✓ Fun Game with lots of reading funMy 7 year old has been playing this all weekend. She had gotten bored with the Teach Your Monster to Read game as she is pretty much past phonics and reading fairly fluently. This is a great game for squeezing in more fun reading. My 3 year old and I play this game together and I read everything to him. It’s really fun, especially if you feel like you need a change up in your reading with your kid routine. Both kids like the selection of books. My daughter has found one bug: changes she makes to her monster’s appearance don’t stay saved and it reverts once she steps outside her house..Version: 1.0.6

✓ ExcellentThis app is just as great as their first, Teach Your Monster to Read! My 4 year old and 7 year old both really enjoyed this app today, and I did as well. We are looking forward to many hours playing on it. Update: my 4yo and now 8yo absolutely love this app. My 4yo’s reading ability is rapidly improving using this app and Teach Your Monster to Read, and my 8yo could read well but was reluctant to read on her own - now she loves earning books and is happy to read the books she earns, and has begun reading more overall..Version: 1.1.2

✓ Great reading RPGWe’ve been playing this since we got to beta test it. It is so much fun. It’s an RPG (role playing game) that teaches reading. Kiddos don’t even realize it’s teaching them as they play. “Secret homework” as Peter Usborne would say. Increase skills as you read the interaction between players and earn books for completing quests/tasks to help the villagers. And it has a read along for kiddos that need help. ✓ Really like this game but would like UK accents for booksThis game is very sweet! My four year old has had an initial play and I find the animation etc all really lovely. My only gripe so far is that the first two books are read in an American accents, and I’m now wondering if they all are... I’m really not opposed to children hearing and learning to understand lots of different global accents, but the original Teach Your Monster to Read teaches British English and I’m keen that in the early stages of learning to read children can match the phonics sounds they learn with what words sound like when they are read. Great programme though and wonderful to be able to download for free..Version: 1.1.0
