✓ Worst app on phoneI hate that I rely on this for local news. It locks up every other time I use it. The AD causes me to search for other options. It has not had any real design changes in years. Hate how unfriendly the images are and videos rarely load without significant wait time. The app locks up almost like clock work, every other time I try and use it. It’s strange to me that no one at KY3 uses this app - if they did they would have someone fix it..Version: 1.2.4
✓ What happened?This has been a fairly standard news app with typical ad heavy content that worked great. However, since 1.1.5 a month ago, the continuous crashing and general unpredictability have prompted me to avoid using this app..Version: 1.1.6
✓ Worst App I've Ever UsedYour "new" v3 version doesn't work on my older iPad. Used to, at least your old versions worked, not now. But those ads of yours still work in the app of course. The newest version of the weather app hasn't worked on my iPad for some time but the news did. So much for using any of your lame apps. How a good station can have such lame apps is beyond me. For those of you like me who dont have one of the newest iPads, the KOLR old version still works. *** Update - After trying to download the new version again the app asked if I wanted to download the last compatible version and I did. It still initially would only show ads. After opening it and closing 3 or 4 times it *finally* started showing up with stories as before. This is the worst app on my iPad and that I've ever used. ✓ Enough with the advertisementsStorm sirens sound and taking shelter in the basement. When we needed a weather update, we got a 30 second commercial. 30 seconds doesn’t sound like much but it is when you need to know where the tornado is. There is an advertisement when you open the app. Another between forecasts and video. One more at the bottom, then you have watch one every expletive time you up a video. I would gladly pay for a version of both the KY3 apps to not have to deal with the stupid advertisements. I am going to delete this one until the do something different..Version: 1.2.0
✓ App freezes up frequentlyKY3 is my favorite local news channel. I wish the news articles didn’t freeze up, forcing me to abandon their app and seek local news elsewhere. 10 nicknames later my review is rejected due to the name previously being used. Coincidence?.Version: 1.2.4

✓ Spamming AdsYour app crashes daily now ever since you added the automatic ad that you have to cancel out of. I understand the business aspect of it but it’s ridiculous how many ads you have in all of your stories. ✓ Terrible Terrible Terrible Terrible Terrible!! One terrible for every star you don’t have.Horrible app. Crashes not just the app but completely shuts down my phone. Maybe KY3 can’t afford to pay an editor. I would think they could based on the payroll they’re not paying to get good reporters. ✓ Seems Like Only Bad NewsI have installed and deleted this app several times over the years. I just now deleted it ... again. I try to look for information that I can use and help myself and my family. In the end however, it’s the negative news that gets the headline and I just do not need any more negativity in the world. Also I feel that it is a little ridiculous to have to close the Cherokee Firearms advertisement every time I open the app. KY3 is fine as a reporting agency. The choices of what make to the app however makes it “Not the Place to Be”..Version: 1.2.9
✓ Needs a lot of improvementWhile reading text the paragraph jumps up and down on my iPhone. I think the flashing ads are causing this. ✓ Stopped WorkingI’ve had many issues with this app. I have had a problem with trying to view a tornado warning to find out if my family needed to move to the basement when an ad popped up and covered the whole screen where I could no longer see the weather warning. Every time I went back in it happened again. Recently the app has stopped working altogether. It either kicks me out as soon as I get in or won’t let me in at all. ✓ TerribleI expected so much more from KY3. This app has way too many ads. Doesn’t load about half the time. And, slideshow of images never works. Many times a story will reference a slideshow of images to scroll through and it either isn’t there at all or you can’t scroll through the images. I keep thinking this will be fixed but after 3 updates...still the same problem. Come on KY3, fire these developers and create an app people can actually use..Version: 1.3.1

✓ Forced into ad while monitoring tornado warning?I was in the middle of reading a TORNADO WARNING for a neighboring county, and as I am reading what counties are going to be in the path of the storm, and trying to determine my family's risk of being caught in its path, an ad popped up, and took over my screen telling me that I had just won a $500 Walmart gift card, and it would not let me go back to the tornado warning. I had to quickly switch to a different weather source to finish reviewing the warning. Considering the nature of the storm, I am highly disappointed that this happened, and this is something that should be fixed quickly!.Version: 1.1.4

✓ A nightmare of advertisements await youI have never seen so many advertisements in a single app. They pop up, they slide in, they take over, they annoy you, they’re not closable, and more!! The entire app is not centered around news and content it’s centered around Clickbait so that you accidentally click an advertisement and make the developer money. ✓ Liberal reporting in 90% conservative regionI don’t understand why your station is biased and trying to adhere to national liberal media standards? This is a conservative dominated region. It is obvious by the reporting and personal opinions of the anchors. In public schools locally they are forcing kids to watch CNN locally without permission from parents and we know CNN is liberal. Why is this happening? Are you aware of your region and what appeals to them? Do you really care about local citizens and what they want to watch? ✓ Battery drains EXTREMELY quicklyEver since my phone updated to iOS 11 the battery life has been TERRIBLE. I just looked at this app for 5 minutes and watched my battery life go from 87% to 60%. In the 11 minutes since I closed the app and have been discussing and writing this comment, my battery life is still at 60%..Version: 1.1.4

✓ The ads delegitimize your news stationKY3 should be aware that although the news portion of the app is good, the click bait ads make it hard to tolerate the platform and view KY3 as a legitimate news source. Link to local “real” companies not make up click hungry pseudo companies.Version: 1.1.7

Your audience deserves to know more - recovery rates, those who have survived, a personal story of restored health and vitality. The human soul is not wired to hear just negative news. ✓ Huge opening adThis is much better than the previous version, but the ad that pops up over the whole screen immediately on opening is too much. Do you really need a 5 second ad in addition to all of the ads in there regular news feed? I will be deleting and reading local news from a different source. Latest version is a huge battery drain. Reading two stories makes by battery drop 20%. Edit: the return of the ad on the splash screen has done it. I have deleted and switched to a different local news provider who still had plenty of ads in their app but are not nearly as intrusive..Version: 1.1.6
