✓ A neat addition to a writer’s toolkitA largely unremarkable App that sits very neatly between the very plain and simple text editor and more sophisticated text editing Apps. Very few bells and mostly no whistles … but that is mostly the point. I use this simple accessory text editor to quickly dump notes out of my mind as I read journal articles, later transferring my text to a more substantial document editor. There are two features that make Jot Pronto a real hoot: the ability to define a portion of the screen that Jot Pronto occupies (nice tidy display for spontaneous note-taking), and the business of keeping the editor window on-top, above others. A little more refinement and quicker access to typeface and text size facilities would make this neat little App quite the go-to note jotting App for a pretty wide audience. ✓ Good concept. Needs a some improvement.I was tired TextEdit needing mutiple clicks for just for a fast note. So a big positive, enough to be 4 stars and ongoing use. BUT even though you can change the menu, it appear to be only for the one use then back to default. So some way to make the menu changes stick. (maybe I’m missing something) Maybe the spell checker could be include in the menu bar in addition to the pull down menus. A help file or help forum would be nice. But definately worth the couple of dollars. It gets 90% of my use now..DrDanCFTVersion: 1.0
