✓ El Paso TimesAs superficial as a USAToday-crafted article can seem at times, a concise approach to the news of the day can be a real benefit. When you can learn the meat of a story in 300 words, it is often much better than having to dissect it out of 1200 words. The Times is part of the USAToday group. Depth occurs rarely, and generally in Sunday editions, with stories of import. Daily, its a quick but insightful read, and the ONLY place in El Paso to give you anything like a comprehensive treatment of the local scene. National and International news (esp. Juarez) could and SHOULD be emphasized more, but that’s where Newsweek comes in. I do miss the kind of depth I could find in Chicago or Atlanta, but this is a totally different market, trying to maintain it’s only daily. If you want, and need, to know what’s happening in El Paso, the TIMES is where you have to be! Before you give up and say you’ll just watch TV news, give an intro subscription a test drive. To paraphrase the old Alka-Seltzer TV ad, Try it, you just might like it. I certainly do!.Version: 6.5.9
