Get Ready For A Wild RideFrom the very start I was intrigued. What was happening in Dorners dreams? But wait, are they even really dreams? He heard voices. Voices? Female voices. This book had my imagination in overdrive. Seduction and passion in way that I would have never imagined. Yet, it all made sense. Sort of. I had to keep reading. The futuristic world was almost unsettling. How could one be held responsible for controlling their body temperature and temperament in order for the community to survive? Imagine that. Insane. What I liked the best was the way the author was able to allow the reader to FEEL the conflict in both Dorner and Rin. Love, desire, shame, and even fear. How often do you meet someone that truly accepts you for who you really are? Encourages you to face your deepest daemons AND stands by your side through it all? Oh, Tongue was a beast. For both of them. This love story was a true work of science fiction with hints of compassion and loving. While reading this, I found myself rooting for both Rin and Dorn to work out BOTH of their pasts and live happily ever after. Do they? There was love, passion, violence, jealousy, pain, ohhh and FIRE. Take your time and take it ALL in. There’s a lot going on and when you take your time and feel the characters, it all makes sense and again, gets that imagination into overdrive. Nice job..Version: 1.5.5

A great little reading appGreat stuff.Version: 1.7.0

Really strange book, Really Great AppOk, I have to start this review by stating that this was the strangest book I have ever read but that kind of encouraged me to actually finish it. Wild Animus is basically about a recent college graduate who has decided to completely ignore anything to do with the real world. His heavy drug use, paranoia, and lack of close friends, send him on a path of self-destruction that is easy to see what the end will be. He connects with the wild and thinks he’s a ram while being chased by wolves, all while his girlfriend is working in a cafe in Alaska to support this super weird lifestyle of his. The book is written in the strangest way imaginable. Rich Shapero starts the book out by telling the complete ending. So, all the surprise is out of the box before you actually start the book. The rest of the book is just this crazy, forbidden adventure that draws the map to what you already know. The adjectives are literally piled upon each other, making this is a very hard book to read at times. Even through the difficulty of the book, it was still fascinating and absolutely interesting. I would be very interested to know how Rich Shapero is in real life. I couldn’t help but feel like this book was somehow, loosely based on his actual life, as strange as that may sound. It just seemed impossible someone could have this much knowledge about some of the issues mentioned unless they had lived that moment out themselves. Dive if you feel you’re up to it, but be prepared for the weirdest thing you’ve ever read. Now, that being said, reading the book in the interactive way that this app allowed was amazing!! I loved the music and pictures and I thought they all drastically improved this book than just reading it by itself. I like the idea of making the book come to life and I hope more books will take this route as well!.Version: 1.4.0

Awesome conceptThis app is very easy to use and it’s a great tool to use whenever you need a good read to help get you through the day! Highly recommend!.Version: 1.6.3

Arty HeavenLove the mixture of art and stories, captivated and enchants. The only failing is the small fonts which make reading slightly harder, especially for my dad who attempted to use the app too. But overall loved it..Version: 1.6.3

FeedbackHad a really nice guy give out some leaflets at my Uni about this app so gave it a go. I think it is a brilliant concept and the stories seem really interesting! 5 stars from me!.Version: 1.7.1

Great ExperienceThis should be the new way to read books!.Version: 1.6.3

Really great storytellingBalcony of Fog is a truly unique experience. There are several options for reading this book. You can buy the Kindle version, a hardcover version, or there are versions available in the iTunes App Store and the Google Play store. The versions on iTunes and Google Play are where the really interesting experience really shines. You are able to read the book from the downloaded app just like you would any other book. However, the book is augmented by custom music and videos that add to the story and make it a lot more interactive than the average reading experience. The apps work well are are well-designed. The straight-up reading experience is not as nice as a book or even the Kindle app on the phone. But it is a reasonable experience and the additional features more than make up for the slight inconvenience. The story itself is well-written with characters that are not just placeholders on a page. The plot, characters, and setting all work together to make for a really fun, dystopian read. The author manages to merge a dystopian setting with a love story in interesting ways. Overall, I think this is a book that anyone who loves fiction should pick up. The interactive elements make for an engrossing experience that adds a lot to the story..Version: 1.7.1

Very interesting!I don't know why someone would rate this less than 5 stars! About halfway through Rin Tongue and Dorner I found this app but I wish I had sooner. The art and interactive aspect is pretty cool and new, I think he's onto something here..Version: 1.5.5

Interesting ideaSuch an interesting concept. I look forward to reading all other books. Interface is actually presets intuitive. Easy to use, and the stories seem pretty decent..Version: 1.6.3

Love itIt took me a few tries to get into but I love the concept and Dorners character! I’ll definitely be reading them all..Version: 1.5.5

Interesting ideaThe concept of interactive fiction is an interesting one. When I first heard of this app, I almost expected it to be an adult version of a choose your own adventure novel, but that’s what this is. It’s more of a reading experience. The story is combined with music and art specifically chosen to go with the story. It’s a very interesting idea. Who doesn’t like to listen to music while reading? This way it’s not just random music you’re listening to, but something that compliments the story. There’s also art work that goes with the story. It’s not so much an interactive look, but a more immersive experience. The design of the app takes a minute to learn, but once you do it’s very easy to use. To read the story it’s a simple swipe left or right. But you can do other things like split the page in half so you can get a closer look at the music and art work. I’ve never tried to have that kind of experience and I like it a lot. So far the only story I’ve been able to read is Wild Animus, but it was enough to get me hooked. The story telling is great and really pulls you into the characters and action. Once you start reading, it’s hard to put down. I will say my only regret is this kind of thing isn’t available on a computer. I’m not usually a big fan of reading on my phone, but for this type of book, I’ll make an exception..Version: 1.4.0

Intriguing BookRin, Tongue and Dorner is an interesting novel with many plot twists and turns. This interactive book accompanies text, songs and art to make the book truly captivating. I found myself drawn to the main character, Dorner, from the beginning of the novel. He seems to be a truly heroic figure in the community- a prime example of an optimal citizen. Throughout the book, we learn that he has many secrets and inner conflicts that influence his life. He is plagued with guilt, sexual frustration and anger as he battles his inner demon, Tongue. Tongue makes the book interesting; playing on natural emotions like jealousy, anger, intimacy and guilt. We see Dorner’s relationship with Tongue wax and wain throughout the story as his relationship and intimacy grow with his partner, Rin. It becomes clear that only one person is to be in Dorner’s life, and it will have to be either Rin or Tongue. This creates quite an interesting tale....Version: 1.5.5

Great appLove this app. Spend endless hours on it. It’s so me, it’s nearly perfect..Version: 1.7.0

Thank youI only download this so I could get among us mod so good great job 5stars.Version: 1.8.1

GrowtopiaI was brought here from an 1568 gem offer and I think this app is really nice.Version: 1.4.0

Loved this!I thought it was really great! You should definitely check this out!!!.Version: 1.6.3

Book was goodAside from the many grammatical errors, which bothered me horribly at the beginning, I really did enjoy this book. The book’s title also confused me, but I have to put that aside because the book wasn’t that bad. This book begins in a world of the future. I love a good sci-fi book, so I was pulled in immediately! Dorner is the main character and he is being haunted by a part of his own personality. Tongue is haunting him and he is now on a journey to find out why. Dorner has many important issues please in his community that he must keep up with though. One of those is to keep his community warm. In this society, global warming has been wreaking havoc on the whole world. Dorner is plagued by some of the memories of his past though. Known as a sex fiend is his younger years, he has vowed to remain celibate. He meets Rin who is a doctor who wants to find out who Tongue is and why he is plaguing Dorner. The book shares many sexual exploits and they are well written. I love the app and how it combines art, music, and literature to become an interactive app..Version: 1.5.5

Beautiful and spectacularHello, I’d like to know how the deer earned their antlers as it seems mysterious to me. I enjoy reading and seeing visuals from the author’s work..Version: 1.5.5

The future of readingI’ve actually always turned on certain music while reading certain books it was really exciting to put that in someone else’s hands. I got this book for free at the Texas book Festival and it was absolutely worth it I love all aspects of the app and book. And the person who thought it was going to be a choose your own adventure type of thing needs to go back to goosebumps... Keep up the great work.Version: 1.3.2

GoodGood stories that really put you in the stories and make you feel like you are experiencing it first hand.Version: 1.6.3

EnjoyablePretty interesting story, overall I am enjoying it..Version: 1.6.3

A Decent IdeaI found access to be simple, text easy to read, and decent variety of stories. There are quite a few spelling and grammatical errors that detract from the enjoyment; an editor (or at least a couple good voices for audio versions) is necessary..Version: 1.6.3

Book was very interestingI’m not the biggest reading fan. But this book was a very good read. From the start I was hooked. The art the music just perfect..Version: 1.7.0

GreatHonestly It was so amazing I would definitely recommend this to my friends..Version: 1.6.3

Nice Design and ContentI really enjoyed the app, nice content and design, there more work to do but it’s good so far.Version: 1.6.3

MehIt was ok, nothing special but still good. 10/10 would get if I didn’t already..Version: 1.7.0

Great conceptIf you’re into reading ebooks and music i think this will be ideal. The concept is actually quite good because you’re able to read a book while visualising it with the music and backgrounds. It’s almost like you can imagine yourself in the book so i’d suggest wearing headphones and being in a quiet place while reading and listening to the music play. Also the music choice is optional so it doesn’t play unless you click on it. Either way, the layout of the ebook is very artistic. I guess this app is a combo of art, music and writing/reading which is cool. The only reason i gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is mainly because i’m not really into any of the book choices but, nevertheless, it is a great app and i enjoyed reading half of Arms of the sea. It is also very animated and would be better to just click or swipe the next page but that doesn’t change anything..Version: 1.6.3

TooFar MediaWhile on vacation, I recently was searching for a new book to read online when I discovered the TooFar Media app by Rich Shapero on ITunes. I was very interested in the concept of combining a wok of fiction with both original music and original art for one completely immersive and interactive experience for the reader. This app did not disappoint my expectations. I easily downloaded and selected one of Rich Shapero’s fictional works, Wild Animus, on the TooFar Media app. Wild Animus is a colorful and brilliant complex description of one man’s journey to self- discovery by living and evolving into a primal form in the wilderness of Alaska. The story is beautifully written although it does not take a traditional route in the timeline for Sam, the main character. Mr. Shapero’s story is accompanied on the TooFar Media app by coordinating music, the majority of which was also created by Rich Shapero. In addition to both the story and music, artwork by Donald Pass is also included to complete the immersive experience. After reading Wild Animus, I will definitely use the app again to enjoy another one of Rich Shapero’s interactive literary experiences..Version: 1.4.0

An enjoyable excursion in words, art and music.I’ve only delved into the story the app is named for, Too Far, it is a modern fairy tale in the vein of Neil Gaiman, it is well told, the accompanying map and music fit the whimsical and mysterious tone. Truth be told, I downloaded and checked out so I could enter for the iPad, bonus in that I actually am enjoying the app and the writing in particular. Thank you. Def will recommend..Version: 1.6.3

MsLove love love. Incredible app. Prepare to be taken to another world. Books are totally weird and wonderful. Found some new amazing artists too with the sound track. Recommend..Version: 1.3.1

Pretty goodAt first I was skeptical as I don’t download very many interactive books on the App Store. Besides a couple of freezes, moments where my phone lagged a bit, and grammatical errors, I very much enjoyed my experience..Version: 1.7.0

Extremely cool appThis app takes reading to a whole new different level lots of cool effects and story’s.Version: 1.7.0

Interesting ConceptI like the concept of using layers to tell different pieces of the story. I began reading parts of the books and I already noticed some typos. I don’t know how recently this app was release, but it needs more stories and more of a selection for users to choose from (a.k.a. Genres, subgroups, themes, etc). *Something to consider: possibly a VR layer with story video..Version: 1.7.0

It’s fun he got boringThis app is really good but I don’t like it just because it’s boring it used to be fun but it’s OK I recommended it.Version: 1.8.0

Excellent ideaFantastic app - range of free novels and immersive stories.Version: 1.7.1

A new reading experienceI recently read “Balcony of Fog” and it was one of the most interesting experiences I’ve ever had. The immersion you feel when reading is something I find hard to explain with words. The incredible music, the art style, and all of the new things this experience adds to traditional reading, creates what I can only define as cinematic literature. The story itself was already gripping and wonderfully told, but I can’t say enough about immersion you feel while reading. It’s something that needs to be experienced and I highly recommend everyone to do so!.Version: 1.7.1

Great appLove this app great for a night chilling out in bed or on the sofa.Version: 1.6.3

Discovered a great new Library of Fiction WritingI downloaded this app because it sounded intriguing to have an author’s library of fiction in one place. I was interested enough by the first few paragraphs of Dissolve, and now I can’t put it down. I love how there’s other media to discover too, adding visual and audio to the written word of the story. Very cool!.Version: 1.9.1

OkIt’s a fine app.Version: 1.5.3

Fantastic!A passionate and thought-provoking world of fiction, music, and art, in a truly immersive app!.Version: 1.14.1

Not your standard book.I like the mixture of media and the directions were very easy to understand..Version: 1.7.0

Amazing story and very cool appWhat a wonderful way to expand the imagination through words and enhanced with video and further information – all right the same app! I read the Balcony of Fog and found the story to be amazing – especially as it was enhanced by videos and sounds to place you at the heart of the plot and help you to understand what the characters might be going through as well as feeling physically. This interactive way of telling the story was the first time I have ever experienced reading a book this way and it was very cool. The plot opens to darkness and fear and the poetic and delightfully descriptive writing keeps you immersed in the story by being both tender and hard – even violent at times – and never letting you go. This is a story about love, fear, hope, jealousy, and rage all taking place between three people on two planes and in two states of existence. The notion that one can steer his own ship and shape his own destiny is one that runs through the book as is the notion that with great emotion comes great power and great weakness. Our main character, Arden, learns about these conditions as he escapes the bleak existence he was born into with a beautiful and mysterious woman to go live as vapor and energy in the sky on a cloud. Estra, the mystery woman has secrets that Arden only learns about after he has left everything he knows behind and followed her into her previous realm of the clouds. These characters are so well developed that the reader can’t help but churn with emotion as each page is turned and another layer is revealed. A wonderful book and total experience in this story and app!.Version: 1.7.1

Too Far MediaI did enjoy the stories and the format, but would prefer it in portrait mode over landscape..Version: 1.7.0

Really goodI was iffy at first, I downloaded it through a tapjoy page to get coins for Topps Skate. I had to read two chapters, but I didn’t stop. I’ve really enjoyed it and do recommend..Version: 1.5.5

Essential for Art LoversThe writing is gorgeous, the music is haunting, and the artwork is really something to behold. This app is an absolute must for any art lovers who are looking for a memorable experience. It also is beyond simple to navigate, making all of this truly stress-free. Download this app; You won't regret it..Version: 1.3.2

😍The combination of music and storytelling is one of the best ones yet and TooFar Media have got it spot on with this app. Reading the stories while having the music play as you go is spectacular from a reader’s perspective as it helps picturing the story taking place around you. I’m definitely recommending this to my friends and family.Version: 1.7.0

Nice concept, worth downloadingThe app is free so worth downloading and giving it a go. The stories are interesting and I love the concept of matching the story with art and music. Looking forward to see what other stories they release!.Version: 1.3.1

Wonderful App w/Lots of Engaging and Wild Stories & ArtJust finished my fourth title in this app and just love how the novels have music and art animations underneath the book for you to discover. These elements really enhance the storytelling. Can’t recommend this app highly enough!.Version: 1.14.0

Thanks, TooFar Media!I've been looking for an app like this, without knowing exactly what I was looking for until I found it! It showcases a new way of telling stories, consisting of (mostly short) novels and then paintings and music and videos that you have to dig down to unlock, and that change from chapter to chapter. The novels themselves are pretty edgy and otherworldly and lyrically written. Some of the artwork is incredibly beautiful and like nothing I've ever seen. Some of the paintings are actually animated, which is especially cool. And the music takes the stories to even deeper dimensions with original songs and fantastic vocals. I feel like I stumbled on a digital treasure and keep on going back to read and watch and listen to yet another immersive story..Version: 1.14.3

Whoa .... AmazingI downloaded this app for a reward on another game , But just wow i was taken as soon as i heard the music it spoke to me , the story and the art just wow i am so glad to have downloaded this.Version: 1.5.5
