Speech Tutor Pro for Positive User Reviews

Great appI love this app so far! I’m anxious to dive in and so are the students! I love the visuals, they are especially helpful when working on tongue/placement. I also love that you can share the info with the parents, students and teachers. Overall great one stop shop!.Version: 4.1.2

Great app to teach speech articulation placementI have used this app for over a decade to teach a new sound to my students. A lot of them think it’s kind of creepy but it really helps them to understand what to do with their lips, tongue and jaw..Version: 4.0.2

Great app for elementary studentsMy students really benefit from the videos displaying the correct articulator placement. I also really like the ability to tap the tabs on the bottom to change the position of the sound in the word as well as the level you are working on. It’s great so far! Can’t wait to continue using it and maximizing my data with the in app progress graphing..Version: 4.1.12

Speech Therapy Pro is a must have for artic therapy!Love this app and have recommended it for parents to download for homework practice between weekly sessions. The videos are helpful to explain tongue placement and students can get immediate feedback with their own recordings..Version: 4.1.1

Speech tutor proI like it! When it changed it took a bit to get accustomed to the change. I look forward to seeing what you do. Hopefully I don’t have to repurchase it again to use it..Version: 2.2.3

Mom and app reviewerAs a mom I love apps that carry over skills for my kids. We use the videos and tried the screen for my son who struggles with articulation. I am going to talk to their SLP about data too! Good value for the $$.Version: 2.2.3

Great app!I use this app to show my kids how to produce their sounds. IT is especially helpful when it is a very difficult sound for them Otto understand. While I use a variety of apps, the kids like to be able to see their sound and then see what they said. It is a great app. K Scarboro.Version: 4.1.2

Awesome AppI have had this app for years and I have used it numerous times. I love how I can show my students what their tongues are supposed to be doing. The kids love the games and pictures..Version: 4.1.11

Love this app!I am an itinerant SLP who covers 4 schools with about 80 students. I love this app because I can take it with me on my iPad (very portable!) and—the best part—I can email results and practice words right to the parent! No need to make copies or spend extra time trying to get materials together! This is absolutely my new favorite thing!.Version: 4.1.11

This is great!I just love Speech Tutor Pro! As an SLP in a Kindergarten through grade 5 school, I’m always looking for something that will appeal to all ages and abilities. The videos help So Many of my students with correct placement. They actually ask me to show them the videos. The games and cards are engaging for students of all ages. I use Speech Tutor Pro all the time on my iPad..Version: 4.1.5

Fantastic for Quick Arctic!I’ve been using Speech Tutor Pro for 5+ years now. The video modeling is incredible, especially in the last two years where we are wearing masks and I’m apprehensive about going “in” a kid’s mouth with tools to teach placement..Version: 4.1.1

Favorite App!This is one of my go-to apps, especially when traveling. All articulation and phonology cards in one place, along with simple games and stories, makes my therapy bag a little light and a lot less to remember when packing up for the day..Version: 4.1.11

Great app for SLPs to target speech soundsI am a pediatric SLP working in private practice. I enjoy using this app with all of my speech sound clients. I love that I can edit sounds based on each client and have those sounds saved. I appreciate the different themes, including being able to use no themes for my older clients. Some of the navigation isn’t intuitive, and some of the games are a little challenging for kids to play, like the story maker. But overall, I love the app and love all of the updates! My favorite feature is the videos showing the speech sounds. This has been a game-changer for my kids who are visual learners. The app is well worth the cost!.Version: 4.0.2

Super convenient to have with you on the goMobile app makes it easy to whip out your phone and target the sound in the hallways while on the go; would be good for drill bursts. Loading time can take a bit, but I love the idea behind the screeners!.Version: 4.1.2

Great visual support!I have been using Speech Tutor for years! The visual support this app gives has been very helpful to many of my students struggling with various sounds. The ability to watch themself make a sound in conjunction with the videos has been instrumental in making progress on multiple occasions..Version: 4.1.5

Helpful with new kiddosThe articulation videos have been most helpful with me when working with a student who is new to speech therapy. My students enjoy the comparison feature.Version: 4.1.5

Amazing AppIf you ever wish your artic. clients could see inside your mouth, this is app for you! Gives accurate tongue placement and air flow for all phonemes..Version: 4.1.1

Excellent app with useful visualsI love using this app with my school based s/l students. The app has great visuals showing placement for articulation of sounds. The app is fun and engaging for my students. Glad I got this!.Version: 4.1.11

My favorite articulation appI’ve been through a lot of the articulation apps, and this one is by far my favorite! The pictures are high quality and easy to recognize and my kids love the games!.Version: 4.1.1

Good for school based therapyI have previously used Artic Pics and Articulation station apps. I currently use speech tutor deluxe. I really like the videos for showing placement on this app. The price point is better than comparable apps. I also like that I can progress monitor multiple students during a single session. I wish the data was split by initial, medial, final and that it was easier to select those options during card deck practice. The built in graphing is great and an easy way to show students their progress..Version: 4.1.11

Still learningI just upgraded to the Pro version and am still exploring all the options. The students enjoy the videos and the ability to score themselves keeps them engaged. Hoping to see some activities in that section soon!.Version: 2.2.3

Great for Teletherapy VisualsI am an SLP working in the public schools. This app is great for teaching tongue shape and placement for students in-person and on Zoom, particularly for sounds whose placement is not readily visible. I love that you can pull the videos up while working on practice cards for a quick review. My students love to watch the videos forwards and backwards! Being able to use the slider to move through the video is also super helpful to combat the lag that sometimes happens with Zoom. I wish there was the ability to annotate on a paused video or use a laser pointer (to, for example, highlight points of contact). As for now, it works to take a screen shot of the video, then switch to the photo app and annotate there..Version: 4.1.1

A Great StartI'm excited to start working more with this app. I'm awaiting the games, which will be fun for the students. The videos and pictures are great teaching tools. It is a bit difficult moving between students and takes some getting used to when trying to figure it all out..Version: 2.2.3

Love this app!I’m a school-based SLP and love to use this app. My students like the pictures and benefit so much from the videos. I like the repetition of the stimuli, so my students get multiple tries on the vocabulary. The customization is very useful. My students love looking at their results at the end of the session and seeing their graph of progress. Looking forward to these updates!.Version: 4.0.2

Great app for articulationWonderful app that I use with a variety of students! They enjoy the videos to get an idea of how sounds are made and it is so easy to target multiple sounds..Version: 4.1.11

Great versatile app!I’ve been using speech tutor pro for a few years now, and it’s replaced most of physical cards, especially with having to travel to multiple buildings. Great App!.Version: 4.1.5

Great videosSpeech tutor pro has great videos to show my students..Version: 4.1.9

Love the videosI love this already. The speed change for the videos is super helpful for students with slower processing speeds. I am looking forward to how great of a prompt this will be for my kids!.Version: 2.2.4

Lots of different activitiesI love that in addition to the articulation activities there are games, sound loaded stories, language stories, parent information, and screening material..Version: 4.1.11

Speech Tutor ProI have just started using this app... the videos on how to produce the sounds have been helpful when students are struggling to figure out how to get a correct production. The tutorials are helpful for exploring the app. I am excited to see the sections of the app that are “coming soon”..Version: 2.2.3

Speech Tutor ProLooking forward to using this as I get to know the format and how to navigate the app. I think it will be a nice change of pace for students who prefer technology based activities, or for any student, for that matter..Version: 4.1.5

Wonderful app for Artic therapyI use this app frequently as a school based SLP. My favorite part are the videos that show how to move articulators in the mouth. Those visuals really help for those trickier sounds. I also love the ability to take data right on the app as well as being able to switch targets (word position and level) without having to exit and begin again..Version: 4.0.2

Love this appThis app makes my artic clients so much easier. I have saved goals for each and can toggle between children in groups. My favorite part is the parent email option to share results and targets after our session for home practice!.Version: 4.1.11

New userI’m just learning how to use the app, but so far I like it. I’m not as much interested in client sessions as I am in Articulation cards and videos showing the correct placement. These are very helpful for both kids and adults..Version: 2.2.3

Very versatileI like that I can pull this up on my iPad, and also use it on my laptop when doing teletherapy, which makes this app very versatile..Version: 4.1.9

Awesome visuals! This app has amazing visuals, especially for those harder to see sounds like K/G/R. A life saver especially during COVID. Also love that it helps me with planning, for easy yet thorough sessions with my students..Version: 4.1.1

So helpful!I’m an elementary school based SLP. This app has been extremely helping for giving my students a visual for articulatory placement. It has also helped me teach interns about proper placement and how to instruct the students during therapy. I’m so happy to see that the app was recently updated! I haven’t had a chance to try out all of the features, but this is one therapy app I couldn’t do without. I highly recommend it!.Version: 4.1.5

Easy to UseI’m an SLP and this app is great. It is easy to navigate and has great visuals. I use this with most clients as the app has minimal pair words/cards for the most common phonological processes. I highly recommend..Version: 4.1.1

Use dailyI am a public schools SLP working with preschool and elementary age students. They love the video tutorials and enjoy being able to use the camera to view themselves as they try and produce sounds. For my older students, I appreciate having the vocalic r sound options (er, or, ar, rl, ear, ire). I have also found the graphs helpful. Would love the option to print or email homework..Version: 4.1.2

Great SupportThis app has been amazing for my speech students. It allows immediate feedback and I love that I can show them progress on a colored chart. The technical support has been amazing with constant updates available. Thank you for developing a great app..Version: 4.1.5

Adult with ApraxiaAs an adult with apraxia who currently working in speech on minimal pairs find this app very helpful. We can work on them any where we have free time. Really also like the video. Only think like to see them add future is when to turn vocal cords on or off in videos. But overall very great app for practicing..Version: 2.2.3

Great videos!Love this app for many reasons, but in a world in which masking is a reality, the placement videos have been a lifesaver! Clear masks are a descent compromise, but visibility for articulately movements is definitely impacted. Highly recommend..Version: 4.1.5

Speech Tutor ProWow! This app has everything! There is good information, excellent visual representations of how sounds are made, and assessment and treatment applications. The activities are engaging and can take kids from sound practice through storytelling with their sounds and words. I highly recommend this app for SLP’s who are working with kids who have speech and language goals. Larissa Schrader, SLP.Version: 4.1.2

Great appI work in elementary school setting with a high caseload with a range of needs. This app is great to use in a small group or 1:1 setting. It has highly motivating activities and easy to target multiple goals during a session. Highly recommend this app!.Version: 4.1.2

Useful appThe videos have been useful for showing some of my older students (grade 4 and 5) how to make their speech sounds. The practice cards are handy, especially being able to group students together and switch easily between the practice cards for each student..Version: 2.2.4

I use this dailyI love this app and use it with all of my artic kiddos. Many of my kids are older students, and they don’t find the app too babyish. This also works well for the kiddos I see via teletherapy. This app has been well worth the money!.Version: 4.1.11

Across the lifespan functionalityThis app has been so helpful for supporting articulation goals across my entire caseload of children and adults. The ability to alter the app appearance is also helpful for transitioning between younger and older kids and adults (TBI, HNC, etc). The videos of articulator movements during sound production are so clear and helpful! The support for the app is phenomenal. Corey is quick to respond and eager to resolve issues or answer questions..Version: 2.2.3
