Read the full review, if the developers are reading this pleaseYes, i am a teen using this app. And yes, i do deeply hate this app. However, i do understand it’s purpose and it does it’s job very well. This review is solely to try to fix some bugs that really inconvenience me every day with this. The main bug that is that whenever my phone gets disabled, it turns off notifications for everything. I understand not getting notifications when i’m not supposed to. However, when it gets reenabled, i have to go through all of my apps and reenable the notifications. Also, with some apps like Instagram, it completely removes the option to turn notifications back on. I can fix it by reinstalling it, however the same problem occurs whenever my phone gets disabled and reenabled. I don’t completely know if this can be fixed without affecting other things, however, it would be amazing if the developers that make this app could fix it. Other than that, the app does everything it was meant to do. It is a well designed and developed app, with very few bugs. In fact, i can’t think of any other bugs off the top of my head. As i said before, i really don’t like the app, but does any teen that this app is being used on really enjoy it? It does its job finely, and the developers deserve props for it..Version: 7.0

We’re trying to enable deleting apps but it’s not working for some reasonWe have been having problems with the app. You see, my mum has restricted being able to delete apps, but there’s some apps that we both want to delete now. We’ve been trying to enable deleting apps, but it’s not working. So we need help please..Version: 8.7.7

Coming from the childBefore I had this app I never knew the schedule times for when I get blocked, now that my mum told me to get this app, I can easily keep track of the schedules. The other reviews are hilarious “caused child trauma”😂, the child was obviously trying to get rid of this new system, and it looked like it worked, good job for him. My parents aren’t that dumb, and I actually appreciate what they’re doing. I’m 16 fyi, I promise I’m not a parent, maybe I’m just responsible or something..Version: 4.9

I don’t really knowI have this app because my parents made me and to be honest It does the job it protects me from getting addicted but I just wish that my parents would trust me a bit more because all my other friends don’t have screen time or anything like that and I’m the only one.Version: 8.5.1

OurPact Jr. - Unexpected GratitudeAs a person who had this app growing up as a young teenager, I had initially struggled with limits. My parents had enforced this software onto the family devices because of overuse on phones, and it was a genuine problem. But I feel as though, thanks to this app, me and my brothers learned how to restrain ourselves from pouring hours into mindlessly scrolling on devices. There were a few clumsy crashes with the app, but they have probably been resolved since I last had the application. On another note, the reviews on this app are NOT an accurate representation of the software itself, rather it is frustrated 12 year olds who have had their first taste of limitations on their devices, and for parents scared off by this - fear not. Your kids will slowly come to appreciate your concern for their internet consumption and putting on limits. Healthy minds need healthy habits..Version: 8.5.2

Excellent optionWe talk to our child We work with her daily regarding the use of a phone This app gives us an ultimate option if needed..Version: 8.5

An objective reviewI’m monitored by OurPact but I’m leaving this review as objective as I can- because I want others considering this app to hear a non-biased opinion from the “victim” side. It’s very effective for restricting your children’s access, which, for the purpose of this app is great. It can remove everything, from safari and Siri to the notes app and camera. I would consider though the safety risks of removing per say the notes, camera, or safari app. Though it seems like in an emergency you’d only need phone capabilities but I’m assuming a child is being monitored who uses a iPad over an iPhone. Kids are smart when it comes to emergencies. When I was 10 years old i was alone and got locked out of my house and figured out how to download a online phone application through the AppStore. I don’t know what apps you can selectively control but if you can I’d keep restrictions light on things such as safari and the AppStore if your planning to restrict your child’s iPad or unserviced iPhone. Overall works great with a few bugs. If I were a parent who valued control this would be the best approach..Version: 4.9

Why?!I am far to old to still be having this app. Although it does limit my time it’s really annoying having to remember to pause my time and you can’t re-arrange your apps! So my Home Screen is a mess! And I really wish that it gave you warnings when instead its just going to kick you out of what your playing. I guess it works but it drives me nuts and there are some things they need to fix. I also forgot if you want to text people half of your text don’t come through when your time is paused. I think that if a few bugs are fixed it will make it a lot better, and less of a pain. I understand though why our parents do this. It’s is not to torture us (although sometimes it feels like that), but to help us. They are really doing it to make us be happier in the long term because being on a screen all day is extremely bad for our growing brains. It works well, there are a few things I’d add (like reminders when at 2mins left or something) over all yes it works..Version: 8.5

Pretty okYes I am a kid that uses this, but honestly, if we didn’t have this app (at least me) we’d get NO sleep! Then I’d be in my iPhone constantly and it would wreak my posture, and other things like that! Yes, it’s annoying but really it’s good for us..Version: 7.0

Coming from a kidBest app ever has controlled my time on my ipad i suggest this app to young kids & kids not rlly for teens.Version: 8.1

Great untilParents got me this app and I had it for a while. No current problems as my previous ones were resolved. Eventually I didn’t need the app any more, this app doesn’t deserve negative reviews ❤️.Version: 8.5.2

F**king hate itIt’s just the worst thing ever. It ruins relationships with your parents, causes trust issues, and is just AWFUL. And the worst part is that my phone will LITERALLY tease me. Like I’ll have no apps but I’ll still get notifications like from Snapchat or gmail. And I can’t even do my online school work. I literally have so many missing assignments cause I didn’t have my apps to turn the work in or even do it. So yeah now I hate my parents. F**k you to whoever created this stupid app, you get no stars from me😡🤬.Version: 8.5

Needs updates, otherwise the app is great!!Hello, I have had Ourpact for about 2 years now. I think that this app is great for parents! I must say it’s not my favorite because I can’t move any of my apps, but I can see how it is a good app for parents. I think as a parent it is great to know where your kid is and to punish them when they do something bad (by turning off their phone or certain apps). But, I am not writing the review about all that. I think that Ourpact really needs to update some things. There are a bunch of apps that don’t load in Ourpact and they can’t be sorted into a certain place on your screen. I also think that Ourpact needs to keep up with the IOS updates. The IOS 14 update recently came out and I don’t like how I can’t have the new widgets out on my screen. I think that we should have the ability to move around the stuff on our screen without having to go into the app. There is also this new bug since the last update that has made it so I cannot move or delete any of my apps. I really want this to be fixed! Other than that the app is absolutely great! I hope you take my ideas into consideration! Thank You!!!.Version: 8.4

Great AppGreat app works brilliantly. This app gives my child the ability to manage their time and to understand that there is more to life than being glued to their device. They know their allotted time allowance and make sure they have finished a game etc before their time runs out. Since having this installed my child is now outside playing and mixing with his peers rather than being glued to a screen. The other reviews by kids clearly shows the app is working very well and is doing what it’s designed for. My guess is they were spending way too much time on their devices, hence the app being installed. As for talking to them about their screen time before installing it, again shows they clearly didn’t listen when they were talked to. Had they listened the app wouldn’t have needed to be installed. GREAT APP..Version: 8.5

AwesomeI love this app, it helps me manage my two children’s device use time and allows me to schedule times !! My son who is currently prepping for mid-year exams loves this app as it forces him to put his phone down for sleep and study. I would definitely recommend this to any parents..Version: 5.1

Big help to beat the systemOk if you hate this app do this Go to settings In settings go to vpn Then find our pact Click on it and click remove profile Enter your password Boom! No more parental controls.Version: 8.6.3

Does What Its Supposed To, Stop WhiningI’ve gone through a lot of the reviews, and honestly it sounds like a bunch of spoiled children crying about how they don’t get what they want. Yes, it can be annoying. Why have a phone when you can’t use it when you want? It’s so you can actually have an actual LIFE outside of devices. If your parents are always on their phones, and you feel it’s unfair, I get it. I have that situation too, but there are plenty of other things to do to keep busy. And I’m on the older teen spectrum that has this app being used. If you’re on the younger spectrum (middle school and lower), I suggest you give it a chance and ask your parents for some help understanding it. Trust me, it makes a lot more sense as you’re older and have work, school, and are learning to/already can drive. The only issue I have with this is the fact I have to organize my home screen through the app rather than how I normally might. I get it’s probably to stop kids from deleting this app, but it’s quite annoying to fix everything when my deleted apps (a lot of the pre-downloaded ones I don’t use) still appear in the app and not on my home screen. It’s something I can get used to though..Version: 8.4

Best App Ever Made!I am a mother of two boys ages (9) and (14). We have been struggling with screentime rules in our house. The kids always find a way to sneak on their phones. This app completely blocks it all and allows us to have communication and family time. It is amazing. Also I saw all the kids brilliantly posting on how to disable this app. Let me in return help all the parents. On iPhones under settings>general>restrictions there is a passcode you can set up that doesn’t interfere with the passcode the kids already have on the phone. It is completely separate. Once you pick a passcode you can go into the phone and manually disable safari and make all games and music age appropriate. Also you can go to account changes. Then click the lovey little option that says accounts, then click beside allow changes. This will no longer allow the child into the settings of the phone to delete this app. They will be frozen out of it. Hope this helps all of you parents out there! Keep fighting the good fight!.Version: 5.1

Wow...This is very useful because sometimes when I’m playing a video game I get absorbed into the game.Makes sure I don’t get to addicted to video games! (I’m a kid).Version: 4.9

Negative reviewsAll these negative reviews are by people who have supervised access to their devices. It’s for your own good..Version: 8.7.6

Why?This app is very helpful but has too many exploits.Version: 8.1

How to remove/exploitHow to Remove/Exploit from an expert 14 year old (sarcastic) I know why it exists but I think it’s the wrong approach if a parent has to install an app to limit phone time instead of trust. Also everyone that is saying that this app ruined your life is pathetic and you never had a life in the first place 🙄 Also Eturi, apple’s Activity app won’t show up on the app organizer pease fix that one app drives me insane not being in a folder. Now for why you’re here 😁 Remove If your parents don’t check it regularly and you can get access to their phone and watch(if necessary) then have their phone ready. Go to settings, general, device management, then click on OurPact and remove management, it will ask you for your phone password. Once management is removed it will send a notification to your parent’s phone/phones and watches clear this notification on all their devices and you should be good as long as they don’t check the app. 🤫 Exploit If you have a lot of offline games then you can turn on airplane mode (swipe up on your screen and select the airplane icon or go to settings) and it won’t block you (don’t know if it uses time or not) remember, anything that uses internet or data won’t work. 😉 You’re welcome pathetic teens who have to send a picture of themselves every 5 minutes to Snapchat or something cause if you don’t “Like, I might literally die” 🤣.Version: 7.0

GreatOurPact is very useful for its intended purpose, which is to enable a parent to restrict their child’s screen time when needed. When I was thirteen and WAY too addicted to instagram, this was a great way for my mother to shut it off to stop any distractions from when I was studying. The only reason I give it four stars instead of ten, is that the app is seemingly difficult to navigate. On weekends my phone would still be blocked, despite my mother claiming to have set limits only during the week, but after some help we got it fixed. The only other problems that could arise is misuse by the parent in this situation, by restricting too many apps so that their child cannot communicate to them if they need them back. In all really useful for a parent, but can be problematic if you don’t get the plus version, otherwise many modes of needed communication are blocked..Version: 8.5.1

TerribleIgnore earlier comment, came from my child, only feedback would be adding notification / warning when block about to be enabled (creates angst when kids are suddenly ejected from games)..Version: 8.5

Things to FixNow as a kid I hate this app. However I understand that my parents are just trying to help. If they are going to help though, I’d like a few things from you guys. First of all please fix the problem to where I will wake up in the morning and the second it is 7:00 (that is the time I get un-blocked) there is no time left. This leads me to my second and final thing to fix. Please make it so that instead of just giving us hours that we can’t pause and in-pause (the rewards thing I get when the first problem happens) the parents can also give hours to there kids that they can un-pause. I think this would be a good thing for kids in school that use Ipad. Usually I am given 3 hours, and I use about an hour of that for various school work. But then those next two hours I use it to play on my iPad while my mom works. Thank you for listening but if at all possible destroy this app. If that is not possible please try and use my ideas..Version: 4.9

At least you have screen timeOk I read the reviews on this and almost all of them are one star 😂 but I get why parents would want us to have this, it’s mostly so they make sure what we are doing isn’t bad and that we aren’t using too much time. I mean before you write a review you have ya at least look at why your parents actually got this. I mean look on the bright side at least you get screen time. I know some of your parents might not give you a scheduled time but STILL at least you have a phone. I get an hour a day and that’s fine with me but just I get a lil mad when it blocks me so one thing I’d want you to add is a reminder so when you have thirty minutes left, fifteen, five, four, three, two, and one minute left. So I know when I am about to be blocked. So then I can finish the important stuff i was going to do. I have parental controls on my Nintendo switch, computer, and my phone. And OurPact is the only one that doesn’t have a reminder. I hope you consider adding this. And also the people that are complaining that they have OurPact on their phone, why are you writing a review that you are mad that you still have it? Like how is writing a review going to help you? If you want it off the only way you are going to be able to get it off is to talk to the person that put it on there..Version: 8.1

We can do betterI'm 15 and have had this app for about 2 year's but I just gotta say, teenagers are so dramatic 😂 I find it so funny that the parental version of this app has about 4.5 stars but this one has 1.3 because it's full of a bunch of angry teenagers explaining how their life is "ruined" because there screen time is being managed by their parents haha, but come on guys, your reviews are only proving to parents that the app works and yes it does have a few bugs and I do get frustrated at how limited my screen time is too sometimes but I can tell you that your parents are trying their best to find a way to take care of you and give you the best advantage at life and sometimes that means doing things that you disagree with but that will help improve your life for the better, and often they do make bad decisions but that doesn't mean they aren't trying. So don't be mad at your parents for parenting, it really is hard trying to manage a teenager sometimes and nobody is perfect so neither are they..Version: 8.6.3

Great and effective appEver since I downloaded this app I’ve been able to stop wasting so much of my time on social media and I’m able to get more done. Great and useful concept, thank you for making this app!.Version: 8.5

Ignore the negative reviewsThe negative reviews are all toxic 12 year olds. You will be able to limit your child’s screen time. You can both negotiate a time limit as well. It will help them appreciate it when they grow up..Version: 8.5

Great appAfter getting totally sick of standing around waiting for my kids to get off the screens when we were trying to go to school, bed, outings or homework, I was so relieved to find ourpact. With just a few steps on my phone, their games would vanish from the device and we would be on our way. The premium version lets you leave whatever apps you like still available. Internet blocking just didn’t cut it for my family. I needed something that actually removes all sources of entertainment off the device. Easy to use and set up schedules. As long as device is connected to wifi I can access it remotely and change settings if I need to..Version: 5.1

Simple but effectiveIt does what it does, gives access to the child when they are allowed to have it. The only thing that would make it better would be a more user friendly app organiser function..Version: 8.7.6

Good for parents not for kidsOkay so the app is okay. My parents have it on my phone and I get taking away the apps when I’m not paying attention or not answering calls. The only annoying thing with that is that sometimes I can’t answer the phone cause my phone is dead, set to do not disturb(due to being at school), or not being able to reach the phone ( sleeping, hanging info with friends/family). Whenever the apps get taken away, my apps return in a weird order and it takes me a while to set them back. Occasionally, our pact will take away my apps at random times even when my mom didn’t activate the lock. I feel that this is a great app for kids that are young and need to control their screen time and that are unfocused in school and are univolved in sports etc. But as a kid that is 13 and has straight a’s and is in numerous sports, I feel that I don’t need the app. I can use the phone responsibly. I have nothing really against the app, I mean they cannot control the age that you have the app installed on your phone at. It is a great concept for younger and less responsible kids. The only annoying things are when the app glitches and having it installed at my age..Version: 8.5
