✓ Amazing but need to fix thisThis is amazing to learn a new language, but it says you know nothing when you have had this game for almost 2 years!!! 😒 I have tried and tried to fix this and it just won’t do it. ✓ Don’t waste ur timeOkay so I make a account, and so far it’s pretty easy to use. It’s just the fact that you CANT PICK THE LANGUAGE YOU WANT TO LEARN. Ik u have to pick the three lines in the corner and pick dictionary whatever. When you do it has a few of the languages in the one I speak in (English). For example it says Italian when u want to learn Italian. BUT for most of the languages it has the title in the language that you don’t know yet. So I have no idea what the greek option is because I DONT KNOW IT YET so I CANT LEARN IT IF THE TITLE IS IN GREEK. I CANT PICK THE LANGUAGE BC I CANT READ IT!!!! ✓ Excellent idea, horrible implementation!The biggest problem I have with this app is that the pronunciation for the Arabic is way off more often than not. It sounds like google translate typical errors. This app would be wonderful if they paid a native to do the pronunciations. 2 stars for now and no I will not pay for a subscription unless they take my advice. ✓ Errors, errors, and more errorsYou have a good system here but there are wayyy too many vocabulary errors for you to be charging the money I pay. I am using this app to learn/reinforce Greek vocabulary but much of the vocabulary has a horrible (confusing) translation choice and/or they aren’t presented in singular nominative (how they are listed in dictionaries). My question is who inputs the words and how do you aggregate the vocabulary? What I’m gathering is that it is not a Greek speaker and probably more automated. You need to make the vocabulary user-editable. Present the lists as a preset but allow us to fix the mistakes we know are wrong. ✓ Honest feedbackThe app well designed and worth the time to use it as learning opportunity however most of the services being provided by app charge the user among 35 sections only 1 section of flashcards is free the rest are premium. ✓ Love the app, I don’t like the offer for a free month that is not really trueIt seems like a really good app, I’m a little hesitant about the price though because I can get Duolingo for less than half the price so I wanted to try the one month free. When I went to take advantage of the promotion it attempted to charge my card the full $30 for the month. So that’s not a free month if that happens. That’s a paid for month. ✓ HorribleSo I downloaded this app hoping to learn French. I have been looking at different language learning apps and reading the reviews I decided to get this one. Once it finished downloading I opened the app and tried to find where to start I found where you insert the language you wish to learn and went to look where you start the lesson. It said flash cards but there was nothing to learn yet it was a waste of time. ✓ Cantonese/ Traditional ChineseThis app is essentially a bad imitation of duolingo. If you downloaded this app for Cantonese (traditional Chinese) don’t bother. Most the vocab is incorrect and the audio is in mandarin so it doesn’t even match the flash cards. Developers, if you’re reading this - you may aswell take traditional Chinese off your range of languages. If you re-do it properly and then add it, you will have cornered a whole market of people who want to learn Cantonese. Babbel and duolingo and other big names in language learning apps don’t have Cantonese (traditional Chinese). Only drops and independent apps. But considering this app is essentially doing the exact same thing as duolingo, babbel etc. then people will probably just go to those apps instead anyways. ✓ GlitchyLanguage: Tiếng Việt. I really like a lot of the features of the app, however it isn’t worth the money when so many of these features do not work. They have radio stations/TV channels that are never functioning. And when the app occasionally speaks the words/phrases to me, it is completely incorrect. I believe it’s a technology issue as the sound is broken and doesn’t correlate with the phrases whatsoever. I messaged app support about it, they said they would fix it “soon”. ✓ DO NOT DOWNLOADI downloaded this not realizing that downloading automatically subscribed you to the $30 a month charge regardless of the "month free trial!" When I realized it was a subscription, I decided to download a different app. I came to find out three months later that they had been charging me $32 for three months without my consent or signing up- they just took it straight out of my apple account. ✓ Do Not Recommend! This app may work for some people but not meThere is no verbal only interaction. If you are going to pass any of the material and move on in the app you MUST learn to read and write the language. ALSO signed up for the free trial to test it out and they make it incredibly difficult to find a way to cancel the trial before you have to pay for the first month. ✓ Having issues…I’ve been using this app for a few years and love it. My family is Swedish/Finnish, so I’m working on my Finnish. I’d normally rate this a 5 star, but recently it’s been having issues when taking tests or playing someone. During test taking if I answer one wrong it closes and says I’ve got an “F” sometimes I’ve been only a few answers away from finishing and I’ll get one wrong and boom it’s closed and “F”. One question wrong is not an “F” not even a “D” or “C”.Playing someone sometimes will just shut down or I’ll get 100% vs other person at 85% and it says I lose. ✓ Great concept but very irritating progress reporting!!This app is very easy to understand and very good at teaching however my problem with the app is i will go through the lessons and get all A’s and do really well, then take a test and will get one question wrong out of 20 or so and then it will say I got a d on the test!! ✓ RIP OFF!!!The app itself is fun when it works. However, if you get logged off and you have to sign back in, the app will not recognize the user account. I’ve had to create two subscribe twice now because of this issue. In the latest attempt, I’ve tried to log in using my Apple email and it gives me an error saying it doesn’t recognize the user– despite having purchased a year subscription. I tried to log in through the app maker’s website and it just hangs when I enter the credentials. I’ve sent two emails to the app maker and have not received a response yet. ✓ Awful! Stole my money!They offer a trial. I started it. Later that month, I noticed a $40 charge on my bank account from Apple. I found out it was Lingo. The trial didn’t work, and it charged me for the premium subscription. I am a very careful person. And I enjoy doing trials a lot, and I never mess them up. This was some big on their end. I contacted them and they didn’t give me a refund, and didn’t give me an apology. Also, as far as learning Japanese goes, their product is awful and not worth using. ✓ HebrewFirst off I loved the app. It was so cool to compete against people around the world. And I loved the whole layout of lessons and test. I’m writing this review because I want you to improve your app because I think it has so much potential. Unfortunately the Hebrew grammar and translations are wrong about 1/15 times. Even as a beginner in Hebrew I could tell it was really bad. I asked my husband who is a native speaker for the actual definitions of words and the app was waaaay off the mark. Also the voice does not pronounce the Hebrew words correctly. So unfortunately I had to unsubscribe. Please fix the Hebrew! ✓ Important, read thisI am so confuse how the creater will think a non korean who wants to learn korean, will immediately be able to understand korean traditional words, seriously?? How can i read and memorise and word pronunciation if I cant read Korean word, this is just super super stupid. ✓ Will automatically charge you after downloadingThis rating is more relating to this particular customer experience rather than the application, but I was appalled that after downloading to see what this application was like, it started automatically billing my iTunes account for their subscription. This is incredibly poorly communicated in the application, I did not have to authorize the subscription purchases and I felt this was a huge violation of trust.
