The taste.com.au app is free for the first 1 months and then available on a monthly subscription at only $0.99 per month.

Payment will be charged to iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and cost of renewal is set at prices above. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period.

✓ Seems to have been fixedThis app has clearly had some very bad reviews. It does seem that perhaps it's been fixed. I use the web version a lot and the app is everything I was expecting it to be. $1 a month is good value. Only thing missing is the comments section from the web version - many of the commentators have good tweaks to make a good dish great..PeeebVersion: 1.1.1

✓ App problemsI love the app and always use it when I cook but for the past few weeks it won’t let me open the the app because it says ‘seems like you are having network issue, please try again later’. ✗ Bring back the day recipe!The whole idea I use a cooking app is to help me with that "what shall I cook today" dilemma. I miss the suggestions that came up in the old version when you opened it. Bang - a recipe, if I liked it I put it straight in my favourires. It was a great cross section from mains to desserts. Now when I open the app, first I have to wait for it to load my personalized page, then I have to start searching for what to cook, and what if I want to try a cookbook that is not on my page? More searching. I say: too time consuming, too much clicking, not sure if I'll stick with it (used the old one 5yrs).XOXOXOMarenVersion: 1.1.0

✗ Doesn’t functionFirst time using the app - was scanning through it all was told to subscribe to view more. Thought it was a little odd to need to pay, but went to subscribe anyway and the function doesn’t even work? I tried hitting subscribe multiple times and without even loading the app says says “Failed to finish request, please try again”. I’ve tried restarting the app, restarting my phone and even reinstalling the app but nothing has helped fix this. So the app is rendered completely useless as I now can’t view any more recipes..AjathriaVersion: 1.3.6
