Worst app everThis app is so glitchy and there are SO many ads. The pages bounce around while you’re trying to scroll and it freezes randomly. Half the time I have to open and kill the app 3-4 times because the app loads to an all white screen after spinning for a solid minute. My app is up to date and none of my other apps are this bouncy. It’s not my brand new phone it’s the app itself.Version: 1.32.0

Absolutely HATE!I would not use if the school didn’t force it. And I agree with another review. Welcome to a developer trying to monetize the heck out of an app. There are so many ads it’s infuriating to navigate. And if YOU want ad free then you have to pay. Screw you. I don’t want to use it anyways. Remind was/is such a better app. I hope no one pays and burns this app. Worthless. Update: worthless response from the developer. The school forces us to use it. Doesn’t pay for the ad free version. And then, the developer expects the parent to pay to remove ads. How about you quit being annoying and remove the bazillion ads. Or just keep a small banner at the bottom that stays out of the way..Version: 1.32.1

Can’t login anymoreI’m having so much trouble login to this app, I’m kind of stuck in a loop where it says I have no account but I know I have one and it continuously ask me for a code (for some reason, you need a code just to sign up) that doesn’t work anyway. And if I don’t have an account, as the app tells me, why am I spammed with all those ads from Classtag in my mailbox then?.Version: 1.23.0

Poor platform too many advertisementsThe platform was shifted to this for this school year and this is by far the worst. I get emails with specifically only advertisements more than school updates. The general school announcement don’t is very small with advertisement being absurdly large. Not recommended app..Version: 1.32.0

ScamIt was filled with ads that covered up buttons and words. I said whatever and paid for premium. The ads never went away. My renewal date said invalid and I was never notified of an upcoming charge- overdrafted my account because they made it look as though automatic renewal wasn’t happening and didn’t even show any date. The school barely used this app they insisted they were going to. The entire experience was frustrating. It constantly begs you to donate money and supplies but also said lists weren’t verified by the teacher… bet they were going to not even get supplies to the teachers..Version: 1.32.0

Too many adsThe ads are very distracting and sometimes make reading messages confusing..Version: 1.32.0

Not a fanI have had nothing but problems with this app. Half the time I can’t open it when the notification comes in indicating that the teacher has sent a message. It’s not very user friendly at all..Version: 1.23.4

It’s okayThe app is decent. I can understand having advertisements in an app that is free but some of the advertisements are placed and worded as if they are requirements for the class. For example there was a Kleenex ad that said something like “Every kid needs Kleenex in class.” Then it had a link to purchase them. If you didn’t read it closely you would think it was a requirement from the teacher or school. I see a lot of those kinds of disingenuous ads that look organic to a teacher’s post. I feel it is very intentional and very deceptive..Version: 1.32.0

Full of ads and will spam your emailSo many ads and emails. They forgot the purpose of their app.Version: 1.32.0

PoorEvery time I use the app it asks me to verify email address. It hasn’t ever changed. And I’m not getting notifications from the app as my settings say I should. Parents and teachers both are missing out on important information since the app is working properly. Something has changed in the last year. Fix this app.Version: 1.32.0

Don’t donatePlease do not donate to teachers using this app. It is better to either donate directly to the teacher or ask for something you could send with your kiddo. It is absolutely infuriating to see parents donate money only for it to be turned into coins and the supplies teachers have to pick from are outrageously overpriced. A three pack of disinfectant wipes for the equivalent of $19? Absurd..Version: 1.32.0

Helpful, but not intuitive to useNice way to communicate with parents. Seems like it could be more intuitive to navigate creating messages and choosing who will receive them..Version: 1.32.1

Too many adsVery annoying ad placement and the ads are EVERYWHERE. It’s hard to see messages from teachers because it in between huge ads. I wish my teacher would use ClassDojo. Much better layout and let’s my kid see the what her teacher posts in a kid friendly feed..Version: 1.32.0

Full of non-stop adsIf you ever sign up as a parent to receive notification from the teacher. Class tag would send you hundreds of ads from different advertisers. The worst part is that you can’t really manage the notifications. If you are sign up for your class only, they will still send you promotional emails. I works in the mobile app industry and I know this is poorly done..Version: 1.32.3

Reloads constantly on iPhoneThe Classtag program works great, however whenever I open the app on my phone, it constantly reloads so I can’t type any messages. Other than that, I have no issues..Version: 1.28.1

Like it, but…I have had parents tell me that they do not really like Class Tag because the ads really bother them. A couple of parents who are also teachers even suggested I use a different platform for parent communication..Version: 1.32.0

I wouldn’t use it if I didn’t have toThis app is what you get when a developer spends 90% of their time figuring out how to monetize an app, and 10% of their time making a usable app. I don’t understand the glowing reviews. Must be from a review farm or something. Every inch of this thing is filled with obtrusive ads. I get it, you need to make money. But when that is clearly done at the cost of any usability, you’re doing it wrong. Be careful you don’t accidentally tap somewhere when you’re trying to navigate, because you’ll be kicked out to one of their sponsors. Conveniently , the screenshots don’t show ANY of the ads you will be bombarded with inside this app. I only use this because my child’s teacher uses it. I would never choose this app/service voluntarily. Even the emails are awful. Do better. I have apps that find a balance between ads and usability. It is possible..Version: 1.32.0

Not App friendlyThis app use to be better. Last year it was simple. This year they jacked it up with log-in social media linking and it signs me out after every use. I can’t “activate” my profile even when I click on “activate now”… The ads get in the way of important information the teachers are posting. I missed several cool posts about my child’s first day. Luckily I did some digging and found them after another parent asked if I had seen the first day of school pictures… And lastly there just aren’t enough parent options to filter through what is being sent to me notification-wise. Super not user friendly. Will be recommending a different app to future teachers. :/.Version: 1.32.0

Basic App with tons of adsScreen for the unpaid tier is half full of ads. It also kicks you over to Safari to show an ad immediately upon launching this app. You might not have much choice if your child’s teacher uses ClassTag. But other apps do the same thing, but better..Version: 1.32.1

Need less obstructive adsThe ads are obnoxious when it’s mostly just a web app. My opinion isn’t going to change this but if enough people complain, maybe. I do t mind paying to get rid of them but only if they are non-obstructive to begin with. As for the app features, it’s pretty good. One on one chats work great. Group chats and comments to posts work well..Version: 1.32.0

Okay but missing featuresPrimarily used for parent communication/daily notes; it does that- to the bare minimum I found the inbox system to be extremely cumbersome. Sometimes to continue scrolling for messages, I would have to close out and reopen the app. This lead to me using my email to check messages, however there is no way to clear the notifications from the app in bulk. So while I’m caught up on parent communication, I have over 1000 notifications on the app, which can only be cleared by going through each message, which makes me close and reopen the app. Add some more user friendly features and this app can go from being just okay, to great.Version: 1.32.0

Too many adsI like that this app allows for me to keep up with what’s going on in my son’s class, but there are way too many ads to close out to get to the content..Version: 1.32.0

Needs better text messagesSoooo... we’ve been using REMIND app and what we love is the direct communication (no need to divert into the App, messages are received directly as texts. It’s a huge time saver!) I would give ClassTag 5 stars if they used the same, easy to access message approach. It takes SO much extra time to open click on the text notification, open the app, wait for it to open (its quite slow) go f the message box icon, click on it, find the unread message, click on it. Click on it again. Click on it again. Wait fir it to decide to open. Message opens. Finally get to read the message. I much prefer Remind for this. Or just a text message! What I like- unlike REMIND, you can better organize your class- ask for volunteers, plan activities, request task specific help. Also, this app will send out reminder messages for you to parents- do you don’t have to..Version: 1.10.0

I love the app but WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for a teacherI’m really sad that they charge so much for this app. I actually think it’s a little ridiculous, especially when Remind and Class Dojo are free with minimal ads. I think the concept of this app is wonderful but no way worth $60 at a cough, “discounted rate”. . . their exact words. Go directly to Remind! Do not look back!!!.Version: 1.32.0

Good, but...I haven’t been able to open the app for quite some time. There are messages from my child’s teacher that I can’t read..Version: 1.21.9

It’s ok could be betterI wish I could delete old conversations and classrooms. It works well to communicate with my parents. It can be slow sometimes. Wish it had a calendar..Version: 1.21.8

AddsWould be much better if it wasn’t flooded with adds and so expensive to remove them. App is functional and is pretty easy to use.Version: 1.32.1

Ads Ads Reload Reload rerouted for another adThe app would be great if the apps weren’t constantly popping up or rerouting you for the ad to an internet page! If it’s not the ads then you have to reload your page sometimes multiple times a day which they say is because they are “pushing out updates”. Going back to class DOJO next year!.Version: 1.32.0

Too Slow...The capabilities of the app are great but it takes too long to load. If I am switching from the home page to my inbox it takes way too long to acknowledge that I have clicked to see a different screen. If this could be fixed then ClassTag would be truly amazing.Version: 1.11.0

Ads are out of control!I appreciate the desire to serve teachers and offer the platform for free. However, the content I get from ClassTag is 90% ads. The ad sits between title and the subject. In a recent email update it was little title, giant ad, little subject, giant ad again. When I view messages from the teacher, the message pane slides off screen because we need to scroll down to make room for ads. The advertising is done so poorly and over the top, I have no idea why I would pay for the product. It leaves me zero confidence they could deliver a good experience..Version: 1.32.0

A terrible, ad-infested, privacy horror showThis app is effectively a virus, at least given the breadth of use granted by the supposed privacy policy. Your data is harvested and combined with third party data sources to make you a lucrative advertising target. All so we can talk to our kids’ teachers. It’s ridiculous. And the subscription price is a laughable $50+ per year without any guarantee that the data collection will stop. I can’t offer suggestions to improve the app. The app makers will predictably claim that adware keeps the app free. I understand. But this app shouldn’t exist. We should be able to communicate with teachers without selling ourselves to advertisers..Version: 1.32.1

If you like ads not related to your child…I have received more emails about sponsored products than I have about my child's class that I apparently can’t opt out of even though I opt out of everything. This app is a burden. Will be deleting if it doesn’t get better. Spam emails are the worst and I’ve only had this app for a week. Using the apps free option and in no way would I ever want to subscribe for $4 a month just to not be bothered by ads. I can delete the app and get the same thing..Version: 1.32.0

The worst of many school apps so farWe’ve been through them all, or so it seems. This year it’s Class Tag. Be prepared for a million ads (or pay to remove them - hello school equity issues!), and a clunky interface that makes it difficult to navigate (comms with teacher vs app?!) Notifications pop up and then there’s nothing new in the app. I don’t need an entire section devoted to Walmart. Just a simple, streamlined way to send/receive messages & read announcements from teacher. Really wish my school had at switched..Version: 1.32.3

SlowI never write reviews. I hate using this app, after going from class dojo to this, I’m very spoiled. Only using because my child’s teacher is using it. This app is slow, and almost every time I open it, it tells me to reopen to update, but when I try to update, there is never an update. The other times I open the app, it automatically sends me to an outside website. I wish I could completely delete this app..Version: 1.32.0

FrustratedI understand the need for ads when something is free but I can’t even use it. I currently can’t reply to a private message from my child’s teacher because there’s an ad covering where I am supposed to reply. The x doesn’t work to exit the ad. Really frustrating. I guess I’ll just send an email to reply..Version: 1.32.0

Too many ads and useless emailsOur daycare switch from Remind to this App. It is terrible and I would recommend against it. Filled with ads (unless you pay them for a membership) and I get useless junk e-mail from them. Would absolutely not recommend..Version: 1.32.0
