✓ App functionality is sketchyMost of the widgets in the app work contact, gps but Connecting to Spotify crashes the app every time. If they get that right then possibly a useable app. 05/01/18 update - Spotify still crashing..Version: 1.1.2
✓ GarbageI have struggled with this gadget and hudway ld tech support for 6 months. Support has been less than helpful or really has offered any help other than YouTube videos and a 50 dollar credit. I was given this credit to essentially go away. But I was told even though I couldn’t return the device that I could have a credit and give it away as a gift or sell it. Well I’ve tried it on 5 iPhones and 2 androids and not once could I get it to work reliably. Fidgeting with this device while driving is an absolute hazard as it constantly goes out. It is not a reliable hud. And I’m super angry that how this company has treated me and stalled me out past return. I was told by a second person that I could return it and then kasy quickly jumped in to tell me I couldn’t. Your product doesn’t work and your business practices are questionable..Version: 1.2.8
✓ EXTREMELY POOR APP. NO STARSNot a whole lot works on the app. Cannot listen to blue tooth phone songs while using the app. The navigation is a joke. Wished I did not believe the advertising. ✓ Waste of moneyContacted support but took ages to reply (4months). I chucked the device as it’s unusable anymore. Had only been using Hudway Cast for 7 months then it stopped performing as advertised. What a waste of money. Poor customer service, won’t purchase any product from this company. ✓ Unusable. I had just high hopes.I brought this home so happy and ready to use it. I plug it in and get it setup and lone behold the app can’t pick it up. So I hardwired it in then it said a firmware update was available. I thought “oh sweet yeah this will update it and get it right” but all it did was display what I think they thought was cute as a “something went wrong” I backed out and tried again and it didn’t work. I tried using it as is and sure enough when I pressed “cast to hub” it casted the screen previous. Then I tried apple maps but that didn’t work because of the rotation of the phone. ✓ Needs improvementCar: 2015 Infiniti Q50 limited. Phone: iPhone X *I’ve only given this app 2 stars because I believe you can do better, addressing these concerns. Once improvements are made I will happily upgrade my rating in the App Store. Feedback: 1) I can’t fit it directly in front of me so I had to mount it in the centre. On an angle. And the mounting pad sort of drips off the dash. Not as pretty as o would have like it. 2) Your app keeps crashing when I try to launch Spotify. Makes me re-log-in / approve control by Hudway since my Spotify account is linked (logged in) through my Facebook account. 3) Nowhere does it state in the instructions or forums that you need to be first connected to the WiFi/AirPlay of the HUD before you connect to the Bluetooth of your vehicle, in order to have the audio stream through the car while casting video to the device. I figured it out but would have been a helpful / simple instruction to include. 4) Waze is my preference for map directions because of the live traffic info. The issue is that when you select it as a preferred map within the app, it only launches Waze and sets directions - thereby mirroring my phone screen to the HUD. What it should do is launch it inside the app frame so that Hudway app can still maintain the secondary control panel face on the phone. 5) Where is the text messaging option? My phone favorites do not show that control option..Version: 1.1.1

✓ The Cast doesn’t work with iOS 11 and up02/07/2019 Update: the recent update has allowed me to cast to the HUDWAY while still connected to my car. Great direction, now to work out having it always connect. It connects maybe 25% of the time. 11/19/2018 Update: Still doesn’t work. 11/12/2018 Update: So with the new update that supposedly fixes the issue. I can say that nothing has changed. It still doesn’t stay connected. So it’s pointless to have an app meant for device that doesn’t work. You can connect your phone to it and it’ll disconnect 30 secs later. The creator says it’s apples fault. If that’s the case then don’t sell it saying it supports apple. I was told to get an android device to use the app and HUDWAY Cast..Version: 1.2.6
✓ Great simple UI but...The only reason I am not going with one star because the User Interface is simple and nice. I love it because my vehicle does not have Car Play... but do not forget to close the app when you are done. It not only drained my battery but made my phone hot to touch and I even have a case on my phone. Yes it was that hot!!!.Version: 1.2.9

✓ Doesn’t see my Hudway HUDThe whole point of this app is to connect to the HUD. I turned off my phone, played with WiFi settings and connections, turned off the HUD. ✓ Crooks through and through with cheap junk.***UPDATE 3: They said they'd authorize a return. I paid return shipping and then they've completely ignored any communication (it's been over a month). As intriguing as their products seem, know they are crooks and the product is fancy junk. ***UPDATE 2: The lies and deceit continue. Seriously, don't even entertain buying this. You will be scammed. ***UPDATE: Developer gave another excuse on Kickstarter but then promptly ceased all communication. It's just one lie after another. Please do not trust this product. There is currently a class action being set up against the Hudway devs. This app goes along with the Hudway cast. For an unknown reason, the creator has ceased contact with his Kickstarter investors and looks like paid orders are no longer being shipped out. Extreme caution is warranted..Version: 1.2.2
✓ Useless appI bought the device years ago just after they released it. Connected the device by OBD, cannot “cast to HUD” the navigation. I thought a firmware update might solve the problem but never had any notification for updates from this app. got no reply to my email sent about one and half years ago. I thought they gave up the business as I gave up the device. Surprisingly found they are still selling! Just sent another email asking for support, hopefully they have someone doing the job.Version: 1.2.11
✓ Great HUD with some limitationsThis is one of the best HUDs that work with the iOS but it has some limitations making the experience somewhat disappointing. When casting to the HUDWAYCast the iOS will not be able to send sound through Bluetooth to your car stereo. This limitation takes away the music player built-in the application as you cannot hear the music on your car stereo but only on the small speaker built-in the HUDWAYCast. When using the HUDWAYCast as an standalone works great but you cannot enjoy the stereo sound while using HUDWAYCast. Other limitations include the lack of stability while using the airplay that will stop suddenly without reason. They should have included a direct HDMI connection for iOS just as they did for android. Overall has potential and I hope they work out the current issues to give us the full HUD experience..Version: 1.2.5
