✓ Fantastic Old School Shoot-em-up!This is a fantastic game. If you enjoyed old school shoot-em-ups, like R-Type you’ll surely love this. The difficulty level, for me, is judged perfectly. You *almost* make it to the next level so many times. It’s difficult in places but not frustratingly so. Perfectly judged to make you press the continue button for one more go. And you learn the attack waves and patterns with each effort. This is the reward from playing again and again. It’s the part that so many games do not succeed at getting just right. One negative is, like many touch screen games, the controls can be a little unresponsive at times, but it’s the limitation of the device, not the game. I soon got used to it, though. One of the best games I’ve played on my iPad Pro. Highly recommended..KatatypeVersion: 1.2.1

That, combined with the unforgivable 8-bit difficulty makes for an unpleasant experience. There is a reason why game companies got away with super hard games in the late 80s: there were few alternatives and they wanted the content to last. Nowadays, it’s not that the gamer is a wimp, there’s just myriad games to play and other virtual stuff to do. So, at a certain point the game is just not worth it.
