Doesn’t Update As Often As It ShouldAlthough this app shows currently burning wildfires it doesn’t update often. Right now it still shows active fires that have been contained and out for weeks. And if new fires start it can be days before it shows up on the maps..Version: 3.4.1

Broken AppCurrently this App does not function. The Incimap does not show and current fire data. Something simple probably that the app is not updating or showing current data. Also there is no way provided to report an issue to the creator or report a problem. I only find dead links. Too bad this was a nice app when it worked. Now it’s useless. Fix it ASAP or in the bin she goes with Happy Birds..Version: 3.4.3

The Sorry Demise of This AppThe “Free” addition has Banner ads like EVERYONE else, BUT these characters have recently decided to ALSO add FULL PAGE ads with AUDIO!!!! But wait... there’s more! You can’t close the blaring full page ad for a required amount of time! Everyone else who has tried full page ads has dropped that poorly advised money making scheme. Why? FPAs even without sound are so annoying, you ultimately make less from the 90% of people who refuse to pay subscription fees and dump your app or at the very least will now use it far less (10 % usage?) than they used to. While you screw around waiting until your revenues go down, you’ve also lost mega customers who have already deleted your app. Get with it !!!.Version: 3.1.1

Not showing firesI downloaded the app about a month ago and loved it. Two weeks ago i bought the annual subscription, and now it only populates fires from the USDA and NASA. The links still work to the InciWeb sight, but I don’t need this app to check that sight. I really do like the satellite imagery, but the information I rely on from Inci isn’t working right and would be great if it could get fixed..Version: 3.3.4

It doesn’t work.None of the data sets populates any fires except one that shows a very few fires in the west. Even when selecting “all” from other data sets nothing. Per this there is no fire in Hawaii. What makes it unusable is there is only an obscure contact form that never quits the “sending” stage..Version: 3.4.3

This would be a great app, if it worked.I can’t get anything to load which would be very dangerous as I am in a big fire zone. If I couldn’t get the data in time it could prove lethal. Shows me a nicely constructed map and a spinny progress bar that never finishes loading. No fire data at all. I hope they can fix this. Until then, I’ll be using a different app..Version: 2.2.3

App was great until the large incidents disappearedI used this app for a few months with confidence until a week or so ago when the large incidents view went blank. Unfortunately, I can’t even see the large fire 50 miles away from me in Oregon in any view so this has definitely undermined my confidence in the app. It’s wildfires. I’m in Oregon. If you only report some of the fires the app is useless and dangerous to depend upon. Please fix this and let us know when you have. Until then I’m deleting it. Bummer..Version: 2.2.3

What’s going on with this app?I’ve had this for about 3 years and it always worked very well. Right now and for the past couple of weeks, it shows nothing. According to this app, there’s no fires at all in the USA nor Canada. That’s in spite of 3 fires being around 100 miles from me. Uninstalling, then reinstalling got the same results. What’s going on here?.Version: 3.4.3

Good news...fires are all out!!!!Loved this at first but the the fires I am tracking intermittently disappear from the map and today when I checked, the entire country appeared to be fire free meaning every fire in the nation had fallen off the map. It also tracks fires that are no longer active. Great visually when data is current but inconsistent and unreliable. The ads never fail though..Version: 3.1.1

Not worth the hassleKeep crashing unexpectedly.Version: 2.2.3

Toy. Useless for tracking fires for personal safety.Useless for personal safety when we could see fires in the hills around us. Air quality monitoring sites were way more useful for timely safety information! Weather apps and local news had more useful accurate data! This was an interesting toy when we did not actually need it for personal safety..Version: 3.1.3

The app is not accurateThe developer knows there are issues and try’s denying the issues calling reviews fake. I have screenshots of the app not showing the willowfire until days later. Now creekfire is not live. Do not trust the app. Pls see other similar reviews. Spam lol just fix the app. There are other people stating the same issue, must be true. If it’s spam why to the fires in question magically appear in your app after my reviews? The creekfire is now there. I have screenshots from both issues and also how you claim spam but add the event after my review. St.Version: 3.3.0

Maps not loadingI have had the app for a while since I’m a wildland firefighter and like to keep track of the fires that are around, but the maps, especially the false color map mode is not loading at all. And that is a key factor in seeing where fires are at and how big they are. Please fix this issue. I am sure others are having the same problem. This was the only way I could ask for app support as the app creator has no contact info in the description or on the “developers” website. And none in the app itself.Version: 3.4.2

Not very intuitiveWay much going on to simply see what we need to see: where are the fires, where is the smoke coming from/going, how much is contained, where are the fires going potentially. Instead there’s ads, way too many layers/options to click through and can’t test most without subscription. Hopefully these are addressed because I don’t have time to mess around with overly complex interfaces..Version: 3.4.3

Mislabeled historical mapThis seems to be an awesome app with useful links going into cal fire season however the historical fire map is pretty mislabeled. The actual Creek fire from last summer is not on it yet and there is a creek fire labeled in Mariposa county. The Rim fire is missing completely and the giant fire east of the Telegraph and Detwiler fires isn’t labeled at all. While it may not be the developer’s fault the map is wrong they may consider using an accurate map link. I do like the resources links tho I haven’t cross referenced them for accuracy..Version: 3.3.3

Does not tell me anythingI downloaded this app as wildfire season is amongst us here in california, yet not one map provided on this app ever shows me where there are fires. It just shows a blank map with a loading sign. Would like to know when there is a fire nearby that could end my life or destroy my things.Version: 2.2.3

It’s okayIt is nice to have so many maps in one place. However, the maps and fire information are low resolution. I’ve decided to go back to just bookmarking the agency web pages to my home screen..Version: 3.1.3

Nothing Loads on MapsNothing shows for maps..Version: 3.4.3

Not alwaysGr8 app but as others hv said it can crash, now this might b the telco provider and range issue, otherwise needs to be fixed as this is not what you want for fire advice!.Version: 2.2.3

Invasive ads with recent updateI’ve been using this app for a couple years and love it. I live in fire country and this app provides a needed service. I do not mind seeing ads in exchange for this service. But after a recent app update, I am now seeing invasive, full-screen ads that will not allow me to exit until they have completed the 5-second countdown. This is a serious problem and they need to update it to get rid of the invasive ads. When people are looking for vital safety information, they shouldn’t be forced to watch ads. Stick to the smaller ones that show up in the corners. I’m fine with those. Your users are here to view vital safety information. We are not playing a video game. Many people don’t have 5 seconds to waste while waiting for information about wildfires. I find this unsafe and disrespectful..Version: 3.3.4
