reviewed by others and I’d paid for it. It’s not the cost - but I fear that some old users will, like me, feel frustrated. Mr Meyer’s work and commitment in this invaluable ministry are to be highly regarded and so I do not begrudge the cost of this latest offering. I can only hope that e-Sword X will continue to grow and improve over time to eventually match or exceed the brilliance of the original e-Sword!
