✓ This app is stupidIm 12 years old and i have had this app for a little more than a year and I hate this app so much already. I know that this app is so that parents can keep track of what you’re doing but my parents are already on me about my phone 24/7 and this just makes it worse because, 1. my parents barely check the app and they block stuff that i actually need like the phone app or messages in case of an emergency and 2. the app is so laggy and bad and every time my phone gets unblocked, all of my apps are unorganized and messed up, and I know that there is the app organizer but its so bad and I have to move the apps one by one since the app organizer is outdated and I cant move multiple apps at a time, and there isnt any custom widgets that you can add so it is a useless feature in my opinion. Some things I suggest is that they update the app and app organizer because its not just the organizer thats utterly horrible, its the entire app itself. Whenever I unpause my screen time it takes like 10 minutes to proccess and I have to wait a while for my apps to show up. Another thing is that whenever I close my phone without pausing the screen time it still uses my screen time even though the phone isnt even on. Please fix this..Idrk was takenVersion: 8.7.7

✓ Worst child life threatening app ever!!!So I have this app to what feels like forever, and I want to say that it is an unrecommended app for a couple of reasons. Why is because when it blocks your apps go to someone one else and you have to trust random people not to go poking through your stuff also when you have been glitching (pressing the home button twice at the same time the device is about to block then repeat) for a lot, OurPact can cut your WiFi so you can’t play and the WiFi will have issues unless you ask your owner for help. I would like for OurPact to have an update when the iPad blocks it will give you an ten minute extra letting you know that so you can rap up with everything you need to do, it would make the app a lot more better. Right, it’s needed for people who have no control on devices, but I would like to request some edits to make this app a safe, not very stressing triggering app. I would appreciate for someone to admire this. Also I have noticed when you use this app it makes the device have bad quality. ✓ Please listen to what I have to sayI am 12 years old and have had this app for 2 years. Let me tell you this, Ourpact is just not a solution. First of all, barely any kids ( at least at my school) even have an app like ourpact. Having to explain Ourpact to friends and other kids is completely embarrassing. Especially when some kids use their devices MORE than i do, yet they don’t have any restrictions. Second, it makes your kids upset and mad. Yes, the point is to get kids off their phone and they might be upset about it. But instead of that, it just makes them moody, angry, and rebellious. They are constantly thinking, “Why can’t I be like other kids?”. You are making you’re kid feel out of place and embarrassed. Third of all, they are TONS of glitches and cons to this app. With the IOS 14, most kids would love to change their app screen. Well, ourpact doesn’t let you do that. Also, kids will be CONSTANTLY asking you for more time or to unblock and app. It’s annoying for the parent as well as the kid. I know, this probably sounds super dramatic and i’m overreacting. But as a kid who has had this app for too long, your kid is probably feeling like this. So please, if you want to get your kids off their phones, just sit down and talk to them. ✓ A few problemsHi there! I have 2 problems with this app. 1. I am just wondering how I can move the apps i got from the IOS update around on my IPad. I know how to move my apps on OurPact jr but some apps don’t show up o the ‘move apps’ thingy (voice memos, stocks, translate, magnifier etc) therefore i cant move them around and it really bugs me because they are right in the middle of my screen. I tried restarting my iPad (didn’t help) and went onto App Store as well to see if i needed to update OurPact jr to be able to move ALL my apps but still apps didn’t show up. Please fix this! 2. Sometimes when I press the ‘start broadcast’ button, (my parents have OurPact premium so they can see what i am doing and i have to ‘start broadcast’ to have my apps) after a while, it just glitches off meaning i lose my apps. (It says that ‘operation failed’ and i have to start broadcast all over again when i didnt even press ‘stop broadcast’) Its really annoying if i am doing an online test and lose 5 minutes of my test time waiting for my apps to reappear (mainly safari) after i have to press ‘start broadcast’ again. However, my child now has serious trauma after this because he was feeling extremely insecure and now had FOMO because this app prevented him from so much. This app unfair to any teen who’s had this for more than 5 years. The app itself and the limiting time function works but there are so many cons that oppose that one pro. First of all the app is the most glitchy thing on earth. I have no idea how this happened, but my screen time just went poof the other day. My parents said they had nothing to do with it, and that probably I used it all under their nose. Which is what they say about everything. I’m pretty sure it was a glitch, but one time when I was at school with my phone, my dad unblocked all the app so I could write reminders and notes, all the app said was “No Connection, Please Check Wi-Fi Settings.” and my phone has cellular. (No dip.) So when I was trying to remember all day long to do homework, I screwed up a summative test review. I did the homework, but failed the review. Overall this app might help you go play outside for an hour, but this app is supposed to stop addiction but it ends everyday with me in settings till 2 am finding loopholes to it or just trying to play some games that are left. ✓ Consider other appsThis app does exactly what parents would want it to do except for one thing. Usually, when the app is set to turn back on all my apps at 6:30, it does not. My parents will have to manually go on their app and try to fix it because it won’t turn back on automatically. If my parents are busy and cannot turn them back on or are driving, I’m stuck at school without apps I need for school that most of my teachers use daily such as Microsoft teams or TeamSnap. This could potentially be a big problem because I’m on a couple sports teams at my school and if I can’t get any notifications, I won’t know if my bus has left or is leaving and my friends have no way to tell me. If you are a parent that isn’t busy and has time to turn the apps back on then I would recommend the OurPact app to you, but if you are constantly driving kids around or are busy to the point that you are often unable to access your phone then I would highly consider finding a different app. If you don’t believe me or think it won’t be an issue, try the app out and if it works for you, it works. ✓ I’m not a fanI’m not angry as much as some kids I’m 13 btw and have been stuck with it for a couple years. however like many of them said it is a little too restricting for teens although this is the age that it would be needed for me and other people my age like to sneak around at night and I get that, maybe have options on what you want to restrict would be nice or something to customize on the parents side. This is what I can say as a kid and I’m sure that with the parents if there are more issues like this or what not. ✓ I won’t complain, but…As someone older than thirteen years of age, I believe that this app is a large invasion of privacy by tracking which apps to use. As someone who has anxiety and other social disorders, I am constantly worrying about my guardians checking what apps I am using. Although anyone under eighteen isn’t protected by this privacy invasion policy. My other point is the app organizer. As someone with a large OCD problem, my apps getting disorganized hugely distresses me. Especially when the app organizer doesn’t include all apps, such as offloaded apps and the translator app that comes with the new IOS update. And another point regarding the Ourpact app for parents, there has been some bugs on there as well for my guardians, such as my safari app still being accessible. I think the app does its job well, maybe too well, and I definitely think tracking each and every app the child uses is an invasion of privacy for anyone over the age of thirteen, and that’s how it works for Apple’s screen time extension as well. This app overrides, and resets Siri, randomizes where your apps are placed (which makes it difficult to even make a phone call),along with other basic iPhone functions. ✓ My Experience with Our Pact Jr.For context I’m 15 years old and my parents have Our Pact on my iPhone SE (2nd Generation). I’m dislike Our Pact, I typically don’t enjoy when my phone gets blocked but I’m not here to complain about that. I want to suggest some quality of life issues that I think should be fixed or worked around somehow. The first thing is the app itself. Our Pact Jr. is not a great app in terms of user experience, the app often freezes or crashes and often when installing an app, it takes multiple restarts for it to show up in the app organizer making the process of just downloading an app laborious. The second thing about Our Pact is it’s lack of customization. As of IOS 14 iPhones became a lot more customizable with the introduction of widgets and app icon customization. Even though it’s been almost two years since the update released at time of writing (November 14th 2021), Our Pact still has not added support in the app organizer for this fairly basic feature. This might be because of how the app blocks the phone but I still would like to see it in a future update. The last thing is just kind of a personal nuisance but it’s still a problem. Web Links that are saved to the Home Screen won’t show up in the app organizer. So I can’t move them around and put them in the places I want to put them in. The biggest thing is having to pause and resume every time you want to use your apps. Apparently this is on purpose, but the apps toggle button lags like crazy and sometimes won’t even turn off. I have left it on before and then i can’t use any of my apps for the rest of the day. The second problem is that you can’t get notifications on your excluded apps, period. I can’t even see the updates in general. Even if i can’t open the app it is nice to se the notifications. I have an etsy account, and I haven’t seen some of my orders because of this. Another problem that I know of is that facetime straight up can’t function. Even on the app, it always says “FaceTime failed” or “ending facetime”. My whole family was on this app and to be honest it caused way too many problems and chaos in the house compared to before the app was purchased. A quick story to tell about my experience, I was 14 at the time (nearly 17 now) in my first relationship, and I was on the bus home when my boyfriend at the time was breaking up with me. Coincidentally, our pact blocked my phone and my texts with my boyfriend during the time this was happening. My phone was set to ‘study time’ and I had to wait a pretty hard 3 hours until I could respond back and talk to him. In a situation like this, ourpact completely messed with my teenage years, from being blocked during concerts and music festivals, to mid break ups, to spending time with my friends and going to lunch. I would be blocked at all these times due to ‘study’. After a long talk with the family, we all decided to remove the app because of the drama surrounding us with it. ✓ This app is okayI completely understand the reason why parents want this app to monitor their children, and it is a great app. the only issue i have is, i am not addicted to my phone, because i am constantly going on walks, bike rides, running around the neighborhood, swimming, etc. i am very active, and don’t think this app should be used for kids who don’t have a problem with being addicted to their phone, because if anything this app has created an addiction for me. since i am limited to using fun apps on sleepovers, rainy days, etc., it has made me embarrassed & annoyed, because i have to go to my mom, ask for more screen time, and sometimes she doesn’t even say yes. i would really just prefer for this app to fix all of its bugs, because the app is automatically deleting my bible app, and i am very religious, so that is a problem for me. the app itself is also disappearing on my home screen (i can’t even find the app on my home screen) therefore i cannot unpause my screen AT ALL now, and it won’t even let me re-download the app, so now i am stuck with messages, phone, ft, and settings ALL THE TIME. at this point i am ticked off, and wouldn’t recommend it, because the glitches progressively get worse, and take over your phone to the point where you can barely even control it..Emma DobraVersion: 8.5

So why do I deserve this app on my phone? I don’t even use my phone, iPad, and other electronics that much! I have been on my electronics longer then I usually am because of this whole quarantine and COVID stuff but im talking to my friends because I can’t do anything else except chores, go outside and play outside BY MYSELF! I do all that stuff before I even touch my phone(text people, play games, etc.), I don’t have bad stuff on my phone or other electronics, I don’t have ANY social media platforms, all I have is, iMessages, gmail, google hangouts, FaceTime, and my phone app! I don’t know what I did to deserve having this app on my phone or other electronics, I have hacked a few of my electronics so this app isn’t on them anymore, but I still don’t know what I did to deserve this app! I don’t hangout around bad people and stuff like that. Parents if you are thinking about getting this app and apps like this, don’t do it!
